Little Wolves is crowdfunding NOW!
It's finally here, y'all! The crowdfunding campaign for our tabletop RPG of folk tales, fae queens, and werewolves is live on Backerkit~
Support our work here!
Tumblr media
From the award-winning publisher behind Motel Spooky-Nine, You’re In Space And Everything’s Fucked, Dinocar and more, Little Wolves is a tabletop role-playing game about adventuring through a realm of folk & fae as shapeshifting werewolves.
In Little Wolves, you’ll craft real-world paper masks that represent their characters, modifying them over the course of their adventures to reflect the marks their experiences leave on them while transforming between your Wolf and Mortal forms!
The crowdfunding campaign aims to bring the game’s vivid world to life in an 8.5” x 8.5” full-color perfect bound book loaded with gorgeous art from a team of 4 artists accompanying setting & mechanics from award-winning designers Julie-Anne Muñoz and Nevyn Holmes.
The crowdfunding campaign launches May 14th, running through June 11th, 12pm US Central with an initial funding goal of $19,500 USD with plenty of stretch goals to unlock for more art, more content, and even an expansion!

Making masks & shifting forms
Tumblr media
In your Wolf form, you have access to the benefits of your beastly Attributes, can sing magical Spellsongs, and can resist harm with your Resolve. In your Mortal form, you'll switch your Attributes, Spellsongs, and Resolve out for strong, flexible Mortal Powers that can turn the tide of any situation they're used in. Through character advancement, you can strengthen yourself as you see fit. Perhaps you favor one form over the other, or you may switch between them frequently. The choice is yours.
The Enchanted Forest
Tumblr media
As you explore this dense forest you'll meet the powerful and mysterious Queens and aid them, and their courts, through all manner of quests and favors. As a werewolf, you're uniquely gifted in traversing the forest, capable of making it to every edge of the woods, meaning that only you can learn its deepest secrets.

✨ A free demo/quickstart for Little Wolves is available to download and play, get it here! ✨

