I'm happy to announce that the Crystal Chronicles Fan Music Masterlist I've been gently curating has finally been updated with new music, along with fixing and cleaning up dead links!
With this update I've gone and created a new layout to make things way easier to navigate! Simply click on a song to see all of the fanmade music I've found for it! It should work on Mobile too so have fun guys!

Quiet poll victories Mobius, chocobo mystery Dungeons, and theateythem final fantasy curtain call.
Now, as hoped for by @livefromrhythmridge , it's time for the crystal chronicles poll
Crystal defenders are here too, as I think this is the last of the subseries and that next week will start on the main series related games
*tag later when looking up if Tumblr has tags for most of these

My Top 10 Favorite Indie Games of 2022! There were so many cool indie games this year, all of which were very very different, but here's the small sliver that I'd like to shout-out.
You can also view the list here on Backloggd.
Tumblr media
Number 1: Crystal Project
A truly unique RPG. Imagine Final Fantasy 5 with open-world BOTW exploration, 3D platforming, and it's all left to uncover on your own.
A special experience I'll never forget, and now has Randomizer options to do it all again.
Tumblr media
Number 2: Potionomics
A really in-depth potion shopkeeper game with loads of charm and strategy. Brew potions, send out adventure parties, boost relationships with NPCs, and do deckbuilding sales negotiations. The loop is so satisfying, and the art is beautiful.
Tumblr media
Number 3: Orb of Creation
Incremental game, idle game, clicker game, whatever you call it, this is one of the most mechanically interesting of any of the ones I've tried. Advancing through the unlock trees is the primary puzzle itself, using all sorts of systems at your disposal.
Tumblr media
Number 4: Citizen Sleeper
I haven't finished quite yet, but this is a really engaging story about life under oppressive systems, scraping by the best you can, and making alliances with other folks who are desperate. The dice-slotting mechanic is so smart here.
Tumblr media
Number 5: Grapple Dog
A colorful, charming, and beautifully animated platformer. Very satisfying to go through levels, get the collectables, and challenge yourself to bonus levels. If you master it, the sense of momentum is so fluid.
and the rest of the list...
Olli Olli World
Chained Echoes
Neon White
Trombone Champ
A tie between Super Kiwi 64 and Lunistice
My Top 10 Favorite AAA Games of 2022
Splatoon 3
Marvel Snap (small design team, but i'm counting this as AAA)
Pokemon Legends Arceus
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Triangle Strategy
Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Live A Live
Marvel Midnight Suns
Multiversus
Elden Ring
There were lots of other cool games this year, like Chiki's Chase, Tunic, Nobody Saves The World, Poinpy, Tinyfolks, and Kardboard Kings!
Excited for 2023.

Hmmm... I'll tag @tildeathiwillwrite ! And anyone who's reading this, feel free to join!
Life Changes (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles fic Ch. 10)
When Jack said that he would be back for revenge, Gulru should have listened to that threat.
Life Changes (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles fic Ch. 9)
Two years.
I'll Always Be Here (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles fic)
He couldn't move.
Than's Letters (Final Fantasy I fic)
March 10th, Year XX5
Revenge Against the Hero-King (Super Smash Bros/Fire Emblem fic)
Roy breathed in the fresh air as the cool breeze hit his cape and headband, which fluttered behind him.
They Return (Final Fantasy I fic)
Keme sighed, wiping off the sweat from his brow as he walked down the hill back to the Mercenary Fort.
Prey (Original Work)
"Get them! Don't let either of them escape!"
Can't See (Fire Emblem Three Houses fic)
Darkness.
He's All Mine Now (Original Work)
Alder grunted as he was shoved towards the large metal double doors, nearly falling on the ground in the process.
Near Death (Original Work)
Everything was a blur—one moment, Theo and Malik were walking to Malik's car.

Is there a game out there similar to "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My life as a king" that came out for the Wii?
Is there a game out there similar to "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My life as a king" that came out for the Wii? I'm looking for a game where you play as a king or queen. You build your kingdom, send adventurers out to collect resources, make holidays and all that, Then you could run around your city and talk to people. It's been about two decades since I played it, but I'm pretty sure there was a king of monsters that was destined to attack your city. At the end of the game if you gave the people what they wanted and treated them right then all the adventurers would stay behind and fight when he got there and eventually they would win and you would beat the game. But if you were an asshole and did nothing the whole time, then when the King of monsters arrived he would demolish your troops and take your city.I've played the crap out of a few similar games such as Frostpunk, but for this particular instance, I'm looking for something more fantasy and less dystopia.Google search brought me to only 2 threads where I was recommended "Dragon Quest Builders 2" where there is apparently a "Minecraft" style crafting system. Believe it or not I was never a fan of Minecraft. Ni no kuni 2 was another recommendation and I've already played it. It took so long to get to the base building aspect of it that I just got burnt out on the game. It was just another dungeon crawling RPG. The last recommendation that made any sense was a game called Fabledom. A quick steam search of the game seems like it might actually be what i'm looking for. But reviews are coming in and saying "i didn't have any problems with the game but the game was extremely boring and nothing ever happens" and that's got me on edge. I'm looking for a game that's not only got some kind of finality to it. But a bonus would be "hey you beat the final boss. Keep going until you get bored" Submitted June 24, 2024 at 12:17PM by I_dont-get_the-joke https://ift.tt/1huPjmt via /r/gaming

