Just an abstraction waiting to happen.

I transcribed most of this from my tiktok video. Tumblr is new to me when it comes to posting, so this could be templated wrong, I shall see. If you'd rather not read, you can check the video on the first image if I paste the link correctly.

If there's one thing this show is consistent with. It's foreshadowing.

Also parallels, but they go hand in hand.

The focus in this post, however, will be on Ragatha, with a little bit of Gangle wrapped in (ribbon pun intended).

A light bulb lit up in my head after I read this post on tumblr. I had to rush to write the idea down in my notes because I have the mind of a polished coconut. (I highly recommend you read their other analysis posts, and heck, there's something there for shippers too).

Basically, I will be mentioning scenes that I believe are hints for our people pleasing rag dolly becoming the most likely to abstract character of the group.

First of all, Ragatha already had a taste of what abstraction felt like. Pomni did as well, but only from trying to help her up. (Can I just add that they shared a spark-)

She told Ragatha that she would go find Caine, but unfortunately she never did come back after she finds herself lured by the exit door.

If Ragatha were to end up fully abstracted, I would like to think Pomni finds a way to not fail her this time around. Although, abstraction does appear to be a permanent fate. Maybe.

Now back to the tumblr post. It was mentioned that Gangle and Ragatha reflect each other. Both are masking a happy facade, except one doesn't use an actual mask.

So with that parallel between them in mind.

Almost everyone thought Gangle would abstract in this scene…

if it weren't for Pomni's intervention.

So if Gangle was saved… and she's a mirror of Ragatha… our ragdoll will not be so lucky. And that would mean Pomni won't be enough, or even around, to save her this time.

But I keep thinking about the pilot. I want to hold onto the hope of that failed trust being a lesson on what not to do when a close friend is on the brink of insanity, and that Pomni or anyone else has learned from it.

Ragatha is her main caregiver, but Kinger and/or Zooble step in whenever she’s busy.

Pomni is always on her best behavior. She doesn’t want to upset anyone or feel like a burden. She does have her slip-ups, but Ragatha is there to help her learn right from wrong in a calm manner.

Pomni apologizes a lot, even when it’s not her fault or for minor stuff.

She finds the bright colors and patterns around her very overstimulating when she’s small.

She doesn’t really like toys that flash lights and make too much noise. She prefers quiet toys like stuffies and fidget toys.

She also likes low-stimulating shows, such as Sarah & Duck, Tumble Leaf, and Puffin Rock.

She sleeps in Ragatha’s room whenever she regresses. She has a bedside crib next to Ragatha’s bed.

Pomni has her own sensory space to help her calm down. She also goes to Kinger’s pillow fort if she wants to.

She prefers to wear hoodies, sweatshirts, and pajama pants alongside onesies. She also likes to wear footed sleepers and sleepsacks.

At first, Pomni felt worried whenever she was passed down to Kinger or Zooble and Ragatha needed to take a break. However, the little jester was comforted when her CG said that she didn’t do anything to make her upset, and that even grown-ups need twenty minutes to themselves /ref (Bluey’s “Sheepdog”).

Pomni likes to have playdates with Gangle.

Ragatha is authoritative. She believes in empathizing with big feelings while setting fair boundaries. She also reasonably explains to whoever she’s caring for why they need to do something (e.g., “Brush your teeth so they can be healthy” or “Take a nap so you can have more energy for the rest of the day”).

She crouches down to a little’s level and uses the most gentle voice on the planet when talking to them, especially when they’re feeling sad or afraid. Her voice is more firm when it comes to discipline (timeouts and privilege removal). She also believes in natural consequences (e.g., Shoes get wet when stepping in rainy puddles if you don’t wear rain boots or have to help clean up the mess if you track mud on the floor or draw on the walls).

Ragatha gives the best hugs (if the regressor she is looking after wants them, of course).

She always comes prepared with a diaper bag for each regressor she looks after (Pomni - light blue and yellow, Gangle - red, Jax - purple, Zooble - pink and turquoise).

She is a really good sewer. She sews up anything that has holes or rips on them, from stuffies to blankies to clothes.

Ragatha made Pomni’s bedside crib incredibly cozy, filled to the brim with fluffy fleece blankets, cool (temperature-wise) pillows, and some Jellycats and Slumberkins. There is also a soft nightlight attached to the crib rails.

Regressor

Regressed age range: 3-9

Ragatha doesn’t regress too much because she sees herself more as a mother figure to everyone around her. However, she doesn’t see it as a bad thing. She just wants everyone around her to be taken care of and loved.

When Ragatha does regress, however, she is a total sweetheart. She likes helping people out. She is also a big sister to Pomni. She does, however, find it hard to stand up for herself and use her big girl voice (think Bingo in Bluey’s “Yoga Ball” and “Hairdressers/Nits”).

