Hey hey! Yeah ive noticed when it comes to actual toxic shadowvanilla (or even closer to cannon) they dont get in depth of it. It feels like theres something MISSING! Ackkkkkkk i am a beliver of them being mutually toxic to each other (especially tr) If TR did for some reason truly became a cookie of decite, it would not end well for either of them! Think about it, shadow milk wants someone who understands BUT how he wants Pure vanilla to be a cookie of decite. One of you turn "good" now!", I like to think the toxicity still lives through Awakened PV since he's both Truth AND Deceit. Like a bright star from light years away that's actually dead, he could still act as of he were still TR to make Smilk more paranoid and obsessed with him in a more fucked up secretive way that other people wouldn't even notice because PV is already good! GENERAL LORE

main story takes place in 2014 in hurricane, utah

main location of the story includes toys/fnaf 2 animatronics + withereds (who eventually get repaired yay!) + springtrap in a boarded up backroom or basement maybe, it's the same building as fredbear's that's gone through a bajillion renovations since good ol 1979

the pizzaplex exists in this universe! it's very very new, it was a very hard decision for scott to share the rights to the characters/brand name but the company was gonna go bankrupt since it had been falling out since the whole murders thing and just interest generally declining over the years so he did it to save the company basically or else his location would've shut down

circus baby's pizza world also exists but it's been abandoned for maaaany years by this point though it's eventually re-discovered

all animatronics are sentient, (i will have a separate post with character info for the animatronics) they all have their own personalities/characters 2014 fandom style and while some have ties to the missing children none of them are possessed 24/7. not even springtrap but that's for the animatronic post

scott straight up does not tell the guards the animatronics are sentient at first because he does not know how to bring it up or if they'll even believe him because to be fair it does sound insane. they all have their own weird little stories about how they found out

all of the main guards except scott were hired pretty recently because freddy's has a hard time keeping consistent staff, the staff as it stands is the most consistent it's been in YEARS

SCOTT EMILY 31 - trans guy - bi - puerto rican - dating vincent dorian

henry and melanie emily's son - his mom passed when he was about 8 and he was raised only by henry for most of his life

idk whether or not i'm gonna include charlie at all yet, but if i do she's been dead since LONG before the story started

house burned down when he was 16 after a fire set by william, half his face was severely burned

henry made his phone mask after this, at first it was to protect the healing injuries (and as a side project for henry since he hadn't made any robotic projects in a while) but scott quickly became attached to it and he never takes it off except when he's home alone

at this point in the au nobody has seen him fully take the mask off except when he lifts the bottom of it to eat or drink (or to kiss vincent :) )

went to university for computer science, very smart with math and tech which he definitely gets from his dad

became manager of freddy's after henry retired, very familiar with the place since he grew up with it

favourite animatronic is freddy bc he's basic /j (it's actually bc of his fond early memories of fredbear). least favourite is the puppet because it deeply unsettles him

always knew the 'tronics were sentient because he grew up with them

stressed All The Fucking Time but manages to hide it pretty well.

when he doesn't hide his stress he's a bit of a bitch when he's stressed out because he doesn't know how to control it very well

overall though he's a very friendly guy :) very sweet always looking out for his employees/friends who he loves so so much

kinda goes mother hen on the nightguards LOL he's always making sure they've gotten enough sleep and that they've eaten etc

the kids at freddy's LOVE him !! especially his phone head they're very intrigued by it!! scott is the best out of all the staff with kids (none of them are *bad* with kids except vincent though and even he's not terrible with them he just doesn't know what to do with them)

his and vincent's relationship is already established by the time the story starts, they've been dating for a couple months :)

LOVES chick flicks and shows of that vein. rip phone guy fnaf baby you would've loved legally blonde.

VINCENT AFTON DORIAN 27 - identifies as a cis guy but has some sort of gender fuckery going on - gay - armenian + british - dating scott emily

william and clara afton's only child, clara died when he was very young (cough cough BECAUSE OF WILLIAM cough cough) and he was raised by william as a single father for basically his whole life

had a TERRIBLE childhood. william is like supervillain levels of bad here ok we don't fw goldverse william

didn't grow up around the restaurant like scott did since william and henry parted ways around the time he was born

was raised to be william's partner-in-crime and follow in his footsteps. had to become friends with children who his father would later kill to gain their trust. this severely impacted his social skills because growing up he never saw the point of making friends. later on his father made him actually help with the killing and hiding the evidence which fucked him up even more

was also used for william's weird fucked up science experiments. this is why he's purple and his eyes are white

his purple hair is dyed to match the rest of him, his natural colour is black

he can't feel the cold or heat very well due to the experimentation done on him, but he gets effected by it. like he can wear a tank top and shorts in the dead of winter but he could still get hypothermia

has repressed a lot of the specifics about his childhood, doesn't actually remember what exactly made him look the way he does but knows it was his dad

moved out when he was 18, completely cut contact with william, changed his last name to his mom's and never looked back. did not find out his dad died until springtrap is found

doesn't have a high school degree, worked odd jobs to sustain himself after he moved out

second-last of the main cast to be hired, hired a year and a half prior to the story, basically applies because no where else will take him and it's also a massive fuck you to his dad in his mind

nightguard, mechanic for the animatronics and sometimes a dayshift guard if things get dire

he is NOT good with kids which is why he rarely ever takes the day shift, he doesn't actively hate them but because of The Trauma he is not good with them

however he really admires how good scott is with kids :")

favourite animatronic is the puppet because it's the only one his dad had absolutely 0 part in making, least favourite is springtrap due to the whole partly-possessed-by-his-dad thing

