After years of skimming books, Skipping chapters, spoiling endings – You decided to read me differently. To caress the spine gently, savor every moment Linger on each word, softly turn each page To take things slowly. That’s what we said. You scribbled your annotations Dogeared my corners And tore out every page of me worth something On your journey of self discovery. I’m left splayed open, torn, jagged. we never made it to the end, You decided it wasn’t fair to keep stringing me along After you already strung me along. You took me back to the beginning To the bench that started it all, you spoke the words to end it You care more about the symmetry, the symbolism, than the cruelty of leaving me crying in the cold. I know exactly who I am, I can recall those pages by memory, I'll rewrite them, tuck them in gently. I might just be a little sloppy until I find the time to stitch my booklets and refinish my binding But you're left with my fragments. You still don't know who you are, who I am, you've learned nothing. You projected onto me never saw me as an equal and used me to try to grow. All you've done is take and hurt. Many years my elder and far less mature.

RANT; K I just started using “Facebook dating” and I gotta admit, swiping is super fun. I feel nervous (never dated before). I doubt I’ll get any matches or anything will come of it but oh well.
I have a lot of conflicting feelings at the moment. The more I swipe the more I realize my attraction to men is very minimal compared to women and that scares me SO MUCH. I’d never be accepted by the majority of my family. I still constantly battle in my mind “is it a sin?” (Religion trauma). But my gosh do I want to experience dating a girl. And saying that makes me feel weird.

Work stuff:
Yesterday at work after my manager had left, the big manager left and basically everyone in the building is gone except Lisa and myself, some weird man calls at the front door..I was in the bathroom, so Lisa answered the door.
Weird dude is at the door saying he wants us to print him a copy of some toll policy agenda that was just released to the public (per freedom of public) umm if it's free to the public, go print it yourself? Lisa wanted to let this dude into the building and I'm all we can't print anything for you (we are not open to the general public) there is a library a block away. Bye!
Dates:
Had a date tonight and dude did notttt look like his profile pictures. Also I had noooo chemistry with him..and like he complained about money, he lost 3 days of income last week because of the snow and then Friday his manager sent him home early because there wasn't enough work.
Sooo yeah, date was not very good. He texted me tonight, I'm not texting back. Also is it wrong to delete him as a match?
I'm straight ghosting.👻👻👻

If you don't know what you're talking about you don't need to be judging women for being stuck in the situations that they are in.
You have a lot of unrecognized privilege if you think it's that easy for straight women/fem people exclusively attracted to men.
(I'm screenshotting the people adding me at this point, because I want to cry every time I'm on these apps.)

Olivia “Via” Colman the Dog, named (of course) after Olivia Colman the Human. DS Ellie Miller in Broadchurch is one of my favorite characters from anything ever!
Among other things, she also goes by and/or responds to
1) “Viapuppyviapuppyviapuppyviapuppy—”
2) “Viver Viver, Everything-Eater”
3) “EXCUSE ME????? NO, MA’AM!!!!”
4) “Olive”
5) 🎶 “Ooooooliviaaaaaaa!” 🎶 (to the tune of the theme song of the kids’ animated show ‘Olivia’)

Looking Back on a Relationship with Fresh Eyes!
The first time I heard the phrase “hindsight is 20/20”, I struggled to understand the meaning. Although I grew up with English as my primary language, certain expressions weren’t commonly known in my culture, even for an avid reader as myself. It wasn’t until I heard and understood the meaning of 20/20 vision, that I then got to understand the meaning of “hindsight is 20/20”. In the weeks and…

I think it's laughably sad that almost every dating app that I used just doesn't get any message backs. Like not even a lick or crumb. No matches whatsoever. Part of me wonders if it's just me but at the same time, I've built myself to be pretty confident in myself, that if someone doesn't like me back, they just can't handle me, I can understand that. But nobody even seems to dare step into the dragon's lair to find out...I'll blame the apps, every.single.one.of.them.