I voted 5/6 but then remembered 9 exists rip
Also if you’re not sticking with the main numbered entries there are some pretty banger single player spin-off games.
If you like the job system in 5 you should check out Final Fantasy Dimensions. It has my favorite iteration of the classic job system in the entire series. It’s pretty good but admittedly the game is kinda awkwardly monetized?
Bravely Default is almost literally just final fantasy just under a different name. It’s also the spiritual successor to another spinoff: Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light, which is a tad rough around the edges, but is still a very charming experience.
There’s Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King for the people that like management sims
Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers plays absolutely nothing like any other game in the series but is absolutely oozing so much style and character that it doesn’t matter
Personally never played the tactics games but I’ve heard they’re really good
Etc etc etc

I took these photos near the launch of FFCC remastered, when everyone on twitter was talking about their love of the game and how excited they were for the re-release. Thanks to @heebiejeebiejade's relentless peer pressure, I got the courage to @ Toshiyuki Itahana on twitter, showed him my collection and told him how much I loved FFCC! He actually replied and I basically died right then. That's right, I've been a ghost this entire time but I digress XD

Update
Well, well, well. It has been a while since I have posted here. Apologies for the hiatus. I will say that I finished that book, A Tale of 7 Elements, and I have purchased many books since then. I am mostly keeping track of my book reading on Goodreads but not always giving reviews or summaries of what I have read. In the past few days, I was inspired to start writing about the books I’m currently reading, so that is why I’m back. Honestly, I doubt that I will get a chance to finish all the books I’ve managed to collect since I mostly read when I feel inspired to.
Here is a list of books I’ve recently purchased in the past 24 months and I hope to read. They are listed in no particular order other than just by grabbing what’s nearest to me. 1. Andrija Puharich, The Sacred Mushroom: Key to the Door of Eternity 2. Matias Flury, Downloads from the Nine 3. R. Gordon Wasson, Soma: Divine Mushroom of Immortality 4. Willy Ley, Another Look at Atlantis 5. Katherine Routledge, The Mystery of Easter Island 6. David Blaine, Mysterious Strangers: A Book of Magic 7. Mark Wilson, Mark Wilson’s Complete Course in Magic 8. Time-Life Books, The Spirit World 9. Richard Erdoes and Alfonso Ortiz, American Indian Myths and Legends 10. Reader’s Digest, Bizarre Phenomena: Quest for the Unknown 11. Time-Life Books, Utopian Visions 12. Time-Life Books, Mystic Places 13. Time-Life Books, The Mystical Year 14. Arthur Lyons and Marcello Truzzi, Ph.D., The Blue Sense: Psychic Detectives and Crime 15. Patricia Mercier, Crystal Skulls & The Enigma of Time: A Spiritual Adventure into the Mayan World of Prophecy and Discovery 16. Tracie Long, Shamanism 17. Jan Budkowski, Runes 18. Bernice Cockram, Sacred Geometry 19. Joylina Goodings, Auras 20. The Supernatural, Visitors From Outer Space 21. Rav Berg, The Power of Kabbalah: 13 Principles to Overcome Challenges and Achieve Fulfillment 22. Dr. Joe Dispenza, Becoming Supernatural: How Common People Are Doing the Uncommon 23. Preservation Press, Psychic Files of the CIA: Selections From the CIA’s Crest Declassification Document System 24. Arthur C. Clarke, Childhood’s End 25. Jonathan Margolis, The Secret Life of Uri Geller: CIA Masterspy? 26. Sylvia Browne, Book of Dreams 27. Sylvia Browne, End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies About the End of the World 28. Jack Sarfatti, Destiny Matrix 29.Stephen King, The Shining 30. Stephen King, Doctor Sleep: A Sequel to the Shining 31. Dean Radin, Ph.D., Real Magic: Ancient Wisdom, Modern Science, and a Guide to the Secret Power of the Universe 32. Dean Radin, Ph.D., Supernormal: Science, Yoga, and the Evidence for Extraordinary Psychic Abilities 33. Richard Lloyd Parry, Ghosts of the Tsunami: Death and Life in Japan’s Disaster Zone 34. Al Koran, Bring Out the Magic in Your Mind 35. Ingo Swann, Penetration: The Question of Extraterrestrial and Human Telepathy 36.  Byron Janis with Maria Cooper Janis, Chopin and Beyond: My Extraordinary Life in Music and the Paranormal 37. Bradley and Bradley, Psychic Phenomena: Revelations and Experiences 38. Colin Wilson, The Occult 39. Andrija Puharich, Beyond Telepathy 40. Three Initiates, The Kybalion 41. Harriet A. Washington, A Terrible Thing to Waste: Environmental Racism and Its Assault on the American Mind 42. Final Fantasy XIV, Chronicles of Light 43. Kazushige Mojima, Traces of Two Pasts 44. Chocobo and the Airship: Final Fantasy Picture Book I’d be lucky to read half of these. There are more books that I’ve purchased but not listed, as well as books that I’ve purchased and finished reading (which are recorded on my Goodreads account.) I hope not to call this an obsession, but I am strongly interested in paranormal and magic topics due to personal experiences but also perhaps an innate or intuitive calling to learn. The thing is that if I’m reading and I’m not learning something profound or “aligned with intuition” then it is hard to continue reading because it is not as important to me at this time. But I accept that if I don’t finish, or if I take a break, it’s okay. I don’t have to tell myself that I lack discipline, it is just that other information is more important at this time. Anyway, wish me luck in finishing these books!
