Castor Oil, Chaulmoogra Oil, and Fenugreek Oil Imports in Austria: Market Outlines!
Tumblr media
Austria, a focal European country with an advanced drug, restorative, and modern area, vigorously depends on importing different rejuvenating ointments and plant-inferred oils. Castor oil, chaulmoogra oil, and fenugreek oil hold specific importance because of their broad applications in drugs, beauty care products, and health items. Understanding these import elements offers significant insight into Austria's more extensive exchange of regular oils and its developing interest in plant-based fixings for the well-being and magnificence of ventures.
Castor Oil Imports in Austria
Castor Oil Imports in Austria from key makers like India and Brazil, as these nations overwhelm worldwide creation. India's piece of the pie is especially critical, as it produces more than 85% of the world's castor oil. Due to unacceptable climatic circumstances, Austria's dependence on imports is driven by the absence of homegrown castor bean development. The interest in castor oil has seen a consistent ascent in Austria, energized by the development of eco-accommodating and bio-based items.
Castor oil, obtained from the seeds of the Ricinus communis plant, is quite possibly of the most broadly involved vegetable oil on the planet, with Austria being no exemption. This flexible oil has various applications in modern, therapeutic, and restorative items. Its extraordinary synthetic structure, basically its high ricinoleic corrosive substance, makes it reasonable for many purposes, including developing greases, coatings, cleansers, and drugs.
The Clarificiation of Chaulmoogra Oil Imports in Austria
The rising worldwide spotlight on supportability likewise influences Chaulmoogra Oil Imports in Austria. Numerous Austrian organizations are searching for economically obtained castor oil, which aligns with the country's more extensive obligation to ecological insurance. Chaulmoogra Oil Importshas prompted a rising interest in castor oil guaranteed by associations like Narayani Naturals. Chaulmoogra oil, extracted from the seeds of the Hydnocarpus species, is less notable than castor oil. However, it plays a massive part in specialty drug applications.
Chaulmoogra oil was generally utilized in the treatment of disease. Although its use, for this reason, has declined, it is as yet pertinent in conventional medication and specific advanced remedial plans. Austria's imports of chaulmoogra oil are generally low, contrasted with additional broadly utilized oils like castor or olive oil. Be that as it may, its interest is consistent, driven typically by the homeopathic and customary medication areas. A few Austrian drug organizations import chaulmoogra oil for its antibacterial and calming properties, frequently used to treat skin conditions like dermatitis, psoriasis, and different dermatological problems.
Administrative Assessments of Fenugreek Oil Imports in Austria
The Fenugreek Oil Imports in Austria routinely consolidates a multi-stage store connection. Makers and providers from these rising nations usually send their items in mass to Austrian transporters and vendors, who then refine and bundle the oil for neighborhood retail shows. Regardless, some fenugreek oil is imported in its bothersome arrangement and further managed inside Austria by adjoining help and medication affiliations.
Austria's outrageous guidelines on disinfection, solid substances, and drug embellishments imply that imported fenugreek oil should satisfy selective assumptions and quality standards. The rising accentuation on validness has similarly pushed Austrian transporters to focus on providers who follow moral and eco-accommodating practices in making fenugreek oil, from seed progress to extraction.
Conclusion
India's customary tradition is rich embroidery woven from innumerable strands of profound, creative, and social practices. A dynamic and living legacy keeps on developing while saving its old insight. In the present quick-impacting world, India's practices offer immortal illustrations about congruity, manageability, and the significance of an all-encompassing way to deal with life. Narayani Naturals addresses an agreeable mix of custom and development, offering people a way to all-encompassing well-being through normal items and manageable practices. When well-being-conscious shoppers look for straightforwardness and moral obtaining, Narayani Naturals stands apart as a brand focused on benefiting both individual well-being and the climate.

Lughnasadh or Lammas is a Gaelic festival marking the beginning of the harvest season. Historically it was widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland & the Isle of Man. Traditionally it is held on 1 August, or about halfway between the summer solstice & autumn equinox. In recent centuries some of the celebrations have shifted to the Sunday nearest this date.
Lughnasadh is mentioned in early Irish literature & has pagan origins. The festival is named after Lugh the god of craftsmanship. It was also founded by the god Lugh as a funeral feast & athletic competition/funeral games in memory of his foster-mother Tailtiu. She was said to have died of exhaustion after clearing the plains of Ireland for agriculture.