She also struggles with learning how to relax whenever she needs a break (like Chilli in Bluey’s “Relax”).

Kinger is her caregiver, and Zooble is her babysitter.

Ragatha likes to collect dolls and stuffies. She also loves Littlest Pet Shop. She is very careful and keeps her toys in good condition.

Ragatha is a good sharer. She’ll share her toys as long as her friends play with them in a gentle manner.

She LOVES Jellycats and Slumberkins! One of her favorite shows is the latter.

Her favorite shows are also Blue’s Clues, Kipper, Bear and the Big Blue House, Sesame Street, Lalaloopsy, Rupert, Wild Manes, My Little Pony, and Bluey.

She also loves horses! She has a bunch of horse-themed regression gear and horse toys (Credit to @raspberry-bakery for the headcanon on Ragatha having a horse plushie).

She loves tea and angel milk.

She loves anything pastel-colored, from pastel furniture to pastel toys.

Ragatha has a knack for arts and crafts. She loves doing collage/mixed media art.

Oh? What's this? Seems to be an AU crossover with The Monster Labs, by @etanow!

Now, sometimes I like to pretend that this AU is a playable game.

And what does a playable game have? LORE Limited time SKINS!

Endowed with the powers of a minor god, Caine's already outrageous ideas seems to stretch far, far, FAR beyond the horizon now.

It also seems that the Puppetmaster's become a little bit more of a cuckoo than his usual self; cackling like a mad scientist about to bring about either the next revolutionary discovery, or a massive city-wide explosion.

... Why is he giving Pomni so many flowers??

Tsk, tsk, tsk Pomni. You would think that the pain from battles would make one learn, but nope. Not this Harlequin.

Especially when it seems like she's speedrunning flipping the bird off of Death's face as many times as possible to show 'em who's boss. Now she's UNdead!

Good thing she doesn't eat robot brains too. I-I hope...

She's electric! Literally!

Ragatha's gotten quite the new look, and some new tricks at that too. The Artifact Collector herself seems to be more open to going outside all of a sudden; when she tended to be a recluse prior to the change.

Wonder if she's also more open to hugs that don't shock you?

A one of a kind special boss skin! Only available under specific circumstances. His attacks don't change nor add something new, it's just a cosmetic skin for The Mischievous Trickster Automaton fight. lmao

Messy design sketch dump for an AU that's been bouncing around my head for a couple of days now. Everything is basically the same except instead of adventures, they do actual circus performances, but it's every month, not every day. Though they do have practice time every day, which Caine supervises. He also assigns each member what their act is going to be, but everyone has their specialties tho  More below xP

Each player's specialties are: 

Ragatha: Trapeze Pomni: Jester (duh) Jax: Stilt Walker Gangle: Contortionist (or ribbon dancer? idk if thats a circus act-) Kinger Magician  Zooble: Plate Spinner Cain: Ringmaster/Lion tamer (he likes to perform too)

Most of them know more than their specialties cuz Caine likes to pair or group them up sometime. Like somtimes Ragatha or Jax pair up with kinger ( Jax mostly helps with his escape tricks) Rag's is also a bit of a jack of all trades cuz she likes helping out, but also cuz Cain likes to throw in twists in their acts mid-performance.

When Pomni first shows up in the middle of the final performance, which was Ragatha's, so she spawns high up on a tightrope. Ragatha (and everyone else) spots her while she does all these arial flips. In her panic, Pomni slips, but Rag's catches her and tries to calm her down mid-performance while also trying to make sure the two of them don't fall lol

Could you please do a scenario where Jax pulls a prank on the reader and locks them in a closet, but he has no idea that they have claustrophobia? They end up being found by someone else later, and Jax ends up feeling really bad about it?

wasn't sure what to name this since "jax traps you in a closet and feels bad" doesn't roll off the tongue that well LMAO i hope you enjoy this! imma admit, usually when it comes to writing for new characters i read up on others interpretations of them to get a decent handle of them + the canon stuff but i think im gonna wing it this time

It's not often that Jax genuinely apologizes to someone for something he did. often time he will give a huff and a half hearted sorry, or try to play the entire thing off... but there was something different about the current situation at hand

You see, Jax thought it would be funny to get you stuck in a closet, for one reason or another to push some joke he had in mind. What he did not have in mind, however, was the possibility that you were afraid of tight spaces.

Afraid you were, even more so because the closet was dark as well.

Jax was already long gone, claiming that he was going to run off to do something before departing. You asked him to let you out, thinking that he had simply pretended to leave.

But he truly had.

