i can fix them if i actually cared - this would require a real huntlow based episode where they talk things out and willow becomes uncomfortable with how hunter is willing to do anything for her and even gets her things before she asks (like, if she mentions being thirsty, before she even gets up hes already back with a glass of water and an expression akin to a dog awaiting praise.) this compounds over the episode until she freaks out a bit and then sits him down and asks what His Fucking Deal Is and hes forced to confront his people pleaser nature, and resolves to change for the better.

Evelyn - Eda Raises Two Gods AU

Evelyn is a fourth generation werebeast hybrid, ~6.25% werebeast. She's a Phoenix werebeast!

Circe Clawthorne(biological Clawthorne) and Avis Clawthorne(married into, third generation werebeast hybrid) are her mothers. Wittebros had heart attacks learning she had two moms and no father.

She unfortunately had a very witch like intermediate form, so her shifts are much more different and she tends to stay in her intermediate form to make her shift into her giant Phoenix form easier.

She is a carpenter and a palisman maker. She made her own palisman, Indigo. Indigo is based on a nightjar.

Evelyn used to sneak into the human realm when she was younger, she saw people suffering and sought to help them, she avoided the witch hunters with her magic, and freed wrongly imprisoned people accused of witchcraft, some she got to safer places, others she brought to her realm where they would be safe.

She meet the wittebros while saving a supposed witch, they chased after her, and in the ensuing conflict between them, they broke the gravesfield portal door and stranded themselves in the Boiling Isles, and by being there, they outed Evelyn for sneaking into the human realm to her mothers.

The Clawthorne matriarchs allowed the wittebros to stay in their home while they and Evelyn worked on building a new portal for them to return to their home through.

They did know the bros were witch hunters, but it's kinda hard to kill the witches you live with when two out of three of them are werebeasts and could crush you.

Evelyn and Caleb had an enemies to friends dynamic at first, because they are a witch hunter and a witch, but during his time in the Isles and seeing there was more to the witches than what he was taught, he started softening up and his curiosity started getting the better of him.

Evelyn showed him how to make a palisman, boom, Flapjack is here now.

Evelyn started warming up to him, they started becoming closer, and Philip was disgusted by it, they weren't even romantic yet, they were just becoming friends. Brotherly schism happened, Philip left to find a way home on his own, he was disgusted by his brother's reliance on the witches.

Caleb was upset by his brother leaving, but he knew that they had both changed, and he had to let his brother take flight without him.

Evelyn and Caleb were getting even closer, Caleb had his bi awakening and had a lot of processing to do with that. And that polygamy is pretty common among witches, especially werebeasts.

Eventually, they fell in love, and then Evelyn was her husband's wingman(get it? Cause she's a bird lady) for flirting with the guy he liked. It worked :D

Everything was going well and fine, Evelyn was close to giving birth, the whole family was excited for the new family member, and then Philip came back.

You know how it goes from there, only Caleb did get to meet Esther (his kid) when she was first born.

Then you know, Philip committed fratricide, got himself cursed by Evelyn and Caleb's boyfriend, and had to live in hiding from the angry witches.

Evelyn lived into her two hundreds because of her werebeast heritage. She died in the 1800s.

Esther's descendants led to the Clawthorne sisters, carrying her mother's werebeast blood and her father's human blood, though the werebeast blood overpowers the human blood.

Evelyn did not go to the afterlife peacefully, and is currently haunting Philip with Caleb and the dead golden guards.

This has been sitting in my drafts since I first sketched it out in 2023, I haven't finished her phoenix form yet, but I will sometime.

I almost put Kirby in his own tier for "...is the therapist" but I thought it might look like he was giving up on the last row! (And in some cases he kinda did but still! XD) But anyway, yes. I think Kirby is just as strong mentally as he is physically. He doesn't need someone to talk to about bad dreams. He's the one who eats up bad dreams. ^_-

OG Animal friends (Rick, Coo, Kine) are all good in my book. Maybe they're just blissfully unaware of some of the chaos from the later games or maybe they're just okay with it cause they've got such a good foundation of support built up already? And despite creating "Apologies," I think Adeleine is not all that troubled on the day-to-day and is being an adventurous kid living her best life right now! Ribbon went through some trauma but I actually think she'd be handling it okay? She could arguably be moved down a tier though. Gryll MIGHT could be moved down a tier too, depending on whether you see them as a compulsive thrill-seeker or not! Elline is also doing great. That notebook-diary of hers is peak good mental health routine!

