Phasing into our reality with instructions for the new cooking technique, J. Kenji López-Alt returned from the Beef Dimension with a previously unknown sear method that was beyond human comprehension, sources confirmed Tuesday. “I have glimpsed the cosmic dance of the meat and the stovetop and borne witness to beef’s true nature,” said the chef and bestselling author of The Food Lab, who reportedly caused those around him to grow concerned as he jabbered incoherently about mountains of non-Euclidean tri-tips that needed to be cooked on high for both an instant and a thousand eternities. I've been trying for months to figure out why my mac and cheese has been coming out bitter lately – is it the cheese? The spices? The tap water? – and I've just now discovered that apparently it's actually the macaroni. Something in the pasta itself is leaching a strong bitter flavour into the water when boiled; I hadn't noticed before because I'd never tasted the pasta without the sauce.
I have a box of bitter pasta. What the fuck.

All I want for Christmas is Mobility? 🎅🏻
Hello friends. My name is Enya and I have been suffering from Diabetic Neuropathy I have been slowly losing my ability to walk short and long distances. I have been experiencing mild to severe pain that has affected my mobility. This is why I am fundraising for a motorized wheel chair to gain some semblance of my independance.
Here is a general understanding of Diabetic Neuropathy.
I am happy and grateful to announce that so far I have raised $75
Special Thank you 💕

I'm guessing my grocery delivery service is having stocking issues right now; I just stepped out my front door to retrieve their latest delivery and found, instead of the expected returnable cardboard carton, a large bubble mailer containing a single loaf of bread.

Guacamole: a byproduct of avocado, which I loathe. Technically, I have never actually tried guacamole, but I can't bring myself to do it, because I know it's largely mooshed-up seasoned avocado.
Olives: Awful nuggets of bitter. If you want briny bits in your food, capers are right there.
Mango: I adore mango -- I think I get this from my mom, whose lasting contribution to the discipline of theology was the idea that the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil could not have been an apple, because no mere apple can teach you the Knowledge of Good and Evil. For that, you need a mango.
Hummus: It's fine.
Tomatoes: One of the most delicious and versatile things on the planet. Also one of the few plants that is just as good when canned.
Cannolis: These are one of Italy's great gifts to the world, I say as someone who grew up in a largely Italian-American town. I actually prefer mini-cannolis to the full-scale ones, and like most pastries, they're better when they're really fresh.
FOOD DISCOURSE: reblog with ur opinions on guacamole, olives, mango, hummus, tomatoes, and cannolis
