For the yes/no ask game: if it became popular to change the color of your tongue to interesting patterns and all your friends were doing it so you got curious and asked around about it and a close friend shared that all they'd done was take a pill and let it dissolve in their mouth and then a cool new color appeared and they asked if you'd like to try it and you figured why not so you take a pill home and follow the friends instructions but as it dissolves you don't like the feeling so you spit it out into a cup and leave it by the sink and later your friend is curious about how it went but you being embarrassed that you didn't go all the way through with it lie and say you did it but nothing has happened yet and your friend just nods and says it can take a few days but something in their tone actually makes you pause and look at them more closely for a moment but aside from looking a little tired nothing else seems amiss so you move on but later you notice a strangeness among more of your friends and even people outside of your friends, an odd anxious quality to their words, a way of speaking as if they know you even when they don't, the only connection between them all being the interesting patterns and colors their tongues have turned, and by the end of the week you feel as if you're losing your mind and on top of all the strange behavior around you your tongue has been itching like crazy and a fear that these two facts may be related haunts you so you make a doctor's appointment deciding against discussing the strange behavior around you and just sticking with the physical problems and as you explain the itching sensation and admit you may have tried the new pill everyone's trying so maybe you're just allergic and the doctor hums and asks if the reaction started during or after you completed taking the pill so you admit you didn't finish taking it and the doctor nods and says this is a common experience among users who don't let the pill completely dissolve and suggests you take another pill this time letting it go through the whole process which you think is odd advice but the doctor is a professional so you assume it must be sound and as you leave you realize the doctors tongue is purple which sets off all kinds of alarm bells in your mind so now you're sitting at home and in front of you is the pill you'd spit out before still in the cup only it no longer looks like the pill you'd taken but seems to have sprouted out like some sort of fungus taking over most of the cup but seems to be dying without any further sustenance and now you feel certain something incredibly concerning is going on but you still aren't sure what but as you look for answers you take note that whatever this is it is everywhere and there isn't anyone to turn to but you you still reach out to a few people, scientists or other people who have been questioning the new fad, but before anyone responds you still have to go to work and pretend things are fine and one day you get an email back from someone you had contacted saying they agree that things are weird and they have a bunker in the middle of nowhere that they and some others are going to and they're offering to let you join them while the group tries to research what's going on and hide away from whatever is happening. Do you leave everything and accept their offer?

okay celeste community: i wanna get into celeste mods and i have minors experience with normie celeste difficulty--i have beat most of the C sides, beat the Core but not Farewell yet, and i been teaching myself some small advanced techniques like ones taught in the game or was easy for me to figure out myself--but im definitely not near the level of advanced hardcore celeste players.

i wanna try to get better at advanced moves and i have heard ppl mentions specific mods to train them but i dont know how to find them or even to find what all the possible actions Are. ive tried looking it up before and got overwhelmed by the amount of similar technical terms im not familiar with and no organization between beginner-advanced and advanced-advanced techniques.

so my question: does anyone have any specific mod/map recommendations that are good for learning specific techniques in celeste, or a concise and clear list/explanatory video for most techniques for someone who doesnt know most of them or how to do them?

You just stare at him in shock before picking your jaw off the floor, you look at him. He was looking at you intently as if he was contemplating something. Maybe he was thinking about eating you while you were also thinking about him eating you… just in a more sexy way. You didn’t expect to feel what feels like hands on your body, caressing your breasts and playing with your folds. Before you can get up, you feel another hand holding you down onto the plush sheets.  You look up at the shadow of the famous man who was less man with every shift of his features.

You want to beg him to touch you or at least do something, but you don't want to sound pathetic, so you bite your tongue.  Bruce looks down at you with his bright blue eyes and looks down at your naked body as he contemplates what he’s going to do next to you.

You had volunteered to help Hange with an explant outside of the wall, the captain had trust in not only yourself but also Hange that you both would come back safe and alive and for the most part you did.