[Row 2 / Got Sorted Out in a Few Sessions]

I don't think Gooey's actual -problems- would/could be solved in a few sessions, but it's clear to me he's living his best life and I think our fictional therapist would see that and encourage him to keep going! Just let the guy know that it's okay to not know who you are. Bandee by my judgement has some issues, but he seems the type to respond really well to therapy and healthy suggestions!

Pitch could maybe be moved up a tier if he really is just a baby bird. But I look in those eyes and I just...wonder sometimes if he's okay up there?? Vul definitely needs someone to talk to, but I don't think his issues are all that severe either? Voted #1 Regular Guy on this entire table. The Fairy Queen and Claycia could use someone to talk to about possession trauma, I think. Void's here instead of a lower tier because the way I see it Void already GOT therapy in game! Clawroline and Gorimondo could be moved up a tier as well, but Carol may want to talk about seeing her partner, y'know, lose his soul and Gorimondo's routines MAY be slightly unhealthy?? (How many times are you going to let Meta Knight curb stomp you, man?)

Whispy Woods has got a long history with Kirby, sure, but the whole attacking people as soon as you wake up? I think life's taken a toll on him and that's gonna need some discussion. Dedede is...obvious. Nothing unique to add here! Chuchu's placement depends on if she's still crushing hard on Kirby after all this time or not or just sees them as friends now. Kind of a joke placement at her expense! I’m sorry, Chuchu! I really do think you’re great! Best flapjack octopus!!

Skirby could maybe be moved down a tier as their coping methods are leaning a little into the sketchy as of late! Have they turned to violence for kicks or are they just challenging their mainverse self to grow stronger? Daroach is less here for Dark Nebula and more for all the OTHER stuff he lets slip in Mass Attack! (When did your hatred of tomatoes first start, Daroach?) Prince Fluff is here entirely because of the unused missing mom lore. Without that, he's so fluffy (haha) I'd moved him all the way up to "Doesn't need therapy." Flamberge definitely has issues, as the who~le cult does, but she still strikes me as the most balanced of the three mages? As I recall it, she actually sounded kinda excited to see the Star Allies during their second fight, as opposed to the first, which was just revenge for Fran. Leongar could be bumped down a tier, since he had his soul shattered in addition to being body-puppetted and forced to speak and adopt a foreign culture for years (?!) by an evil alien lifeform(!!) but...I dunno, he seems so chill in the ending and is seen back with the support of his pack? I think he'd be really receptive?? Elfilin also has sooooo many issues, but he's demonstrated so much growth already that I think with some help processing the return of/unification with his other self, his prognosis is very good!

[Row 4 / Gonna Be There for the Long Haul]

It's not that I think the lonely/jealous thing for DMS is particularly damning, but when combined with the ~Dark Matter~ thing and the fact that it may be nearly impossible for them to willingly go against hive programming/defy Zero is what's gonna give them a difficult road ahead. (Gooey's a sign it can be done though.) Honestly, Drawcia might could maybe be moved down a tier? I mean, if you see her "art therapy" as the World of Drawcia then... :sweats: But I have a lot of positive Drawcia HC and I want her to be happy ^^

I think Magolor is another self-explanatory one. Even Merry Magoland makes you wonder if he's still, y'know, "okay" on the inside. Taranza and Sectonia are obvious ones too. Susie is the only one I would consider maybe moving up a tier because she's got issues but the only one she was clinging badly too in my mind was the stuff with her father and she's moved on from that better than Taranza, who was still looking to resurrect Sectonia circa Star Allies. Was tempted to move President Haltmann down a tier simply because...I don't think a therapist can do anything about the evil super computer induced brain damage/LITERAL MIND DELETION.