kiiiinda always knew the animatronics were sentient because he used to read his dad's old journals, but honestly until he started working there he just figured it was his dad going crazy and then he finds out they are in fact sentient and he's like oh guess he was right about that

does not have friends outside the pizzeria staff because of the aforementioned not good with people thing

tells NOBODY he's william afton's son, scott finds out after henry visits the pizzeria and recognizes vincent

vincent is sure he'll be fired after scott doesn't contact him for 2 weeks straight until scott calls him in and they talk about it. vincent assures scott he's nothing like his father and scott assures him he doesn't think he's like him at all he just needed time to process because of what william did to others and him specifically

scott tells nobody else about vincent's dad but they all find out later on in the story

scared as shit of needles. his ear piercings are clip ons for the look he can't do piercings or anything like that

when he had to get his flu shot he took mike with him because scott was busy and he was very embarrassed about it but he couldn't do it alone and it was actually a great bonding moment even if vincent passed out upon seeing the needle

always had a HUGE crush on scott. he's very flirty and general and makes a lot of jokes honestly that's just the way he is so scott was kinda oblivious at first but he eventually realizes and now they're happily dating <3

looooves horror movies. obviously. he can't handle anything revolving around child murder because it reminds him too much of his father though

MIKE SCHMIDT 23 - cis guy - pan - half mexican half greek - dating jeremy fitzgerald

raised by his parents in hurricane, has an older sister and had a younger brother who's passed on, moved states when he was about 12, both parents are still alive and he has a good relationship with them and visits them frequently

his younger brother was killed by william which is what caused his family to move states

current roommates with jeremy, they attend the same college and were dormmates in first year (mike took a gap year) before getting an apartment together to share rent

going to college for a business degree

he and jeremy either get together near the beginning of the story or right before it starts i haven't decided quite yet but either way they end up together! 2014 jeremike my beloved

he started working at freddy's as a form of closure for himself because his brother loved freddy's before he was killed

blind in one eye due to a fight in high school where the other kid pulled a knife on him

has deep-rooted anger issues that he's trying to work on. he and vincent clashed because of this a lot when vincent first got hired because vincent never takes shit seriously Ever even when he should and it frustrated mike. they've argued a lot but they're chill now and they're bros!

but because of this when scott told mike he was dating vincent mike was like HIM??????? OF ALL PEOPLE?????????? but he's happy for them he was just surprised

favourite animatronic is bonnie because he thinks his guitar is awesome (he would LOVE rockstar bonnie i just know it), least favourite is foxy only because their similar personalities clash a LOT, mainly their anger

found out the animatronics were sentient after his dumbass got locked in the kitchen's freezer and they had to get him out. thought he was dead and hallucinating

loves puns much to everyone's dismay.... scott finds them funny but everyone else DREADS them

i think he'd LOVE breaking bad i've only watched a few episodes but i've seen enough to go yeah mike would like that

born/grew up a few states over with his mom and step dad, only child, moved to hurricane for college

roommates with mike as mentioned, a psychology major at their college and also minoring in creative writing :) (also if any of my college/uni stuff isn't accurate my bad LMAO i'm not in college yet myself and also i think the us works differently than canada for that stuff)

has a stutter because of an injury he had in his childhood

gets spooked easily. mike jokingly says that he's like a baby deer and that if you're too loud you'll scare him to death

very nice guy but veeeery awkward around people

kinda a pushover at the start of the story but he gets character development

has worked at freddy's for just under 2 years, applied after mike and he became roommates and he was job hunting and mike (reluctantly) suggested freddy's to him because they're in dire need of employees

he and vincent get along shockingly well! vincent is good at distracting him when he's panicking, which happens a lot during night shifts especially

he's basically the closest thing scott has to a business partner, if scott ever has to take time off he's the stand-in manager

favourite animatronic is toy freddy because they're both gamers baybee!! he does not have a least favourite he loves them all :)

the only one to actually get told abt the whole sentient animatronics thing. scott sits him down after jeremy gets attacked to tell him because everyone else knows and he doesn't know how much longer he can keep a secret... but fritz is like i know :) and scott is like THE FUCK YOU MEAN YOU KNOW?? and fritz pulls out a full notebook of weird little notes about the animatronic's behaviour and how it couldn't possibly just be AI and scott is like ok sure. well at least you don't think i'm crazy

he and mike LOVE to play games together!! mainly fighting games like mortal kombat, but they also play GTA V :)

he and vincent are the least close out of the whole cast, nothing personal they're still friends they just happen to be the least close

he and jeremy get along very well!! they're probably the calmest personalities out of the staff

he n jeremy also have a lot of the same interests tv show and movie wise so they do watch marathons a lot :D

Depersonalization!Yoshioka Headcanons!

(From someone who was professionally diagnosed with Depersonalization Disorder, and also thinks Yoshi deserves better.)

So easy to possess that Dimple finds it offputting. He describes it as Yoshioka having been sitting in the backseat already when he took control. His mind is roomy and seemingly blank, but his emotions and thoughts are actually hidden so well that Dimple has trouble accessing them. Dimple can get in easy and the body feels like his own, but Yoshioka's mind sometimes won't let him leave.

Yoshioka pushed Dimple out once, and it was the most forceful ejection Dimple had ever experienced, especially from a vessel he had complete control over. It makes him realize that Yoshioka wouldn't be easy prey at all unless he was actively trying to be.

