the way that people on social media now expect you to take everything someone says online as fact and that's how you should get your information is so fucking infuriating. i'm not trusting some random twt or tumblr user (or, god forbid, reddit) to give me accurate information on ANYTHING when we literally know how many fucking bots and disinformation campaigns exist on our internet. genz prides itself on being "the most politically aware" and act like they're going to start a fucking revolution from their iphones with hashtags, and then turn around and believe what someone says on a fucking tiktok with absolutely no sources or fact verification at all. yeah, y'all are real aware - of bullshit. do fucking better.

but I also know so much of my ND experience is like... growing up with them? so even if I was an adult when I played some of them the memories of the few I did play in childhood resonate. so maybe kids growing up now will find a lot more value in it. BUT.... they're banking on older fans of the games to carry their company. made obvious by the constant references to older games, and frank/nancy, which is regrettably something I *know* their 25-45 yrs old fanbase goes crazy for. so if they're trying to reignite some of that excitement I think it fails on certain fronts. and it's too expensive if you're a non fan looking for a solid puzzle/mystery solving game. but I'm also selfishly glad it exists and that HerInteractive didn't completely go under, due to the aforementioned nostalgia, and that's admittedly very hypocritical of me to say.

apropos of nothing i met my partner⁷s (plural system of 7) in ASL class at a community college, and chatting after revealed them to be 1. nonbinary and polyamorous 2. a fan of homestuck and the imperial radch trilogy, and so we had a lot to talk about. (we've been together for four years now.) they are also 3. a big fan of foxes. this is perhaps somewhat of an understatement. there are seven fox plushies (and a fox mug) (one of...three or four) staring at me as i type this. the eighth fox plushie is in our room and is fully three feet long recently i met a hauntingly beautiful person at the goth club in my city, and we made out on the dance floor. they signed at me a couple of times, since it was so fucking Loud (much more fluently than i did, but i still picked up some of what they were saying.) we grabbed coffee some time later and i learned they were 1. nonbinary and polyamorous, and 2. a fan of homestuck and the imperial radch trilogy ("that's my favorite series!" they said), and 3. had a tattoo of a fox on their arm, because they just love foxes :) i am now wondering if i have some sort of deeply specific type

Yes, not an autistic here, but I get the overlapping voices bit. Groupworks were the worst. I didn't participate in the groupwork because I thought that it was beneath me, I genuinely had trouble figuring out what they said. I can hear the voices, I can differentiate the voices, but I can't quite understand the words when it's overlapping. I can, on good days, but only with lots of concentration. And even then, I'll only get bitts and pieces. Enough to understand what's going on. But even then, it is exhausting. And that's on good days. Good days don't happen often. Generally, it's just overwhelming when multiple people talk.