Does Facebook Dating Use an Algorithm?
In modern romance, online dating has become a digital Cupid, connecting hearts in the vast landscape of the internet. Among the plethora of platforms, Facebook Dating stands out, beckoning users with the promise of meaningful connections. But, you might wonder, how does it work its matchmaking magic? The answer lies in the intricate dance of algorithms – the digital wizards orchestrating potential love stories.
Understanding Algorithms
Before diving into the inner workings of Facebook Dating, let's unravel the mystery of algorithms. In simple terms, algorithms are like digital matchmakers, tirelessly working behind the scenes to pair people based on shared interests, preferences, and compatibility. You encounter algorithms daily, from search engines guiding your inquiries to the music suggestions streaming through your favorite app.
The Role of Algorithms in Online Dating
In online dating, algorithms are pivotal in refining the matchmaking process. They sift through vast pools of user data, seeking patterns and similarities to connect like-minded individuals. Other dating platforms have paved the way, demonstrating how algorithms can enhance user experiences by providing more accurate and tailored matches.
What is Facebook Dating?
Now, let's step into the realm of Facebook Dating. Tucked within the familiar blue walls of the social media giant, Facebook Dating is not just another dating app. It extends your Facebook experience, offering a dedicated space for exploring romantic connections. Integrated seamlessly into the platform, it goes beyond the superficial, leveraging the depth of your Facebook profile to find matches that align with your interests and lifestyle.
How Facebook Dating Works
Imagine Facebook Dating as a digital symphony where your preferences, interests, and location form the musical notes. The matchmaking process begins with creating your dating profile and drawing information from your existing Facebook profile. This includes your bio, photos, and the pages you've liked – providing a comprehensive snapshot of your personality.
As you explore the dating realm, the algorithm takes center stage. It considers a myriad of factors, from your expressed preferences to your geographical location. If you're an avid hiker who loves indie music and resides in a bustling city, Facebook Dating's algorithm uses this information to suggest potential matches with similar passions and proximity.
The Algorithm Behind Facebook Dating
Behind the scenes, Facebook Dating's algorithm is a sophisticated blend of artificial intelligence and user data analysis. It continually learns from user interactions, adapting and refining its suggestions based on the feedback and actions of its users. The more you engage with the platform, the better the algorithm predicts your preferences and delivers matches tailored to your taste.
The algorithm considers elements such as your stated preferences, mutual friends, and shared interests. It's designed not just to connect you with someone but with someone who aligns with your lifestyle and values. The goal is to foster genuine connections that go beyond surface-level attraction.
User Privacy and Security
Amid the quest for love, privacy, and security become paramount concerns. Facebook understands this and has implemented robust measures to protect user data. The algorithm operates within the boundaries of strict privacy controls, ensuring that your personal information remains secure. Transparency is critical, and users can adjust their privacy settings to tailor their experience on the platform.
Challenges and Criticisms
While algorithms strive for perfection, they are not immune to challenges. Acknowledging potential biases and addressing criticisms is part of Facebook's commitment to continuous improvement. As with any digital matchmaking system, there are hurdles to overcome, and Facebook is actively working to refine its algorithm to provide an inclusive and positive experience for all users.
Conclusion
The charm of Facebook Dating lies in how it works – a smooth blend of intelligent algorithms and user-friendly features. It's not just about finding anyone; it's about finding someone who clicks with who you are. Like a digital Cupid, the algorithm works behind the scenes, tirelessly figuring out how to match you with people who share your interests and are nearby.
So, when browsing profiles or having heart-to-heart chats, remember that there's a hidden force at play. Wondering, How does Facebook Dating works? Well, it's these clever algorithms doing their thing – analyzing what you like, where you are, and suggesting potential matches. Embrace the journey, and let the digital magic of Facebook Dating create connections that bring genuine joy and companionship in the digital age.
