Depersonalization!Yoshioka Headcanons!

(From someone who was professionally diagnosed with Depersonalization Disorder, and also thinks Yoshi deserves better.)

So easy to possess that Dimple finds it offputting. He describes it as Yoshioka having been sitting in the backseat already when he took control. His mind is roomy and seemingly blank, but his emotions and thoughts are actually hidden so well that Dimple has trouble accessing them. Dimple can get in easy and the body feels like his own, but Yoshioka's mind sometimes won't let him leave.

Yoshioka pushed Dimple out once, and it was the most forceful ejection Dimple had ever experienced, especially from a vessel he had complete control over. It makes him realize that Yoshioka wouldn't be easy prey at all unless he was actively trying to be.

Usually very quiet when not possessed, he spaces off a lot and struggles to reign in his focus. He's actually well versed and a good conversationalist, just bad at *starting* conversations.

His silent brooding thing reminded Reigen of how Serizawa struggles to converse, so Reigen tried to take a similar approach to helping him as with Serizawa. It did not go well, turns out Yoshioka does not need socializing advice from Reigen, but the slip up was forgiven and forgotten. They enjoy debating one another, when Yoshioka bothers to be present.

Yoshioka does NOT like to be present. Dimple is possessing him basically the entire time he's at the office. If he's on his own, he typically does not speak unless spoken to, and cuts off conversations pertaining to anything personal about himself.

He describes being in his own body as similar to puppeteering. It's stressful, and takes a lot of effort to remain in a state of clarity where he is aware of his mental state and expressions. He spent a lot of his life masking heavily and forcing himself to respond favorably to social cues.

Resting bitch face! Its gotten worse since Dimple as he's gotten used to not having to mask so much now. He feels emotions fine, he's just not a super expressive person, and anything more than little smiles or light chuckles is likely him playing up his reactions for another's benfit. Please just take his word that he's happy, he honestly is.

Was working at the office for almost two months before he and Reigen actually speak, and Reigen finds out his name.

It's really easy to tell who's in control even if you can't see Dimple's cheek spots. Yoshioka is very stiff (dimple begs reigen to give this guy massages before he accidentally snaps him like a matchstick), meanwhile Dimple has a lax confidence that compliments Yoshi's height and thin frame. Reigen is, as always, suspicious of Dimples motives, but in his own words, "he wears Yoshioka well".

Yoshioka smokes. No one knows this at first, because the habit is purely his. Dimple can't stand the taste of nicotine, so he never has cigarettes when he's in charge. It's helping to reduce Yoshi's cravings.

He's likes to address things very logically, and always has a plan a, b, and c.

Very aware of other people's emotional state, his abilities to comfort and guide someone rival Reigen's. He doesn't like to do it though. It's just easier to talk to people about themselves.

Highly uncomfortable with being touched. Shut down for a bit when Reigen patted his shoulder once. Pls pls do not make him aware that he is in a physical body and is real and cannot just exist in the background like a ghost.

first thoughts on power of potluck (spoilers ahead!)

I like the design of ENA with a mask connected to her blue side, it's a fresh twist on a classic character. i'll definitely be drawing her like that for a while.

i like how they went even heavier on the 3D aspects of the series, especially the isometric platforming style at times

Splendorman, Puppeteer, and Hoodie spending time w/ the Reader on Valentine's after they got stood up

can be seen as either purely platonic or platonic but the boys have a crush on the reader, didnt really write it with anything specific in mind!

SPLENDORMAN:

oh he would feel for you when you come home visibly upset... pulls you to him and hugs you, rubs your back... how dare that person hurt you ! i think he would try to make an at home date to try to make you feel better... doesnt hold back; hes going to put on a playlist for ambience, hes going to try to make a nice dinner.. hes going to light candles, get flowers. hes going to make it as gushy as he can, he doesnt care if it makes him look like some lovesick dork, the soft chuckle you let out when you see the scene he curated for you is what he was aiming for. even if he saw you only as a friend i think he would still do this.. this method of cheering you up is definitely better than trying to badger you into feeling better

HOODIE:

a lot more casual than splendorman, but i do think he would still do something for you. sits you down on the couch, signs to you that hes going to handle dinner so youre not going to be sitting down wondering what the hell hes doing. hes not the best cook, but hes not terrible. hes going to attempt to make one of your favorite foods, if the ingredients are available.. i think it would turn into you guys eating and watching a movie together. urges you to go to bed early, though, especially if youve been crying. for someone who seems so nonchalant or neutral most of the time, hes very firm when it comes to you taking care of yourself. sweetens everything up by making you breakfast, too. not too good of a verbal comforter but he might sign some... not so nice things about your date

