i'm gonna go ahead and say it: buck and tommy's relationship extremely resonates with me as a queer man. i am very lucky to find myself in a relationship where i am extremely happy, and i'll be honest in saying that we parallel bucktommy a lot—hence the representation felt. it does not matter to me what you say, especially if you aren't a queer man. and even MORE especially if you are not a queer man watching the show specifically only because buck became bisexual, and then immediately criticize his relationship with a man. i feel genuinely sorry for the people out there that feel like this mature, healthy, loving, organic (!!! they're literally still getting to know each other and it's so beautiful to see how their relationship is blossoming) relationship is boring. because if the only way you are interested and feel represented by a relationship is if there is consistent drama, and unrequited love then i'm sorry for whatever relationship you find yourself in.

At the mention of the man's name, Buck's face immediately goes lax, his lips stretching into a happy, almost excited grin.

"Yeah, what about him?" He asks, giving Eddie his full attention.

Eddie swallows nervously before deciding to just be... direct. Yeah, just be direct.

"So you're, uh, pretty happy with him?"

"Of course! He's practically a big teddy bear" Buck laughs, and Eddie can't help but run his words through his head again, because surely not, right? There was no way Buck referred to Tommy Kinard as a teddy bear, right?

The same guy who responded to Buck's excited chatter with uninterested "hmms" and "okays?" The same guy who stood stiff as cardboard whenever Buck threw an arm around his waist or shoulder? The same guy who responded to Eddie's attempts at conversation with a slow blink and a stiff nod? That guy?

"...Right. And he, uh, treats you well, yeah? You don't ever feel like you're talking to... I dunno, a brick wall?" Eddie asks, very directly.

Buck raises his eyebrows. "A brick--? No, of course not! Tommy's a great listener. Trust me, I would know considering how much I talk" He jokes.

Eddie must be going crazy, because it feels like he and Buck are talking about two different people right now. What the fuck.
