"Are you SURE this is a good idea?"

"Positive!!"

"Dite, it's BLOSSOM."

"She just needs to get out more!"

Jacqueline frowned, looking unsure. "I mean, yeah, it's just...karaoke? I'm not sure it's a great idea. I mean, you remember what happened last time we took her to an eatery, right?"

Sauce coated their table, Blossom standing on top of it as she squished the condiments out of their bottles, coating the child across from her as she yelled right at the poor, literal, ACTUAL CHILD, "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET! THAT'S WHAT YOU GET—"

"Too much sugar?"

"Then there was the mini golf incident."

The windmill from the tiny windmill hole circled the three Legates as they watched, in varying degrees of shock, as the tiny buildings crumbled, the animatronics sparking, a small fire breaking out behind Blossom who stood triumphant, putter in the air.

"HOLE IN ONE!" She shouted, unfazed as Myles fell out of the pirate ship as it creaked and groaned, Olivia managing to just dodge the mainsail as it collapsed towards her, hitting a teeter totter and sending kids flying.

Dite looked away, flushed. "I don't think that mini golf was up to code."

"The beach incident?"

"There's no WAY she could've caused that tsunami! I bet it was Summer. Or Mel. Or both. Maybe the nymphs?"

"Okay, that one does have a lot of players, I'll give you that," Xander chimed in. "But consider this: the Spire wide three day sleep?"

"That was a while ago!"

Xander raised an eyerbow. "That was just last week, Dite. My Dad is still sleeping it off."

"Still?"

Xander nodded.

"He's usually sleeping, though."

"But this is unprecedented, Jacqueline. Also, I'm trying to help your argument?"

"Fair point! Look, Dite. I love you, and I love that you want to include Blossom in more of these outings...there've just been way too many incidents in a row and I can only talk our way out of them so many times!"

"Oh, but you do it so well," Dite folded her hands and lay them against her cheek, eyelashes (and wings) fluttering.

Jacqueline flushed. "Oh! Yes. I do! I mean. I know!"

"Are you flustering her on purpose?"

Dite giggled. "It's fifty-fifty," she said, tilting her hand back and forth. "She's just like that! Listen. I have considered the unbridled chaos that seems to follow Blossom everywhere we go, and I've got a plan this time."

"Oh?"

"If something happens, I am going to TACKLE HER and fly out of there as fast as possible, before she can cause any trouble!"

Xander and Jacqueline shared a look.

"And you're sure this'll work?"

"Positive! Come on guys, please? Pleaseeeee!?"

Jacqueline sighed. Xander shrugged.

"That's not a no-o~!"

"Okay, FINE."

"Yay!"

"I'll bring some dream sand with me."

"And I'll turn up the charisma."

"Oh, you guys! Thank you. This is gonna be SO fun!"

"But you're telling the others."

"Not a problem! I'm sure they'll understand!"

Not all of them did.

Day and Night didn't show up; Spring came in a lovely little dress coated in vines, swirling up her arms and down her legs, right to the tips of her heels—just in case, she had explained. Myles replied, in all caps, NO, and minutes before go time Olivia bowed out, citing a bit of a crisis at home, maybe related to the mini-golf incident. Charlie managed to arrive on time, a little windswept and Santa backpack bag on his back, ALSO just in case, he explained.

Still a good turn out, Dite thought, as they headed into their usual haunt, the karaoke already starting. Blossom hopped ahead excitedly, unable to hop straight as she took in the sights, ears twitching, nose as well, head spinning back and forth like a predator was nearby.

Xander watched Blossom carefully, filing in beside Dite; Charlie was chatting animatedly with Dite, Spring and Jacqueline bringing up the rear, heads close as they whispered quietly.

They were ready.

The evening went surprisingly well.

That is, until Brennan appeared.

He sung beautifully; huge round of applause all around. Magibeans fawned over him, and soon after staff handed out earplugs, because Brennan was, in fact, a siren.

And Blossom decided that he was the guy to beat.

And it all went downhill from there.

It was a new record. Blossom had lasted pretty long, making sure to sing right after Brennan every. Single. Time.

An hour or so of this back and forth, a few magibeans taking turns between the two of them, and Blossom made contact.

With her little bunny paws.

There was a rush to the exit as water sloshed through the bar. A battle cry suddenly stopped mid scream. Vines were tangled all over the roof of the establishment as Dite made a mad dash out of the pub, barking sorries behind her as she flew out, carrying a sleeping bunny coated in gold and covered in greenery. Behind her, Xander and Charlie carried a similarly snoozing siren between them, placing him down in the shore and starting the...intense process of flagging down the other sirens and explaining what had happened to their fellow merperson.

Inside, Spring and Jacqueline shared a look and a sigh.

"I'll take care of the proprietor, you take care of the wet and the green?"

"Yep. Yep yep yep yep," Spring agreed, turning and lifting her hands, the vines and water bending to her will.

Wrinkling her nose and grumbling, Jacqueline took a deep breath in before putting on her sweetest smile and rushing to the bar to smooth things over with the very bewildered nymph behind it.

LUCIFER, HUSK AND VOX

WITH AN AFFECTIONATE READER.

LUCIFER.

He adores it. Absolutely adores you and every single sweet thing you say to him, every touch you give him. However it may be you usually show you affections, put him on the receiving end and he is absolutely melting. He is so, so sweet to the people he loves. Seriously.

Reach out to take his hand while the two of you are out on a date .ᐣ He is swooning -- especially if you're so excited to be spending time with him you swing your hands together.

The first time you gave him a gift simply because it reminded you of him, he really and truly almost teared up. He is the King of Hell -- he could have anything and everything he ever wanted, but most days it feels like he has nothing.

Nothing that really matters, anyway. What's the point of all the power he wields if he can't use it to be happy .ᐣ Of course, Charlie makes him so, so happy, but even after the pair reconcile, Charlie is a grown woman. She has a happy relationship, wonderful friends and perhaps most of all, she has a cause.

She doesn't have all the time in the world to spend cheering up her lonely father. Living in the Hotel helps, but as soon as she leaves, he finds that empty feeling crawling right back up his spine.

That's exactly where you come in -- a rare blessing in his long, long life. His wonderful partner who came home with a gift wrapped especially for him .ᐣ

The gift has him weak in the knees. It doesn't even matter what's in the box, the fact that you love him enough to think of him even when he's not around means more than you could ever know.

All of your gestures are priceless to him. They're one of the things he loves about you the most.

He goes out of his way to return the thought and care every single time. Please let him spoil you. Let him feel like he's finally using all of that power and money for a good cause because to him .ᐣ There is no better cause. Your smile when he gives you an outfit you'd had your eye on and takes you out to your favorite place to eat is all the thanks he'd ever need.

Your affection has been one of the driving forces that gets him to realize the good in his people he'd been too ignorant to look for was right in front of him all along. If someone as wonderful as you can wind up in Hell, perhaps he's judged his realm too harshly.

You could never, ever be too affectionate to Lucifer and he wants you to know it. Be unapologetically yourself, that's when he loves you best. Never feel like you're smothering him with your love. Your kindness is putting the King back together piece by piece.

HUSK.

Similarly to Lucifer, Husk is a character that could really use your affection. He may not be quite as outwardly sappy about it as the King, but that doesn't make him any less appreciative.

Someone sweet and loving makes for a really good partner for Husk, actually, and on a deeper reason than just the timeless grumpy and sunshine dynamic duo. Someone like you would do good to help bring him out of his shell, bring a little light to his life.

Words of affirmation and acts of service hit him particularly hard. Hearing that he matters from his partner and that he's worth something even now would do wonders for his psyche, as would a simple meaningful gesture, even something as small as cleaning the glasses behind the bar for him. Anything to make his work load just a little bit easier.

Overhearing you tell another resident of the Hotel just how much you adore him may just stop him in his tracks. Not only are you incredibly affectionate to him, you're sharing your love for him with others .ᐣ You care about him that much .ᐣ He's whistling behind the bar counter for the rest of the day and nobody can figure out why Husk of all people is in such good spirits.

One of his favorite things about you is the way you comb through his fur. You're so gentle in the way you touch him for no other reason than not wanting to hurt somebody you love. You work through each snag caught on the brush slowly so as to not hurt him and he is so, so grateful.

Ask him to look up something for you and he's surprised to see his own face staring back at him as your lockscreen. Even moreso when he unlocks your phone and finds the homescreen a picture of the pair of you. Even when you're not meaning to, you're still finding a way to knock the air out of his lungs.

Right before leaving the Hotel for the day you like to stock him up with his favorite snacks behind the bar, something non alcoholic to drink and painkillers if he takes it a little too heavy on the booze.

Husk has a lot harder of a time being so outward with his affections and so replicating it is a little difficult for him, but he will never let you think he doesn't appreciate what you do for him. Just be patient with him.

He will, however, always let you know that your emotions are safe with him, that he will never judge you or your love languages and that the two of you have each other no matter what.

VOX.

To be completely honest .ᐣ I think Vox is a little baffled. How he found himself in a genuine relationship in the first place is still beyond him -- and with someone so loving, at that. Despite the image he tries to sell on social media & television, it's not too hard to figure out that he really isn't that good of a person.

You both are in Hell and most sinners fall for good reason, so despite the fact that making the assumption that a powerful sinner soul being corrupted is easy to make, the large majorities of Hell probably just doesn't have it in them to care.

You're different, though -- you're a shining example of the fact that not all sinners are innately evil, or just too far gone. From the moment Vox had met you, he had seen that you were good.