Usually very quiet when not possessed, he spaces off a lot and struggles to reign in his focus. He's actually well versed and a good conversationalist, just bad at *starting* conversations.

His silent brooding thing reminded Reigen of how Serizawa struggles to converse, so Reigen tried to take a similar approach to helping him as with Serizawa. It did not go well, turns out Yoshioka does not need socializing advice from Reigen, but the slip up was forgiven and forgotten. They enjoy debating one another, when Yoshioka bothers to be present.

Yoshioka does NOT like to be present. Dimple is possessing him basically the entire time he's at the office. If he's on his own, he typically does not speak unless spoken to, and cuts off conversations pertaining to anything personal about himself.

He describes being in his own body as similar to puppeteering. It's stressful, and takes a lot of effort to remain in a state of clarity where he is aware of his mental state and expressions. He spent a lot of his life masking heavily and forcing himself to respond favorably to social cues.

Resting bitch face! Its gotten worse since Dimple as he's gotten used to not having to mask so much now. He feels emotions fine, he's just not a super expressive person, and anything more than little smiles or light chuckles is likely him playing up his reactions for another's benfit. Please just take his word that he's happy, he honestly is.

Was working at the office for almost two months before he and Reigen actually speak, and Reigen finds out his name.

It's really easy to tell who's in control even if you can't see Dimple's cheek spots. Yoshioka is very stiff (dimple begs reigen to give this guy massages before he accidentally snaps him like a matchstick), meanwhile Dimple has a lax confidence that compliments Yoshi's height and thin frame. Reigen is, as always, suspicious of Dimples motives, but in his own words, "he wears Yoshioka well".

Yoshioka smokes. No one knows this at first, because the habit is purely his. Dimple can't stand the taste of nicotine, so he never has cigarettes when he's in charge. It's helping to reduce Yoshi's cravings.

He's likes to address things very logically, and always has a plan a, b, and c.

Very aware of other people's emotional state, his abilities to comfort and guide someone rival Reigen's. He doesn't like to do it though. It's just easier to talk to people about themselves.

Highly uncomfortable with being touched. Shut down for a bit when Reigen patted his shoulder once. Pls pls do not make him aware that he is in a physical body and is real and cannot just exist in the background like a ghost.

Splendorman, Puppeteer, and Hoodie spending time w/ the Reader on Valentine's after they got stood up

can be seen as either purely platonic or platonic but the boys have a crush on the reader, didnt really write it with anything specific in mind!

SPLENDORMAN:

oh he would feel for you when you come home visibly upset... pulls you to him and hugs you, rubs your back... how dare that person hurt you ! i think he would try to make an at home date to try to make you feel better... doesnt hold back; hes going to put on a playlist for ambience, hes going to try to make a nice dinner.. hes going to light candles, get flowers. hes going to make it as gushy as he can, he doesnt care if it makes him look like some lovesick dork, the soft chuckle you let out when you see the scene he curated for you is what he was aiming for. even if he saw you only as a friend i think he would still do this.. this method of cheering you up is definitely better than trying to badger you into feeling better

HOODIE:

a lot more casual than splendorman, but i do think he would still do something for you. sits you down on the couch, signs to you that hes going to handle dinner so youre not going to be sitting down wondering what the hell hes doing. hes not the best cook, but hes not terrible. hes going to attempt to make one of your favorite foods, if the ingredients are available.. i think it would turn into you guys eating and watching a movie together. urges you to go to bed early, though, especially if youve been crying. for someone who seems so nonchalant or neutral most of the time, hes very firm when it comes to you taking care of yourself. sweetens everything up by making you breakfast, too. not too good of a verbal comforter but he might sign some... not so nice things about your date

PUPPETEER:

usually hes not going to be the one to bend over backwards for anyone, or do any grand gestures like the other two... but... seeing you upset ticks something inside him, i mean youre his silly little.... friend... it makes him feel a little rotten inside, so i think he might force you to sit down. "stop making that face, you're going to set wrinkles in your pretty little face" as he works his hands into your shoulders trying to undo the tension. definitely a self care do-er in terms of face masks and that sort of thing. plus its soothing to him in a way, kind of like dressing up a doll. weird though process, but puppeteer is a little odd like that. you two talk shit about your date, puppeteer really being the one to initiate it as he does your nails. bonus if he paints your yellow to match his. oh hes going to talk so much shit so get ready, hes going to totally unload

What is the favourite & least favourite animatronic or each of the Aftons & Emilys? Given what I now know about William, I'm especially curious to see if any managed to break their way past his dislike of making them.

This might actually be able to be my shortest ask! (Edit: okay, never mind 💀 prepare for a yap session, answers below as usual!) Also, sorry for the late response, I recently moved so it's been a little hectic!

William: Uh, he basically hates all of them 😭😭 there isn't one that particularly was his favorite in terms of creating them (he likes designing them though!) I guess the closest to a favorite animatronic is Springbonnie since he uses it a lot (it's literally designed to fit him) , but even then he doesn't really like it. Henry originally created the springlock suit ideas to save money, and look how that turned out for Will there! (Believe me if Will had fully kept his memory when awoke as Springtrap, he would have been PISSED, I mean he was still pissed when he became Springtrap but still !!)

