saw a review saying red white and royal blue is predictable and cliché. yeah it is.. AND? straight films and straight audiences have had cliché films made time and time again and everyone laps that shit up. FOR ONCE we get that and it's suddenly bad storytelling and bad film making? just admit it's double standards and move on.

If you could have worked on any of the Old Hollywood movies, which one? Or specifically a director, actor/actress, designer...?
I would have loved to learn from Walter Plunkett. He’s my favorite of the Old Hollywood costume designers, and brought so much originality and fun to his designs—his Singin’ in the Rain fashion show is a parody of his own designs from the 1920s; his quilt dresses in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers combine character and practical storytelling with musical stylization and iconography. I’m also in awe of John DeCuir’s production design and would kill to be able to draw and style to that degree.