Or well one of you did.

Levi could still rember Hange's screams as they shouted for help you limp in their arms as they ran to the medical wing Moblit hot on their trial a crimson river followed in your way. The captain wasted no time in running after the sanitise and their assistant to only be stopped at the door.

"Captin sir I think it's best you let Hange deal with them."moblits voice was slightly restless due to the running as well as the adrenaline running through him at the sight of one of his comrades bleeding out in front of him.

Now Levi being Levi, he knew trying to argue would get him jack shit so instead he decided to wait in his office knowing the Four-eyes would come and find him once you were stable.

Once you were alive.

Three heavy knocks shook him out of his trance.

"come in" was all that was needed from the captain to allow the person on the other side of the old wooden door to enter his office.

"I'm so sorry Levi. I got distracted and overlooked the titan from behind. They went to kill it but their ODM gear slipped from the branch it was hooked into as they were killing it. they fell."Hanges voice was full of guilt.

"tch you would have done the same four-eyes" Levi said his eyes going back onto the stack of paperwork in front of him.

"You can go and see them if you want?" Those were the last words Hange spoke before they left to hopefully clean themselves up before they started on the report today.

Levi stood up making sure the door to his office was closed before walking down the hallway that needed a clean.

Somehow the hallway felt longer than he had rembied it to be, as if time had slowed. He stopped at the door, the same door he had tried to enter hours prior, his hand hovering above the old wooden handle as if contemplating what he should do.

Levi let out a sigh before walking into the room, the smell of disinfectant hit his nose almost instantly as he quietly shut to door from behind him.

His eyes found your once beaten and bloody frame resting in clean white sheets blood now gone, probably due to moblit and your chest now rising and falling with each breath you took.

The captain pulled up a chair from the small desk in the corner of the room moving it to sit beside your bed.

He thought he was just seeing things until it kept happening his eyes flickered to yours, as he watched you open and close them trying to get used to the bright lights that were let in through the window on the far left of the room.     

“L Levi?” You groaned out a voice hoarse from the lack of use.

“Tch do you want so water are you in any pain?” His voice was the normal stoic voice of the Captain, but his eyes well his eyes told you everything you needed to know in your hazy state.

“Water please I feel fine what happened? Where Hange?” Levi shook his head as he stood up walking over to the wooden table pouring a glass of water before bringing it back to you.

“Four-eyes is fine it you they are worried about what the hell where you think” his voice was more hash then he had inteded.

Your eyes narrowed as you took small slips of the water that Your captain gave you.

“I’m fine Levi iv done worse and you first should know that” you said like it was nothing.

You were walking down the corridor with Moblit laughing about something he did while drunk the night before.

You took a turn around the corner not looking at where you were going before you walked right into someone.

“Shit I and so sorry” you quickly said dropping to your knees to get your paperwork and hide for the rest of the night from the poor person you had so rudely walked into.

“Tch you should look where you're going next time” The voice was rough but a sort of calming in so odd way.

You looked up to see Levi helping you pick up your paper work taping them into one neat pile before he met your eyes.

“What?” He had a confused look in his eye.

“ n nothing sorry again” you stood up trying to organise your work.

“What are you doing awake you could get in trouble with the higher-ups ups” you asked taking the paper from his hands you chose to ignore how he felt when they brushed against yours.

“Couldn’t sleep and what about yourself” he shoots the question back at you.

Your face broke from its blank expression a little.

“Don’t think we have met I’m Captain {y/n}{L/n} nice to meet you cadet?” you said before you walked off to only turn around to see Levi’s grey eye looking back at you.

“I suggest you come with me if you don’t want to get caught, Cadet?” You asked not waiting for him to respond.

“Tch brat” he mutters before following himself.

He reached the kitchen he watched you pull two mugs from the cabinet.

“Tea?” You asked as you reached for the Earl Grey tea leaves.

