Part of me wants to start more liberally using the cherokee tag just so there are posts in there made by someone other than bots, porn blogs, and people who are claiming us seemingly without knowing anything about us. And fucking jeeps.

Unfortunately, growing up online means I now have a near impossible to resist urge to piss people off online all the time. And I have to stop myself every time cuz I'm 26 w a career.

I was actually 9 and I did tell them that lmfao. but that man sure did argue w me for like. 3 days before I got bored#I was like hm. unfortunately I cannot save this sinner. but I did try.#insane shit fr. honestly a defining moment for me. that man would be in his 50s now#wish I could reunite w all the people I've argued w online. 3rd issue of the "Sheepman" Estradasphere fan-comic circa 2003
#Additional context: Sheepman is the self-insert of the author but also he would regularly show up in that costume irl to Estradasphere gigs#so he was like a Known Figure. he appears on one of the DVDs idr which one telling a possibly fictional account of how he met the band#These comics were featured on estradasphere.com at some point but not archived by the Wayback Machine -#- I got issues 3-5 from the esphere facebook fan group but there were like 12 total#(the pics were posted out-of-order so i hope this reads okay. i also may be missing some pages idk)#He was making them until like 2007 so there were a couple of Palace of Mirrors-themed ones that i unfortunately don't have#...funny considering PoM literally already had an accompanying short story#oh also the band members themselves cameo in issue 5 which is fun#idk these are obviously amateur comics but theyre FUN i like the goofy interpretations of esphere songs this is some shit i would do#estradaposting

but I also know so much of my ND experience is like... growing up with them? so even if I was an adult when I played some of them the memories of the few I did play in childhood resonate. so maybe kids growing up now will find a lot more value in it. BUT.... they're banking on older fans of the games to carry their company. made obvious by the constant references to older games, and frank/nancy, which is regrettably something I *know* their 25-45 yrs old fanbase goes crazy for. so if they're trying to reignite some of that excitement I think it fails on certain fronts. and it's too expensive if you're a non fan looking for a solid puzzle/mystery solving game. but I'm also selfishly glad it exists and that HerInteractive didn't completely go under, due to the aforementioned nostalgia, and that's admittedly very hypocritical of me to say.
#not to out myself as a member of the nd pc game fans facebook group but those 35 yr old homeschooling moms LOVEEEE nancy drew#and the games' large cast of ''handsome'' men#like i swear they made a DDI reference and like. WHO UNDER 20 HAS PLAYED DDI...#it's sad though too because i really liked the characters in MID. will have to take some motion sickness pills and finish it#i like the characters in this one a fine amount. they are growing on me

apropos of nothing i met my partner⁷s (plural system of 7) in ASL class at a community college, and chatting after revealed them to be 1. nonbinary and polyamorous 2. a fan of homestuck and the imperial radch trilogy, and so we had a lot to talk about. (we've been together for four years now.) they are also 3. a big fan of foxes. this is perhaps somewhat of an understatement. there are seven fox plushies (and a fox mug) (one of...three or four) staring at me as i type this. the eighth fox plushie is in our room and is fully three feet long recently i met a hauntingly beautiful person at the goth club in my city, and we made out on the dance floor. they signed at me a couple of times, since it was so fucking Loud (much more fluently than i did, but i still picked up some of what they were saying.) we grabbed coffee some time later and i learned they were 1. nonbinary and polyamorous, and 2. a fan of homestuck and the imperial radch trilogy ("that's my favorite series!" they said), and 3. had a tattoo of a fox on their arm, because they just love foxes :) i am now wondering if i have some sort of deeply specific type