Francisca gets here because of the corpse-sicle thing but maybe she should be moved down a tier too? ^^ I think most of the fandom has similar feelings on Zan and her level of damage. (/loving) And while he would have deserved it mid-game, I didn't want to put Hyness in the bottom tier now because that felt kinda cruel given the guy is trying his best to get better in the end of Star Allies!

I don't think there's ANY reasoning with Kracko. Kracko is just a lifelong hater! (And we love him for that!) With Marx and Meta Knight, of course the joke is that they're both irreparably unhinged (/pos) but I think there's an element of, "Well, you SEEM to have your life sorted out according to priorities that make the most sense to you (...even if those aren't what the rest of society feels is healthy OR safe...) and you seem happy where you are so, best of luck to you!"

Zero is either emotionless or made of negative emotions and neither feels receptive to therapy, I'm afraid. With Galacta Knight... I just think it's best for the therapist to get out of there before the office is destroyed! Why risk the chance it doesn't work out?! And while I don't think Dark Meta Knight is hopeless myself, I DO think the therapist would be totally valid to politely tell them, "...I don't think you need MY help ^^; Have you considered checking out your local SCA chapter?" (Alternatively, DMK could be raised a FEW levels because between the joy with which he goes at those crayon drawings and the wing-sunning flappies, he may know how to treat himself better/ know better self-care than MK - hilariously.)

ShaDe may a walking bundle of possessions in a body and I don't know how you would tackle that in therapy?! Get him an exorcism?! Sillydillo is also living their best life with, um ...a-art...therapy... so I think they're fine...? Yes. Fine. Let's go with fine. (I love you so much, Sillydillo. I love you and your only-boss-in-Kirby-with-a-one-hit-instant-kill-attack-and-it's-shockingly-brutal-in-a-still-safe-for-little-kids-way! ...Lastly, I almost moved Morpho Knight up to the first tier because, I mean, THEY don't seem to have any problems. THEY'RE just doing their job! Maybe their problems are everyone else's problems?! XD

it has been a long time since i posted but HEY IM STILL ALIVE Here is my first illu for the @wittecoupleweek for the theme "Birds" and i choose to use my AU concept with cool Caleb

(for context : witch and humains live somehow together or are at least trying and they started to have school exchange. Evelyn started this years in a humain school and caleb who is a bit the silly guy of the school while seeing her for the first time got a crush on her)

Evelyn is working to repear the mascott costume for Caleb, he asked her because he discovered she liked doing little crafty things and wanted to pass time with her but he feels too shy to ask her anything. (Evelyn even made a house for flapjack).

I like that Vee, Hunter, the Collector, and Luz, all have different Belos trauma from the ways he impacted their lives. Vee just wants nothing to do with him, she's entirely divorced herself from that part of her life and she's moved forward while still dealing with her trauma. When she fought Belos, she was only focused on saving Hunter, not on him because she doesn't give him any time. Hunter is always going to be stuck with Belos the most in his day-to-day life, he's got severe flashbacks and Belos killed his bird. So like, the absence of Flapjack, everything reminds Hunter of Belos. And Belos was the worst to him, because Hunter was somebody Belos cared about within direct hitting range. Hunter was angry and scared and sad but he directly got to confront and attempted to kill Belos himself because Belos forced him into that position. And Hunter loved him and Belos abused him for a long time so he's still sorting through his feelings.

The Collector kinda seems to recognize that trauma the least of any of them, they kinda don't seem to want to or can't think about it. It definitely hit them in WAD that Belos wasn't good but it's not directly addressed within the show how Belos treated them or how Belos was the only person they could talk to and how he got them to help him kill people and the Collector didn't actually understand that people were dying. That's... a lot. Luz's trauma from Belos mostly comes in her crushing guilt, he makes her feel bad and she starts losing herself and her spark. Luz gets back her hope and realizes that she wants to live and she's finally able to kill him. And she just stares him down as he tries to manipulate her and lets him suffer and it's. epic.