PUPPETEER:

usually hes not going to be the one to bend over backwards for anyone, or do any grand gestures like the other two... but... seeing you upset ticks something inside him, i mean youre his silly little.... friend... it makes him feel a little rotten inside, so i think he might force you to sit down. "stop making that face, you're going to set wrinkles in your pretty little face" as he works his hands into your shoulders trying to undo the tension. definitely a self care do-er in terms of face masks and that sort of thing. plus its soothing to him in a way, kind of like dressing up a doll. weird though process, but puppeteer is a little odd like that. you two talk shit about your date, puppeteer really being the one to initiate it as he does your nails. bonus if he paints your yellow to match his. oh hes going to talk so much shit so get ready, hes going to totally unload

A Lesson From Owl House That Gets Overlooked

So, I don't know if you know this, but I used to have a tendency of bottling things up. I was scared of people being angry and upset with me, so I pushed everything way down and tried to not let things get to me. And the things I've been through are horrific at the kindest appraisal. I think you know why I'm bringing this up... So let's not waste time and just talk about the two most self-conscious characters in the series; Luz and Willow.

I don't know if you noticed this through the series, but Luz internalizes EVERYTHING. Even before Hollow Mind and the whole "I accidentally helped a genocidal maniac carry out his wicked plan" thing, Luz was quietly baring the burden of grief and trauma. We don't know the full scope of the bullying she endured, it was probably hellish and certainly isolated her. Not only that, but she was carrying the pain of losing her father, which she also internalized.

Because of this, along with the bullying and the lack of support from adults in her life (save for Camila,) Luz doesn't really have a great support system until she meets Eda and King. And even then, it took Willow, Gus, and especially Amity for her to really open up about things.

Meanwhile, Willow was browbeaten by virtually everyone in her life. Amity, Boscha, teachers, everyone looked down on her, calling her 'Half-a-Witch,' forced into learning Abomination magic by her dads instead of the Plant magic she excels at. And of course, instead of that pain manifesting as grief and misery, Willow's internalization of her emotions turns to anger, frustration, and self-loathing as we see the first time we meet her.

Of course, she befriends Gus and Luz and things start to get better, but they depend on her strength and wisdom too much, which allows her to mask her feelings in favor of helping and supporting her friends. We see that it doesn't help that much, especially after Amity once again hurts her by accidentally burning all of her memories.

Granted, things worked out between them, but Amity (subconsciously, as she was genuinely concerned and cared about Willow) was looking down on her much later. And yes, Willow gets to be in the Plant track and becomes the Flier Derby captain of her dreams. However she's still hard on herself, still keeping herself from letting things out... Oh, did you guys not notice that in For the Future? Because Boscha was egging her on and antagonizing her in a moment of weakness, Willow was going to probably hurt or even kill her bully out of sheer anger.

Yeah, if that scene played out any further and she wasn't rendered unconscious by sleeping nettles, Willow was going to do something incredibly bad. I think Elijah (not-so-average-fangirl) saw that too, which is why she said "Willow, are you ok?" during that scene. I know from personal experience that Willow was at her absolute breaking point and when you realize that, it's terrifying. She was going to let out her anger violently on someone who deserved it, but not to the extent that she was clearly going to go with it. It's also why Willow does indeed breakdown after that. She can no longer control her emotions, especially after seeing her dad puppeted and the guy she clearly had feelings for die in her arms...

Of course, we know how both Luz's breakdown in Reaching Out and Willow's breakdown in For the Future resolve. They both talk about it or let out their emotions, and they do so in front of the people that matter the most to them.

For Luz, she tells Amity about her dad. She cries over it in front of her and they resolve their first real fight since going out. Then, they both make flowers and cast them off over the Boiling Sea, continuing the tradition of Luz and her mom without being in the Human Realm. Amity's also the one that tries to comfort Luz the most after learning about Belos, because even if our hero isn't feeling great about what happened, she still someone who truly loves and supports her.

For Willow, it was a need for someone who doesn't rely on her telling her that it was ok to let it out. Someone who could stop her and beg her to never call herself 'Half-a-Witch' again. Someone who truly understood all the pain she was going through and was willing to both support her and let her vent. Now who could that be...?

Of course, Gus did obviously help in that scene, but Willow needed to hear it from Hunter. She needed someone who has only ever seen her as strong who didn't depend on her for support to just say 'you've been holding in a lot, haven't you?' Granted, I won't say you need romantic love to let your feelings and pain out to, but I am saying that a strong enough and supportive enough person can help with that. That's why Gus being there in the Willow breakdown was important. That's why all of Luz's friends telling her that helping Belos wasn't her fault was important. The most important thing about bottling emotions is to have someone there to talk to, be it friend, family, lover, or therapist.