I promised I'd show off my beeg Halloween oc family, so that's what this post is about. All the art was done by my buddy @InfernalJade on Twitter and Newgrounds, please go check her out.
Other than that, here is my biggest group of OCs I have. Update (4-8-23): Added their respective voice claims! Please check for the latest reblog to watch. Update (8-6-23): Renovated the sypnosis and character descriptions so they're better written! Please take your time rereading :) Update (9-4-23): Made an Introduction video for the blog, please watch that first here before reading about each characters!
Within our world lies many tales, and in those tales lay legends told throughout history. Tales of trolls and true love, cautionary tales for children and the childish, and stories of the supernatural and superstitious. All of these fables were recorded over the years by many different people over many decades.
But that’s only to the people of Earth and the Dead. Beyond both planes lies a third realm, one where the Autumn Equinox rules forever. The days and nights are never too cool or hot, and a place full of humans and creatures of myth. This realm is Samhvilia, and it is the home of a wealthy family known as The Orthos Family.
The Orthos Family has been around for generations, and have been seen as high royalty to many in Samhvilia. It is here that The Orthos Family are keepers of deep knowledge. Books of lost history and much more from Earth are found and polished for Samhvilia to read. Whatever kind of book you wish to find, The Orthos Family will have it somewhere within their library filled walls. Not only that, but they’re the family that holds the Power of the Autumn Haunt (Halloween). Without it, Halloween would’ve been lost to time long ago.
But… even if they hold much knowledge from past decades, there is one story that remains untouched, untold by time. There is more to The Orthos Family than what everyone sees, and when two of the youngest sons in the family find a piece of an unsolved puzzle, they discover there is more to the Family and Samhvilia than anyone would ever thought.  Join the children of The Orthos Family, as they embark on a journey of mystery. To understand a rabbit hole of untold history, and the true powers of the Autumn Haunt and those after it.
Tumblr media
THE CHARACTERS
Founded by the Patriarch Samhe (Saw-way) Orthos, The old turnip has lived through much history and hell that he's grown tired over these last generations. He's often reserved to himself, but his cold and what feels like emotionless attitude can make the hairs of anyone who sees him stand up instantly.
He's not used to the world and how much it's changed, even outside of Samhvilia. His personality is that of a strict father, a tough and cold attitude to show he means business. In his spare time, Samhe likes writing in his room or reading a gothic book to himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Following Samhe is the Matriarch of the clan, Willo Orthos, A rutabaga headed nature spirit. She's somewhat similar to Samhe in terms of a strict parent, but she doesn't come off as cold or emotionless like he does. In fact, she's quite the opposite. Willo takes happiness in ger role as a matriarch and mother, teaching her children lessons for them to use as they grow older, and even offer a helping hand to those in need.
She has a few degrees in spell making, culinary alchemy, and party arrangements. Other than that, Willo is loved by her family and even by some other children. A kind mother despite being uncanny.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moving from Samhe and Willo now comes the children. The first son of the family, Crane Orthos is the eldest of The Orthos Family children. He was raised by Samhe under a golden child influence, which developed his personality into that of pride an arrogance.
There are days where he's selfish, yet this doesn't mean Crane is completely heartless. He cares deep down for those close to him, whether it'd be his family or close friends (assuming he even has any friends). In his spare time, Crane likes to practice his sword fighting skills alongside writing down stuff in his private journal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next child of the Orthos Family is Hallows Orthos, the second oldest son in the family. Hallows' personality is described as charming and energetic, an optimistic go getter who loves playing tricks and pranks and having fun. He is also close to Crane, despite Crane having slight jealousy towards Hallows for being the Spirit of Halloween.
He doesn't care too much for his family's history archiving tradition, but rather he embraces the Autumn Haunt every single day. He is the Spirit of Halloween afterall, so to keep such a title and power is important. Otherwise Halloween as a holiday would've been nonexistent long ago. When he's not playing tricks or gobbling down bowls full of candy, Hallows loves playing around with his younger brothers and visiting Earth from time to time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next is the adopted daughter of the Orthos Family, Batile orthos is a vampire bat fairy who hailed from a different part of Samhvilia before she became a foster child. In the family, she's the older sister. It's unknown whatever happened to her previous family, but Batile doesn't remember. She's quiet, sassy, and a reserved bookworm who, like an actual bat, spends time hanging from ceilings reading or sleeping.
She's often the medium between Hallows and Crane whenever they argue, the older sister to keep Ignus and Scorch from making bad decisions, and her relationship with Willo by learning magic and feeling like she's a part of the family. In her free time, Batile likes to read magic books to help furbish and even improve her magic skills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, we have Ignus and Scorch Orthos, the younger twin brothers of the Orthos Family. Ignus is the one in the orange sweater vest, while Scorch is the one in black. Ignus and Scorch's behavior and age are equivalent to that of tweens, ones who love to play tricks and find new adventures wherever they go. They can be a bit dumbfounded, and even comedic, but both twins stick together even when things get dark.
Ignus is described as adventurous and mischievous, while Scorch is smart and cautious. Together, these two like to cause hijinks wherever they are, and they also have a great relationship with Hallows.

Binded by flesh and soul; We, The Orthos Clan, dedicate to the archives of this world.

We're so excited to be working with Grendel for Little Wolves, our folk-tale TTRPG about shapeshifters in a realm of fae! He's bringing the queens to life in such a magical way and every update on this piece excites us to no end~
Speaking of the queens, let's talk a little about the 4 courts you'll meet!
First, you should follow our project on BackerKit! We're trying to hit 500 follows before we launch on May 14th, and we're inching closer!
The Enchanted Forest is split into 4 fey courts, each related to one of the elemental magics of the world: Wind, Fire, Earth and Water. These courts are each named for their queens; Witch, Pumpkin, Troll and Mermaid.
Every player character has ties to one of these courts, which affects the elements they’re strong and weak in, and each court and element grant different marks when you perform favors or overcome elemental trials.
Grendel’s depictions of the 4 queens are phenomenal, and soon enough we’ll be telling you more about each of the individual courts, their queens, and the many denizens you’ll meet on your adventures!

if, taking into account the question is worded exactly as it were typed, i would say probably like 300.
it doesn’t say my bones. it just says a bone. doesn’t have to be from an alive creature. it doesn’t have to be a certain size.
it doesn’t have to be mine.
there are so many creatures that exist with a varying number of bones where it would be almost impossible for it to be one of mine.
and even if it was mine, it didn’t say i would take substantial damage from it. it didn’t say i couldn’t operate without it. the fae magic could make it so i operate normally, and this weird little creature just lost 300 million dollars.
I saw this question posed on tiktok, but I think Tumblr would really enjoy it too.
If a fae creature offered to give one million dollars for a bone chosen at random, how many bones would you allow them to take?
Light clarifications; The fae is not the one choosing the bones. The bone is taken at random. Each bone, no matter the size or importance, is worth a full million dollars. You must also declare the exact number first, you can't go bone-by-bone. You either say 2 or you say 10, you can't work your way up to a higher number. The bones are removed instantaneously, and the money is given immediately as well. You will not get in government trouble for acquiring the money.
Tell me in the tags/replies how many bones you'd let the fae take. And as always, reblog for bigger sample size.

