the key thing you need to remember about emmrich is that yes he is a sweet, kindly man, but first and foremost he is a freak and is liable to start talking about weird shit at any given moment. he thinks discussing post-mortem planning is like, a normal conversation to have with your friends. all the dates he takes you on are in a graveyard. you fuck in a coffin at some point. and that's the tame end of things. he's also prepared to talk about complex magical theory at any given moment and he absolutely does not have a gauge of what is a safe amount to assume someone knows about that (answer: zero). so if you're not playing a mourn watch rook, you do need to make sure the rook you're romancing him with is prepared to match his freak. you need to craft a character that is prepared for him to talk about corpses on a date and still be enthusiastically down afterwards.
