Breathtaking….

Valeria Kuznetsova & Even Capitaine in the White Swan Pas de Deux. She’s only in her first year at the Mariinsky, but she already looks like a mature artist. Her swan arms are exquisite, and the musical phrasing is perfection. I have high hopes for her.

Even Capitaine has officially joined the Mariinsky as a First Soloist. He has taken part in several performances as a guest dancer last summer and throughout this year before joining as a permanent member of the company. Previously he was a soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus from 2016 to 2022.

I don't know how long ago your grand ballet tv show post was (where you said capitaine hasnt been on the playbill for a while), but he's back! he's listed for carmen suite on the 19th

I wrote that recently, but I had noticed a while ago that Even Capitaine was injured. I haven’t seen a lot of his dancing since he joined the company, but I do recall that Catherine Pollack wrote something interesting on IG about Skorik & Capitaine. She described them as transformative in Giselle, each elevating the others’ dance to a newly discovered realm, and she sensed the budding of a very special partnership. That had my attention…and then he disappeared due to injury. So, I’m hoping to watch Skorik & Capitaine together soon! Glad he’s back.

So that is the long response to your anon!

The only other current Mariinsky partnerships that seem to have that kind of special spark is Shakirova & Kim and Tereshkina & Belyakov.

Speaking of injury, Camilla Mazzi has been out for a couple of months now. I don’t believe she made any kind of announcement,but I saw her on crutches in someone’s New Year’s story — so I suspect she has a long rehab road ahead of her.

I love several things about this:

'Please forgive me' implying that somehow this is Qs fault or Q asking for forgiveness because he could not help Picard.

this is just such a horrifying brutal way to die. Purely animalistic.

'This shouldn't have happened. Not to you' meaning Q would not be this upset if it happened to someone else. That perhaps Q even wishes that it happened to someone else

Since you seem love angst: Q could probably fix this but there is something about a godlike entity being so emotional attached to a mortal that for several moments when they see that mortal in harmed they just freeze up. They forget what they are and all Q can do right now is stare at the torn upen corpse of his 'capitaine'.

But Q can fix this. Q can fix the problem of Picards mortality. The problem is that in the end Picard would/does not want Q to 'fix' his mortality. So, en event where Q becomes convinced that he can never let any harm come to Picard and becomes obsessed with the thought of protecting Picard could in the end result in a fate worse than death for the Captain.

I love the little detail that Q himself has blood on his uniform.

I love me some angst, especially when it's coming in the form of remorse from a chaos god of the universe who's not supposed to feel that way about mortal beings that should matter far less to him.

CURTIS BROS AS SOCS

okay my friend told me about this au and I GOT INTO IT FR sooo forgive me for a long post lol (Warning: yes the soc versions of the boys are flawed af, they're not as close in this au)

That quote about the gang being only thing that keeps Darry from being a soc always kills me but there ya go 😫 He's one of the most popular guys in school and the capitain of the football team 💞 But also he gets hella good grades 🤩 people are scared to get in his way 😔

Next is Soda!! He's loved by EVERYONE which gets into his head sometimes. People voted him for the school president just for his charm. He played in commercials since he was little and his dream is being in a Hollywood movie (even tho he doesn't care about acting, he just wants to see his face on a big screen). Hates studying lol but does it to satisfy his parents 🤭

And the last is Ponyboy!!! Yes, I had to give him glasses, bro reads way too much. He's the overachiever (Rory Gilmore coded) Smartest person in school but also the most active one out of the three. He runs the school newspaper, he runs track, he's in the art club and debate club, all of that stuff. Harvard is his mission so he'll do any extracurriculars 💞

Also I'd like to think that there's a smaller age difference between them in this au, just to see them interact in school shhshshs.

Additional headcanons: they don't hang around at school, they're so focused on doing their own thing and kinda embarrased of eachother (more of that they care about eachother lol), Darry and Soda have huge beef with greasers, mainly cause Ponyboy gets picked on by them (being little nerdy and all), yes Darry and Soda bully people, Pony doesn't but he thinks he's better than everyone ✊

I *Love* French Sanji, so so much. He means the world to me!!

I imagine him yelling swears in French, and calling his beloved Nami-Swan "Mon Amour" (My Love).

He would TOTALLY yell insults at Zoro, and then Zoro would just be like, "FUCK YOU I SPEAK JAPANISE!!" or whatever One Piece characters speak.

Little does Zoro know, his Love Cook actually yells complements, like

"TAIS-TOI AVANT DE RUINE TON VISAGE CHAUD !!"

(SHUT UP BEFORE I RUIN YOUR HOT FACE!!)

or

"Tu n'as pas le droit d'être aussi beau et aussi agaçant en même temps!!"

(YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE THIS PRETTY AND THIS ANNOYING AT THE SAME TIME!!"

Zoro (or the rest of the crew... exculding our queen Robin ofc) would never find out of course.

He probably talks to Robin in French, maybe even helping her out on it a little on the extremely rare occasion where she misspeaks.

Vivi is a princess, I wonder if she knows at least a LITTLE bit of French, or any type of foren language. I bet shes asked him for lessons one or two times.

Also, Zeff is French too bc I said so. He probably talks to Zeff in French like 24/7 and the rest of the baratie just goes along with it, some people might even pick up a little French.

I love the thought of all the chefs at the Baratie just being one big family.

Some French nicknames for the Strawhats would include:

Luffy - Capitaine (Captain)