He just nodded as he watched you make the tea.

The same way he did.

“How long what you been in the scouts for?” Levi broke the silence.

“7 years give or take been in the military for ten if you count my 3 years of training” you said moving the cup over to the dark-haired male.

Levi mutters a thanks before taking a drink from the hot mug.

You watched him your eyes held curiously while your face blank from any emotion.

You confuse the hell out of Levi.

“So you from the underground?” You asked taking a pencil out as you stared to look through your paperwork.

“What if I am” he retorted back.

“Calm down I just asked” you snapped back.

“This lighting is shit come on,” you said quickly finishing the rest of your tea before you moved to wash the cups but Levi stopped you.

“ I’ll do it brat,” he said taking off his uniform jacket and rolling his grey sleeves up to his elbows.

‘Shit’ you thought your eyes linger a little too long on his arms.

“What made you join this shit hole,” you asked leaning back on the counter as you watched Levi clean the two cups and dry them.

The two of you were up talking until the early hours of the morning when you had finally finished your paperwork.

Hit had been two weeks since you last looked or ever spoke to Levi and it was killing him.

You often spent some of your rare free time with him and his squad but none of them had seen you for two weeks.

Levi walked around the corner making his way to his office when he saw Moblit standing outside your door.

Moblit looked to his right to see Levi standing watching him.

“Good afternoon sir is there something I can help you with?” he asked.

“What’s up with them?” Levi demanded.

Even though Levi’s voice was rough Moblit could see behind his wall, he had walked past the captain a few nights ago to find him sitting outside your door trying to talk to you.

“They won’t open the door and they didn’t show up this morning for breakfast” Moblit sighed. Levi walked towards your door before raising his leg.

“Ah, Captain what are you doing” Moblit voice was now filled with panic as he watched the captain kick in your door.

“What the fuck Levi” 

Levi took a good look at you,

He was relieved to know you were alive but god you looked like shit.

Your hair was a mess and the bags under your eyes looked darker.

Levi closed the door behind him this time a little more gently.

“We need to talk,” he said taking a seat on one of the chairs in front of your desk.

“Do we because I think you made it very clear about how you left” Your eyes never met his.

“I I’m sorry ok but I’m worried about you so. Are your shitty friends” his voice was soft something that only ever happens with you.

“Iv lost so many people and when I saw Hange running with you in their arms limp I thought I had lost you as well and I couldn't stand the thought of losing you as well.” his voice cracked as he ran a hand through his hair before waiting to make the next move.

“I know what I said was shit and all that but I do care about you brat in more ways than one and I can’t see a future we’re in there and you aren’t you don’t need to save everyone all the time we know you're strong you don’t need to prove it”

His hand slowly moved to rest on top of yours he needed to feel you were here. That you were real.

“You should know better than anyone shorty I’m not going anywhere” you spoke your eyes met his.

He watched as you intertwined the two of your hands together.

“No way is my favourite moody captain expressing his long-time feelings to me ” you said back, making him roll his eyes a small smirk light up his face.

You were back. 

“So what if I am captain” Levi moved close to you, using his four arms as support to lean on your desk. 

Your face felt warm your eyes dared to flicker to his lips then slowly back up to his eyes. 

Levi’s brain stopped he could have swarmed you and looked at his lips.

“Damm brate” he mutters before meeting your lips with his.

The kiss wasn’t how you expected it to be Levi's lips were dry a little cracked even but the kiss itself was slow as if the two of you were pouring everything you had into this one moment.

The grey-eyed male pulled away first his breath was heavy as was yours.

“Promis me you won’t ever leave me”

Your eyes softened at the male.

This was the Levi you fell in love with not the harsh soldier he was made to be.

no owlposting goes without culture explantion:

1st comic: soccer is "jalkapallo" in finnish, but it might be hard for japanese to pronouce correctly, due to japanese language not having the "L" sound finnish has (the L sound is tied to japanese R, which for explains how sometimes names with R in japanese are romanized with L). depending on the area, soccer can also be shortened to "jalis" or "futis" (from swedish "futbol" for soccer, I think?).