• Tailtiu may have been an earth goddess who represented the dying vegetation that fed mankind.
• Another tale says that Lugh founded the festival in memory of his two wives, the sisters Nás & Bói.
In the Middle Ages it involved great gatherings that included ceremonies, athletic contests (most notably the Tailteann Games which were extremely dangerous), horse racing, feasting, matchmaking & trading.
• With the coming of Christianity to the Celtic lands, the old festival of Lughnasadh took on Christian symbolism. Loaves of bread were baked from the first of the harvested grain & placed on the church altar on the first Sunday of August. The Christianized name for the feast of Lughnasadh is Lammas which means “loaf mass”.
Some believe this is the time where the God has weakened & is losing his strength as seen in the waning of the day's light. The Goddess is pregnant with the young God who will be born on Yule.

DREAM GIRL INTRO 2/5 How To Get Started: high maintenance routine (PT 1.)
high maintenance/ADJ/definition: needing a lot of work to keep in good condition
Ladies, one of the best ways to become your dream girl is by establishing and maintaining a high-maintenance routine. When you have a routine and stick to it, you begin to understand your habits and won't settle for less than what you deserve. If you start and end your day with a routine, you build confidence knowing that you are put together mentally and physically.
I have my own routine at the bottom(with details + apps I use) that helps me feel like my best you can take, leave, or add advice to your routine.
Tumblr media
******************************daily********************************
stretch for 5 minutes: as soon as you wake up get the body moving
vitamins: D3, fish oil, fenugreek, pre & probiotics with cranberry, biotin, and prenatal vitamins. (You don't have to be pregnant to take them; they are good for women with many beneficial nutrients.)
Devotional meditation/bible study: Every morning, I pray to connect with Jesus and share my daily concerns with Him. I also read the Bible to deepen my connection with Christ and grow my faith. (I use the Glorify app)
chores: tidy the room, wash dishes, etc. (They change from day to day so you can adjust them to your needs)
Workout: I do a 30 to 55 min workout, I like to go to Chloe Tings workout app because I really feel the burn
quick shower: have a more detailed shower at night
basic skin care: cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF (Again more details later)
oral care: brush teeth, tongue scraping, mouthwash
*******************************NIGHTLY*******************************
pilates: Relaxing before bedtime is essential, and using any app, including YouTube, is a great way to unwind at night.
Detailed shower: dry brush, anti-bacterial soap, shave if needed sugar scrub, then body wash of choice
moisturize: body serum (I use glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and vitamin C, followed up by a thick moisturizer)
skincare: oil cleanser, cleanser, sheet mask, lash & brow serum, eyemask.lip mask
oral care: oil pull brush, tongue scrape, mouthwash, whiting strips
diary& prayer: it's important to write down what is on my mind before I sleep as well as talk to God about it.
✨sleep before 11pm✨
Remember to embrace the beauty of sleep before midnight as it will revitalize you, granting you the gift of radiant, dreamy skin. Approach this as a joyful journey rather than a mere checklist. Let this be your guide to feeling your best and embracing what makes you feel good. Don't forget to hydrate and take a moment to breathe deeply.
part 2 of my routine will be up soon thanks lovelies
-xoxoxo

Hair care tips from all over the web and word of mouth
8 months ago I started to lose almost 50% of my hair due to an illness. I’m pleased to say that my hair’s condition currently is probably the best it has ever been. Hence I am going to share all the haircare tips that I have compiled so far. The ones in pink text are the ones that worked for me personally 🩷
My hair profile : oily flaky scalp, straight, low porosity, smooth, small cross section
Inverted head massage 💆‍♀️ - I do this while shampooing and drying, not sure if it increased growth but definitely results in a voluminous look
Avoid hot water for washing🚿 - this is really important but I can’t get myself to do it in the winter 🥶
Hair oiling 🛢️- been doing it all my life but this time I did some research and discovered that it’s not the oil that helps, but the massaging and the stimulating ingredient infused in the oil. I made a diy fenugreek oil and used it twice a week.
Get blood test 🩸- if you notice sudden hair fall with no apparent reason then it’s a good idea to get tested. Since I had been sick so this happened automatically and I have been taking the supplements I require.
