The end of Crooked Kingdom will forever break my heart. They all were supposed to make it. They were found family, dammit. They weren't supposed to go separate ways. (But also yes, they were supposed to, to live their own lives. But as an avid found family trope lover and inhaler, this shit hurt lol)

The real reason for six of crows success is FOUND FAMILY.

Watching these characters that have no one and lost so much just bond and banter with each other and actually grow to care for one another is the real reason why everyone loves six of crows

I imagine the Crows carving pumpkins for Halloween. Wylan would work very hard at a slow pace to achieve the masterpiece, while Jesper would choose the shooting method instead of carving. It's faster, you know? Nina would make Matthias do hers. He would argue that the Fjerdans don't celebrate Halloween, but he would do it anyway. Kaz would stab two knives into the top of the pumpkin and call it a day. Inej would definitely get out of control, buy all the pumpkins she could get her hands on, skillfully carve them all in a few minutes (probably some variation on the moon and crows scenes) and then decorate the entire Slat with them, including the roof.

Six of Crows AU where there's some sort of International Farmers Association that has big meets every now and then where farmers come from all over and Jesper's father has met Kaz's parents there before so when Colm (Jesper's father) meets Kaz he recognizes him almost immediately

"Do I know you?" Colm asks, "That is, have we met before?" And then, before Kaz or anyone else even has the chance to respond: "The Rietvelds! You're the Rietvelds' boy, aren't you? Now, which one are you, then? Jordie or Kaz?"

Someone, inevitably: "Kaz is a farmboy?!"

Nina has the best ideas for Christmas presents. She always knows what to buy for whom and often overdoes it with the quantity. She loves Christmas and according to Matthias, she starts decorating too early. While he would prefer to have a very simple decoration, Nina even hangs mistletoe above the toilet.

Matthias never knows what to buy, except for gifts for Nina, he never makes a mistake with that.

Wylan loves to make handmade gifts for everyone.

Jesper forgets to buy presents and rushes shopping the day before Christmas, ending up buying the first things he can find, like pink socks for Kaz (but that was intentional).

Inej buys simple and not very expensive presents, but thinks a lot about what would make her friends happy.

Kaz claims he won't buy anyone any presents, but of course he buys something very expensive and inappropriate for Inej (like a house). The rest of the friends doesn't get any presents from him, but they experience strange miracles before Christmas, like someone who bullied Wylan disappearing without a trace, Nina never running out of toffees and cookies, and many other similar "unexplainable" things.