Hello miss lolly! I've got a little huntlow headcanon I was hoping you might be able to help me flesh out. I don't think Hunter thinks of Willow as "cute"... at first. I think when he starts crushing on her, it's because of a lot of things: she's beautiful, she's strong, she's confident, she's kind, she's strong, did i mention she's strong? etc etc. "Cute", to him, is what flapjack and the other palismen are, what pretty pastel colors are, maybe the outfits that Willow wears, but not her herself. But! Willow IS cute! All her friends know it, even SHE knows it! So at some point, probably during their time in the human realm, Hunter absolutely HAS to see her doing something cute or dorky that makes him realize "oh, she's adorable." My question for you is: what is she doing that makes him realize that? P.S. If it wasn't completely obvious, I am a HUGE fan of you and your writing -- I love your fics and how you write huntlow! you're awesome!

I think one of the most adorkable things Willow canonically does is how she talks to plants. Like when she calls a flower "little friend" in her debut episode, or when she tearfully says goodbye to a tree in Escaping Expulsion. And of course, that scene in ftf where she gushes over grass and then gets all giggly when the illusion sprites cuddle her. Hunter was shown to go very soft for her during that part.

It's established that Willow tended to Camila's garden during their time in the Human Realm, with Hunter's assistance. I could see her fawning over each individual plant.

She gasps dramatically about how brightly the sunflowers shine and then drops to her knees, all like "Your majesty! Am I even worthy to be in your presence?" After that she whispers to Hunter that sunflowers are extremely vain and enjoy flattery, making him smirk.

She gets very silly around the plants. She likes to entertain them, so she puts on ridiculous voices when she speaks. She tells dumb cheesy jokes to the shrubs which only makes herself giggle madly until she has tears in her eyes.

Judging from that one scene in TTT, Willow has been growing dangerous bitey boiling isles plants during her time in the Human Realm. The ones with the teeth and a hunger for flesh. My headcanon is that Willow is very Steve Irwin-like when it comes to the monstrous plants. She finds them adorable. Absolute beauties. She coos over them like they're fluffy kittens.

Imagine her sitting in the garden with one of her most beloved monstrosities, tickling its petals and going "Who's the sweetest cutest prettiest plant in the world?? Is it you?? Is it youuuu~? As she cups its head in her hands and nuzzles it against her face. And because it adores her, it happily nuzzles back.

When Hunter sees her acting like a ridiculous little dork around her plants, the cuteness aggression makes him ACHE. She's too much.

shes trying to keep this pride thing a surprise so she asks him nonchalantly like “hey broooo i was just wondering. whats your sexuality. a friend wanted to know.”

and he bluescreens

“uh. i— i dont know, actually.”

he never really thought about it. hes always been too busy being attracted to them books lmao

he has to get back to her in two business days at least 😂😂😂

he basically spends those days spacing out and scaring his classmates by intensely staring at them.

hunter discovers that he generally feels the same about any gender. and he didnt really have a preference when imagining his future having a wife, husband, or partner. as long as they made him happy

and everyone was really pretty. hexside had quite a lot of cute witches and demons

but honestly, he still didn’t really find himself wanting to start a relationship with any of them (gee wonder why)

he chalks it up to the fact that he’s focusing on his studies and apprenticeship right now and has no time for romance

besides, if he had a partner, he’d have even less time to spend with luz his friends

Some Hunter headcanons because I miss that boy every day of my life

First of all, the hill I will absolutely die on: he cries at the drop of a hat. He really tried to act stoic and strong as the Golden Guard, but as soon as he knew he was in an environment where people weren’t judging his performance, sixteen (Grimwalker) years of pent-up emotion came bursting to the surface and anything could bring him to tears. Sadness, happiness, fear, disgust— doesn’t matter, he’ll cry about it

He’s kind of obsessed with breakfast foods, and not just a palisman-name bit. While in the Human Realm he made it his mission to try every breakfast cereal he saw on the grocery store shelf, and beyond that, he loves it all: waffles, pancakes, French toast, regular toast, bagels, you name it