Sun protection ☀️ - you can’t really apply sunscreen on your scalp so it’s best to use hats/umbrellas/scarves
Rosemary 🌱 - I used rosemary water and it helped balance oil on my scalp. The compound in rosemary which aids hair growth is oil soluble so you will have to use rosemary oil (mixed with carrier oil) for that purpose. The water isn’t really for growing hair.
Limit heat styling tools 🔥
Use a wide toothed comb 🪮 - I have fine hair so I would always use fine combs as a kid and rip my healthy hair out. Recently got on hair brushes with widely spaced bristles and combing hair has been much more pleasant. Even working with hair tangled by the wind is easier🌬️
Remember, everyone’s hair is unique, so it’s important to find what works best for you. If you’re facing hair loss then take care of your mental health first and be patient as it can take time to improve 🫶
Some additional tips in this image: ⚠️ the first massage tool should not be used on wet hair as it can lead to more damage. Some people use it while shampooing but that’s when our hair is the most fragile. Use it on dry hair or while oiling.

Note
hi. could you drop your saag recipe.
yes
1 yellow onion
3 cloves garlic
ginger about 1 inch
2 tsp salt
1 Tbs ground cumin
1 Tbs ground coriander
1 tsp turmeric
1 Tbs curry powder OR 1/8 tsp of the following, fenugreek, clove, cinnamon, bay, mustard, cardamom (most curry blends are redundant on the cumin coriander turmeric, but are easier to buy than all the other spices separately)
cayenne and black pepper to taste
1 bunch collard greens
1/2 bag frozen spinach
1-2 cups broth of any kind
1/2 cup coconut cream or 1/2+1/2
cilantro
block of paneer
ghee or oil or butter
sauté your chopped onion, garlic, and ginger in ghee until soft. don’t worry about fine chopping it will all get blended later. then add spices, the measurements here are estimates because i measure it with the cap lol. let the spices bloom in another spoonful of ghee but don’t let them burn, when you see small bubbles add 1 cup of broth (i use chicken, but it can be vegetable) and scrape the bottom of the pot. then add your chopped collards and spinach, and cook for 20-30 min until the collards are completely soft.
then, purée with immersion blender. if you only have a regular blender then you need to let the greens cool off first. if it’s not blending you can add more broth, but it should be as thick as your blender can tolerate, like applesauce not soup. return to the heat to cook off some of the liquid while you cube the paneer and chop cilantro. you want it to be a little thicker than the desired end result because the cream will thin it, when it looks like the consistency of marinara add the paneer and cream and take off the heat- if it’s going to be a while before you serve wait on the cream because if you cook for too long with the cream it will split. garnish with cilantro
i’ve also made this with dandelion or mustard greens, and with firm tofu instead of paneer. not really an authentic recipe but whatever you’ve got works + most important part is 50/50 spinach and bitter greens or it will be bland

same annie as before, i hope you don't mind me asking, but do you have tips on stress dandruff? something that isn't "reduce stress" because i signed up for the stress and will continue in it for another 2 years 😭
bro my dermatologist said "reduce stress" and i was like "bro be for real 😭😭😭"
Some of the things that actually work and help for me:
prescription shampoo (not head and shoulders or whatever. this is like proper medical shampoo). I got mine prescribed from the dermatologist - but now i buy it over the counter. You can google some stuff and see if it works for you. But i'd recommend going to a derm since the shampoo depends on your scalp type etc. You only have to use it once a week and it doesn't get rid of the dandruff - but rather removes the flakes easily. I usually comb them out thoroughly after I have a shower using the shampoo. I use regular shampoo for rest of the week.
Oil your hair once a week - i do this anyway but this helps - especially if you have dry or itchy scalp and live in a country with warm weather. You can usually oil your hair and massage it nicely into your scalp (very important!) and shower in 2-3 hours. I usually leave it on for the whole day. PS - You can simply use coconut oil. But I use herbal oils that have properties that are good for scalps with dandruff. (like neem or tea tree oil)
home remedies - there are a lot of home remedies that work (including the above). I use neem leaves and the fenugreek method. I only have time to do it once a month or so, but if you can do it at least once a week. They are both actually in controlling dandruff. You can find out how to use them here + some other home remedies as well.
Hope this helps, bebe.