Why in Hell had you taken a liking to him .ᐣ He's not upset about it per se, just confused. Initially a little frustrated at best. Before you came along, he thought he'd be content, no, happy with the way his life was for eternity.

What didn't he have .ᐣ He had power, he had money, he had allies. What else could he possibly need .ᐣ Relationships were not for him. The strange fling he had going on with Valentino was romance aplenty for him.

That is, of course, until you came along. You had been interested in him from the very start, and you weren't afraid to show it. At first, he saw you as just another sinner to manipulate.

Apparently being kind and loving doesn't equate to a pushover . . . . .ᐣ News to him.

You asked him on a date and were nothing short of wonderful during it, listening to what he had to say with great interest -- but at the same time, you refused to let him speak over you or order you around.

His curiosity is what made him call you back for a second date. And a third, and a fourth.

He's absolutely loathe to admit it, but by the fifth date that excuse grows worn. He's not just curious about you, he's grown used to your presence. Even sort of misses you when you go. How annoying.

Maybe it's refreshing to have someone support him without secondhand motives, or maybe it's an error .ᐣ He usually can't stand being disrespected. Either way, he grows used to having you around, having your support and love.

He will NEVER bring you to the Vee's meetings. Not after he's come to consider you his. He doesn't want to risk Velvette's cocky attitude being contagious and he will absolutely never leave you around Val. He doesn't mind Val being .... the way he is, but to you.ᐣ Absofuckinglutely not.

Having a partner is seeming to do wonderful things for his image, and he comes to love you in his own very Vox-y way, so continue on with your doting and affections. Keep memorizing his favorite drinks and especially don't stop fixing his bowtie and kissing his cheek before he leaves for work.

Congratulations, you've fixed him . . . .ᐣ Kinda sorta .ᐣ Pet trained .ᐣ Who knows. But you're happy and he's happy, and that's all that matters.

I hope these were to your satisfaction .ᐟ I have a hard time imagining any sort of relationship with Vox as being overly healthy because we all saw the kind of person he is. With that in mind, I tried to do my best for a workaround to keep it in line with both the prompt and his character.

Rewriting Charlie: The Princess of Hell

(Using a GIF from the pilot before that’s the only version I like)

I didn't like Charlie in the series not only does she suffer from the terrible conditions of being a female character in a show belonging to Vivziepop but her overall innocence doesn't make sense to me.

I can understand why she would be naive and all that stuff, she probably got heavily sheltered. While we don’t know what her relationship with Lilith is, Lucifer cares enough about her to know that Hell is a dangerous place for a kid. An adult version of her would be aware of Hell being full of dangerous people but would still be vulnerable to extremely good manipulators like Alastor. That’s how her character felt to me when I watched the Pilot.

But then Vivziepop decided to give her a concussion.

It’s not cute or funny, she’s a grown adult and still acts like a child that just freshly got out of the womb. I can understand the optimism, she worked really hard on her project and things are finally starting to set in motion even with a few highs and lows.

But seriously, episode 4 pisses me off, she didn't try to do anything to stop Valentino. Not only did she not listen to Angel Dust who was visibly scared, but she also did nothing when he came out of the dressing room with a black eye. That’s not miscommunication that’s brain damage, the girl was dropped as a baby and her cerebral haemorrhage never stopped.

And? She’s the princess of Hell, surely she realizes that the only reason Angel did that was because Valentino told him to do so, surely she understands that the only way she could assure Angel's safety and make sure he followed through with his redemption was to remove Valentino and possibly the other Vees from the equation? Right?

She could rip the contract! She can’t? Well, get your father involved! I’m pretty sure an angel, fallen or not, can do something about a petty contract between two sinners, otherwise, it’s time to actually explain to us how this whole deal and soul-owning work.

Or better, she could simply kill Val, you know? Because Angel isn’t his only victim and killing him would free countless souls from his abuse. She obliviously cares about other sinners, no matter how despicable they are. Wait, what do you mean she’s against violence?

Girl can clearly fight and get violent if necessary, and the Pilot is still canon. Don’t you dare tell me this specific part of her isn’t cannon anymore, you either make a pilot entirely cannon or you simply remake it to fit your new vision? Unless you wanna confuse people.

If I had no other option to protect a friend, and possibly protect other people, Valentino would have been long gone. What are the other Vees gonna do? Be mad? I’m the Princess of Hell if my hair gets touched, Lucie gonna get angry. And if they touch my friend, well, they are dead.

✦ Meet Lenore, they are non-binary

The relationship between Lilith and Samael is open, they aren't married a concept way too holly for hell. It’s quite rare for the two to find themselves in the same place for more than a couple of hours, let alone spending the whole night alone. That’s why Lenore is a such special case since they actually are Samael’s child.

They were born around the early 17th century and visited Earth all the way through the early 18th century to late 19th century, they’re 413 years old making them the youngest of Lilith’s children.

Lenore was not raised by Lucifer of Lilith but by a group of sinners nicknamed Lilith’s Daughters or Lilins. They are women under Lilith’s jurisdiction. I’ll talk about them when I’ll talk about Lilith.

✦ Personality and goals

I pretty much did my own character at this point since Lenore shares little similarities with Charlie, like very little. Their most prominent default is their superiority complex, Lenore is the only child of Samael which makes them pretty powerful by default. They were seen in high regard by the members of society and each expected them to somehow fully bring Hell into this new marvelous era of prosperity.

After centuries of being constantly told that their ancestry made them superior to most, Lenore eventually started to believe it. They won’t directly tell you that you’re weaker, it’s mostly communicated through their behavior and how condescending they can sound when talking to Imps or Sinners compared to royalties.

They also like to flaunt their knowledge over a vast subject of things like witchcraft, which they learned during their childhood with the Lilins. And while yes, they are pretty smart, they still fell to the massive anti-heaven propaganda, essentially believing that The Trinity is this overly powerful dictator and that Hell is the only way you can get away from his wrath… partially. While they do ask lots of questions, questions they learned to keep to themselves, the Authoritarian God is an idea that was fed to them since childhood. It’s hard to see it in another way. No, Lenore doesn’t care that much about Heaven nor do they care about the sinners of Hellborns.

So why a sanctuary? To separate themselves from their parents of course! Familial bonds in the Dawnherald family are really weak, especially considering they grew up with an absent father. Lilith just allowed them to have a portion of land in Limbo after countless requests.

Lenore wants to build their own legacy and something intently better than the kingdom of their parents, first because they don't want to live in their shadow. The praises coming from being their child comes with the price of always being seen as such, just the offspring of two important figures which they don’t want, and second because the foundation of how Hell works is boring. Fears and hopelessness were how Samael and the Fallen Angels imposed their supremacy onto the inferior who were the sinners, while it worked and kept working, Lenore with their ego felt like they could control the population better by weaponizing something rare in Hell, kindness.

In the sinners’ eyes, Heaven abandoned them, Hell is merciless to the weak and there’s Lenore. The one that actually cares, the one that feeds and protects them, their savior. Even if they never see the pearly gate, they sure can feel safe in this false Haven provided by them, how benevolent.

They created a whole persona to hide their true intention, voluntarily creating this reputation of being an inexperienced princet to be able to manipulate gullible people with more efficiency. The more people would underestimate them the more convenient it is for them. The sanctuary is here to test multiple of Lenore’s ideas on how they could change rulership in Hell for the better.

“Everything for the people nothing by the people.”

This is the core of how their sanctuary function, you will get to the safety of a shelter, food, and basic civil rights as long as you obey. This is not a utopia but what Hell has the best to offer, sinners always try to find better options to survive, and the sanctuary just happens to be that. All that is asked from them is obedience and bringing something useful to the community.

This refusal to give any form of agency to their protégé stems again from their Pride and desire to control everything, they simply cannot see themselves outside of a leadership role.

Everyone in Hell sees this as a temporary means, an endeavor they would immediately stop the second they are promoted to be more active in Hell’s politics. Hell thrived with the chaos that occurred because of the harsh life conditions, suddenly changing the system just because one of Lilith’s spawns is pretending to have a ‘better alternative’ would be ridiculous. It is clear that most people see their sanctuary on a surface level and mostly see it as this place where sinners and others are fully free of their movements.

✦ Family

Sheesh! That’s not really a sensitive subject since their interaction with their parents is almost non-existent. Their siblings also seem to not want to have anything to do with them, the feeling is shared.

They never saw Samael in person but they are mostly curious about him. They only know him through history books telling the Tale of this ancient Morningstar finally realizing his self-worth and fighting against the tyranny of the Trinity. It’s easy to pick up the fact that their father holds dear his self-importance, they relate, in a way, but their interest doesn’t go beyond a historian being curious about an unknown historical figure. They never met him, it’s better to not make assumptions.

One question still lingers in their mind… what could drive such a well-respected being to turn away from The Trinity in such drastic ways? The point of dictatorship is to make sure everyone is perfectly indoctrinated into the regime, how did their father, after millennia of servitude randomly pick up on this? These are obliviously questions that they shouldn’t ask and, for the sake of maintaining appearance, it’s best to search the response on their own. At best, they’ll be totally reasonable answers, at worst they’ll find something that they were not meant to see.

Ah, Mother Lilith, they have seen her in person and often have little weekends with her. A charming individual, indeed, they would love her even more if it wasn't for being constantly told to give up on their silly little games with sinners. While they did make up a naive persona for the rest of Hell to be fooled, the fact that their own mother doesn’t take them seriously is appalling to witness.

Lilith is the active ruler of Hell with a handful amount of right-hand men/women if it wasn’t for their pride Lenore would have begged to be put in a position that would allow her to change Hell’s policy. Something they always manage to bring up, even during eventful tea times, those are rare their mother is always busy. The woman is still fun to converse with as she holds wisdom from more than 10 centuries of existence, it’s always useful.

