Elisabeth of Austria wore Creed Fantasia De Fleurs. Obviously we don't know what Anne Boleyn smelled like (AN ANGEL!), but there is some evidence that she had a fondness for rose-water and even had several bottles of it in her inventory. Marie Antoinette was mad for perfume (there are entire books about this), and you can still buy her custom blend of Parfum du Trianon by her very own personal perfumer, Jean-Louis Fargeon. She even packed it for Varennes! (Louis waiting for her to get ready like 😒.) Her beloved Le Jardin Secret has been repackaged as Black Jade by Lubin, and you can buy it here. Marie-Thérèse also wore Lubin. Napoleon had François Rancé create Joséphine for Guess Who. To absolutely no one's surprise, it's like an explosion of rose petals. Victoria was a big fan of Fleurs de Bulgarie by Creed.

Madame du Barry‘s favourite scent was Aqua Mirabilis by Giovanni Maria Farina. Creed's Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie was created (shockingly enough) for my beloved Empress Eugenie. STARLET SCENTS:

Givenchy created L'Interdit for Audrey in 1957, but she also wore Creed Spring Flower later on - another perfume made just for her! Carole Lombard wore Casma by Caswell-Massey during her flapper era.

Pattie Boyd recorded in her Letter from London for 16 Magazine that she wore Jicky by Guerlain during her dolly bird days. (Also a favorite of Sharon Tate!) LITERARY LADIES: Zelda Fitzgerald wore Salud by Schiaparelli, describing it as "violets and lilies and pink beauty." And just for fun: the fictional Linda Radlett wears Après L'Ondée by Guerlain, and knowing Nancy Mitford, I'm pretty certain this means she wore it herself. 💐🩷

The sun was shining brightly on the division of Okinawa. It was decently warm for being in the middle of December, and Evelyn Rose was enjoying her birthday off inside the Eagle’s Nest. The bar was surprisingly slow at the moment, with Evelyn chatting with Rashaad. Suddenly, a delivery man entered.

“Package for Evelyn Rose?” He asked, looking around the bar.

“Here!” Evelyn cheered, raising her hand at the man realizing that this was probably another gift for her.

“Here you go, Miss.” The delivery man handed Evelyn the package and gave a quick bow before leaving the establishment.

Evelyn, noticing that the package had the word “Fragile” on it, was extremely curious as to who sent her this package and, unable to control her excitement, began to carefully open the package.

Inside the package was a clear bottle of eau de parfum with a green top, and immediately, Evelyn was hit by a lovely floral scent. Gently picking it up, Evelyn admired the design on the bottle, and seeing a note in the package, Evelyn picked it up as well and began to read.

“Happy Birthday, Evelyn. I do hope you enjoy the bottle of perfume I sent you. It’s called Creed Fleurissimo, and it’s the same perfume actress Grace Kelly wore at her wedding to the Prince of Monaco. I figured it would be right up your alley. Now enjoy the rest of your day.”

"Ohhh!" Evelyn wooed, looking at the bottle. She didn't know exactly who Grace Kelly was, but whoever she was, she had very good taste in perfumes. Turning the bottle towards her, she gave a quick spray onto her neck, liking sweet, flowery essence stick to her body. She had to admit, she really loved the smell of it.

"It smells lovely, Miss Rose." Rashaad stated, a smile on his face. It did really smell nice. Though Rashaad wasn't a florist by any means, he did enjoy sweet scents like this, so long as it wasn't overpowering or used in excess.

"Thanks Rashaad!" Evelyn shouted, smiling at him before turning to the bottle. "I definitely have to use this for, like, my next date with Acey."

The bartender looked as the model ran upstairs with the bottle, no doubt to place it with the rest of the bottles in the vanity in the bathroom she shared with her boyfriend. He gave a small chuckle and resumed his usual activity of wiping down his bar counter.

But according to biographer Gina McKinnon, the truth is that Kelly preferred to primp herself, especially (and almost unbelievably) after she became Princess of Monaco. She always kept a brush and powder in her bag for touch-ups.

Long before it became today's overplayed trend, Kelly took a more subtle approach to sculpt her cheekbones, using two different shades of blush. To give your cheeks a similar look, place a darker, cooler tone under your cheekbones and a brighter pink colour on the apples of your cheeks. Creed's Fleurissimo ($360) was a perfume custom-made for Kelly on her wedding day to complement her bridal bouquet—a gift from her husband, Prince Rainier. Talk about a signature scent. With notes of bergamot, rose, and violet, the fragrance channelled a "fairytale romance," subtle, yet elegant and glamorous. Plus, it's still available today if you want to try it for yourself.

Kelly was religious about keeping her hands moisturized, says beauty expert Peter Lamas, who often worked with Kelly (along with countless other icons). "When I asked her why, she replied, 'A woman's age shows on her hand much quicker than anywhere else,'" he reveals. Another thing we recommend? Don't forget to put sunscreen on your hands, too. It'll even further prevent sun damage and signs of ageing on your hands.

"She looked after herself," says McKinnon. "She drank lots of water, she didn't smoke, she swam a lot, and when she was younger she did ballet." She also enjoyed yoga and brought snacks of carrot sticks, celery, and dried apricots to movie sets to tide herself over between meals. Since she was a dancer, her posture was important to her, too. She always stood tall with her shoulders back, elongating her body.

While Kelly was known for her natural beauty, she was also aware of her angles. According to biographer Wendy Leigh, Grace was self-conscious about certain parts of her body, like her jaw. To make it look smaller or less square, she would turn her face to show more of her cheek or hide it entirely behind a collar during photoshoots. She started modelling around 18, so she definitely had practice finding "her good side."

Creed - Fleurissimo: Grace Kelly’s wedding perfume, a special order for her. It shows, as this smells like the freshest bouquet of flowers, with an extra soapy cleanliness. Might get a bigger bottle for my friend’s wedding.

Serge Lutens - Santal Majuscule: Fucking YUM. Sandalwood, cocoa and rose. Dark but not oppressive, very goth without the sugary tendencies a lot of darker scents have. Definitely worth a full bottle.

Creed - Aventus: Blergh. Don’t believe the hype. Smells like Axe with flowers and a dead raccoon inside.

He knew it very well, a powdery violet scent that had been his mother's signature perfume. Suddenly a wave of emotions engulfed him. She had been dead for years, he shouldn't get this upset about it and Dana had been a great stepmum, but he really did miss his mum. Missed her long golden hair and expressive blue eyes. Yes, she hadn't been there as much as Tim had wished for and she had been a bit strict with appearance being important, but she had been his mum and he had good memories of her too. Mainly from his younger years with trips to the botanic garden and eating ice cream in the sun.
