“Following your own star means isolation, not knowing where to go, having to find out a completely new way for yourself instead of just going on the trodden path everybody else runs along. That's why there's always been a tendency in humans to project the uniqueness and the greatness of their own inner self onto outer personalities and become the servants, the devoted servants, admirers, and imitators of outer personalities.
It is much easier to admire a great personality and become a pupil or follower of a guru or a religious prophet, or an admirer of a big, official personality.
That is much easier than following your own star.”
— Marie-Louise von Franz

"If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open doors to you. I say follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be."
Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth, with Bill Moyers
I know Joseph Campbell was not without faults but I have found what he says here to be true.

Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.

2024.10.23 | You cannot appreciate joy or happiness without knowledge of pain and suffering. The negative and positive experiences in life are 2 sides of the same coin.
What we need to develop is the skill to accept the negative experiences and find a way to turn it into a positive ingredient for our personal growth and life journey.

If somebody asked me what is the one thing I want right now, my answer would be
Just to stay where I am for a while, at least a day, to rest, give myself time to prepare for the future, work hard for my future and just be in my self-made paradise.
‘Cause lately life has been anything but that and that’s okay because this is what I chose and there’s no going back now.
That’s how it is and I know that, because it’s not just with me but with everyone around me.
Sometimes we need a break and that’s okay.
“It’s okay to stop and step back for a while. Just make sure that your comeback has to be worth it.”🦋✨
You too, no matter what you did and how it has been lately, give a minute to introspect and get back to work to make your life the way you dream for it to be.

With love,
XOXO,
Kay…>>

Do it scared, you can’t be overwhelmed by just being on the sidelines. Your ideas are cool, your taste is dope, your style is unique. Take the first step and the directions for the next step will show up I promise 🙏🏽

Rumi’s statement is very revolutionary: "Do not move because of fear." All the religions say to people, “Fear God!” Mahatma Gandhi used to say, “I do not fear anybody but God.” When I heard this, I said this is the most stupid statement anybody can make. You can fear everybody, but don’t fear God because God can only be approached through love. God is not a person, but the universal heartbeat. If you can sing with love and dance with love… an ordinary activity like whirling out of love…. Joy and celebration are enough to reach to the innermost sanctum of being and existence. You all have been living out of fear. Your relationships are out of fear. Fear is so overwhelming — like a dark cloud covering your life — that you say things which you don’t want to say, but fear makes you say them. You do things which you do not want to do, but fear makes you do them.

Here is something that I just understood all of a sudden about the reason why we chose to come to earth.
If you have always been in heaven, you do feel loved and blessed every single day, yet you would never be able to experience heaven the way a soul who has gone through hardships would. They would certainly appreciate heaven way more and feel so much more blessed to be able to exist in heaven for the rest of eternity, as they have gone through hell where they never knew heaven could ever even exist for them. And the more extreme hardships they have gone through, the more blessed they would feel. Same as, if you want to FULLY experience the blessings of weath, you would not just choose a life where you are born into extreme weath and go with it until you die; you would want to choose a life staritng from extreme poverty and then all the way going into extreme wealth. The experience you have in that is someone who's born into wealth would never ever have. The more contrast you experience, the more blessed out you feel.
The contrast is so much more important and profound than what I have thought to be.
I have chosen a life to experience extreme loneliness for almost a decade before my spiritual awakening. I feel like a shooting star, from the bottom of my life where I felt completely left out, misunderstood, misfit, isolated, alienated everyone single moment, all the way up to overwhelming bliss where I understood and am embodying how connected and guided and fully understood I truly am. This contrast is so much more blissful than the heaven itself.
The happiest in heaven are not those who'are alway and forever in the positive end of the stick of polarity, but those who have gone through both.
With that understanding, now when I look at life, it is indeed all about more blessings and more fully understanding of love, and nothing else really.
A lifetime of suffering, even 100 lifetimes, in eternity is nothing more than a blink of an eye.
Looking at it this way, you really want to welcome more challenges in this short life as they really will help remind how much blessed you are when you're back home.
Aha moments