✦ Details

✧ The reason why Lenore doesn’t have a much more important roles in Hell’s hierarchy is because they are young by Hell’s standard.

✧ Right now, Lenore isn’t trying to form any meaningful relationship, they’ll end up with Vaga nonetheless. I did not think of a specific sexuality for them honestly so feel free to fill the void with your headcannon if you want.

✧ Lenore’s a witch, while I’m probably going to go on a magical fantasies type of witchcraft, I’ll still have a few actual things that are actually practiced by actual witches. Plus there are a few practices that can be useful for the story.

✧ Them finding out about redemption and even wanting to do it in the first place is established much later.

BUT!!!! YOU WILL FIND OUT THAT THIS SHITHEAD COMING BACK IS ACTUALLY MORE PLAUSIBLE THAN YOU THINK! (W.O.W!!!!)

I actually also have some pretty solid theories about season 2 in here so be warned.

VIVZIEPOP MADE A COUPLE STATEMENTS THAT COULD BE GAME-CHANGING AND WON'T LEAVE US GRASPING AT STRAWS ANYMORE. I'LL DISCUSS EVERY GROUND THERE IS TO COVER AND EVERY COPIUM THERE IS TO INHALE, AT THE MOMENT!! (Might update this or make a new post if more comes out)

Ok so to start this off, don't be put off by this person's perspective, just listen to me. Vivzie talked to this fan at megacon and got asked if Adam was still alive, all she said was "he lives on in a way", I'm gonna take my delulu aside and the most pessimistic guess would be that someone (pfff lute obviously)avenges him or that his death has an everlasting impact that changes the story, BUT we already got that made clear, like that was pretty obvious already.

(It's made obvious by this scene, Adam's death created a whole other big problem)

(Unless what she means by it is that his death is honored? Like maybe we get to delve deeper into his history, but again i dont think so) SO I DONT THINK THATS IT, I feel like if it was either of the ones I mentioned she would just say "Nope, he's deceased BUT he lives on in a way" But ALL she said was "He lives on in a way" which is very different, although it could be she expressed herself badly or the person writing the tweet didn't quote it word for word. But taking it in the literal sense, this might be pretty much confirmation he lives. There's a way he lives right? So considering that.... could it be that after Lute took his halo,(which was also broken which often renders an angel as "fallen" by default) and left his body there, he just... like woke up as a sinner? Yes yes, I know everyone's been talking only about that, I'm not giving any groundbreaking revelations but I'm just saying that there's alot of options that open up to that possibility. Or who knows! What if he actually doesn't get reincarnated? What if he just wakes up with no halo, so no place to come back to or what if the ever-absent God takes notice of his death and fixes up his first loyal creation?

Besides that if they THINK Adam is dead, (hesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdeadhesnotdead)

They make these huge ass changes in tactics, and need to find another way to deal with what Charlie is doing; IF Adam actually becomes a sinner, and his life is super important to heaven... with evidence that sinners can now be redeemed... What if people like LUTE, or LILITH actually become allies of the hotel in an effort to redeem him? He WAS God's first, most loyal and favorite creation, HELL THE REASON HE WAS ALLOWED TO DO WHATEVER HE WANTED AND WAS BASICALLY IMMUNE TO THE LAW IN HEAVEN IS BECAUSE OF HOW MANY PRIVILEGES HE HAS, I don't think God would be too pleased with his soul dissipating or whatever the fuck. That might actually be a plot point, he's way too important to just be killed off like this, am I the only one who got that impression? He's the FIRST MAN, first man, the first man being THE FIRST TO DIE IN THIS SHOW IS ABSOLUTELY MIND-FUCKING AND ALSO A CRUEL JOKE anditskindafunny OF FATE FOR HIM.

Something else I want to add is that my personal take on it is that if I learned anything about this show, Lilith will show up in the next season and pretend to be an ally to the hotel, she will pretend to support Charlie and basing this off the theory that Alastor made a deal with Lilith to keep her daughter safe, he failed to meet the end of his deal. So now she's coming to take matters into her own hands after all these pesky men failed, (ermmm girlboss!!) Stop, and manipulate everyone in the hotel into giving up on the idea. Considering how she deliberately kept Charlie away from her dad her whole life, there's gonna be a whole lot of family drama. And we might see Alastor lose his shit for good. Still tryna figure out wtf does "Lilith thrived and empowered demonkind with her voice" if her voice is that powerful, and her words are just as powerful, we're gonna get 1. FIRE ASS SONGS 2. Mother Gothel ass song with Charlie, I just know it holy shit. Not to mention that they actually don't know that Sir Pentious went to heaven, Lilith definetely will know and won't tell anyone. Lucifer will definetely be the one to step up in the situation yet again. Anyway after I yapped my heart out about what I think will happen in this show, I just wanna say one thing.

There is this DUMBASS thing everyone in the fandom is talking about when someone says Adam is gonna be reborn as a sinner. Most of these people say that the show explicitly stated that Angelic metal SPECIFICALLY and just if it's metal, it can castrate a soul or whatever. Which is literally NOT true, at no point was it established that Angelic steel was the only thing able to exorcise demons. You really need just a bit of common sense to come to this conclusion, what makes the weapons dangerous for demons and angels isn't that they're steel specifically. It's that they're ANGELIC guys.. Have y'all seen Helluva boss at all?

There are blessed ropes, Angelic guns, Angelic bullets. These are just items that replicate the power of Holy magic. A PURE,HUGE, HOLY BEAM of unfiltered angelic power is not stronger than a little dagger infused with a fraction of it? Not only does that not make sense from the show's lore perspective, but using common SENSE that sounds even dumber. This is the only argument I can completely scratch off the lists of why Adam can't come back, and it's the most popular one...

Man you know what guys, after he died, whether he comes back or not, he's never gonna be the same again I just can't picture it. One small little theory floating in my mind was that, what if the news of Adam being dead could result in some powerful overlord or even A SIN we've never seen or know the power of, revive him and have him work under them? Even if he actually comes back as a sinner, this little theory I haven't brainstormed much about could be explored.

But y'all know what? Let's say he's dead okay? Let's say he's dead dead, then what did they do with his BODY? I didn't see anyone dig him a grave, yet he died on the hotel, I didn't see anyone even move his body after the angels left. And we know damn well they didn't take him, that's too much of a big detail to leave it out unless they REALLY screwed up with the writing and animation direction in the rush to have the serie come out, but the animation has always been so detailed with almost unnecessary background details. I think they left it out intentionally to have that worked out in season 2, heard some people say it could be they just built the hotel over his body? But I doubt it. If so maybe he could become part of the hotel or just condemned to never leave the hotel in a.... a... ghooooost.... like form...?(Massive amounts of copium). Someone could argue his body just dissolved or something but 1. That makes no sense pookie 2. In the first episode they found the body of the dead exorcist long after it died, and we definetely know atleast it's head was still perfectly intact by episode 3. AND i also went back to check, after Lute takes the Halo they purposefully never show Adam's body, ONCE. Not once, not even as they show all the corpses on the ground as the exorcists depart. So that couldn't be it, one thing we know for sure is that Vivzie is definetely letting on there's something more to his death she doesn't want to reveal yet. It could be she's doing that just to leave it ambiguous to delusional theorists like myself,,,,,since my type of stupid is usually the kind of idiocy infectious enough to rot everyone's brain into pointless speculation based on minor details. Which definetely sells the show better AND keeps discourse and attention alive till more is fed to us, which in that case, very effective marketing strategy at the cost of everyone's mental health Viv! What happened if the collector hurts themselves with their own power? How would the Overlords react?

A question I have is if that is even possible.

Why I say that is because the only way to hurt the Collector/you or momentarily kill you is by light and holy-based powers. So whatever powers Heaven and heavenly beings use. While you have a bit of light and holy powers, it's only healing. Just as Trick has a bit of shadow and curse powers, but it's only destruction.

I'm saying 'momentary kill' because you and Trick can only be killed by each other, then one follows after the other. Then it takes time for you two to be 'resurrected' in some sense. For example, in the series, you were killed by Trick before the events of Hazbin Hotel therefore the series as well. Hence your disappearance (and Alastor's so he can search for you), as well as Trick (not that they were mentioned). But you made a quicker recovery than Trick because they're the killer. If the roles were reversed, then you'd be the one recovering longer.

I don't see how you can hurt yourself with healing magic. Nor would anyone know you're killed by Trick and vice versa. Plus, by default, you can't hurt yourself with your own powers. You'd just absorb the power you cast.

So I'll change the question a bit.

What happens if the Overlords knew you disappeared without a trace? (think of this as what they did before your return in the series)

Zestial — Feels more responsibility when you're gone. Naturally, he knows you'll return, but he thinks about what to do in your absence. The collection you behave themselves because you are in Hell, somewhere; he knows the moment you're gone, some will be more lenient and chill - in a bad way. So as the first and oldest, he sees himself to keep the collection in one piece as much as he can so you won't be disappointed when you return.

Carmilla — Panic. Red alarms. As stable as her place is within your collection, she's quite on edge most of the time. She holds Overlord meetings in an attempt to get some information about your disappearance, but when Alastor disappears alongside you, then she's questioning. Her business does expand to other Rings, but it wasn't like she could get much information on your whereabouts cause the Hellborns are all surprisingly loyal and tightlipped about you.