Boost Your Testosterone Naturally with These Simple Tips
Tumblr media
Introduction
Testosterone is a crucial hormone in the human body, playing a significant role in various aspects of health, including muscle growth, bone density, mood, and even libido. However, as we age, our testosterone levels tend to decrease, which can lead to a range of issues. The good news is that there are natural ways to boost your testosterone levels. In this article, we will explore some simple strategies to increase your testosterone levels, and we'll also introduce you to a product called Alpha Tonic that may aid in this process.
CLICK HERE TO BOOST YOUR HEALTH NOW
Maintain a Healthy Diet
Tumblr media
A balanced and nutritious diet is a fundamental factor in maintaining healthy testosterone levels. Include a variety of foods rich in essential nutrients like zinc, vitamin D, and healthy fats. Zinc, found in foods such as lean meats, nuts, and seeds, is essential for the production of testosterone. Vitamin D, obtained from sunlight and foods like fatty fish and fortified dairy products, is also crucial for healthy hormone levels. Make sure to consume enough healthy fats, such as those in avocados and olive oil, which support hormone production.
Exercise Regularly
Regular physical activity is another key to increasing testosterone levels. Engage in both resistance training and cardiovascular exercises. Lifting weights can stimulate the release of testosterone, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can also be beneficial. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic exercise each week.
Get Adequate Sleep
Tumblr media
Quality sleep is essential for overall health and maintaining healthy testosterone levels. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night, as it helps your body repair and regenerate. Poor sleep can lead to hormonal imbalances and lower testosterone levels, so prioritize a good night's rest.
Manage Stress
Chronic stress can lead to elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol, which can suppress testosterone production. Practice stress-reduction techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, or yoga to keep cortisol in check and support healthy testosterone levels.
Maintain a Healthy Weight
Being overweight or obese can contribute to lower testosterone levels. Losing excess body fat through a combination of diet and exercise can help increase your testosterone production. It's important to focus on sustainable and gradual weight loss for the best results.
Stay Hydrated
Tumblr media
Drinking enough water is crucial for overall health, and it can also help maintain healthy testosterone levels. Dehydration can lead to an increase in cortisol levels, which can negatively impact your hormones.
Limit Alcohol and Avoid Excessive Drinking
Excessive alcohol consumption can lower testosterone levels. If you choose to consume alcohol, do so in moderation to support healthy hormone balance.
Introducing Alpha Tonic
Tumblr media
In addition to these lifestyle changes, there are natural supplements like Alpha Tonic that can aid in boosting testosterone levels. Alpha Tonic is a dietary supplement formulated with a combination of ingredients known for their testosterone-boosting properties. It includes ingredients like fenugreek, ashwagandha, and tribulus terrestris, which have been used for centuries in traditional medicine to support male health and hormonal balance.
CLICK HERE TO BOOST YOUR HEALTH NOW
Fenugreek, for example, has been shown to increase testosterone levels while also supporting libido and muscle strength. Ashwagandha is known for its adaptogenic properties, which can help your body manage stress and reduce cortisol levels. Tribulus terrestris has long been used to enhance athletic performance and support male reproductive health.
Before incorporating any dietary supplement into your routine, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional to ensure it's safe and appropriate for your individual needs.
Conclusion
Maintaining healthy testosterone levels is essential for overall well-being and quality of life. By making simple lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy diet, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, managing stress, and staying hydrated, you can naturally increase your testosterone production. Additionally, considering a natural supplement like Alpha Tonic may provide added support in your quest for hormonal balance. Remember that achieving and maintaining healthy testosterone levels is a journey, so be patient and persistent in your efforts to boost your testosterone naturally.

Fibromyalgia hair care, hair loss prevention edition:
I’ve struggled with hair loss for years, long before receiving my diagnosis. For a long time I thought it was purely due to anxiety, which is definitely a factor. But anyways, over the years I’ve come up with some strategies for preventing hair loss, as well as encouraging new hair growth which is equally important imo. Both stem from having a healthy scalp. I’ll list my tools and products here, as well as my routine for using them properly. My hair is extremely fine, and has so little texture it slips out of hair ties; this almost has a horseshoe effect though where it goes round the bend and has a lot of the same issues as very textured hair in terms of breakage, tangling, etc. so if you have textured hair, some of these techniques and/or products may work for you, but I can’t say for sure.