Clara: She also wasn't too receptive to the way the animatronics look, but her 'favorite' was probably Freddy since he looked the least 'dead inside' as she said (...major foreshadowing there lmao) Her least favorite was probably the springlock animatronics like Fredbear and Springbonnie, they always kinda freaked her out as a concept (she'll also eventually hate the Funtime animatronics, since...yk 👀)

Michael: Foxy, he was the least dorky out of the main cast (and c'mon he owns a Foxy mask!) Anyways he also thinks the Glamrocks are sick as hell (and since there's no Foxy variant, and also because he thought it would be weird to possess a girl robot, he picked GlamFred, which like good choice) his least favorites are probably anyone else who isn't Foxy or the Glamrocks lmao

Elizabeth: She liked Chica when she was younger, because that was the only girl animatronic at the time, but that quickly changed when Circus Baby came into the spotlight! Her father made her just for her! (He actually only said that to get her to leave him alone, the 'similarity' is a coincidence) And funnily enough, Baby will also become her least favorite!

Evan: You think he likes *any* of these guys?? HELL NO !! (Actually, when he was about toddler age, he didn't have his extreme phobia of robots yet. His old favorite was Springbonnie because he knew it was always his dad under the suit!) Anyways a little while later he developed his intense fear of animatronics. He hates all of them !!

Henry: He is insanely proud of the fact he came up with the Springlock mechanism (and was in fact considering fixing the main gang to BECOME springlock suits too until William's accident where he almost fucking died lmao) so his original favorites were the springlock suits (and Freddy, mostly because Henry was meant to play Fredbear, and yk Freddy is a variant of Fredbear so...) But he will also hate every animatronic too. (Exception of the Puppet/Lefty cause yk that's his daughter, and Helpy !! Does he even count as an animatronic?)

Charlie: To be honest she wasn't really into the animatronic restaurant idea, so she's neutral on them. No favorite and no least favorite. She finds them all a little creepy!

okay, so, when the eccentric party night mv and outfits dropped, i was looking at shu with the outfit (because i like seeing if any outfits he gets match with mao as shumao are one of my fave in-game duos of all time) and, i had a thought...:

the five eccentrics except they have a secret sixth member that only they know of. eichi and mugi didn't reel mao in on this, rei did.

it's a super angsty au that heavily themes on in-game mao being basically just a puppet for every member (especially rei, because out of all of these guys, rei would know mao best.) and like, because of the way mao is, the guys can trick him in their own ways and in the au, the five eccentrics are anti-heroes. idk how to explain this sjsjs

it's basically: 5e are still a group during "!!" and forward (because i know NOTHING about the 5e story and anything from "!" other than what goes om in the anime, and this is an au, anyway. so i can go off the rails if i want.) but with slipping mao in.

this idea literally came up because mao matches the outfits with his spotlight time outfit- sjssj i have some things written about this au in docs hold on lemme get it up!

RELATIONSHIPS WITH MAO:

Rei Sakuma and Mao Isara — Rei, out of all of the Five Eccentrics, knows Mao best. From knowing about him when seeing the young beaujolais-haired boy when the two were younger, to often seeing him around StuCo (“!”) and knowing that Mao looks up to him majorly.

Rei is seen as kind in this AU, but the kindness is a facade. A mask that only weaklings can't see through. Because he knows about Mao and his various roles, he uses his fake kindness to get to Mao. Basically, he manipulates Mao like a puppeteer would to his puppet toy.

Rei knows how to get into Mao's mind, making him believe that he and the rest of the Five Eccentrics are the good people…

Kanata Shinkai, Shu Itsuki and Mao Isara — in this AU, these two are the ones who worry for what is happening to Mao. Worried and caring for him in both of their own and unique ways. The two hint to Mao about what Rei is trying to achieve, why Rei is obsessed with wanting Mao a part of the F.E group. But does Mao take the hints, or is he just that naive to every word that spills into his sweet mind?...

Natsume Sakasaki and Mao Isara — Natsume hates Mao entirely. He doesn't like how this young Trickstar member, who works for the StuCo (“!”) suddenly weaved himself into the group. It's already bad enough that he's taken Natsume's dream of wanting to be a part of the Trickstar unit, and now this? It's like as if Mao Isara only exists to follow him and ruin his dreams. He especially doesn't like how close Shu and Kanata are getting to Mao either…

To show his loyalty to the Five Eccentrics and wanting to be seen as the only and most favourite junior of both Rei's and in general of the group, he spies on Mao and Kanata and Shu and reports/grasses up on the three to Rei about any and every action possible…

Wataru Hibiki and Mao Isara — Wataru also doesn't like Mao in the group, since Mao joined there's been an odd ripple between the five that not even Wataru himself can fix. Except, instead of showing his hatred like how Natsume does, Wataru uses Mao for his own chores and needs and even likes to spook and prank him in more extreme ways than he does with people in general…

He's seen the way that Mao acts after mysteriously leaving for quite some time during hang out hours with the rest of Trickstar and Basketball Club, and admittedly, it does worry him. His best friend looks more and more tired and less of himself with each round Mao comes back to Subaru and whichever of the two groups he's with.

OUTFITS:

For the outfits, everyone keeps what is shown up in the photos above this paragraph and everything else written, including Mao. Except, with Mao's outfit, it was made by the Five Eccentrics instead of the Producer. (More specifically: it was made by Shu Itsuki with perhaps the help of Rei Sakuma and Wataru Hibiki for when it comes to the idea of planning out Mao's said outfit.) He doesn't wear it for the sake of being in the unit, though, Rei and perhaps Wataru just like seeing him in the outfit as a just a reminder for what Rei has in plans for Mao... and also to go against Eichi.