Rosie — Is not concerned in the least bit. She also knows you'll return because Hell was your home, in some sense. It's a shame that she can't have tea parties with you and gossip chats, but she'll patiently wait for your return and catch up on everything with you. (those gifts she has during the meeting? Yeah, she makes and perfects her gifts for you every so often in case you are back)

Zeezi — She knows if anything, it could be a test to see if she lightens up. After what you put her through, she is dead set on keeping her place in your collection and never disappointing you. Even when you're gone for who knows how long. She believes you'll be back someday and work towards that. Continue to grow and advance as you taught and showed her. She manages her domains and souls well.

Alastor — No questions asked. You all saw what Alastor did. He took 7 years to search for you before reappearing and aligning with royalty because that was his last chance. He doesn't want help when it concerns you, because he wants to show you he's capable. But in this case, he's desperate too. So he'll take what he can get. If helping Charlie with her silly hotel and dreams can lead him to you, he'll do it.

Vox — Yeah, he's definitely setting a bunch of surveillance to search for you. He's not like Alastor; he won't go out of his way to look for you because he thinks keeping his reputation is more important than looking and finding you. His way of thinking would be something like, once you return, he can show his fame and growth to you, and then he'll be praised. He just doesn't realize that in lacking guidance and your watchful gaze, he does everything wrong. Not that he'll listen to reason.

Valentino — You think he cares? Ha! He's more relaxed when he knows you're not around and becomes more brazen in his actions. Yes, he knows there's a higher power. But by knowing it's not the King, Queen, and Princess of Hell, and the powerhouse is gone? He is like a loose cannon, more so than the other two in his group.

Velvette — Also another one that won't actively search for you. She's more relaxed but more so in the sense that her seniors in the collection can't push her around and she can act however way she pleases. Deep down, she wants what the seniors have, that connection and bond they share with you. It's not like she'll talk with the other Overlords all sappy because it wasn't the image she painted herself in, so she just waits around and keeps an eye out for any news of your return.

So- Steven Universe Movie x Hazbin Hotel. All of them have just had their memories wiped, their 'default' personalities reset, and not having any idea who they once were. you get to really see what each character would have been like had they not faced whatever horrible thing landed them in Hell to begin with.

Going through that song in particular made me really think, guys. Hear me out.

Lucifer is Rose/Pink in this, so he wouldn't really be there.

Obv Charlie takes her rightful place as Steven, as she is literally, in almost all fucking ways, Adult Demon Steven Universe. Take out the aliens and add in the bible and you got Charlie Morningstar

Lilith is Pearl- She fell in love with the angel that took a liking to her, dedicating everything about her existence to Lucifer. Even when it came to giving up everything, she did it for him. Reset, she's just as dedicated but has no one to give that dedication to. Until...

Yes, ALASTOR HAS TO BE GREG. Lilith may have come from Eden with Lucifer, by his side from the very beginning, but after all those years, I never thought I'd lose... Also, the whole 'pearl latching on to greg as her new diamond' thing makes that EXTRA hilarious. Charlie's gonna be all "Mom, don't you recognize them? Don't you recognize me?" Lilith's overly helpful ass is gonna be like "Hmmmm... Well I certainly recognize my Um Radio Demon!" And Al just, "...Oh boy."

Angel is Ruby, even if he hadn't been raised in the mafia, I'd like to think that Angel would be a solid badass mf either way, dedicated to protecting what he cares about.

Husk is Sapphire, ever think that maybe the reason the oddly wise bartender always seems to know everything isn't because he's a bartender? Uh oh, secret's out, Husky. (not to mention the idea of Huskerdust 'isn't it love' is killing me)

Niffty is Amethyst- except an amethyst is big, and strong... this one is not the best example, something is clearly wrong! (im sorry i have no self control). anyway yall can't tell me that cute little reset 'who am i? whats going on? idk, lemme just copy this guy over here' Niffty wouldn't be the best fucking thing

Now, I don't think it even needs saying that Sir Pentious needs to be Peridot, if you show me both of their pictures I will say 'that's the same picture'

And that means Cherri takes her role as Lapis, which I fuckin adore

As much as I'd like to make Vaggie be Connie, Connie is entirely absent the whole movie lmao and I also think that Bismuth is a damn good gem for Vaggie anyway. Bold, determined, has a deadly hatred of the place she came from and will do anything to defend her new home (gay as shit)

And for spinel, I'm not 100% sure. I'm thinking it could be an adamsapple situation where Adam was left in Eden, forever waiting for Lucifer to return despite the fact that he's essentially dead to the rest of Heaven. once he finds out about Lucifer having made a life for himself in Hell, he goes to take out his jealousy on Charlie and the others. and when he's reset he goes back to a silly, fun loving innocent guy that wants nothing but to make others happy.

Hazbin hotel could learn from AHS freakshow

Look at their similarities and see where one used these factors and the other has yet to.

*spoilers*

American horror story freak show had a leading lady who collected unusual and disadvantaged individuals for her circus during a post depression era where life was tough.

She was a mysterious person who insisted that those of her circus were her people.

She was a keen performer.

Sound familiar?

We learnt about the individuals of AHS, we get to see that there is life outside of the circus for some, the ringleader even decided one person should be with their family, the circus is dated, it's not for everyone and won't last.

There is a lot to learn about the sinners of hazbin, their goals, their time as a sinner, their life as humans etc. There are a lot of them. The hotel isn't going anywhere.

A chosen one would get to 'move on and up' when a certian spirit visited to bring them over to his side, having observed them then given them the chance to tell their story and the option to join him.

Since the hazbin plot has shifted to those of heaven being fearful of hell toppling this being the reason for the exterminations, there's easily room for heaven to take those from hell, they could specifically cherry pick from Charlie's hotel.

Freak show served as a direct prequel to AHS asylum, which featured an angel, demon and alien, all interfering with the trouble to misunderstood people who find themselves in the asylum.

The demon was the most active figure out of the three who constantly served to antagonistic, the angel was all business and impartial, which was irritating to the demon character who would bicker at it, then the 'alien' was an unknown entity neither of them acknowledged.

So a similar dynamic of angles and demons not being on the same page and apparently knowing about as much of those unseen as we do. All were there for 'people'.

Charlie has met angel adversaries and a potential ally, yet she need help to get into heaven for a meeting however angel's don't seem to have issues, or as many, getting into hell. Since the angels of AHS could place themselves amongst humans and the demons who possessed them, Charlie could easily have angel visitors.

She learnt that those of heaven aren't actually sure what the requirements to get in are and we swiftly moved on. Is she interested in going above the angels heads?

Charlie learnt that sinners are simply just losers, yet what was her view on that?

What are Charlie's viewpoints on humans becoming sinners in the first place?

Since little guys like Blitzø, Verosika and Barbie can travel to earth and pretty much contribute to the sinners epidemic, wouldn't such characters be addressed as a problem who needs stopping? There has to have been countless who came before them.

Lastly, we don't have a default nice person leading the operation in AHS, she is open to leaving it all behind, she is eager to be the star of the show and her motives are questionable, it's hard to tell how much she actually likes those she cares for and where she objectives and exploits them, she comes across envious at times and it's not all too unfair to speculate that she scouts those who are clearly and known to be different while successfully hiding her own difference as a way of boosting her own confidence.

Still, she is giving them a chance where others wouldn't and building a community where they are welcome. Her sadness is well concealed and she has the getup and go to fight for what she wants.

Charlie is that default nice character who stands among those in her hotel, looks smiley and approachable but simply because there's no apparent hostility we are lead to believe that she likes everyone, even though there's also little engagement of any kind within her group, we simply know her as nice, happy and doesn't give things much though.

Charlie has selected a famous figure to be her project for rehabilitation to heaven, she has achieved this by bribery and hope his people skills will be enough to change the world and move him from hell to heaven. Charlie clearly has her sights set and doesn't notice anyone else worthy of her agenda, not the character who we watch join her side who has come a long way, nor her own hard working girlfriend whose backstory she doesn't know after years. The tone goes that these aren't because Charlie is opportunistic or shallow, she's just a bit ditzy, she's fun and positive and needs her hand holding. Even pilot Charlie seemed more a hustler and felt defeated at times.

adegoke: movement

so adegoke's character playlist actually has a different hozier song on it (from eden) which i always imagined to be more from MC's perspective. 

for adegoke, i love the idea of romance like the push and pull of the ocean currents, waves meeting and breaking, a rhythm. and movement just gives me that, i guess! adegoke is also a deeply creative person and movement really gives the vibe of the lover as an inspiration, a muse, which i think would be something that he would totally relate to. as a writer, love is at the core of his work - even when it isn't the subject it is what he finds grounding. 

adegoke also loves to dance (and is an excellent dancer) so that particular expression feels so appropriate. 

arthur: angel of small death and the codeine scene 

this one is quite literal, i guess - arthur is a mean little weasel and it can be a challenge to find the sweetness in him. i think arthur defaults to an "i can make them worse" approach to romance which i think this sort of speaks to.

also his family are terrible and he often feels like a bit of a stray, i think. 

atticus: NFWMB

this one has been pulled straight from his character playlist because its just So ???????? musically it just reminds me of him but i know nothing about music so i have no idea how to articulate it - the sort of unassuming and almost casual vibe contrasted with the utter devotion in the lyrics. the emotional intensity comes from the lack of fanfare, you know?

also like. atticus loves a hair pull, sort of sexy possessive vibes and a rhetorical question so the "ain't you my baby" really hits on that level as well lmaooo 

avery: it will come back

this is another one that is already on avery's character playlist hahaha what can i say i'm a hozier bitch!