Tools:
Wide-tooth comb
Scalp massager
Bonnet/head scarf, and/or hair ties
Microfiber cloth
Products:
Bar shampoo (I use JR Liggets)
Deep conditioner (I use Trader Joe’s coconut hair mask)
The Ordinary - Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density
Aloe vera gel, no fragrances or other unnecessary additives (I use Lily of the Desert)
Hair oil (I’m currently using Virtue - Healing Oil bc I got a free sample of it lol, but any kind will do tbh)
Hair mask (I get mine from the Henna Guys, equal parts of their Fenugreek & Reetha Powder to prevent hair loss, and their Brahmi & Bhringraj Powder for hair growth)
Dry shampoo (I have a powdered one also from the Henna Guys for daily use bc it has no unnecessary additives, but I also use a regular aerosol one like Batiste if I’m going out)
Daily Routine:
Every night before bed, start by gently brushing your hair. If your hair is wet at all, use a wide tooth comb to avoid snagging tangles.
Fill a dropper’s worth of the Ordinary serum - squeeze half into your palm, and the other half directly onto the problem areas of your head (I do the crown.) Make sure not to touch the dropper to your skin or hair though, don’t want to contaminate it! Just hover above.
Using your finger of your other hand, apply the serum directly onto any other problem areas (I do my hairline and temples.) Gently rub in where you dripped onto your scalp as well.
Squeeze some aloe into your palm with the serum, and mix them together with the finger of your other hand. Rub your hands together, and apply the mixture evenly throughout your scalp. You can go back in with more aloe too if you want, your hair should be pretty saturated. It might seem like this will make your hair look greasy in the morning, but it’s actually the opposite, it acts kind of like a natural dry shampoo and prevents your scalp from producing unnecessary oil. (I discovered this by accident when I had a scalp sunburn, so it’s also great to do if you’ve been out in the sun at all lol.)
Put a few drops of hair oil into your palm. Rub your hands together, and smooth it into the length of your hair in downward strokes, but starting at the bottom and reaching closer too your scalp each time. Run any remnants through the hair at your scalp, a little will keep it healthy but a lot will make it greasy here.
Use the scalp massager all over your head, gently; this should feel really nice. Focus on problem scalp areas, as well as pressure points if you get frequent headaches (bonus for helping with that too lol.)
Put on your powdered dry shampoo, while your hair is still “damp” from the aloe. Brush your hair from scalp to tip with the wide tooth comb until you feel like everything is fairly evenly distributed.
Put your hair up in a clippy or something while you go about the rest of your nighttime routine (I do hair care > journaling > night meds > light yoga > teeth > skincare > bed.)
At bedtime, protect your hair with a bonnet or headscarf, should be silk or satin. Bonnets have been a huge thing in the Black community for ages, but really everyone (especially people with delicate hair of any kind) should get into them! They prevent your hair from getting pulled on by the friction that’s naturally created between your head and pillow while you sleep. It also keeps all those products we just applied on your head all night instead of your pillow. You’ll also notice it’s better for your skin; it keeps the hair products and skin products separate so they both stay clean. You’ll notice less hair loss AND fewer breakouts.
If you really don’t want to wear a bonnet or scarf, or if you’re staying over somewhere etc, the next best option is to put your hair in one or two braids. This at least does some work to prevent pulling and keep it off your face.
Weekly Routine:
Before washing, use a hair mask. This is a great chance to let products really soak into your scalp and hair shafts. The ones I use are all natural, traditional ingredients. Your hair will be softer, stronger, and shinier, but not from any residue left behind, just because it’s healthier.
I only wash my hair once a week, maybe twice if I’m going somewhere. The less you can wash your hair, the better. There is a transition period, but your hair really does adjust to not being washed as often. It’s important for scalp health not to be over-washed because it’ll start producing an excess of oil, and then you’ll just have to keep washing it, which keeps creating stress on your hair and pulling more out. A shampoo bar is a really easy and effective way to get the right amount of shampoo right where you need it; just rub it directly on your head and lather up. (The JR Liggets bar also has very limited ingredients, all natural, and as a bonus is sustainable bc no plastic.) Once you work the shampoo through your scalp and down to your ends with your fingers, grab your same scalp massager and use it too. (Be careful not to cause tangles though! Tiny gentle circular movements.)
