I like that they made General Faust in Frontline 59 a genuine villain. We fight on the side of Cascadia during the main game so we're used to seeing the Cascadians as the normal reasonable ones and the Feds as the unhinged ones. But no, they decided to make her an insane Cascadian nationalist. Like she isn't just opposing the Federation because she believes they're tyrants or for the inequality or anything. She opposes them because she believes that Cascadia should should be ruling the world instead! Listen to her speeches! This woman genuinely believes that Cascadia is divinely ordained by the dust mother to rule. She doesn't just want independence she wants to conquer. Cascadian exceptionalism and nationalism are apparently things that exist! And she's not the only one who thinks this way either, we know she has her cult following of marines willing to go on suicide missions for her and that she apparently has enough political power and connections to get the invasion of Magadan underway in the first place! Her existence and what she did in Oceania and does in Magadan show a new element to the whole Cascadian rebellion. And what with how the main game proceeds along with Sicario and the Cascadian government negotiating The Deal it makes the long term goals of Cascadia very suspect