this choice is really about avery's complicated relationship with softness and intimacy, especially in a romance with MC which is Forbidden when she places such an emphasis on her professionalism. the way that she partitions different parts of her life is something of a defense for her after her difficult experiences in medicine - she's learned the hard way, she knows better, and yet she just can't help herself. i always think of avery's romance as being like a dam bursting; there's nothing for a long time until a little crack forms and then the dam breaks and everything falls apart. once she has a taste she can't be satiated, which i think this song speaks to. 

charlie - sunlight

he just can't keep away, even knowing how totally disastrous it will probably be for him, but he continues on gladly because he thinks that being that close to the sun will feel worth it even after it's burned him. he's 'death trap clad happily'. 

ellis - almost (sweet music) 

i did a deep dive into ellis' who playlist on patreon way back when and (surprise surprise) this was one of the songs that features on their playlist. this was actually one that i didn't say too much about because its just a bop, you know??? there's the lyrics about their foolish heart, but otherwise this song just screams ellis at me and i never really know why its just a warm fuzzy good vibe and that's them all over. 

florrie - take me to church 

a song thats an endictment of catholicism And fucking???? all the ingredients to make up a solid florrie song. there are a few lines that give me big florrie energy (she's the giggle at the funeral / knows everybody's disapproval / my lover's the sunlight / get something shiny) but in general i imagine florrie would fare well being worshipped, i think that's a great dynamic for her, so this is reflective of that. 

griffin - someone new 

i don't think this one really needs much explanation - griffin falls fast and hard and often. he's my romeo, and every bit as naive.

beyond that, i do think that griff is someone who doesn't believe there's a Right Way to go about things and he's quite happy to muddle through life and always seems to land on his feet - a great person to help someone really uptight unwind hahaha 

imogen - my love will never die 

of all the characters, imogen is the one who is most likely to get on her knees and beg someone to love her. 

also she loves flowers 💐 

nyra - to be alone 

this one is also pretty literal lmao i am many things but i am Not a deep thinker. she doesn't love crowds, and i think the thing that nyra would value most in a partner is having someone that she can be alone with, if that makes sense? one of those special people that you can hang out with and still have the regenerative effect of alone time. 

when we meet nyra in body count she's in the midst of a really hard time in her life - we're at a real low point for her. she doesn't really feel like a person, she feels like a zombie dragging herself from one day to the next. she needs to work through that on her own (falling in love doesn't Magically Fix People), but i think that her relationship with MC would give her a few little sparking reminders to help guide her on her way. 

rowan - jackie and wilson 

again soz this is on her character playlist hahaha! this is an absolute rowan anthem for me - she is my roman candle of the wild. i mean obviously this song is so fun and that is Very Rowan, but the "better yet, she wouldn't care" particularly speaks to me. rowan is very much someone who can meet people where they're at with grace and understanding and help to build them up. 

syd - work song 

syd was the hardest person to match a song with, weirdly, but it was the second verse that really cinched it (and I was burnin' up a fever / i didn't care much how long i lived / but i swear i thought i dreamed her / she never asked me once about the wrong i did). syd is a hard person to Date because they are a fuck up! they don't always get things right or know the right things to say or make the right gesture. that said, if someone can work through the initial challenges with them, they would be rewarded with endless devotion (albeit expressed in their own funny little way). 

vinh - in a week 

lying down and dying together in a field to be eaten by animals is peak romance to vinh lmao. in general, i think once they find Their Person it will be someone that they can feel at home and happy with regardless of the situation, and there isn't much that they wouldn't be willing to endure as long as they had that.

“...Hello, Mr. D'varaas?”

“Oh! Miss Down!” He seemed surprised to hear from me. “How can I help you?”

“I'm interested in your offer.” I put my Glass on speakerphone as i packed what few belongings I had left. “I want to join Viridian.”

“That's fantastic! Let me… let me see…” Some shuffling and crackling was heard over the speaker. “We're going to be doing some reorganizing of team members starting today… so by default you'll be added to the newest team. Which means…”

I allowed him to deliberate as I slipped on my shirt. 

“...Looks like Zulu-Zulu is your team. It’s a team of two, including yourself.”

“Seems pretty small for a giant corporation.” I found this weird, but whatever.

“Well, many of our teams are no larger than six. Two is not as uncommon as you'd think! It's a big universe out there, after all… launching giant ships full of crewmates tends to be difficult to keep track of.”

More like they don't need to worry about losing a team of two to the relentless void. But he and I both knew they would never say it out loud.

“I don't really care.” My bag was ready, and I picked up my Glass again, taking it off speakerphone. “Whatever you've got, I can take it.”

“Love to hear it, Sam. I'll be dropping the coordinates for Base Zulu for you. Take a ride out there, and we'll take care of the rest.”

And so began the adventure of a lifetime… all because of a single man's business card.

“BASE. ZULU. NINE. ONE.”

The speaker of the autoship blared out as myself and other newbies crawled off of it in one big pack. I glanced around at the inner machinations of Base Zulu, finding it pretty clean and… very green. Green accent lines marked the green signs that led to a variety of places. Some little shops for food and snacks, souvenirs… it reminded me of the airports back on Earth. Except this place had cheaper shit.

The Zulu gate was mine, being a Z-Z crewmate. I passed by many other gates, with newbies meeting and greeting their own crews… Alpha… Charlie… Mike…

Of course, with the gates being alphabetical, Zulu was last. I approached it finally, after walking for at least ten minutes, and found quite the surprise waiting for me.

Inside the gate was a mini Striker class ship… and that doctor from before. That Veth lady… oh man.

“...Uh…” I made my presence known as I approached the gate. The doctor seemed startled.

“Oh! Sam!” She let out a nervous laugh. “Wh-what are you doing here?”

“This is the Zulu gate, right?” I checked one more time. Yes, it was correct.

“It is, but… you work for Viridian?”

“I do now.”

“Huh…” Veth chuckled quietly. She seemed just as weirded out by the coincidence as I was. But she tried not to make it personal. “Well, that's fine then. As long as you're feeling good enough to travel.”

“Fine as wine, baby.” I set my things down into the Striker. “Usually I pilot my own ship, which was left behind in the wreck, I think.”

“Oh, yes… totalled.” The doctor made a somber face, nodding at the fact.

“Hey, at least these guys pay me.” Silver linings were not my forte… I dearly missed that hunk of junk. But this one will have to do.

We set up our gear, trying on our suits next. 

“Radio check.” I transmitted to Veth. But then I heard several voices tell me to stop.

“Heh… that's the…” Veth recalibrated my radio for me. She was… awfully close… I glanced away, because I couldn't just keep staring at her like that. 

“Okay, done. Radio check!” It was just her voice now, as the other channel checked everything else in probably a huge vicinity.

“Check.” I gave her a thumbs-up.

“So, let me ask you,” Veth slid her helmet back off, her antennae twitching as they were freed from their prison. “What kinds of work did you do before?”

“Oh, all kinds of shit.” I fumbled around my belt for my journal. “Check it.”

I handed her the journal, and she flipped through it, her eyes growing wider and more starstruck. I had a pretty impressive repertoire of sketches from my time visiting random planets. My sketches were scenes of various places, from ruins to the giant flora I often found.

“These… these are beautiful!” Veth looked up at me with a big smile. 

“I… it's nothing, really…” I couldn't keep looking at her. It was too embarrassing.

“Oh, come on. Your human is showing.”

“Heh…” I couldn't stifle my laugh. I collected my journal from her, shoving its well-worn cover into my bag.

I found some weaponry on the wall next. “You know how to shoot a gun, Doc?”

“Technically yes, but actually no.” Veth shuffled in her spot. “I, um… well, there's the oath, for one… and I've never fired at a living being before.”

“Well, you might have to.” I found a solid pistol, and tucked it away into my belt. “How about knives or something?”

“The best I've done is self-defense classes.”

“Good enough. Guess I'll have to carry your ass through the ruins we find.” I meant this as a joke, but when I said it out loud, once again a faint shade of red graced my face as embarrassment set in.

Thankfully, she didn't notice. Too busy counting some medical items. “I sure hope not!”

“Eh… I trust that you can handle yourself.”

“Good! Because I can.”

“Alright.”

We finished our final checks, and the announcement for Zulu-Zulu's departure rang out among others. I looked to Veth, giving her a nod. “So who's flying?”

“You can do it this time! Show me what you've got!” She strapped herself into the seat next to the pilot’s seat.

“You got it.” 

I strapped in next, scanning the checklist for liftoff, then sealed all entrances and started the engine. It rumbled and grumbled as we departed, smooth as butter.

“We've got some time until our first assignment…” Veth checked her tablet for upcoming tasks. “So I guess we can just hang out for a bit.”

“Fine by me.”

I would be lying if I tried to say I wasn't excited about this new job. Fresh prospects, new opportunities to explore. And I figured I could get to know this alien partner of mine a little better with time…

Guess we'll see how this goes.

"Charlie X, did have a nice take on how being The Nice Guy to a girl does NOT entitle you to a relationship, which since this was made in the 60’s is nice to see, and the ending did make me almost feel bad for the villain. Almost."

Rewatch Thoughts

Not gonna lie, I hadn't really been looking forward to this one. I gave it a pretty middle rating (3.5/5) in the watchthrough... and for Heaven's sake, I couldn't remember why. I don't remember hating the episode, but I certainly couldn't remember much of anything worth liking, aside from Kirk telling Charlie that he's not entitled to a woman just because he likes them. I guess I was impressed to see a 60's show say that? IDK. I was thinking that I had been too generous, but did the rewatch change that?

