Well I saw that you’re bored and wanted to ask maybe we can get Johnny after a long sleepless night (bc of nightmares) finding Simon smoking outside. Just both of them sharing a smoke and the silence. A bit of fluff and just existing together.

Soap groaned, wacking his head into a pillow as he still failed to sleep. He'd went to bed at a decent time too. 9pm in the hopes to get some semblance of sleep, but no, he'd had a few fitful nightmares and over all got about 30 minutes and it was now, what?

He rolled over checking the time. 3am. He'd been laying here for a whole six hours, as had barely gotten any shut eye, he was feeling worse then when he went to bed.

Deciding there really was no point in staying laying in bed, when all he was doing was getting more riled up and frustrated, he slipped his shoes on.

Soap quietly slipped out into the cool air, hoping a calm walk would settle his mind and allow him to get at least an hour conked out before the morning. He sighed as the cool air rushed over his skin, much better than the stuffy room he was tossing and turning in.

He started off mindlessly, not really paying attention to where he was going, just wandering around the base absently, letting his mind wander.

As Soap walked he saw a dark shape he immediately recognised as Ghost, and considering the small bit of smoke he could see, Ghost was either smoking or on fire. Soap reckoned it was the first, but you could never be sure with the lieutenant.

He slid up beside the hulk of a man. “Cannea bum one?”

It was only when he actually looked over he realised Ghost didn't have his mask lifted above his mouth like usual, he wasn't wearing on at all, his face was bare, something Soap had never seen.

A cigarette was pushed gently into his hand, and when he put it between his lips, Ghost leaned forward, lighting the top with his own.

Soap nodded, “Preciate it, LT” he murmured taking a drag, letting eyes wander over the skyline, and the way the light reflected on Ghost's features.

A thick hand brushed against his on the railing, not holding, just resting against. A subtle support, before Ghost finally spoke. “What are you doing up at this hour sargent?”

Soap paused taking another drag as he considered his answer, considering one of his typical responses, a joke to brush it off, but there really wasn't a point. “Couldn't sleep… nightmares”

He received a soft hum from the other as a comfortable silence settled over them, the biting chill of the air, and watching the smoke swirl and spiral. It was calm, and nice. Soap didn't have to pretend with Ghost.

He knew he could expand further if he wanted, and Ghost would listen. But he also knew Ghost wouldn't push.

He would be content to just exist with Soap.

And Johnny thought he could just exist with Simon at any point in time, anywhere, any universe.

And when I day someone I mean him.

Getting up late, I'll cook breakfast and wash the dishes while he watches YouTube or even better plays guitar and we are just lazy together.

Bathing together. Rubbing his back and braiding his hair while watching some stupid movie.

Baking together and telling each other off for eating thr dough. Little top of the head kisses and then I'll cook us a good dinner and when I clean he is there hugging me from behind.

We go to bed, maybe reading a boon to one another and just existing together.

When Wade handed Logan his dog and said “hold please” and Logan DIDN’T immediately drop the dog? I knew then that the Wolverine has officially become wrapped around Deadpool’s little finger.

Not to mention Logan straight up talking to the dog. Fully talking to the dog knowing neither Wade or Nicepool are even paying attention. Logan is a sucker for every Deadpool including Dogpool.

This is not really an ask, and I might be a big incoherent.

I just want to say I find it really funny that Ernesto/Fellow, in one of your Playful Land comics, acknowledged the fact that your Yuu just…has no face. I don’t remember anny other characters mentioning it.

I mean, this random guy(?)(gender-neutral) is just walking around with no face, and no one really seems to notice it. Like, they’re magicless, it is implied that they come from a world with no magic, but they can see with a face that has no eyes. Does anybody ask about it? No. They’re all like “Oh look, It’s Yuu, the prefect or Ramshackle” and carry on with their day. Hilarious.

now, let's be fair, this is NRC (and also a world in which Rook exists, as a real human being who's allowed to just walk around and be Like That, legally, somehow). their first meeting was Yuu busting out of a coffin screaming "WHERE AM I. ALSO WHO AM I" and then immediately getting set on fire by their cat. is it really any wonder that Fellow was the first person in a position to actually notice/be tactless about the, y'know, whole faceless thing. everyone was probably just like "wow, okay, rude" (or would have been if they weren't being actively transmogrified at the time, but it's the thought that counts).

(tangentially, one of Fellow's home screen lines is basically "I was pretty freaked out when I saw Ortho for the first time, but now I realize that this school is just absolutely buckwild all the time" and it's my favorite. this man is a lifelong criminal who's indirectly murdered dozens(?) of people and even he's like "something is deeply wrong with these people".)

Miles: -completely unnecessary. Doing a Steel Samurai reboot so soon after the series ended is a foolish decision, everyone will be directly comparing the two from the moment the first episode drops. I don't believe they even have a fresh direction for the show, the only difference will be the cgi. God forbid we rock the boat and follow a new character! It's abundantly clear to me that the studio executives are cowards.

Phantom is a member of JLA when everyone finds out that the Bats have contingency plans against everyone else.

While everyone else is shouting about trust and betrayal, Danny can't help but be relieved. He's seen his bad future, after all. Dan is reformed now, but that doesn't retroactively save the timeline he wiped out.

Danny only has one issue with the contingencies for him: Batman mistakenly believes that his intangibility works the same as Martian density shifting.

It doesn't. In fact, they're very different powers. Intangibility is more of a phase shift where he turns his physical form into energy.

This means that none of the contingencies in his file will work because they don't accurately account for one of his basic powers.

(The shouting actually gets derailed for a bit when he brings it up. All the scientists are a bit horrified about the implied energy conversions happening whenever he uses this "basic" power. As a halfa with an actual physical form, Danny should be giving off enough energy to blow up the planet whenever he transforms.)

lucanis is a 'I could sit in our quiet kitchen on a grey tuesday afternoon drinking coffee and talking with you about nothing much in particular forever and be the happiest man who ever lived' romantic, not a 'classic tropes and grand gestures' romantic. this is a distinction and conceptual gap I personally feel is crucial to understanding what's going on with him when romanced. for all his almost painful sincerity and clear depth of feeling he's not a very effusive guy by nature, but in the history of time no one has ever, with their whole soul, chest and being, been so genuinely and openly happy to just do laundry and taxes with you.

getting older can be so amazing? you get more familiar with yourself. learn tips & tricks for troubleshooting your own brain. trial & error helps you build routines that minimize discomfort, maximize reward. your preferences/interests don't get set in stone, but you do find out which ones are going to stay with you in the long-term, and which ones are fun but transient joys to appreciate in the moment.

you learn that the world is so much more complex than you were taught, and that that's okay, and that there's an endless supply of things you can learn or watch or experience or think about if you want to. if you're lucky, you loosen up, stop putting so much pressure on yourself. if you're lucky, you learn to recognize that negative inner voice, and whack it with a baseball bat until it hushes up. if you're lucky, you learn to treat yourself gently, not because you are fragile but because you are worthy of gentleness. (i hope you are lucky.)

and some things will change. some things will get better. some things will get good. and maybe you start to recover from the dehumanizing stress of childhood/education. maybe you learn the power of your own autonomy. maybe you learn how to walk away from bad situations (which is a superpower even if you don't realize it yet). and you get to choose your own clothes. and your own food. and which relationships to pursue! and what you do with your free time. and with your life (but don't worry you get to choose that gradually). and that's crazy! and sometimes scary. and extraordinarily, indescribably precious.
