i wanted to combine the designs of all the soul riders. including the concept arts (and star academy for lisa). im always imagining them as something between the designs of starshine and sso, so i thought i'd do something with it for once
i wrote an essay in the tags so sorry about that lol

#sso#ssoblr#star stable online#its a travesty that they didnt keep more of lisa's old design elements#so i made her a yeehaw punk so to say. switched the brown jacket to a sleeveless one but kept her boots and flanel from the concept arts#anne and linds actually do not have as many changes#for anne i wanted to merge the skirt she has in starshine with the burgundy jacket and her cadual outfit from the design panels#so a dress it is#and linda#i wanted to keep the green hoodie. she REEKS of green why did they get rid of it#alex had some concept arts with the flannel wrapped around her waist so i did just that + her starshine shirt. and she kept her sso shoes#i associate them with a specific color so i also wanted to keep the color pallete close to it#so lisa's red. anne is pink. alex is orange/teal. and linda is green#that's it i think#enjoy#silverart

I do feel like these designs maybe portray the clearest arc out of all of them so far. I like that#some of it came from a bit of necessity which is really fun that mirrors the actual play format thats cool#(necessity being freshman year riz is pretty much a huge block of red flannel lmao. kinda stole figs canon color coding for a bit)#(and he's got the owlbear jacket from taping the games in sophomore year... so I cant give fig the big red blocking until#junior year lmao. coincidentally this forced me to be a bit more dynamic with her concept which is great)#her second pair of shoes very sonic tho. I kinda enjoy that lol#tbh I really love that canon gorgug is like in a pair of chucks 24/7 that is SO funny for a barbarian I hope to keep the energy going#with class swap fig I think a barbarian who wears like collector sneakers is awesome. the foot support is so important to their work#the general idea of a hyperfem girlypop barbarian still ticks for me tbh. idk enough abt the zeitgeist to know if thats passé now or not#but doing Fashion on ur job of bodily tearing ur opponent apart with the least flourish possible is just a hit for me#her knee brace is from like an injury back in her cheer days that she got by overexercising in hope of being good enough that#the team couldn't let her go. the team then used that same injury as a pretext to let her go#I think abt her arc tbh... fig's thing in canon junior year abt the point of her rebelling. nother reason why i prefer treat pouch over pocket is that i have very often, multiple times, put treats in my pockets and *usually* emptied said pocket. but then put my trousers in a hamper. or hang my coat over a chair
and theres a little shrimp in my apartment. a little pointy one. shrewd little bastard who shall remain nameless. who thinks the possibility of a fraction of a crumb of a treat is ample payment for chewing through said pocket (or any pocket to ever have held a piece of kibble) from whichever angle most convenient to her
#once chewed her way thriugh three layers of my favourite flannel shirt because there were crumbs in the pocket seam#one time she went straight up through a canvas jacket. clipped through the seams the lining and the drawstring and everything#she will bite though anything for nothing#the treat pouch has survived because its got a big hole on top and she'll turn the lining out and lick it clean#anything that smells like food is free game#this is another think that none of the other dogs have ever done to me#but fuckin sparty