The first thing that came to my mind when I first read the summary was an episode of The Twilight Zone titled It's A Good Life. I imagine that most have heard of it, but if you haven't, it's about a six-year-old kid with God-like powers who terrorizes his town into obeying him and always being happy. If you don't... well, it doesn't end well. Now mind you, Charlie is older and has a bit more of an excuse for why he acts like he does, but yeah... this is what happens when you let little Anthony Fremont reach adolescence. Speaking of The Twilight Zone, Shatner was actually the main character in the episode Nightmare at 20,000 Feet and BOY is that something... anyway, back on topic!

So like I said, I went in fully expecting to dislike it and give it a lower rating when I put it on the 10 scale over the 5 scale. But after watching it again? I think I realize why I gave it a generous rating. It's one of those episodes that is interesting to actually watch, but not one you actually think about until you go back to it. There is actually a lot of good material here, even a bit of continuity, and it's actually a bit more complex when you take later canon into account. So let's go ahead and break it down.

Let's start with Charlie Evans. He's a one-shot character, and actually characterized pretty well IMO. He's a seventeen-year-old who has been isolated from humans for most of his life and, as we find out, adopted by aliens who don't understand concepts like 'love'. He's awkward, temperamental, and doesn't understand social cues or customs, as you'd expect from a teenager and especially one who grew up as he did. It really sucks that they don't have a proper counselor in this episode, cause Charlie desperately needed one. That might have helped prevent his power trip... then again, with how unstable he was, he may not have gotten the help extensively enough to prevent it. Who knows?

It's easy to pity the kid at first. He doesn't seem bad, just very troubled and out of place. Even ignoring his circumstances, that's normal for a teenager. But of course, most teenagers don't have realty warping powers like he does. As such, the more the episode goes on, the more Charlie starts to lose it. He's confused and frustrated without any coping skills to help him, so he resorts to using his powers to get his way. Someone laughs at him? He makes them disappear. He's worried that the crew can hurt him? The phasers vanish. He doesn't like a Yeoman because he likes Rand? Now she's a lizard. Why? Because that's all he knows to do, so that's what he defaults to.

You pity him at first, but that can only go so far. He starts to go on a power trip that only gets worst when Rand rejects his 'gentle' advances. This coming after she tried several times to explain to him that she isn't interested nicely. Honestly, you ever think about how Rand's time on the Enterprise REALLY sucked? First there was The Enemy Within, an event that she outright references to Kirk when telling him that she may be driven to hurt Charlie if he doesn't stop. That's noticeably when Kirk starts to take her concerns a bit more seriously... not as much as he should have IMO considering that that last time was him, but it's still worth noting. As I was saying though, combined all that with later episodes like Miri and... yeah as much as it sucks her being dropped, if she left the Enterprise I do NOT blame her. She really deserved a LOT better, but that's a rant for another day.

After Rand stands her ground, even turning the intercom on so that she could have help and being forced to get physical, Charlie is so angry he makes her vanish. But of course it's her fault. He loved her, he was nice and gentle with her, but she still rejected him. Unlike The Enemy Within where they mishandled this subject horribly, this episode actually makes it clear that this is NOT okay. You're not entitled to someone just because you like them, and just being nice doesn't mean you are owed their love either. In fact, it's after he gets rid of Rand that Charlie becomes fully unstable and whatever sympathy you had for the kid goes right out the window even within the episode itself. For a 60's show that just had one of their worst treatments of a female character two episodes ago, this is very much welcome to see.

At the end when Charlie's about to kill Kirk however, the Thasian's return. That's when you feel at least a pinch of pity again. Whatever life with them was life, Charlie is terrified of it and wants to stay on the Enterprise. That's right, he resorts to begging the people he tormented, including Rand when she's restored, to help him. Kirk, being a good guy at the end of the day, even tries to reason to make that happen... but it does nothing. We saw how Charlie reacted, and chances are all it would take is one person making him upset in a human colony to cause who knows what to happen. You feel bad for the terrified teenager as he begs and pleads to not go back, but at the same time he brought all of it onto himself, so it's hard to feel anything more than just pity. Could he have been better if given the time and care? Maybe, but maybe not. I think that the utterly haunting ending where everyone is just stunned says it all.

Then we go to Kirk. This episode is a LOT more fun to look at if you've seen the films and know that Kirk actually does have a son that he's never seen, let alone been involved in raising. It's also hilarious how McCoy, who actually has a kid that as far as we know he was involved in raising up to a point, passes the job onto Kirk, half cause he was freaked out by Charlie and half probably because he plain doesn't want to do it. But for Kirk, that makes it all the more awkward, cause Heaven knows that he has no idea what he's doing. Like I said, he doesn't handle guiding Charlie particularly well, though he is at least trying. Like when he tries to give Charlie The Talk and is clearly dreading every single second of it, even telling him to talk to McCoy for the ugh... biological parts of it? That is underrated comedy at it's finest XD

Like I said, Kirk at least tries to help the kid. He himself didn't exactly have the most normal childhood, especially if you take Tarsus IV into account. He can probably understand Charlie's confusion and frustration, at least to an extent. Enough that he does legitimately try to help the kid. He tries to give him advice. He tries to teach him some self-defense... which probably wasn't the best route but still. He's perfectly affable to the kid until he starts harming his crew, and even then only throws any sense of reason out the window when Charlie electrocutes Uhura and forces Spock into talking gibberish. Hell at the end, when Charlie is practically begging for his life, he has every reason to just let the Thasians take him away without any fuss. But Kirk still tries to convince them to let him stay because of how terrified the kid is. It doesn't work and Kirk acquiesces in the end, but it still shows that despite everything, he was still willing to try and help what he saw as a very troubled teenager.

Kirk is the type of character who may not always know what he's doing, but he'll try nonetheless. He doesn't want to be any sort of father figure. He already has his plate filled enough as the captain and add that to the whole situation regarding his own son and Carol, it probably makes him uncomfortable. But since Charlie at first looks up to him, he sucks it up and tries to help, especially once Rand brings up her concerns. But really, as I said, what Charlie needed was a counselor. Ironically, McCoy may have been the most qualified in this scenario, but again he ain't having any of it XD But it's nice to see this side of Kirk. He's less of a Captain and more reluctant parent until Charlie endangers his crew and thus Captain Mode is activated. It just lets us see a bit more of an awkward yet genuine side to him that we haven't had to this point, and I appreciate it.

There's also a lot of nice little moments. Spock and McCoy acting like an old married couple, with Kirk utterly sick of it. Uhura and Spock's little concert. Seriously, I kind of like how Spock was a bit more expressive in the early episodes, wish we'd gotten more scenes like that. As I said, Kirk's utter dread and awkwardness giving Charlie The Talk is freakin' comedy gold. It's overall a good episode. IDK why I made myself dread it so much going in. It's not a top-tier episode by any means, and it isn't one that I would put on regularly. But overall, it's fine. It has good moments and has some awkwardness, but nothing to drag it down. I guess I just needed to look at it again to remember why I gave my initial rating, haha.

Hazbin hotel x FNAF Fanfic (Also with a bit of helluva boss 🤭)

This is my first Hazbin fanfic and it was originally posted on ao3,, so maybe Tumblr will enjoy it as well

If you haven't watched the entirety of Hazbin yet maybe don't read this and go finish it

Note: This is set before Sir Pentious died, and has everyone living in the hotel at the time.

It's a quiet day in hell. Well, as quiet as hell can get.

On top of a hill was a hotel, one you've probably heard of. It's called the hazbin hotel.

Charlie, one of the main hosts and the one who actually made the hotel and had the idea for it, was looking for things to do as an activity for the day. She starts looking through the internet to find things to do.

"Oooh, what's this? A new restaurant opened? Maybe I can teach manners there! Or.. something."

She clicked on a website that had the information for a restaurant that opened. It had 4 cute animatronics as mascots. At least, charlie thought they were cute.

When she pitched the idea to the others, they weren't sure about it.

"Man, um.. I'ma be honest this shit looks creepy as hell."

Husk said while scratching his neck. Charlie laughed.

"No it doesn't!! You're telling me this isn't ADORABLE?!?!"

Sir Pentious smiled.

"I think it looks delightful!"

Niffty smiled as well.

"Ooooo, they look like bad boys!"

Alastor was also smiling, like always. Charlie assumed he was happy about this too, even though that's his default look.

Charlie's eyes got wide.

"See! Come on, were going. Let's go."

Vaggie shook her head, in a playful way towards charlie. She hoped this was going to be worth it. I mean, it just seemed like a cheap pizza place with cheap animatronics meant for children. But whatever would make charlie happy made vaggie happy too.

Everyone hopped in the limo they ordered (because they're fancy) and they started going to the place. Upon exiting the car, they saw a giant billboard with the name 'Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria" plastered on the front.

Sir Pentious and Angel Dust's mouths dropped.

"Ya know, maybe this won't be so bad. It's a pizzeria, how bad could it be?"

Angel said. Then he looked down to see a bunch of screaming hellborn children, and he wasn't sure if they were screaming out of joy or fear.

"Ehh on second thought- do we have to eat here? There's a bar nearby that sells pizza--"

Vaggie cut him off.

"NO! We are going here and we're going to enjoy it." She grabbed angel by the shoulder and pulled him towards the pizzeria a bit. "Come on everyone! Let's go."

Husk sighed and walked next to Angel.

They all entered, and the first thing they see is the animatronics. In order: A blueish purple bunny, a brown bear with a top hat, and a yellow chicken with a bib that says "Let's Eat!"

Angel tilted his head.

"Wasn't there supposed to be 4?"

"There!"