Since you’re not conditioning your hair as often, you should use a deeper conditioner and leave it on for as long as the packaging says.
When you’re out of the shower, carefully use the wide tooth comb. Avoid products like detanglers, because they leave a residue on your hair and you’ll just end up having to wash it more often again. You shouldn’t need them if you deep conditioned. To dry your hair, gently scrunch it with the microfiber cloth. Don’t rub, we don’t want friction, but the microfiber will be able to absorb a lot of water without damaging your hair. From here, you can air dry it or put it into rollers if you want to add a natural curl/style. Avoid hair dryers and curling/straightening irons as much as possible; unfortunately heat is one of the worst things for hair and scalp health.
Other Notes:
When you’re outside, especially in summer, wear a hat as much as you can! Fibromyalgia and other chronic conditions can make you extremely sensitive to sun exposure, and hair isn’t enough to stop the UV rays. Your scalp with be a lot healthier if you protect it from the sun as often as you can. You can also use a parasol etc.
Try to avoid adding other styling products, because again you’ll just end up having to wash more often. But the aloe can be used as a natural gel, and the dry shampoo can be used as a volumizer.
Limit additives in your products as much as you can; all the specific ones I’ve listed here are a good start. The fewer ingredients, the fewer chances there are that you’ll have a bad reaction which could lead to a flare up.
Once again, I can only say for certain that these tips work on my specific hair type (fine, delicate, no texture,) and since every person is different some amount of trial and error will be involved to figure out what works best for you. But never give up, you deserve to put energy into having healthy and beautiful hair. I wish someone had told me any of this instead of spending years trying to figure it out alone, so I hope maybe someone can read this and save themselves some trouble lol. Remember, patience and consistency are key. It does take time and energy, but if you can spare a little for yourself each day or as often as possible, it’ll save you effort in the long run. Having a routine in general is very beneficial to your mental health, which makes you less stressed/anxious, which is already helping your hair too <3

Herbs for Health - The Herbal Remedies Hidden in Your Spice Cabinet
Most people don't realize the incredible therapeutic (healing) qualities of herbs. That's a shame because their therapeutic benefits can enhance our lives and benefit our health fairly dramatically. This lack of knowledge and understanding makes herbs an underutilized -- and under-appreciated -- resource that most of us have literally at our finger tips, hiding in our spice cabinets.
The fact is, many if not most of our culinary herbs also have medicinal qualities. Here are just a few you may want to explore.
¿Want to find more about this information? ¡Click here to get our book!
Savory seed herbs such as anise, cumin, fennel, fenugreek and caraway are known as "carminatives," which means they help normalize the digestive system and peristalsis to prevent, eliminate or relieve gas. These particular herbs are also anti-spasmodic, which means they help muscles that are spasm-ing, or cramping to relax. So, if someone is suffering from a stomach virus, for example, brewing up an herbal tea of several of these seed herbs, and a touch of honey, would help stop the stomach spasms as well as cut down on any gas. (Note: While other anti-spasmodic herbs are usually used instead, those same antispasmodic culinary herbs could be used for muscle spasms elsewhere, say from PMS, or leg cramps.)
Other herbs such as peppermint, licorice, cinnamon, ginger or thyme could be added to the brew both for the their own carminative effects, as well as to enhance the flavor. (And don't forget that honey!)
Peppermint, in fact, is a wonderful alternative to popular antacids. Anytime you find yourself lamenting, "Oh, I ate too much," or feel bloated and uncomfortable as a result of what you've eaten, peppermint can calm all that down in 20-30 minutes. Some people keep a bottle of therapeutic-grade peppermint essential oil on hand and just dot a drop or two on their abdomens when needed. Or they keep peppermint tea from the grocery on hand -- Celestial Seasonings is a popular brand -- and brew up some herbal tea, or an "infusion" in herbspeak. (If you use antacids daily, this is not your best choice, although there are herbs and dietary changes that can help.)
