Jesus is Coming
Some years ago I was walking around the reception tables after a wedding I had performed. An older woman approached me with a question. Almost everyone present at this particular wedding had come from a high church liturgical tradition. In their tradition, they had sometimes weekly, sometimes monthly recited either the Apostle’s Creed or the Athanasian Creed. But apparently, she hadn’t been…

Would love to hear about the books u read in 2024, surprise bests, biggest disappointments?
Tumblr media
I think I will do a multi part post over the coming weeks with reviews of all the books I read since I have about half of them written up already. For now I'll just say my two absolute favourite reads of the year were Botanical Daughter by Noah Medlock and Monstrilio by Gerardo Sámano Córdova. Two very different books but both of them permanently altered my brain chemistry.
Below are my ratings for all the books I read and as I say, I'll try to post more in depth reviews over the next few weeks. My aim this year is to try and do proper reviews of the books I read as I'm reading them instead of having to go back several months later lmao.
Oh, and because it's something I'm always looking for specific recs for, I've highlighted the books with queer rep (that I remember) in pink, and the extreme horrors/books I advise checking trigger warnings for are marked with a lil skull.

The Lord Will Care for Judah
1 Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone. 2 The idols speak deceitfully, diviners see visions that lie; they tell dreams that are false, they give comfort in vain. Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd.
3 “My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; for the Lord Almighty will care for his flock, the people of Judah, and make them like a proud horse in battle. 4 From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler. 5 Together they will be like warriors in battle trampling their enemy into the mud of the streets. They will fight because the Lord is with them, and they will put the enemy horsemen to shame.
6 “I will strengthen Judah and save the tribes of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them. They will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the Lord their God and I will answer them. 7 The Ephraimites will become like warriors, and their hearts will be glad as with wine. Their children will see it and be joyful; their hearts will rejoice in the Lord. 8 I will signal for them and gather them in. Surely I will redeem them; they will be as numerous as before. 9 Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet in distant lands they will remember me. They and their children will survive, and they will return. 10 I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon, and there will not be room enough for them. 11 They will pass through the sea of trouble; the surging sea will be subdued and all the depths of the Nile will dry up. Assyria’s pride will be brought down and Egypt’s scepter will pass away. 12 I will strengthen them in the Lord and in his name they will live securely,” declares the Lord. — Zechariah 10 | New International Version (NIV) Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV® Copyright ©1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc.® All rights reserved worldwide. Line Upon Line Lesson 056: God Almighty
Exodus 6:3 - And God spoke to Moses and said to him: “I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name Lord I was not known to them.
God referred to Himself by two different names in this verse.  He first calls Himself Jehovah (or Yahweh)  The second name God calls Himself is “El Shaddai,” which means “God Almighty.”  What was God trying to tell Moses in this verse?
Let’s read together Genesis 17:1; 28:3; 35:11; 43:14; and 48:3.
When Abraham was ninety-nine years old, God renewed His covenant with Abraham.  When Isaac sent away Jacob, he reminded Jacob of God’s covenant promise to Abraham and his descendants.  When Jacob blessed Joseph’s sons, he recounted to Joseph how God blessed him in Canaan.  In all these passages, God is referred to as El Shaddai.
Let’s read together Genesis 15:7; 22:14; and 28:13.
God revealed to Himself as Jehovah to Abraham and Jacob.  So what did God mean when He said He appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as El Shaddai, but His name Jehovah was not known to them?
Let’s read together Exodus 3:13-14; Deuteronomy 4:39; Job 11:7; Ezekiel 10:5; and Revelation 4:8.
The patriarchs knew God as the Almighty God who was their Creator.  He provided for their needs and delivered them from great trials in their lives.  No matter how weak they felt, God had more than enough power to carry them forward.   Moses also personally experienced that aspect of God.
The difference between the patriarchs and Moses is that Moses would see the beginning of the fulfillment of God’s covenant promise.  Moses and the children of Israel would see firsthand the power of a God who is like no other being in the universe.  They would see a God who keeps His promises.  They would experience miracles no one has ever seen before.  They would see a God who encourages them to be in a relationship with Him.  They would experience an aspect of God the patriarchs did not fully comprehend.
Friend, remember we serve an Almighty God who wishes to have a close relationship with us.  He is both our Creator and Deliverer.

