Something about Nezha saving Rin during the attack on Sinegard and then saving her again in the grotto, both times when she was certain he hated her and was willing to let her die. Him refusing to kill her when they were on opposite sides of a war, despite having numerous opportunities to, facing pressure from most of the country to, and being the only person with the capability to. But in the end Nezha being forced to hold the knife that she kills herself with, because the only force he couldn’t save her from was herself.

dont mind me, im just thinking about how even after all the shit she saw in golyn niis, rin still had some hope that she would be able to deal with it and move on bc altan had done so after speer, and she went looking for him, bc if he could just tell her that she would be okay then she would keep trying, but then she found him getting high bc he in fact had not been able to deal with it, and thats when she finally lost all hope, finding out that altan was an addict was the thing that finally destroyed her heart, bc he was the strongest person she knew, he was her hero and commander, even after he was an asshole to her she still admired and respected his strength,and if the guy she looked up to had lost hope, had never been who she thought he was, than what chances did she have?

the drowning faith isn't a justification of nezha's betrayal at all 😭 it was written to show that while he loves rin so much, he is a creature of duty first, and rin on the other stump hand is a creature of rage AND just like fire and water, they will never see eye to eye

i don't believe rebecca wrote nezha's POV to redeem him; it actually only solidifies the fact that history really moved in such vicious circles, and that the love that they mutually feel for each other isn't romance but a tragedy. just like the red emperor and tearza; jiang ziya and hanelai.

"how can he say he loves her if he leaves her to be dissected by white people-" because the trilogy isn't about love! they both will destroy each other! it is already written! that's the point!

aLoF | Lone Wolf Squad (OCs)

I'm so excited to finally introduce the Lone Wolf Squad (aka Lone Wolves) to you! The squad is commanded by my Jedi OC Lupe, and you can read about them in my TCW/TBB longfic A Lupe Of Faith. They just made their first appearance in chapter 4: Pick Of The Pack.