(oh! and someone mentioned in tags or somewhere that they think Endou would be good with languages? that made me think that what if Endou's good with them, but just not good at studying them? like, textbooks do him nothing, but when he's surrounded in another language, he's like a sponge and learns it like nothing on the go? I think I really like that idea!)

2nd comic: I actually drew this after watching the scenery on a 3 hour train ride - if you travel long distances here (on train or motorways), you'll see mostly forests, fields and lakes. especially up in north, there will be like swams too, but... it's pretty empty here. (I might be biased, but I personally love the scenery) ((and it was kinda freaky to visit tokyo and think that there was a looot more people than in my whole freaking country.....)

sauna habits. yes, we gather a bunch of birch branches and hit each other with them. no, it actually feels good!! it's hard to hit so hard it'd hurt, the leaves feel nice and it smells good. you can also find them sold in bigger stores, right in the freezer section.

rally english: the way of pronouncing english like you pronounce finnish. it's dumb and fun and usually done by race drivers, hence the name. also to note: if you write it down, no english speaker understands, but every finn can read it (ai käänt rait it pat ai vil trai) ((if you want to hear it, here's a video. watch at least the first clip because poor timo...))

also: "voi juukelis puukelis" is literally how the finnish subs translate saiki k's "yare yare daze" and I love it so erne is gonna say it, even though I doubt no one actually says it

also also: not important but a fun fact, traditionally with summer cottages and other summer places, the sauna is a separate building. the living place is a bit further inland, and the sauna is close to the body of water. some newer cottages etc. can have another sauna in the actual building too, usually with an electric stove, instead of wood-heated ones used in the separate sauna.

Hey y'all! Welcome to Critter Rarepair Reccs, a recommendation list aimed at fics written for ships that are largely under-represented, appreciated, and loved in our fandom! Now, let's address the elephant in the room first; rarepair is a misnomer here, knowingly. Some of the ships eligible to be recc'ed on this list might not be ones you'd consider a rarepair! So, the more proper welcome would be-

Now, it goes without saying, but before we get into the details here, let's get one thing clear: this blog is dedicated to spreading love and appreciation to fanworks and their creators. Ship hate of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in a block.

With that said, let's talk about the criteria for an underloved ship and why we're defining it the way we are.

Definition & Explantion

There is one qualifier for a ship to be eligible for this list: less than 100 fics were written for it and posted to Ao3 during 2023.

We landed on this metric for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it casts a very wide net for pairings while still narrowing the field a fair bit. The gulf of works between flagship pairings, endgame pairings, and some of the larger side/non-canon pairings is significant. Secondly, we wanted to take a look at how the fandom is currently, which is why we pivoted away from using the Wildflower System ( @cr-summer-wildflowers ) of excluding any pairing with more than 500 fics total. There are a number of pairings that were extremely popular at one point in time, but these days get far less love and attention. Let's take Widofjord for example. They have almost a thousand fics total and were in the Top 10 relationship tags for Critical Role on Ao3 for a long time. But last year? Only 27 fics were written for them. They have, functionally, become a rarepair.

So, to be fair to ships that exist in that same, nebulous space, we're looking at totals from last year, not lifetime.

For illustration purposes, here are charts (compiled by the wonderful @spottedenchants ) showing how many fics were written for each PC/PC ship last year.

Ineligible Ships

Which ships, then, don't qualify under that definition? It's not a terribly long list. PC endgame relationships, primarily, a handful of non-canon pairings, and some prospective endgame ships. For simplicity's sake, we'll break them down by campaign.