HE IS THERE
HE IS THERE
Ezekiel 48:35

What a way to close off the book of Ezekiel! With the Lord Himself affirming and confirming for us reassuringly that He is there, wherever there would ever be, He is and will be there with and for us as stated in Deuteronomy 31:6 and reiterated in Hebrews 12:4.
Prophet Ezekiel closes his assignment by renaming the city to be “The LORD Is There: JEHOVA SHAMMAH”. Ezekiel’s final vision, and the whole of the book, is about the reality of God’s presence among His people.
Are you looking for the Lord? He is there! You are reminded again and again that the Lord is always near! The Lord Is There! Yes indeed, God Is with us, and He will never forsake us. We are never abandoned by God!
Immanuel in Matthew 1:23 means, "God with us" is closely associated with this Old Testament Name for God, Yahweh Shammah.
Where have you been looking for the Lord? Stop looking for Him. He is there! He is near you always, as clearly stated in Psalm 145:18. He is not far. The quicker we realize that the Lord is always near us, the quicker we stop allowing the enemy to send us on a searching spree all overlooking for God.
God is omnipresent! His omnipresence is His ability to be everywhere at once. Whether someone is on a mountain top or in the deepest valley, they’re never out of His reach or sight. He is there!
The Lord doesn’t need a brick-and-mortar temple to inhabit as clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 6:19, the Holy Spirit resides within us. The Spirit of the Lord lives within individual Christians. This makes each believer’s body a temple where God’s Spirit lives. That means we don’t go looking for the Lord “there” because He’s already and always “there” in and with us.
Be confidently assured that whatever you’re going through, whatever challenges you’re facing, the Lord is there with you. No height, depth, sickness or even death can separate us from God’s everlasting love according to Romans 8:31-35 because Adonai-Shammah is always there with you.
Psalm 23:4 even affirms that God will walk with and alongside us in every situation.
The Lord is with us! The Lord has always been with us and will always be with us! Nothing we go through in life will cause Him to turn from us, even when we turn from Him as seen in Psalm 139:7-10, “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. Where then can one go, and God is not? Nowhere!
Some of us are even right now looking for God in places where He’s not.
When you hurt-He is there! When you’re sick-He is there! When you pass through fire, water, storm as promised in Isaiah 43:2. He is always there!
The Lord gives us a clear message about Him being there in Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Fear not, “the Lord is there” with you always.
PRAYER: Help me, Lord, to remember that you are there in every circumstance. Help me to comprehend this truth that You promise to never leave me or forsake me. There is no place that I can go that is away from Your presence. Amen.
Shalom,

Heartstrings: Glorious Praise to the God of Heaven and Earth
Praising God from a pure heart, acknowledging Him in all of our ways, is pleasing in His sight. He is God, Creator, and Ruler of all. We have no life apart from Him. The life of every living creature, and the breath of all mankind is in His hand. (See Job 12:10)
He has no pleasure in disloyal hearts. (See 1 Samuel 15:20-23, Isaiah 29:13-14, Ezekiel 33:31-32, and John 4:21-24)
"Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven." (Lamentations 3:41)
Tumblr media
"Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand." (Psalm 95:1-7)
See Also: Psalm 1, Psalm 2, Psalm 3, Psalm 4, Psalm 5, Psalm 7, Psalm 8, Psalm 9, Psalm 13, Psalm 16, Psalm 18, Psalm 19, Psalm 22, Psalm 23, Psalm 24, Psalm 27, Psalm 28, Psalm 29, Psalm 30, Psalm 33, Psalm 34, Psalm 42, Psalm 43, Psalm 47, Psalm 48, Psalm 50, Psalm 64, Psalm 65, Psalm 66, Psalm 67, Psalm 75, Psalm 81, Psalm 89, Psalm 92, Psalm 98, Psalm 99, Psalm 100, Psalm 101, Psalm 103, Psalm 104, Psalm 105, Psalm 106, Psalm 107, Psalm 108, Psalm 111, Psalm 112, Psalm 113, Psalm 115, Psalm 117, Psalm 118, Psalm 134, Psalm 138, Psalm 144, Psalm 145, Psalm 146, Psalm 147, Psalm 148, Psalm 149, Psalm 150
For deeper meditation, read the entire Book of Psalms.
Speak to one another, in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always, for all things to God the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. {Ephesians 5:19}