The outfit of Mao's is connected to the whole “Puppet Mao” idea in some way, on Rei’s/the Five Eccentrics side of this story. With Eichi and away from the F.E, Mao just wears the usual clothing that he does: school uniform, trickstar uniform, casual outfits, etcetera.

a/n: hiii my loves!! i originally wrote this with an oc of mine in place of ‘y/n’— but i’m being self indulgent rn, lolol. i also have this written in my more… serious? descriptive? writing style so i hope u guys still like it <3

"You look..." He pauses, sizing up her new self. An entirely different person from the glamorous paradise called childhood. One he hasn't yet become acquainted with yet, a stranger from the past; "Different."

A forced laugh left her throat, still circling around him like a vulture. The short heels of her boots were heavy with every step. Loud thumps with every stride echoing through the room, done on purpose. To scare him, perhaps? Assert dominance over the situation? He wasn't sure. Nor was he faltering.

"And you think you don't?"

Her voice. God, her voice. Sweet like honeydew, dripping off every word she said. Velvety and collected, confident, dangerous. Attractive. He knew better though, one taste of such a forbidden fruit- especially right now- would make him a corpse. Now wasn't the time to mend old wounds or reopen old scars that long healed. She was filled with poison, and her intentions were clear.

To kill him using it.

She was right though, Genji had no place to talk regarding looks. Behind the cold visor that shielded his face, his scarred skin served as a permanent reminder of just how different he'd look from decades ago. (Tilting his head slightly, a fleeting thought wondered if he should take it off, as the woman encircling him did with her own; his rational side decided against it.) Yes, her looks were slightly contradictory compared to memories of the past, but by heavens, was she still beautiful. If it were any other situation, the cyborg knows he would have turned to stone under such a siren's gaze.

Unfortunately it felt like someone was using a mask, puppeteering the image of an old friend. To toy with him, perhaps? Was this the universe's way of punishing him once more, as if the stars haven't already pushed him to the point of no return once? As a sick joke, was it going to happen once more? Genji didn't want to know. He wish he never had to know. He always did.

The man stayed silent, hand gripping the base of his katana like a lifeline. The crushing wave of emotions was enough, he needed to get what she had. The USB. I have to stick to the mission.

"Hm?" She tilted her head, halting her circulation to look up at the metal man in front of her. "Oh, were you looking for this?" Dangling the USB in front of him, she giggled. It sounded so foreign coming from her. The sound was not filled with warmth or joy this time, but rather malice and mockery.

Unsurprisingly it was still his favorite sound, despite the bitter taste it left atop his tongue.

Among the still room, with no reaction from the still as a statue ninja, she groaned. "You've gotten so boring, my love. What happened to you?"

Within seconds Genji drew his blade out and charged at her, shurikens already flying within microseconds.

Although this just seemed to entice her, as she was much faster. Scarily quicker than he. Dodging every one of the metal weapons he threw, catching one between her fingers and throwing it right back at him.

What the fuck? He didn't even have time to think that before it scratched his visor. Ok, whatever, just a scratch. Maybe Angela could fix it later. He once again swung his sword at the agile woman, getting her a few times, a swift exchange of his blade and her metal claws clashing and clinging within the room; a few computers breaking and falling to the ground with her pouncing and dodging almost every swing. It was like trying to pick up a very unruly cat, fighting her. Genji was growing more irritated by the second, he saw no other option left, he was going to unleash his blade; use the aid of his dragon.

He had to act fast; throwing his shurikens at her but purposefully missing, she takes a moment to look at them and mock him– maybe– and– there.

He hooked his ankle under hers and made her fall to the ground in one swift move. Which undoubtedly caught her by surprised judging by the "wah!" that escaped her lips. It would have been funny, if this wasn't a fight for crucial information stored in the USB she had. He couldn't mess up. He shouldn't.

Bringing down his sword to go for the shoulder connected to the arm that held the small drive, victory was at the tip of his fingers, then-

Cling!

Her claws met his blade.

She stopped his attack. His sword was in her hands, her claws bared.

"Aww, Genji," She cooed, a fake feign of embarrassment coating her words. "If you wanted to get on top of me so bad, all you had to do was ask."

Guard completely down by his plan backfiring, the woman then kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying backwards into the wall that was close by. The wind was knocked out of his lungs, causing him to struggle to breathe as he slid slowly to the floor. Fuck.

"Although, I do prefer to be taken out to dinner first." She crossed her arms and cupped her face in her USB-free hand, as if she was thinking. "I thought you already knew that, no?"

Walking towards Genji slowly, a giggle that bubbled within her throat was released; doubling over into a fit of hysterical laughter.

It sent a chill down the injured man's spine.

"Y'know what, Genji?" She crouched down to his level when she reached him, gently taking off his visor for him. If not for the shock and war going on in his chest- heart and lungs- he would have stopped her. If it was anyone else that had done this to him, he would have acted differently. This would have gone any other way. "Let me see you, it's been so long, old friend."

With the green light faded and his visor fully off of his face, she stared at him as she quietly set it down next to her. Aura around her completely different now. Facade of cockiness and mischief gone in an instant. The laughter had long subsided. Face now painted with nothing on it, a blank canvas. What she was thinking, he couldn't tell. With the faint twitch of her eyebrows wanting to come together, the slight widening and softening of her eyes, how her lips inched upwards for just a second... it was hard to decipher. If he was able to guess, a picture of bittersweetness would be brushed upon her face. She looked away for a moment.

The sound of a zip and slight clank was heard, the hand that took off his visor was bare; free from the glove she had on.

(E/c) eyes back to focusing on him, her hand went up to brush through his soft hair, then move down to his face. Genji's breathing was stable by now, a hitch within his rapid breaths as she lightly traced the scars on his face. Her touch was gentle, caring in a way; and for a moment Genji forgot the situation they were both in. Oh, how he wanted to lean into the touch. Her hand was so soft. He missed this feeling. He missed her.