Discomfort turns into fear. Unsure calls for help turn into yells, which turn into you attempting to punch and kick the door open. Your eyes burned with hot tears.

You couldn't have been in there for more than ten minutes before Gangle opened the door, nearly catching your fist to her mask. It likely would have broken and revealed her tears, had her comedy mask not already been broken. She only squeaks in surprise, too stunned to move out of the way but thankfully you were able to reel yourself back in at the last second.

You muttered a quick apology before pulling yourself from the tight space, trying to steady the wobble in your steps. You and Gangle did not exchange any words, with you making your way to your room.

Word gets out. Gangle tells Kinger what happened. Kinger tells Pomni. Pomni tells Ragatha. Zooble finds out, but they don't care enough to gossip around. Before long Ragatha is telling Jax about it, with her own hunch that the rabbit was the one to blame.

Could you blame her? Jax has a bit of a track record...

Point is, Jax eventually finds out how scared you were through the grapevine and for once he actually feels bad about something. Annoying and spooking someone is one thing, but to instill genuine terror was another thing.

He wants to apologize, but it's such a foreign thing that he keeps putting it off. Days pass, with you now avoiding him, which only make him feel worse.

After another day of you only giving him dry responses he ends up cornering you, finally having enough of the guilt eating him up

Apparently not learning his lesson the first time but I digress

"Look," He said, square pupils fixed on you.

A sigh

"I'm sorry, okay? I didn't think you'd flip,"

Not perfect, but it's a start.

"If I knew I wouldn't have, I swear," he added when he was met with silence. From seemingly out of no where, he pulls something out

An object you like, be it a flower a book or something else that he found lying around the circus

You took it, observing, then looked back up at him. He did look remorseful, even if he didn't really say it.

That would have to do, that's the best you're going to get from him. Baby steps

From that day forward, you notice that Jax lightens up around you, pranking you less and generally being a little less annoying when it comes to you

HI! My headcanons have changed a bit so here’s all of them currently!

I’ll go from left to right!

🎪Pomni: Regressor! Normally in the 2-5 age range, super sweet and normally nonverbal or babbles. She loves to watch cartoons or play with sensory items like rattles or crinkly plushies. She loves to help out the CGs with chores and cooking, but usually they give her the easy tasks like putting veggies in the pot or picking up the toys around the circus so she doesn’t get hurt.

🎀Ragatha: Caregiver! She is normally Pomni’s CG but will assist with other littles if need be! She’s a fun mama but stern with rules. She usually it the one to make sure when someone regresses that they’re fed, drink water, bathe, brush their teeth and get to bed at bedtime. While they don’t need to do any of this in the Digital Circus it helps calm distressed kiddos with a familiar routine.

🎳Jax: Regressor/Big Brother! He goes anywhere from 4-10 and is super bratty, but he will help out with the smaller kiddos if he feels like it. (He’s also a sleep regressor and usually is 2-5 when he’s tired, that’s when he becomes a little angel) He says he won’t help any of the CGs with fussy Kiddos when he’s big but sometimes for no reason the kiddos will suddenly have a lollipop or a refilled bottle of juice when no one is looking 🤫

🎉Zooble: Babysitter! They will bounce around littles depending on who needs the most attention and care, usually ends up with her either wrestling something dangerous out of Jax’s hands or comforting one of the kids when they’re sad. They’re very good at that. Zooble likes to set up and play games with the kids and give out small rewards when they win and is very much the “cool older sister” to them.

♟️Kinger: Flip (CG leaning/trauma regressor)! Anywhere from 0-4, he mostly spends his time in his pillow fort when small and spends a lot of time either crying or learning about and drawing bugs!. He needs a lot of attention when small and has abandonment issues ( Queenie used to be his caregiver :[ ) When he’s big though he’s Gangles main caregiver! He is a very kooky CG and always knows how to make Gangle giggle.

🎭Gangle: Flip (Reg leaning)! She usually is 2-6 years old and is a huge crybaby, but not in a bad way. Shes definitely super shy and would prefer to play with her stuffies rather than the other regressors. When she’s big she usually bounces around all the Regressors and takes care of them when they’re not feeling well. She has a kind of delicate touch that none of the other CGs have and is the best at lulling the kiddos to sleep with a bottle, soft lullaby, and lots of pets.

Lots of word jargon but I love all of them so much, thanks for letting me talk about them 💕🌈

It’d be really fucking funny if Pomni was supposed to be the final boss of the game but nobody ever finished her code, like didn’t flip the final switch that would’ve caused the boss battle to activate when all the other characters have been beaten, and so when Caine is going through her code tryna fix stuff he just finds out and just slowly closes the code and pretends to not have seen it. Just mumbles something about her having a weirdly high amount of health points and just chooses not to perceive.