Campaign 1: Perc'ahlia, Vaxleth, Pikelan, Perc'ildan

Campaign 2: Shadowgast, Beauyasha, Fjorester, Widomauk

Campaign 3: Imodna, Dorym, Ashrym

If one of these pairings is secondary or background to a fic, that's alright! But the fic shouldn't focus or center on them. It's also worth noting that polyamorous ships that include one of these pairs are also alright! Shadowidomauk, for example, only had 61 fics written for it last year, so they're in the clear! The same goes for Dashrym, as another example, as they've only ever had 36 fics written for them.

It is also worth noting all accepted submissions must be respectful of character’s canon sexualities; for example, we will not take fics that feature an M/F pairing of a lesbian character, even if said pairing fits the “rarepair” criteria.

The caveat to the above would be queerplatonic fic! There will be an option on the submission form to specify, to avoid confusion due to Ao3’s lack of a designated QPR relationship tag!

So when does the list open for submissions?

Very soon! February 7th, next Wednesday! The opening theme with be Fluff, and that list will be posted a week later, on Valentine’s Day, February 14th! I hope we’ll see you then! 🩷

Question one - Do you believe in endogenic plurality

🤚(NA) - I believe in it but am against it / 👇(NU) - Other

To dive a bit better I do believe in the possibility of experiencing something similar to plurality without the disorder, does this means it would be the same kind of plurality than systems with CDD? Of course not because they're not the same thing, even some people with the disorder don't consider themselves plurals/systems so saying is an only CDD experience it's kinda wonky

I don't believe there's such a thing like "endo system" because system in the context of plurality has been use to explain the CDDs so using it for another types of internal experience that has nothing to do is straight up ableist

I'm also against the endo community because of the way the present and handle thing

🔸(NSP) - Shared spaces are good but there should also be specific spaces for disordered, traumagenic, endogenic, etc spaces.

It's good to have shared spaces even outside the plural things, but it's' also important to have specific spaces for the ones who don't want to be in more general ones or want to be in a more specific side if they need to, just like any other space it's good to have the general one and the specific one and respect each others boundaries

Names that are really closed it's not ok to keep them if not given as their disrespectful to the culture, but even with some cultures being close that doesn't mean the names will be closed

So it's more of depends on the name context rather than "the name is from x culture?"

I don't believe one can diagnose oneself as the disorders are very complex and has a lot of things going on, specially when a lot of things go an overlap with symptoms and conduct behavior on the individual, not just when talking about complex dissociative disorders but for any kind of mental health disorder

Just like physical things you can't diagnosis with some body sickness, sure you can have your suspicions and recognize you might have something based on what you know about it but you can be correct or incorrect about your suspicions, the same happens here

I don't believe you can diagnosis yourself, I believe you can self recognize to have a complex dissociative disorder but using medical diagnosis names while it's just a suspicions I think is wrong, doing enough research like a very good one that takes you several reading months I see that the recognizement of the symptoms can be explained by the system phenomena, but don't claim a specific type of CDD please, that's something only the professionals can do

If they have the diagnosis of a complex dissociative disorder they can use the term system just for describing the alters, if they're gonna describe another part that isn't dissociated and therefore a symptom of the disorder use another term, just like using two different terms at the same time to be respectful with the disorder, yk what I mean?

Question twelve - Endogenic systems using the term 'alter'

🐛 (EAD) - If they are diagnosed / 🐝 (ESO) - I think they should use other terms

Is the same explanation as the above just change system with alters and that, doesn't have lot of backup explaining outside that