But... this wasn't her. It wasn't his childhood best friend, his partner in crime, his first love.

This wasn't (Y/n), he has to remind himself.

After a few minutes passed, she finally spoke up.

"Fate was cruel to both of us, it seems." Her voice was barely above a whisper, hurt laced within her words. But Genji heard. And he agreed, nodding his head.

"It still shows to have a disliking for us." He managed to voice.

A full, dishearteningly bittersweet smile bloomed onto her face. His heart ached at the sight.

Genji was at peace with a lot of things in his life.

With the help of his dear master Zenyatta, and the supportively helpful people around him even all those years ago before Overwatch first fell; Genji was able to come to terms and accept everything of his past. He wanted to always strive to improve; to be something he wasn't when he was younger.

He was at peace with what had happened between him and his older brother; forgiving his sibling for what had happened. He has healed and come to love and accept himself within the form he was lucky to be in now. Genji also came to accept that he would never to have known what happened to (Y/n), so many moons ago. Before everything, before his father had even died. Before Hanzo was instructed to murder him. Before he was saved and rebuilt. Before everything.

(Y/N) (L/n) had gone missing.

No one knew, not even her parents. No amount of press coverage, media outlets covering her- the only daughter of a disgustingly rich family- disappearance managed to bring out her captors. If she even was kidnapped, that was. It was a mystery, an enigma to how someone as protected and looked after as her was just... gone. Some theorized it was a planned murder by the family. Some simply thought it was a kidnapping, the captors too stubborn to let her go; or even had some unclear motive to do so yet.

(Y/n) and Genji were just 18 when that happened.

But now, here she was. The missing teenage daughter, now grown into a woman, rivaling Genji as his enemy. In the worst case scenario possible. And that... that stirred Genji's soul. It hurt, in such a great amount.

"I'll be keeping these," Her soft voice snapping him back to the present as she moved from her current position. Getting up, she slipped the USB in a pocket  of her jumpsuit and attached Genji's visor on her belt, replacing her own she took off earlier. Slipping it back over her face, she started to walk towards an open window, stilling her movement for a moment to look back at the black haired man; his own face bare.

Genji himself stood up, not making any effort to actually stop her. He'd lost this fight, he knew that. He knew that as soon as she'd taken off her coverage and showed her face.

"Until we meet again." He pursed his lips slightly, brows knitting together with blended emotions. "(Y/n)."

He could hear her laugh, completely lifeless this time. "Of course, my dear friend."

With that, she jumped out of the window. Presumably with skill because when he went to look out, he saw her frame illuminated by the moonlight, running swiftly across rooftops of the buildings.

Looking back to where he was, Genji saw something glint in the dark room. Walking over to where (Y/n) stole his beloved visor (Angela's definitely going to kill him for that, he thinks), he saw her glove laying on the floor. Bending down to pick it up, Genji examined it carefully as he stood. It was smaller than his own hand, obviously, but who knew she could even wield a weapon? Especially as well as she did fighting him... and... claws? Really?

The ones on this glove were retracted. It was such an intricate design, knowing Talon they always suited their agents with the best. Unfortunately. It made his job harder, yeah, but Genji wasn't someone who backed down from a challenge.

Usually.

With tonight's mission bust being an exception.

He hated that there was a very small part of him that was calmed; at ease because yes, (Y/n) was indeed alive. After so long, she was confirmed to actually be breathing. Not only that, but she was capable to fight for herself. However, it was greatly disheartening to know that (Y/n) would be fighting against his own. Against Overwatch. Against him.

"Genji? It's been over 3 hours– how do you copy?"

The familiar sound of Winston's voice rang through Genji's earpiece.

"Ah," An uneasy feeling formed in the pits of (Y/n)'s stomach. Of course Moira needed to see her. What lovely timing the doctor had, she just wanted to report to Reyes and recover from tonight. Physically, emotionally, and mentally. "Thanks for telling me, I'll be heading to her lab then."

Sombra caught the look that flashed across her dear friend's face. She knew it all to well, and felt bad for her really. "Good luck and let me know if you need anything, yeah?"

The (h/c) haired woman murmured a silent thanks and bid goodbye with a wave as she headed over to the dreadful geneticist's lab.

bark is a very old man who just wants to do his work in peace. cloud is an introvert who is very calm and professional. smoke is pretentious and self-involved. they're a teacher at the school of solutions and endorsed flowers and descent for the esteemed position. west is a hot guy flowers knew in school that he had a short-lived fling with after his divorce. journey was rivers' admin before flowers, but then she went to the void so she had to be replaced.

There was a serious, almost impolite tone in their voices. [Name] has never been fond of working with other Stalkers, and especially not with his group. A guy with a gryphon mask on his head and a huge zweihander on his back, the leader of a group of stalkers who thought very highly of themselves. "Oh, are you already leaving us, [stalker name]? But it was so nice to see you again. I was just wondering... didn't you once say you don't like working with others?", he asked in a taunting voice before he turned his head towards P, who was standing slightly away. "But here you are with a little puppet boy following you." "He's NOT a little boy." [Name] furrowed his brows and snarled at the stalker. P had been keeping an eye on them the whole time. At first, he couldn't understand why his beloved [Name] didn't want to join the others in cleansing the area of the puppets to make it easier for them to move on. But now he was beginning to understand what [Name] was feeling. P really didn't like the way the man acted. "Oh, isn't he? I guess you just like... the pretty type of man? Listen, you could do better. My group and I have all the resources we need to continue our work and still have a decent life. Not to mention the respect and honour we receive," he added with a slight grin hidden by his mask, "I could also demonstrate to you what a true man is. One who could probably do a much better job than that little... boy toy of yours." The man reached out his hand and grabbed [Name]'s wrist tightly, pulling them closer to his body, too close.