Charlie pointed to a pedestal on the left side of the stage where a pirate fox stood.

Niffty rubbed her hands together.

"Bad boy.. HAHAHA"

Everyone looked at her.

Charlie sighed.

"OOOK, let's get a seat."

They all got a party sized table. They were the only group of just adults, so they felt pretty awkward.

"Two cheese pizzas, please."

Vaggie ordered when the waiter came by. The waiter was a hellborn imp with long hair. He replied,

"Okay! Might take a while.. Our pizza maker is having some issues at the moment. It'll be fixed shortly I'm sure. In the meantime, you can check out the arcade or the animatronics."

Everyone nodded. Angel and husk got up first, and split off from the group. Others started leaving the table at that moment.

When Angel and Husk were walking around, a hellborn kid bumped into Angel Dust's leg. Instinctively, he held husk's hand to keep him up and balanced. When Angel looked down, he saw an adorable little imp child.

"Aww, hello!"

After saying that the child grinned very, very wide, showing off giant sharp teeth.

Husk's nose scrunched.

"Eugh."

They continued on towards the animatronics. Once they were at the front, right in front of the animatronics, they saw how detailed they were.

"They're even creepier in person!"

Husk exclaimed, then he suddenly realized he was still holding Angel's hand. He didn't mind it though.

"Yeah. Ugh, this place is boring.. Hey, what's over this way?"

Angel pointed to an unlabeled door that was cracked open. Since he was unbearably bored, he pulled husk over to the door and entered.

While angel and husk were off holding hands and going into the mysterious room in the back (they're such boyfriends I swear)

Charlie and Vaggie walked over to the arcade. Charlie wanted to see the animatronics, but Vaggie pulled her away because she swore they were possessed. She was content going to the arcade anyways. Anything that made her girlfriend happy made her happy!

Sir pentious wasn't sure what to do, so he just tagged along with Charlie and Vaggie.

"Ooh, this place is delightful!"

When they played the games he always lost. But he was okay with that.

While they played games niffty was sweeping the floor and picking up all the messes, and once she got bored she snuck into pirate's cove. It seemed foxy was her favorite animatronic. She didn't really care for the others. She claimed foxy was the "ultimate bad boy."

The others just laughed awkwardly. Foxy's not even real!

Alastor just stood in the corner of the room, and when kids came up to him, probably thinking he was an animatronic, he just smiled even wider to scare them away. He thought this was pretty fun.

And he was used to menacingly standing in corners, especially since this is what he does every night instead of sleeping.

Eventually after what seemed like forever, their pizza was ready. Charlie, vaggie, and sir pentious went to gather everyone.

It took them forever to find niffty hiding behind foxy.

"Where's angel and husk?"

Charlie asked. Vaggie replied,

"No clue, couldn't find them anywhere."

Sir pentious looked around.

"We've checked every room.. Wait, what about over there?"

He pointed over to a door that leads to the back. Nobody besides staff was allowed back there so Charlie shook her head.

"Why would they be in there?"

Alastor shrugged. Vaggie had the suspicion they were doing something weird, especially since angel and husk have been getting close. She sighed.

"Well, who wants to check if they're in there. Cause it won't be me."

"I'll go."

Charlie raised her hand. No matter what they could find in there what if they were in trouble?! Nobody knows what goes on in the back of kids pizzerias.

So, she opened the door and went inside.

(A few moments before the door opens)

"Uh.. husk?"

"Yeah?"

"What the fuck is that."

Angel pointed to a green blob in the corner. Their eyes weren't fully adjusted to the dark room yet, so that made it hard to see.

Husk squinted his eyes. He had no clue what it was. Then it moved. Not a huge movement, but it shook.

Angel frantically looked for a light switch. It was probably just their imagination. Finally, he found one and switched it on.

"Is that a green bunny? A stuffed animal, right? Or.."

Angel moved closer to husk. Husk looked at him.

"It's bleeding. It must be alive!"

He started to walk towards it.

Angel grabbed his hand as quickly as he could.

"Wait! What if it's a trap?"

Husk reluctantly sighed. Then he decided to speak to the mysterious rabbit.

"Hello? Can you hear me?"

The rabbit's arm twitched. Husk took that as a sign it could hear him.

"Can you move? Or speak?"

Angel shook his head.

"Husk, we should go this shit is scary."

"No, it's hurt. He needs help. Stay with me angel."

Angel smiled, and looked into husk's eyes. He guessed husk was right. Besides, charlie would be devastated if they let someone in pain just stay in a dark room in the back of a pizzeria.

"Okay."

They looked up to see the rabbit moving it's arms up to its head. They stood in silence watching it, as it.. took its head off? Husk's breathing hot heavier.

"It's a suit."

Angel smiled.

"Yeah, I think I noticed when he took his head off."

Husk shook his head and said nothing, still focused on the man in the suit. Husk grabbed angels hand and walked over to him. They noticed that inside the suit was an imp, specifically an arch imp.

Angel couldn't recognize him. But they were in a different ring than the hotel, so he probably have never seen this imp before.

"Who are you."

He cleared his throat, then spoke for the first time since they've been here.

"The names striker. Never heard of me?"

Angel and husk didn't reply. Angel looked down next to Striker, and he saw a gun. A gun made by Camilla Carmine, one of the overlords.

"How the fuck did you get that?"

He pointed at it.

"And why is it in this kids pizzeria? Why are you in that suit what the fuck is happening!"

"Calm down, angel"

Striker put his hand on the gun.

"I was paid a lot of money to be here. No clue why, but I do what I'm told. They gave me this suit to protect my identity, although it has this fucking death trap inside."

He pointed to where there were sharp metal objects piercing into his skin from the suit.

"Hey, give me a little help here. I have other bounty's to hunt and people to kill."

He had a grin that angel didn't like. But if they could get him as far away from this pizzeria as possible that would be great. But.. should he do this? Well, not helping would be mean, and he did want to be redeemed someday.

"Okay, we'll help"

"What?!"

Husk was surprised by this decision, but he trusted angel. He trusted angel dust with his life. And whatever happens they will get through it together.

"Okay, I trust your decision angel."

"Thanks, husky."

They started taking out the metal, and eventually he was completely out of the suit. Angel kept on eye on the gun that was still on the floor in case he tried anything.

"Okay, we helped you now just get out and we won't mess with you."

Striker smiled. While angel was focused on the gun, he ran towards them and pinned them both against the wall by their throats.

They could barely breathe, and they struggled to pull his hands off.

"You may not know me, but I certainly know you two. Killing and bringing back a pornstar and former overlord will surely get me a lot of money."

They still couldn't move off of the wall.

"I'm sorry your life has to end this way, thanks for saving me, by the way."

Husk looked at angel. This was how they were gonna die. He was gonna make them pass out and then shoot them when they were sleeping.

He didn't even get to say he loves angel.. They still had so much more time. He could feel everything going black.

Then they saw a flash of light and a clicking sound.

"Husk! Angel Dust!! Are you guys in-"

Charlie opened the door to see an imp pinning them to the wall.

Charlie looked back at Vaggie with a concerned expression, and she knew something was wrong. She got up from her seat and ran over.

Surprisingly, during all of this none of the staff had noticed anything going on towards the back. I guess it was just a storage room that they didn't use that much and they were mainly inside of the kitchen.

Anyways, when she got there and saw angel and husk against the wall, she completely panicked.

She grabbed a spear off of her back, and pointed it at striker.

"LET THEM GO."

She ordered. Striker knew Vaggie had an angelic spear, so he immediately dropped them. Charlie gasped at how winded they looked. She was about to run over to them but Vaggie stopped her.

Striker stared at Vaggie's spear.

"Are these your friends, coming to save you? Angel dust, husk, I thought you'd be stronger to fight for yourself, not let this girl save you."

Striker was still looking at Vaggie's spear while saying this.

"Eh, maybe bringing back a former exorcist angel would give me more money than the two of you anyways."

Suddenly, he swiftly reached to grab the gun on the floor.

"What the- fuck?!"

It wasn't there. He turned around to see angel dust pointing it at Striker. Striker just laughed.

"I guess you're stronger than I thought."

Striker shook his head.

"I guess I have to do this the old fashioned way."

He ducked down and aimed for Vaggie's legs. She dodged out of the way, striking with her spear, but missed.

She looked back towards the door to see if Charlie was okay, but she was gone.

"Charlie?!"

Suddenly, while she was distracted, Vaggie got kicked in the stomach by Striker.

"Ow! Shit!"

She kept hold of her spear despite this. Then, the door opened again. Alastor walked in, with Charlie behind him.

"Striker."

Striker stopped fighting to look at him. Vaggie pinned his neck to the wall with the handle of her spear.

"Alastor."

Alastor smiled even wider than he already was.

"Striker, you're still doing this job? I suppose it must pay well enough. Now, are you going to keep hurting my friends, or are you going to leave?"

When he said that last sentence, Alastor grew a little bigger, and the radio effect on his voice got stronger.

Striker knew Alastor was way more powerful than him, since he was an imp and Alastor was an overlord. So, he obeyed.

"Fine, I'll leave."

He had a mean glare in his eyes while looking at Alastor, as if he wanted to claw his eyes out in that moment.

"I needed to bandage some of my wounds anyways. Can't say I won't be back, though."

Alastor laughed.

"Oh, striker. Don't you have enough money already? Go do your job and stop going on silly side quests to hurt my friends. Go on, now."

Vaggie released the spear, and Striker stormed out of the pizzeria.

Alastor sighed.

Vaggie went over to Charlie to see if she was hurt. Although Charlie stayed out of the fight and only got Alastor. Charlie was more worried about Vaggie. She was definitely going to have some bruises after this.