AHH i love this question as i am also a person with near sightedness and astigmatism i love the idea of wizards with astigmatism seeing those light streaks (which might be called a refractive error?) coming from the wisps and spells and i think this absolutely would happen to them. in my head, i think wizards with astigmatism would have to get special lenses to correct the fuzzy or streakiness from their spells which might cause them to unfocus - and therefore - fizzle. (thats just what i think though, i dont know if there is an actual in universe explantion for what causes fizzling. i assume that fizzling has to do, at least in part, with vision because the spell smokescreen kind of implies that with the name and the sun school accuracy enchantments have names like "keen eyes" ?????) not to mention things like depth perception when casting spells, i would fuck that up even with my glasses on i like to imagine a young wizard seeing a diviner or pyromancer cast one of their spells, mentioning something about the streaks/fuzziness around their spell, and then having the diviner or pyromancer look at them like they're crazy. or alternatively, the other wizard has an "I KNOW RIGHT??" moment (they both need to get their eyes checked)

I find it extremely funny how the author and sometimes the fans will often try to set up Coven 666 as the evil witch group who are super cool and besties, and cool and badass. When it’s actually just two girls who are lovers and one girl they force to tag-a-long so verbally abuse the girl because she's joke :))). It’s really fucked up since Dot is supposed to be the “fat girl” whose powers are to literally make chocolate and be kicked around by her peers because of her weight since it's comedic (or “satirical” which is crazy)

 It frustrated me so much because In Book 2 she started to lose weight and gained friends and somewhat became popular because of it (which is already self-explantation bad ). Andail and Hester proceed to constantly bully and physically abuse Dot for it. This led her to stress eat about her situation because their shit was overwhelming her. But yea they're best friends!!! They're best friends guys!!! The narrative says so.. It’s crazy how she always gets the short end of the stick. When Hort was also a character abused by his peers and also starts to  “better himself” He gained popularity because of it. Rhe narrative praised him for his glow-up and he was given importance.  But that energy was never given to Dot....Interesting

Here’s the thing: I'm an insane person. I’ve dissected this bit several times in my head and concluded that what we see in the show is (at least) the second revision of the script. The first version almost definitely included Martha giving mouth-to-mouth.

This is why this bit, while flirty, is still ambiguous enough to fly over most people’s heads if they aren’t looking for it (I’m always looking for it).

Because there truly is no other explantation for this other than him trying to get another kiss!

Look beneath the cut for my humble (completely and utterly mentally ill) dissertation…

So, why would they change it? More than likely because someone in the writer’s room pointed out the obvious fact that if they want people to believe the romance/attraction is one-sided, Ten deliberately tricking Martha into kissing him probably isn’t the best way to go about it.

But if she never gives him mouth-to-mouth, no harm no foul, right?

Only, without mouth-to-mouth, the last line doesn't really make sense.

I'll break it down:

The Doctor needs life-saving measures from Martha

Martha runs over intending to provide CPR (again)

We find out he was just pretending

For some reason, he says, “You’re making a habit of this.”

What does that last line mean, exactly? What is Martha making a habit of... thinking about giving him CPR?

The line only makes sense if it's left over from an original version; one where she did attempt to give him mouth-to-mouth, just as the entire setup would lead one to believe he'd deliberately been anticipating.

(Even watching the scene without reading the script, we don’t see Martha “tilting his head back for CPR”. We don’t even see her starting to give CPR—we just see her checking to see if he’s breathing.)

Now, imagine this scene again—but imagine that Martha does provide CPR. It would make sense (and be almost cripplingly flirty) for Ten to make that joke, as the implied “habit” would be the aforementioned mouth-to-mouth. The joke would also land with much more solid footing, considering both Martha and the audience would recognize that the only one making a habit in this scenario is him.

Doctor needs life-saving measures

Martha performs mouth-to-mouth (again)

The Doctor, having been faking it, opens his eyes

"You're making a habit of this."

The implication would be obvious: "It's almost like you're trying to kiss me." When in reality, the only reason he could possibly have had for faking it in the first place was because he wanted another kiss of life (a trope that already takes place between them 1, 2, 3 other times [not even counting the genetic transfer]).

So, while I know this is a ton of text and I sound insane and I have no idea if anyone is actually going to read this, I'm pretty sure that yes, Ten wanted that very thing—but the obviousness of it was cut from the script.