His words were loud enough to reach P's ears, to cause the springs in his body to work faster. He couldn't understand all of his words, nor the meanings behind them, but the entire situation made him feel uneasy. In fact it made him angry, or so he thought. Or is there a different name for it? Without any hesitation, he stepped forward, a hand touching the stalker's shoulder before shoving him away from [Name]. [Name] glanced over in surprise before quickly grabbing P's Legion arm. "Hey hey, love. I'm fine." "Shit, I guess your toy isn't just for show," the man muttered in response to the puppet man's actions. "I suppose he's easy to handle like this. You can tell him what to do... sounds pretty good to me, doesn't it? You get to have your own little fu-...", before he could continue to insult him, a fist crashed into his face. The force of the blow sent him falling backwards. Much to his surprise, it wasn't the puppet that had punched him, it was them. [Name]. 

"Don't you dare say that. I swear, one more word and I will make it clear what I think about you and your group'," they yelled at him, grabbing P's hand and walking away. 

As they walked away, [Name] started to talk with P. "You know, love... you looked pretty handsome protecting me like this," [Name] mentioned with a cheeky smile before it turned gentle. "Please... don't worry. No one could ever be your replacement. No one will ever be able to be what you are to me."

Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call!! I actually discovered ordering the game from the UK with shipping was actually cheaper than ordering the American version of the game, there were no major differences that I could tell as they still had the original English voice actors.

I enjoyed this game!! Not my top favorite installment but I still had a great time and loved the new characters. The puzzles were well designed and had nice scaled difficulty and the mini games were really neat too. The Eternal Diva references were so blatant lmfao but I’m excited for Miracle Mask! I was also super exhausted when writing the summary so sorry there’s so many errors and I use the word fun a million times ToT

Summary

This was such a fun origin story for Luke and Layton. Very much a classic Layton game with world ending machinery and gorgeous environment design. I really liked both Emmy and Descole, there’s a more serious undertone than with Don Paolo as the main villain (even though I do love Don Paolo). Emmy is amazing!! I was afraid she would be sidelined like Flora was but I’m glad to she stands her ground and does what she wants to do. I alos like how we got to go on our own adventure as her to London, she’s a character that doesn’t need to rely on Hershel to solve everything. Meeting Luke was great, loved his blank stare. It was fun seeing his origins and how Clark and Hershel knew each other. I’m curious how the prequels will play into the New World of Steam, especially now that Luke’s family have stories and sprites (unlike in the original trilogy). Loved the ACAB story, v nice to play while I’m still so mad at what’s happening to university students currently. Descole was so fun, I am obsessed with his outfit and personality. Unfortunately I was spoiled on who he is but I’m very excited to learn more. I think similar to Ace Attorney, the fourth installment is that last game in the classic 2D style, which is sad but PLvsPW makes me very hopeful about 3D Layton. The overall story was fun, I really liked the sub plot about the Ravens - that was really fun (i was so tired writing this omfg). I wish we got a little more backstory on the rich guy who died, I feel like there’s more to the story. OO I loved the little episodes, especially the one about Chelmey. They added a lot of fun context and gave more life to the NPCs. Such a fun and classic Layton game, I can’t wait to play Miracle Mask! (And read the light novels). This wasn’t my favorite Layton game but I still really loved it and had a great time and loved the puzzles — that’s all I want from PL!

right off the bat, sammy and amy as adaine and aelwyn. don't have much to say on this besides i think they fit pretty well. amy would have to be a bit smarter for aelwyn's place in the story but other than that i think they fit pretty well. sammy as a wizard with anxiety but who also desperately wants to fuck up the ppl who wrong her once she gets treatment for that anxiety. also i like to think in this au that amy would have a redemption arc and she and sammy could learn how to be somewhat functional sisters.

lightning as fabian. they are both egotistical athletes with a ridiculous amount of pressure from their shitty parents and i would love lightning to have an arc where he makes friends and learns to overcome toxic masculinity

dj as gorgug! he has the capacity to rage but he doesn't want to unless its necessary which disappoints people who expect someone as big as him to be a fighter. but he just wants to give tin flowers to his friends! maybe his love for cooking turns into a love for creating and that's how he becomes an artificer. he would definitely make little mechanical animal friends. also that makes his moms wilma and digby

hear me out. priya as kristen. big worshipper of helio thanks to her parents/being his chosen one but as she goes through the world without that strong of an influence she realizes how wrong they are and breaks away from that mentality. a bit of a chaotic being as she goes through life trying to find structure again but dedicated to her friends and whatever deity she's worshiping at the time

kitty as fig. she loves her friends so so much. she wants to try so many different things. she has issues with an authoritative female figure in her life (emma/sandra lynn). i think she could rock the punk/devil aesthetic while still being so friendly and silly.