Growing up with strict, neurodivergent parents while neurodivergent yourself will have you as an adult acting like you've recently escaped the feywild. What are the tricky rules? Is everything accounted for? How do I ensure I don't accidentally step over the line into Impoliteness. You know the consequences aren't death and dismemberment but you might look down one day and find you've lost your shadow and all of your friends if you're not careful

OUT OF CONTEXT:
FAERIE'S DAWN
(actual writing for once lmao)
(tbh consider this kinda a teaser)
Tumblr media
Aurik collapsed, but... did he ever stop falling?
Everything swirled around him and was still at the same time.
Where was he? Who was he? What was happening?
So much was moving, everything was moving, nothing made sense and—
A heat welled up in Aurik's chest—did he even have a chest? What is that?—and flooded out from the hole in his face. The heat wracked his body, begging, pleading to escape, but he couldn't let it.
He didn't have a choice.
The world was spinning, spinning, spinning!
At the same time, the voice that called itself God spoke above all. It was the only thing that made sense amidst all the madness.
"Right, so!" it started, hints of bitter amusement within it, "this is my heart, where my power is strongest!"
A whirling flash of colors and colours and colors. Thousands of hands spun in circles around him, and only about 300 of them belonged to him! They hugged and tangled around him, tearing into his flesh but leaving no wounds.
"Just about all of—well, me, but—Faewildes! Gods, that's such a stupid name, you know that, right?" it rambled cheerfully, either ignorant of his pain or relishing in it.
The earth split and ate him whole, but it never ate him. He'd always laid atop an endless field of green, but it wasn't grass—it was lava, burning him alive.
"Like, geez, you put together 'fae' and 'wild'???" the voice prattled.
The heat had finally escaped from his body; it was pooled around him. He laid with his back against the green lava, gasping painful breaths as he stared at the wobbly, dark hands jutting from the lava, and the void of blue they reached for.
"Like, c'mon, we're more original than that, and most of us give ourselves literal names!"
Except, the lava wasn't burning him. It was cool, calming. Soothing.
The man called Aurik closed his eyes, struggling to take a deep breath.
His throat and sides ate themselves alive.
God's voice fell silent, and ants crawled from Aurik's eyes.
Finally, as cold balls of fluff filled his lungs, a faint, awkward chuckle reverberated throughout the world.
"Oh, right," the voice said awkwardly. "Humans. You're not good with, well... me."
Where am I? Aurik found himself able to think.
Who am I?
God sighed heavily, then finished impatiently: "right, well. I guess I'll give you a second to… catch yourself or whatever. Take your time, I guess."
Tumblr media
This was too fun, I had to share it.
So, I'm curious... what do you guys think actually happened in this scene?
I'm sure my color-coding probably helps lol

"The Seelie? Many a mortal has thought them to be the very best of the Folk—the preservers of beauty, wonder and "good", but at what cost?"

The Spring Court
The Fields of Spring, with rolling hills and crystal lakes, are a symbol of rebirth, youth and new beginnings.
The Court of Wonder is known for its romanticism, idealism and veneration of joy, whimsy and beauty. Indulging in decadence and hedonistic pursuits, many of Spring's inhabitants are free and flittering, but perceptive, keen on drama and in possession of an uncanny finesse.
Elements of the Spring Court: Earth & Water

Summer is the embodiment of life and strength. Dense, verdant forests, lush fields and glittering dunes, the lands of Summer are endowed with a beauty that is oppressive in its dominion.
Driven, stalwart and relentless, those of the Lumos Court are known for their temperamental nature.
Elements of the Summer Court: Fire & Air
**I finally got around to the Seelie introduction, almost two years after the Unseelie.

Welcome to the Faewild!
Hi there! This is the introduction for my au Into the Faewild, a comic/animation series about all our favourite MCYT characters!
I've been working really hard to reinvent this au from what it was a year ago and I'm really proud of what I've managed to create.
So if you're interested in Minecraft YouTube (the hermitcraft, life series side) and the mythical stories of the fae realm? I'd love to have you along for the ride!
(P.S: the music is a little loud, so a small headphone warning if you have sensitive hearing)