THE IRREPLACEABLE REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY, WHAT’S FINISHED IS FINISHED, May 15, 2026
Replacement theology is the belief that the Gentiles have permanently replaced Israel as God's chosen people.
God originally cherished Israel as His vineyard (Isaiah 5:1-6), privileged with His oracles.
ISAIAH 5:7 For the VINEYARD of the LORD of hosts is the house of ISRAEL…
However, Israel, who was once a noble vine, has now become a degenerate plant, morally decayed, and corrupted themselves (Hosea 9:9-10), departing from the principles that God had committed to them.
JEREMIAH 2:21 Yet I had planted thee a NOBLE VINE, wholly a RIGHT SEED: how then art thou turned into the DEGENERATE PLANT of a STRANGE VINE unto me?
God had expected them to bear good fruits, as they were endowed with the wisdom of knowing His law, unfortunately, God found none.
Thus, God declares that He can easily raise up a people (Matthew 3:7-10 – stones) who are not of Abraham's seed nor have known His law but nevertheless exhibit good deeds in accordance therewith.
These stones are symbolically referring to the Gentiles (1 Peter 2:5, 9-10), who are highly esteemed by God as the spiritual children of Abraham.
The last extension of mercy had been amply given unto Israel (Luke 13:6-9), which was until the completion of 3 years of Christ’s ministry on earth (John 19:30, Daniel 9:24).
God gave the exact year of His return, 2026, in Daniel 9:24-27, which is the complete prophecy of Christ’s Advent and the termination of Israel’s probation.
DANIEL 9:24-27
7 – SEVENTY weeks (verse 24) 62 – THREESCORE and TWO weeks (verse 25)
7 – SEVEN weeks (verse 25) 62 – THREESCORE and TWO weeks (verse 26)
7 + 7 = 14
14 x 6 x 2 x 6 x 2 = 2016
7 days – ONE week (verse 27)
The triangular number of 7 is 28 (2 + 8 = 10).
2016 + 10 = 2026
Thenceforth, God cursed the house of Israel (Mark 11:12-14, 20-21, Ezekiel 37:1-2, 11) that they would forever be scattered (Zechariah 7:11-14) and would never be able to restore and rebuild into a great nation in His sight.
MARK 11:20-21
(20) …they saw the FIG TREE DRIED UP from the roots.
(21) … Master, behold, the FIG TREE which thou CURSEDST is WITHERED away.
EZEKIEL 37:11 …these BONES are the WHOLE HOUSE of ISRAEL… Our BONES are DRIED, and our HOPE IS LOST…
Howbeit, Israel today continuously took pride in their religious heritage of being a chosen people of God, which is a clear deception, for God had already abandoned them for ages and will remain so until the coming of Christ (Matthew 23:37-39).
MATTHEW 21:33, 37, 39, 41, 43
(33) Hear another parable: There was a certain HOUSEHOLDER, which planted a VINEYARD…
(37) …he SENT unto them his SON, saying, They will reverence my son.
(39) And they CAUGHT him, and CAST HIM OUT of the VINEYARD, and SLEW him.
(41) …and will LET OUT his VINEYARD unto OTHER HUSBANDMEN, which shall RENDER him the FRUITS in their seasons.
(43) …The KINGDOM of God shall be TAKEN FROM YOU, and GIVEN to a NATION BRINGING forth the FRUITS thereof.
When God beheld Nathaniel under a fig tree, which symbolizes Israel, God regarded him as truly an Israelite.
JOHN 1:47-49
(47) Jesus saw NATHANAEL coming to him, and saith of him, Behold AN ISRAELITE INDEED…
(48) …Whence KNOWEST THOU ME? …when thou wast under the FIG TREE, I saw thee.
(49) Nathanael answered… Rabbi, thou art the SON of GOD; thou art the KING of ISRAEL.
Hence, God’s people of whom He honored to be chosen are those who acknowledged and confessed that Jesus is indeed the Messiah and the Son of God, which the Jews have blatantly disdained.
God, who is not constrained by descent, would then execute a final gathering of His people (Matthew 24:30-31), which is mainly composed of the Gentiles, in the new heaven and new earth (Ezekiel 36:24, 35 – Eden).
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