i had such a hard time figuring out who would be riz but i'm gonna say shawn. they're both conspiracy theorists who probably drink way too much coffee and get way too little sleep. i can see shawn's obsession to surviving the zombie apocalypse be turned into an obsession with solving mysteries in this world. i think it'd be funny if that made sanders sklonda because she already sorta has tired single mom trying her best energy and is (unfortunately) a cop

if kitty is fig then i can see emma as sandra lynn in an "older sister who's been raising her younger sister and who knows who her real dad is but won't say" i think there's some delicious sister angst there especially with kitty pulling away once she realizes they're actually half sisters and emma knows who kitty's dad is because she's older but won't tell her. not sure how gilear factors into the situation

So the foolish brave the depths, seeing the rotting remains of those that once were and the damn who wander, nothing more than puppets to the plague the billows throughout the halls

As the depths are finally reached, they are met with nothing but a mountain of corpses, no Liege or throne resting at the the Hollows depths

That confusion is quickly dispersed as the Mountain of the Damned quakes and soon begins to fall, giving way to what the throne turly is

Standing atop the corpses that make it's mighty throne, stands a nightmare made manifest, a horror covered in the ever rotting corpses of the fallen, O so similar to Regal garbs that adorn Royalty.

With a sickening clicking sound the nightmare turns to the foolish one, who dares challange there reign. The pompous goes to strike but is knocked back buy the ever worsening plague under the control of it's Ruler, the plague gathers before a blast hits the would-be uspur head-on

The foolish uspur laid beaten by it's own delusions and soon the plague takes grip, warping there mind and all that remains is nothing but a puppet

The Lord does not spare another glance to the new Jester of the Court as they go back to slumber upon there throne of corpses, a morrbid reminder to all that this Emperor shall suffer no insolence in there Empire

The entirety of Division 3 who were beyond curious to hear about Rider's world's monsters were all wide eyed at the story they were told.

It was Reno who broke the silence

Iharu: Ya, a lot of it seems to insane to be real, especially that * Gulp* plague part.

Rider: Actually it's all accurate, the Rotten Vale in which Vaal Hazak inhabits, is aboundant in Effluvium. It's a bacterium that grows rapidly there and cause dead tissue to decay more rapidly. It even causes monsters to act more agressively. Though Vaal Hazak is immune to the Effluvium's effect and can even control it. Though they are unable to produce it, so that is why they were the corpses of rotting monsters, to have the Effluvium growing off of them. There is also the fact they can manipulate monsters affected by Effluvium making them the absolute apex of the Rotten Vale.

Hoshina: * Nervous* I'm a bit scarred to ask but what effect does it have on humans?

Rider: On humans, well the effects aren't as bad as it is too monsters, but it will slowly but surely drain you of your energy. Thankfully the Guild has items and rquipment to negate the Effluvium effect.

( It was at this point Hoshina would start wearing his mask more)

Mina: Well that is definitely insane, to think a Monster like that exists and for it to be part of the natural enviorment

Rider: Yup, it's an important part to the safety of the Rotten Vale due to helping with the Effluvium levels.

Rider: Anyway I'm gonna go check up on.... hmmppphhh!!!

Getting grabbed by the scruff Kafka dragged Rider back to the nest he ended up building.

Reno is just used to Kafka kidnapping Rider while everyone is probably confused at the start. Not the first time this has happened considering the multiple blanket nests scattered across the city in hidden spots. Kaiju maternal instincts within Kafka are quite strong, even moreso since Ai is an enabler.

His Rider snatching record will be broken once the Fatalis story is told. Iharu is definitely the little shit who would time the whole thing.

Vanderpump Rules Reunion part 1 thoughts

The Bravo producers for VPR and The Valley are misogynists. Yeah, I said it. They are. Alex Baskin is a fucking gremlin. I know that certain things make for "good TV" but there is never an episode that goes by that men's shitty behavior isn't explained away or had excuses made and a woman is blamed for her reactions to real and actual disrespect. Lisa Vanderpump, despite all her success as a woman, is also a huge misogynist and male apologist.

2. When will they stop trying to make Katie Maloney the villain? Katie is nothing but consistent, honest and authentic. I think she has started to hold her tongue and temper a bit more than she used to in the past due to how it made her appear to the audience. She always gets a shitty edit. She always gets blamed for her attitude, never given credit for being right about anything, etc. When is Tom Schwartz going to do an interview and admit Katie was right about Jo? According to Jo he blocked her due to her "strange" behavior. Didn't Katie call this years ago? People also act like Katie not liking Tom's new weirdo pseudo-girlfriend is weird for a newly divorced couple.

3. They tried really hard to make us accept Tom Sandoval's redemption arc by using his mental health as a weapon. He accused Ariana of "faking it" when really, that was a call out of himself. HE used suicidal ideation as a weapon to make people back off of him and give him grace.

4. I'll die on this hill, TOM SCHWARTZ IS THE REAL VILLAIN OF VANDERPUMP RULES. If Schwartz has zero haters, I am dead. The way he disrespects, gaslights, makes a fool of and ridicules openly Katie, his ex-wife and ex-partner of over 10 years is FOUL. His nice guy mask drops the second anyone calls him out. Brock made the comment that Schwartz ruined Katie's confidence (Go Brock? Rare Brock W) and he suddenly snaps into reality and is offended at the idea. Scheana calls him a shitty husband and he protests "No I wasn't!" HE ABSOLUTELY WAS. He was in fact, the shittiest husband! He is a goofy/dumb nice guy until the second he's intoxicated or he's dealing with criticism from anyone, especially Katie.

5. Lauren from Utah is a production puppet that is doing and saying things to cause and stir controversy because they were afraid without that angle the show this season would be super boring. It was boring, but just for different reasons. They're trying to make Ariana an unforgiving, unrelenting bitch and Lala the "voice of reason". It's not working on most viewers.