Husk and angel hugged each other very tightly, and angel kissed husk on the cheek.

When they left the room, they discovered that Sir Pentious and Niffty had ate all the pizza.

Angel laughed.

"I kind of lost my appetite anyways."

He touched his neck. He completely regretted helping him out.. He was just trying to do something good.

As if husk read he mind he touched Angel's shoulder.

"None of this was your fault it's okay I understand.. Let's not go into a mysterious back room again, though."

They paid for the pizzas, and went back to the hotel.

There's a few ways I can imagine Lilith finding out about the Happy Hazbin Hotel;

If this is something Charlie has discussed with Lilith before her capture. I really do like the idea of Charlie talking shop with her mom and throwing the idea around, and perhaps hammering out some details regarding it, as well. Lilith nurtures independence and very much supports Charlie chasing her dreams, especially since it involves the betterment for the well-being of the Sinners. Mom would be completely on-board and help figure out the details. I would not be surprised if she wanted to be involved in some way.

Emily or Sir Pentious. If Emily is in contact with Lilith by the time the meeting takes place, it makes sense to me that this is a valid way for Lilith to discover what Charlie has going on, whether or not it was set in place before her disappearance. Sir Pentious, of course, is an enormous one. Lilith is going to recognize a Sinner when she sees one and want every detail for what he is doing up here if she can get it.

Lilith's "one phone call every two months" that she has with Lucifer. Lucifer was out of the loop with Charlie's life, and now he is in the loop. Whether he is able to tell her this after Ep5 or after Ep8 is dependent (since I have no idea what the time span is between Ep5 and Ep6 months wise), but I like to imagine that he wouldn't want to hold back that crucial detail, especially given the (probable) fact that he's living in the Hotel post-S1.

I've been debating deleting the headcanon, but if Lilith does have a contract with Alastor and he is indeed acting as her walkie talkie and feeding clear information back to her in Heaven, that is also a damn good explanation for how she knows (and gives a nod to how quickly he showed up after Charlie made a call to mom).

I think I'll come up with a default, but these choices are open and very readily available for threads if so desired. :]

George Dawes

Barton 'George' Dawes is having a rough go of it. The state is trying to take control of his house, so they can put a nice new highway up in it's place. But Dawes cares not for progress and starts to crack trying to figure out a way to stop the powers that be from bulldozing.

In the process, he loses his job, his wife and his sanity. In the midst of all this, Dawes still hasn't gotten over the death of his son, Charlie. Dawes still has conversations with son in his mind, although those dwindle as he goes closer and closer to the edge. After a series of bad ideas on Dawes part, he has a standoff at the house with police and construction authorities.

Where in Maine are we? We aren't! This takes place in any town USA although is probably set in the Midwest.

Where in the King timeline are we? This is book #12, novel #9 and Bachman book #3

Connection to previous King works: A machine at the laundromat where Dawes works is called The Mangler, which was the title of a story in Night Shift

Connection to the Dark Tower: None, although it is rumored a priest in the story may be Father Callahan.

Good Guy #1: Oof. Nobody is really a good guy in this story and very few are likable. However, Mary, Dawes' put upon wife didn't really deserve any of the crap heaped on her. She wins by default.

Good Guy #2: Double Oof. Let's go outside the box and give it to the reporter covering the standoff who goes on the win a Pulitzer for their work.

Bad Guy #1: Barton George Dawes...with a bullet. Some may sympathize with the protagonist, but none would condone his choices. He is pretty much to blame for every situation he finds himself in.

Bad Guy #2: The Man. Dammit! This road didn't have to get built, but God forbid anybody stands in the way of manifest destiny. Pity the little guy. And yes, I can choose both sides as the bad guy. Like I said, there are no heroes here.

Freakout Factor: Not much to freak out about unless you count mental anguish...and there's a good point to be made.

That ending though: In true King fashion, nobody wins but everyone gets redemption. How does he do it?

Overall thoughts: Why I hate that people actually lose their homes in this way, it's hard to sympathize when Dawes keeps making horrible decision after horrible decision. It's grimy and depressing, not exactly my cup of tea, but it is very thought-provoking so it's got that going for it.

How would your s/I fit into the HH canon? I’m always curious about self inserts interacting with canon and how they fit in

Also tell me a bit about your self insert- what are they like? Are they a sinner or hellborn? The year they died in, all that jazz! Oh- and their relationship with Al. That too :3

Okay so I kinda combined HH and HB cause backstory stuff. There's not too much cause the series hasn't officially started yet but I got some ideas. She's not a s Hellborn or a Sinner (yet). She's a human stuck in hell!

Her current backstory idea is that she fell through a portal that IMP left open and Stolas found her and decided to help her out. He couldn't send her back right away due to plot reasons that I haven't figured out yet.

She has an Imp-hybrid disguise that Stolas gave her to fit in an not get her soul stolen by other demons. Though certain powerful demons like the Ars Goetia, certain overlords (namely Alastor), and the Morningstar family have an innate sense that she's still alive.

She headed out on her own during Stolas's divorce thing cause she didn't want to put more worry on him and Octavia. Stolas still worries but they keep in contact via phone calls and texting.

She ended up running into Alastor, who offered her a deal. He gives her protection and in return she's loyal to him. Alastor did this originally to keep anyone else from using her soul against him as I think a non-condemned human soul would be a rather power commodity in hell.

Alastor got her a room at the Hazbin Hotel cause it was one of the few safe places he knew to keep her. Charlie was somewhat understanding of the situation and welcomed her to the hotel staff with open arms. She helps out with odd jobs around the hotel in return for room and board.

She became friends with Husk rather quickly. She sits and listens to him when they both have time. Niffty finds her interesting but they don't interact much.

She and Angel Dust vibe pretty well, having impromptu karaoke sessions together and making jokes. Angel also offered to teach her how to pole dance for fun.

Charlie sees her as a friend and someone who could be a good influence on the sinners staying at the Hotel. She and Alastor actually didn't want my sona to do much work but my sona was like "Listen that's why I left Stolas' care. I felt like a mooch. Let me do stuff." They begrudgingly agreed as long as it wasn't dangerous to her.

Her relationship with Alastor is complicated to say the least. Alastor took an interest in situation and decided that it'd be fun to see how she'd survive in hell, thus offering his help to her. Alastor does care about her after spending more time with her. He doesn't know if love is the correct term but he defaults to it when talking to people about her. He sees her as entertainment and his partner. Calls her his "little lamb" due to being her basically being lost in hell. Also the joke about her name.

She also met Sir Pentious, who also knows she's a human. Because she told him. He's has decided that he's gonna make sure Alastor doesn't abuse his deal with her. He's no where near strong enough to actually do anything to Alastor if the fucker decides my sona's not fun anymore but the snake will fucking try. Also he probably has a crush on her. I'm debating poly with them.

Thanks for the tag @the-chaotic-scilla-aster! This was a fun question to think about and flesh out. Damien loves being around people; he is an extrovert, after all. But! He is not used to being his true self around other people, having grown up in Muggle London where being attracted to the same sex is a punishable offense. It can take him some time to grow comfortable around others.

In Like Moths to a Flame, which takes place during the events of Hogwarts: Legacy... Sebastian and Ominis

Damien is understandably nervous at first around the two of them because he doesn't feel like he knows Ominis very well (and their first meeting left something to be desired LMAO). He outwardly ignores their bickering (thinking about the Scriptorium quest in this scenario), but inwardly he is jealous that Sebastian is comfortable enough to be so snarky with Ominis. Damien knows Ominis isn't into men and that Sebastian doesn't seem to be into Ominis in a romantic way, but he very much wants to reach that comfort level with Sebastian too.

Later on, once he and Sebastian are together, Damien gets more comfortable with Ominis, although he is still a bit cautious around him, mainly because he doesn't know Sebastian's feelings on whether or not he wants their romantic relationship to be public. Because #idiotsinlove. Of course.

Sebastian and Natty Sebastian and Natty mostly interact together in Crossed Wands. Damien finds it amusing that they are friends (although he senses they are more friends by association, which is true). They are very different people personality-wise. Because of this, Damien can get flustered when they're in a group together since when he's alone with one or the other different aspects of himself shine forth.

Ominis and Anne

Damien hardly knows Anne, despite being head over heels in love with her twin brother. Damien has no clue how Anne feels about him and he finds this incredibly nerve-wracking. Luckily, he does sense that when Anne is around Ominis she is distracted, which is SO TRUE LMAO. He's grateful for that at least. Ominis is much calmer and more even-tempered when he's with Anne too. In fact, Damien prefers Ominis this way. He's easier to read and more predictable. So, I guess it all evens out in the end. XD

The MCverse AUs!

Charlie, Scilla, Gilbert, Allan and Eleanor

In all the AUs, when he's not reading, studying, or working, Damien absolutely adores hanging out with his friends. He is typically the calming influence of the group. If someone is having a bad day, he will sit with them and just listen. He wants to help. He doesn't like it when his friends are hurting; it physically pains him.

Dueling Pianos Damien is a bit distracted by Charlie whenever he's in a group setting, but he tries his best to quell his incessant need to give 1000% of his attention to Charlie (his default state when they are together because Charlie is that important to him) to participate fully in whatever the group is doing. He mostly succeeds (lmao). Modern AU Damien is a social worker, which is an all-consuming job, so when he has free time, he goes all in. He's the ~deep~ one of the group, constantly asking the big questions. He also loves to give advice when asked. Notably, he will not give advice unless asked because he knows how annoying unsolicited advice can be.