ONE YEAR BIBLE 2023
Ezekiel 25 - Ezekiel 48
Praying Scripture:Mathew 7:13
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. - Matthew 7:13 (NIV)
ENTER THROUGH THE
NARROW GATE
READ:Mathew 7:13-14
OR Full Chapters
Let's Pray
Father of Love, You are God most merciful.
You have shown us that the only way to enter Heaven is through the narrow gate.
There are only two roads we can travel in this life.
The narrow road to eternal life or the wide road to eternal destruction.
The narrow road is the trusted and genuine personal relationship we have in Christ Jesus.
May we walk the "Jesus Way" to enter through the narrow gate to Heaven.
Jesus is the only way to come You - John 14:6
All of the world’s largest religions claim that “their path” is the “only path” that leads to the afterlife.
But Jesus says, "NO" there are only two roads. One is the narrow road that leads to eternal life, the other is the broad road that leads to destruction.
Let it be the desire of everyone to surrender and walk on the the road of faith in Christ Jesus.
May we not create our own ways through any other religion except Jesus Christ.
"There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." - Proverbs 14:12
We live in a world of darkness.
Make a way for us where there seems to be no way. - Isaiah 43:19
May we choose the way of life not death.
“And to this people you shall say: ‘Thus says the LORD: Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.” - Jeremiah 21:8
Assuredly as You live You do not take pleasure in the death of the wicked one. - Ezekiel 33:11 ; Ezekiel 18:23 ; 2 Peter 3:9
Thank You Father for the gift of Salvation only in the name of Jesus. - Acts 4:12
To him belong the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:11 --- WPT31AG23

Then read:
56. Ruth 57. Esther 58. Jonah 59. Song Of Solomon 60. Acts 61. Titus 62. Philemon

Rejoicing in Heaven
1 And after these things I heard the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Hallelujah! The salvation and the glory and the honor and the power belong to the Lord our God. 2 For true and righteous are His judgments; for He has judged the great whore, who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and He has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand." 3 And they said a second time, "Hallelujah! And her smoke shall ascend upward into the ages of eternity." 4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, Who sits on the throne, saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!" 5 And a voice came forth from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all His servants, and all who fear Him, both small and great."
6 And I heard a voice like that of a great multitude, and like the sound of many waters, and the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord God Almighty has reigned.
7 Let us be glad and shout with joy; and let us give glory to Him; for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." 8 And it was granted to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, pure and bright; for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.
9 And he said to me, "Write: Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb." And he said to me, "These are the true words of God." 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. Then he said to me, "See that you do not do this! I am a fellow servant of yours, and of your brethren, who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
11 And I saw heaven open; and behold, a white horse; and He Who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He does judge and make war. 12 And His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written that no one knows except Him. 13 And He was clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and His name is The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven were following Him on white horses; and they were clothed in fine linen, white and pure. 15 And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He might smite the nations; and He shall shepherd them with an iron rod; and He treads the winepress of the fury and the wrath of the Almighty God. 16 And on His garment and on His thigh He has a name written: King of kings and Lord of lords.
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather yourselves together to the supper of the great God 18 So that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of chief captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all, free and bond, and small and great."
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered together to make war with Him Who sits on the horse, and with His army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked miracles in his presence, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Those two were cast alive into the lake of fire, which burns with brimstone; 21 And the rest were killed by the sword of Him Who sits on the horse, even the sword that goes out of His mouth; and all the birds were filled with their flesh. — Revelation 19 | A Faithful Version (AFV) A Faithful Version Bible Copyright © 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 York Publishing Company.
