flaco don't suck... He's a good character. Loved taking pictures of his dead body and the rest of the legendary gunslingers (minus Black Belle because you don't kill her and she's lowkey just a chill gal💗)

CLEARING UP RN I LIKE HIS CHARACTER!!!! I think he was entertaining, and his design is cool defo. But I meant mostly that I was just underwhelmed seeing his character on my second play through as all I knew from him was online where he was portrayed as a big character that was flirty and passionate, very different from how he actually was. I just didnt like a lot of the fans interpretation of his character so I picked him for who I'd get rid of because the story wouldnt suffar much without him😭🙏

One of my favorite interactions I’ve had in RDR2 is when I completely missed a ladder and fell off the top of Rhodes’ bank. A npc was smoking at the back of the bank where I fell and he started laughing at me. The human instinct to laugh when someone eats shit in front of you has got to be the best part of the game.

Hes a side character apart of the side quest in which you need to track 3 infamous gunslingers to take photos of them in rdr2. He has about 4 lines of dialogue but from what I've seen I think he has a couple more in rdo. I'll link the main angry reblog about him i made so I'm not annoying my followers by dragging his ass😭 more then necessary. But literally hes such a minor character but my issue with him is the fans that take his 2 lines and completely disregard them to treat him like a latin stereotypes he isnt like AT ALL

I'm so sorry updates have been so slow for the past couple months, y'all. Unfortunately, I can't promise that they're gonna be any quicker any time soon. A lot has happened and it's taken a toll on my mental health, and on top of that, I have the holiday season now. Between being busy and drained, I just haven't had as much time or energy to write like I used to. I am still writing, I promise! Slowly but surely, I am cooking for y'all! I'm gonna try to get the next chapter of Love Language out by Thanksgiving (Nov 28th for the non Americans) and after that, I'm gonna try to focus my energy on the next chapter of Dos Lobos. I have half of it written. It's just been sitting in the Google doc for the past couple weeks

Difference in Taste! (Random Drabble)

A/n: Honestly this was one of those random scenarios that pop up in your head and unlike the other ones I had to write this one out, I also included a lot of characters so I put it under the cut

It's one of those rare afternoons where you have the pleasure of passing the time not really doing anything but relishing in the peaceful comfort of your home with your beloved partner.

Not wanting to waste the opportunity of your significant other's already sparse time, you were determined to spend some quality time with them as you thought the day was perfect for a outdoor picnic with bright blue skies and the temperatures being well above the average day, yet the day was still accompanied by a slight breeze with the warm summer air.

As you walked with your arm linked with your partner through the field you both wandered into, your eyes scanned the surrounding for a perfect spot to set up your picnic blanket when your irises catch a nearby oak tree that is providing a nice umbrella of shade.

With the blanket set up nicely in the shade of oak tree, your significant other is already starting to unpack all your belongings and placing them down eagerly on the soft fabric of the blanket, clearly overjoyed to relax with their love one while also enjoying the food the both of you had spent the better part of the morning preparing.

while in their warm embrace you decide to fill the silence with mindless conversation, it's mostly what has captured your attention that day (whether it's mindless banter or enticing gossip you have to tell, your significant other is always listening with a smile with on their face while trying to keep the conversation to the best of their ability) while in the middle of answering your previous thought of what would be the most diabolical smash or pass topic, you think of a another thought that would hopefully shake your partner's thoughts and they finally stumble over their words.

REAL every single latino character is always stereotyped as super romantic and passionate even if in reality they are a massive pathetic dick

When I replayed rdr2 I was expecting Flaco to be this super cool character as he'd been totally described as by the fandom but he has like TWO seconds of dialogue and then that's it. Ain't no way people got a "passionate cool flirty latino" from that without just stereotyping their idea of what they wanna see in Latinos.

I've had people when finding out I'm latina immediately fetishing and reducing my personality to my nationality and brother this shit sucks

As a Latino I feel so uncomfortable by the sexualization of latino characters by the RDR2 fandom, especially Javier.

I could write for days about the sexualization of Javier but really right now I want to talk about the sexualization of Flaco Hernandez, if you’ve ever played the game you know there’s a mission where you have to kill 4 gunslingers. 

One of those is a Mexican man, he was a gunslinger and member of the ‘’Del Lobo gang’’ 

In the main game he is seen once and he doesn’t even get to talk that much, he just tells the player he’ll talk and then tries to kill you. And that’s it.

In Online you can see him a bit more, in your introduction to him he’ll shoot at your feet and generally be unlikeable. And that’s what I want to talk about.

I see Flaco fetishized all the time, he is portrayed as a suave (albeit quirky or akward) Latino man, who says Amor all the time and random spanish words thrown in by people, who think that us Latinos just speak spanglish all the time to people who don’t even speak spanish. And that’s fetishizing, you’re ignoring the real personality of this character, a ruthless, asinine, murderer. And replacing it with a suave Latino daddy. 

And don’t even get me started about how Javier is reduced to just a sex symbol by white women on this fandom….

If you only see Latino men (and women) as sexual beings, you have to get yourself checked.