During his time living in the Human Realm, he took up birdwatching. Camila noted how attentive he was with Flapjack and gave him a book on birds in the area, and it really helped his anxiety to just go outside with some binoculars and try to pick out which birds were singing when he felt himself starting to spiral

He loves making his friends laugh. Because of this, he’s picked up the corniest sense of humor you can imagine— he uses knock knock jokes to cheer people up and has a pun for every situation. Props to his friends though because they all find him hilarious (except for Amity, but even she has a joke or two that gets her)

He got really intense crushes on a number of coven scouts as soon as he hit puberty and dealt with them by trying to be even more perfect than he already strove to be (this was the origin of the Golden Guard voice). He started acting like that around Willow when he realized the nature of his feelings for her, but it wasn’t long until he realized she genuinely liked him because of the person he was behind the mask and not in spite of it

In addition to his palisman carving gig, he has a job in the human realm as a dog walker. He finds it keeps him grounded, and he’s very good with animals so the dogs love him. He has a little fanny pack of treats that he brings whenever he goes through the portal

Innocent AU/Owl House

The idea of this Au is quite extraordinary. Namely:

He’s actually surprisingly quite good at styling and braiding hair

He got her a little baby flower seed for her to plant when they where in the human world

Hunter and Willow raced their palismen or played flyer derby when they where in the human world

Willow ran her fingers through Hunter’s short hair before they went to bed

Darius loves Willow as Hunter’s girlfriend

They talk all night on pensta

Talking on pensta is great but they prefer to have conversations in person

Hunter is so smitten when Willow shows her strength whether it’s opening a jar that other’s can’tor doing workouts, Hunter is always smitten

A lot of their time is spent in silence or with little to no words like gardening or reading

They cherish the time they spend together

Hunter at first didn’t really talk to Willow that much because everyone in the post called his voice annoying and he didn’t want to annoy Willow

Willow constantly tells Hunter how much she loves his voice especially his laugh

Willow blushed when Hunter picked a flower and put it in her hair by surprise

Hunter wore the yellow sun hat (the one shown in Willow’s photo album) because Willow said it looked good on him

Hunter somewhat knows what Clover is saying and tried to talk to other bees in the human world causing them to chase him

Willow had to get Clover to tell the bees to stop chasing Hunter

Hunter thinks that he isn’t good enough for Willow since she’s so strong and didn’t want to embarrass her

Willow took care of Hunter when he was sick and bought her cold stud earrings (the ones she wears in the season 2 end credits)

They always go on picnics, watch the sunset, or watch/chart star constellations as dates

Gus one time made an illusion of Willow and Hunter attempted to flirt with it but when he reached for the hand it poofed away and hw as so embarrassed and Gus was in trouble

After Labyrinth Runners, Willow grew fruits and veggies for Hunter

After learning about the day of unity Willow was scared about what will happen to Hunter since he has no magic

Hunter big spoon Willow little spoon but when one of them has a bad day or nightmare that one is the little spoon

(Happened immediately after everyone was re-uniting with each other) Hunter properly introduced Willow to Darius and Willow introduced her parents

Hunter was scared about meeting Willow’s parents since he was the golden guard and they knew what happened about ASIAS

Hunter was worried for nothing since he took care of their daughter

Both of them thanked Hunter and he said it was nothing

Hunter went to the human world and bought Cosmic Frontier book set and read it together with Willow and Gus

Hunter is speechless when he sees Willow in her grom dress and was red tomato face the whole night

Hunter didn’t wanna go to Grom with Willow since he doesn’t know how to dance and didn’t want to embarrass her but she told him that nobody knows how to dance at Grom and he accepted her offer to dance

When Hunter found out about their plan he scolded them saying that when he does kiss Willow it can’t be forced and is waiting for the right moment

They also have a tree house in the Boiling Isles

They spend more of their time in the tree house than they do at home whether it’s with each other or by themselves they spend more time there than anywhere else

Darius, Harvey and Gilbert don’t know about the tree house

Neither do the Hexside kids or the Emerald Entrails team and they intend to keep it that way

Hunter and Willow sometimes pull memories out of them whenever one of them ask a personal question