Ginger is excellent to have on hand for another reason. In addition to its carminative effects, it's useful for nausea, whether from morning sickness, motion sickness, stomach flu, etc. It's available in so many forms you can have it with you anywhere -- dried (in spice jars in your grocery), fresh root (in some markets), fresh finely chopped ginger in jars (refrigerated section of your market), crystallized or candied ginger (usually available around Christmas in most groceries, but any time of the year from spice merchants and others online), and even ginger ale (canned as a beverage), though it's important in the latter case to make sure real ginger is being used, not ginger flavor. So it's possible to have ginger both at home and when you travel.

hiiiii im shmwednesdsy night shmashed. anyway how do you remain existentially optimistic in the face of . It All
Omg loooooove that for you, bask in the youth of it all and lmk your cocktail of choice.
I think to maintain optimism you MUST become a casual hedonist. Like yes open a retirement account, make smart long term decisions, etc etc etc. but if you lean into and mindfully luxuriate within every pleasure that falls in your path, and make an active effort to seek/create pleasure you can learn that actually at this unique juncture in history we are incredibly equipped for euphoric and ecstatic sensory experiences upon demand. I have an entire world’s selection of spectacular foods: chocolates! Spices! Wine! Olive oil! Peppercorns! Citrus and tomatoes! It’s kind of a mind blowing expanse of riches. And the music, christ…stream some music and really listen…you don’t need 36 members of a live jazz band, because there’s a recording from 1954. Films, whenever you want them. And literature, straight to your library or your phone…unreal. Absolutely unreal. Think of the first printing presses, or the days when to have a manuscript someone needed to copy out each letter by hand with a pen nib and some reed fibers. Not to mention the millions of people who never even conceived of the written word. Or a citrus fruit, or a pinch of fenugreek, or a short documentary about those monkeys somewhere in Asia who visit hot springs every evening in winter…the location escapes me. But though the lack of knowledge of alien life within my lifespan plagues me, im regularly awed by the scope and breadth of knowledge and experience I have lucked into by winning the temporal lottery basically.
I focus a lot on that kind of thing whenever the unique stressors of modern life are wearing at me. It helps ease the pain of the job grind, or a long drive I don’t want to be doing…it helps so much to just live for pleasure I promise
But also it’s important to note that I’m not a universal optimist!!! I have an INCREDIBLY bleak outlook re: globalized society at large, and more specifically due to proximity, American life; it fucking KILLS me. I feel close to melting down sometimes in the grocery store when I snap out of the rut of habit and heuristics and I perceive the horrific quantities of plastics and styrofoam leaching into our food and bodies and children and watersheds. And I beat myself up constantly over my failures to find sustained romantic and sexual connections. And I’m also a survivor of an incredibly serious eating disorder, without the money to seek the ongoing maintenance treatment I need, which affects my ability to function normally every single day, not to mention gender and body issues, and struggling to come to terms with the resultant arthritis/dental issues etc. I think maybe my persona on here is altered by the times when I feel so overwhelmed with enthusiasm and zest for life that it can appear im better adjusted than I am? Im very messy and I’m still learning to be a living adult every single day. But the TLDR is that if you slowly build up the mindset of focusing on life’s incredible pleasures (food, friendship, gardening, sunlight, hygge or whatever, literature, film and the unique solidarity and emotional catharsis it brings, music!!, shared moments of humanity, small or large scale travel, FREE KNOWLEDGE about every topic online, art via viewing or creation…etc etc etc) I’ve found it can buoy you through the tough parts.
PS also…seek magic mushrooms and take twice the dose you think you want

Effective Ayurvedic Treatment for PCOD: A Natural Path to Wellness
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOD), also known as Polycystic Ovary Disorder, is a common hormonal imbalance affecting women of reproductive age. It can lead to a variety of symptoms like irregular periods, excessive hair growth, acne, weight gain, and fertility issues. While conventional treatments often focus on managing symptoms, Ayurveda offers a holistic approach that addresses the root causes of PCOD, promoting overall wellness and long-term health.
In this blog, we’ll explore how Ayurvedic treatments can help manage and even reverse the effects of PCOD, focusing on natural remedies and lifestyle changes that restore balance to your body.
Understanding PCOD in Ayurveda
In Ayurveda, PCOD is considered a result of an imbalance in the body's doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. The hormonal imbalances associated with PCOD are often linked to an excess of Kapha dosha, which is responsible for fluid retention, weight gain, and sluggish metabolism. Additionally, an imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas can disrupt the menstrual cycle and contribute to symptoms like acne and hair loss.