It’s easier to see than explain especially with Hunter’s situation

Hunter took care of Willow when she was sick and she was very red tomato faced both ‘cause the fever and because of Hunter

When Willow was recovering from her sickness, Hunter mistook her blushing and flustered as her getting sicker and worse

Willow and Hunter always sleep together (NOT IN A SEXUAL WAY!) sleep in the same bed cuddling or spooning etc

They usually sleep together in the tree house

Gus playfully jokingly asked both of them when is their wedding

They both got flustered and red tomato face

After that Hunter genuinely asked Willow if she sees a future with him in it

Willow got flustered and said yes

Other than that one time they both don’t want to think way ahead into the future and re more focused on each other and the present

Harvey and Gilbert love Hunter and ships him and Willow constantly

i like to think olivia was like a big sister figure to him much like susan was to the trio, the very few bits of olivia characterization we get in light novels just make me think they'd get along <3 ithink michelle had a similar relationship with gilda and maybe anna as well

him and emma are BEST FRIENDS their dynamic is so fun to think about. they spend their time doing wild and sometimes dangerous shit just for fun and also coming up with new creative ways to mess with ray

norman+don friendly rivalry is soo real to me even if don is probably more into it than norman. post-canon he WILL finally beat norman in tag if its the last thing he does

has had a crush on ray for basically forever. him and conny picked a bunch of flowers in the forest for him one time but don was too nervous to ever actually give them to him

his and conny's beds at gracefield were right next to each other and sometimes conny would get up and crawl into his bed when she got scared at night <3

WOLFPACK TRIO BESTEST TRIO EVER ithink they have sleepovers a lot. ayshe's dogs love him more than anyone besides ayshe herself, and they tend to just sort of. dogpile on him. he's completely okay with it

Ah… that ain’t a daisy. And this time there’s no adolescent deity that’s gonna come save them from the tyrant’s corpse that so stubbornly refuses to just die already. And he’s got the vial too… AND there’s a stone arch right behind them that could make for a really cool portal… just saying.

And man, I was right, this looks so cool! The moonlit woods, the graves, the bridge leading to the island, the light from the portal! Chef’s kiss.

I watched just a few seconds further and it does seem like idea of the conversation echo continues, with Luz standing in for Evelynn. Philip is outraged, saying Caleb (played in this latest rendition by Hunter) ”stabbed him in the back,” betrayed him. 

After all, Caleb was supposed to ”slay the witch” not ”lay the witch,” so to say.

(you have no idea how long i’ve waited to make that joke)

If we continue on this line of thinking that this is reenacting the past, then this might be representative of how after killing Caleb and being confronted by Evelynn, Philip ran away or fled through a portal, to eventually return with a new evil plan. One that, from his twisted point of view, would do the ultimate good for the world and in the eyes of God; the extermination of all witches. After all… thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

It might even be that in some way, he thinks that by taking Caleb’s life, he’d spare him an eternity in hell as punishment for his unholy union with demon.

Anyway, in the present, former Emperor, current moldy loaf of bread is returning to the Demon Realm through this improvised portal.

So let’s recap: Hunter was haunted by visions of the monster that abused him since childhood (and indeed created him basically for that purpose), he got possessed by the aforementioned creepy maniac, was forced to fight his friends, got some of his flesh eaten away at, his best friend and palisman is dying, mortally wounded by his own hand, and he may be dying soon as well. To top it all off, Luz just outed Hunter as a grimwalker, a secret he was very keen on keeping for the time being, to his crush.

Must be Thursday. Never could get the hang of Thursdays.

I knew Hunter was gonna have a rough time this episode, but bloody hell’s bells asså.

Flapjack, mustering the last of his strength, gives what little life he has left so that Hunter may live. As the magic seeps into the unconscious youth, the brave little bird’s body begins to disintegrate, turning into brilliant golden pyreflies that rise upward into a clear and starry autumn sky.

There might be something to be said about how when Philip violently cracks open palismen to steal their magic essence to selfishly prolong his own existence, their bodies become grey wooden husks, whereas when Flapjack willingly gives up his life, his body instead turns into golden light.