Ayurvedic medicine emphasizes treating the root cause rather than merely addressing symptoms. This approach uses a combination of herbal remedies, dietary changes, lifestyle modifications, and stress management techniques to restore harmony and improve overall health.
Key Ayurvedic Treatment for PCOD
Herbal Remedies
Several herbs are considered beneficial for managing PCOD, as they help balance hormones, regulate periods, and reduce inflammation. Some of the most effective herbs include:
Shatavari: Known as a powerful herb for female reproductive health, Shatavari helps balance hormones, regulate the menstrual cycle, and improve fertility. It is especially beneficial for women suffering from irregular periods.
Ashoka: This herb is used to regulate the menstrual cycle and ease symptoms like abdominal cramps and bloating. It is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce ovarian cysts.
Turmeric: With its potent anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric helps balance hormones and reduces the inflammation associated with PCOD. It also promotes overall health and supports the liver, which is essential for hormone regulation.
Fenugreek: Fenugreek seeds have been found to help regulate insulin levels and support hormonal balance, making it beneficial for women with insulin resistance, a common feature of PCOD.
Triphala: This herbal blend is known to detoxify the body and support digestion. It can help improve bowel movement and reduce weight, which is important in managing PCOD.
Dietary Changes
Ayurveda places great emphasis on the role of food in maintaining health and balancing doshas. For women with PCOD, an Ayurvedic diet can help regulate hormones, reduce inflammation, and support weight management. Key dietary tips include:
Favor Whole Foods: Focus on fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes. These foods are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals that support hormonal health and digestive function.
Incorporate Healthy Fats: Healthy fats like ghee, coconut oil, and avocados are crucial for hormonal balance and reducing inflammation. They help maintain proper hormonal production and can even support weight loss.
Avoid Processed Foods: Minimize the intake of refined sugars, processed foods, and artificial additives. These can worsen insulin resistance and contribute to weight gain, which is a common issue for those with PCOD.
Warm, Cooked Foods: Ayurveda recommends eating warm, cooked foods over raw foods, especially during the colder months, to support digestion and balance the doshas.
Lifestyle Modifications
In Ayurveda, lifestyle changes are just as important as herbal remedies and diet in restoring balance. For women with PCOD, adopting a few simple lifestyle practices can make a significant difference:
Stress Management: Chronic stress can exacerbate PCOD symptoms by increasing cortisol levels, which disrupt hormone balance. Practices like yoga, meditation, and pranayama (breathing exercises) can help manage stress and promote overall well-being.
Regular Exercise: Engaging in regular physical activity, such as walking, yoga, or swimming, can help regulate hormones, improve insulin sensitivity, and promote weight loss, all of which are important for managing PCOD.
Adequate Sleep: Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of restful sleep in maintaining balance and overall health. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night to support hormone regulation and reduce the impact of PCOD symptoms.
Detoxification and Cleansing
Ayurveda recommends periodic detoxification to remove toxins (Ama) from the body. This process supports hormone regulation and promotes overall wellness. A simple Ayurvedic detox may include:
Herbal Detox Teas: Drinking herbal teas made with ingredients like ginger, cumin, coriander, and fennel can help detoxify the liver and improve digestion, both of which are crucial for managing PCOD.
Oil Massage (Abhyanga): Abhyanga, a traditional Ayurvedic oil massage, helps improve circulation, reduce stress, and support the detoxification process.
Panchakarma Therapy
Panchakarma is a traditional Ayurvedic detoxification treatment that includes a series of therapeutic techniques such as herbal oil massages, steam therapies, and enemas. It helps remove toxins, balance doshas, and promote healing in women with PCOD.
Final Thoughts
Ayurvedic treatment for PCOD and holistic approach to managing PCOD. By focusing on balancing the doshas, improving digestion, managing stress, and incorporating herbal remedies, Ayurveda can help restore hormonal health and alleviate many of the discomforting symptoms associated with PCOD.
However, it’s important to remember that Ayurveda is most effective when combined with a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, and proper medical guidance. Before starting any Ayurvedic treatments, it’s advisable to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner who can tailor the treatment to your specific needs.
By embracing Ayurveda’s natural path to wellness, women with PCOD can experience better health, hormonal balance, and a more fulfilling life.