Really smol one shot for this series. I… don't like it too much, but hey. it was approved by a fellow LoP, so here you go.

"Our part of the deal is done," they said, tapping the ground with the heels of their boots. "We have cleared the southern area of the puppets, as we agreed. The north area is yours and yours alone". There was a serious, almost impolite tone in their voices. [Name] has never been fond of working with other Stalkers, and especially not with his group. A guy with a gryphon mask on his head and a huge zweihander on his back, the leader of a group of stalkers who thought very highly of themselves. "Oh, are you already leaving us, [stalker name]? But it was so nice to see you again. I was just wondering... didn't you once say you don't like working with others?", he asked in a taunting voice before he turned his head towards P, who was standing slightly away. "But here you are with a little puppet boy following you." "He's NOT a little boy." [Name] furrowed his brows and snarled at the stalker. P had been keeping an eye on them the whole time. At first, he couldn't understand why his beloved [Name] didn't want to join the others in cleansing the area of the puppets to make it easier for them to move on. But now he was beginning to understand what [Name] was feeling. P really didn't like the way the man acted. "Oh, isn't he? I guess you just like... the pretty type of man? Listen, you could do better. My group and I have all the resources we need to continue our work and still have a decent life. Not to mention the respect and honour we receive," he added with a slight grin hidden by his mask, "I could also demonstrate to you what a true man is. One who could probably do a much better job than that little... boy toy of yours." The man reached out his hand and grabbed [Name]'s wrist tightly, pulling them closer to his body, too close.

His words were loud enough to reach P's ears, to cause the springs in his body to work faster. He couldn't understand all of his words, nor the meanings behind them, but the entire situation made him feel uneasy. In fact it made him angry, or so he thought. Or is there a different name for it? Without any hesitation, he stepped forward, a hand touching the stalker's shoulder before shoving him away from [Name]. [Name] glanced over in surprise before quickly grabbing P's Legion arm. "Hey hey, love. I'm fine." "Shit, I guess your toy isn't just for show," the man muttered in response to the puppet man's actions. "I suppose he's easy to handle like this. You can tell him what to do... sounds pretty good to me, doesn't it? You get to have your own little fu-...", before he could continue to insult him, a fist crashed into his face. The force of the blow sent him falling backwards. Much to his surprise, it wasn't the puppet that had punched him, it was them. [Name]. 

"Don't you dare say that. I swear, one more word and I will make it clear what I think about you and your group'," they yelled at him, grabbing P's hand and walking away. 

As they walked away, [Name] started to talk with P. "You know, love... you looked pretty handsome protecting me like this," [Name] mentioned with a cheeky smile before it turned gentle. "Please... don't worry. No one could ever be your replacement. No one will ever be able to be what you are to me."

bark is a very old man who just wants to do his work in peace. cloud is an introvert who is very calm and professional. smoke is pretentious and self-involved. they're a teacher at the school of solutions and endorsed flowers and descent for the esteemed position. west is a hot guy flowers knew in school that he had a short-lived fling with after his divorce. journey was rivers' admin before flowers, but then she went to the void so she had to be replaced.

Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call!! I actually discovered ordering the game from the UK with shipping was actually cheaper than ordering the American version of the game, there were no major differences that I could tell as they still had the original English voice actors.

I enjoyed this game!! Not my top favorite installment but I still had a great time and loved the new characters. The puzzles were well designed and had nice scaled difficulty and the mini games were really neat too. The Eternal Diva references were so blatant lmfao but I’m excited for Miracle Mask! I was also super exhausted when writing the summary so sorry there’s so many errors and I use the word fun a million times ToT

Summary

This was such a fun origin story for Luke and Layton. Very much a classic Layton game with world ending machinery and gorgeous environment design. I really liked both Emmy and Descole, there’s a more serious undertone than with Don Paolo as the main villain (even though I do love Don Paolo). Emmy is amazing!! I was afraid she would be sidelined like Flora was but I’m glad to she stands her ground and does what she wants to do. I alos like how we got to go on our own adventure as her to London, she’s a character that doesn’t need to rely on Hershel to solve everything. Meeting Luke was great, loved his blank stare. It was fun seeing his origins and how Clark and Hershel knew each other. I’m curious how the prequels will play into the New World of Steam, especially now that Luke’s family have stories and sprites (unlike in the original trilogy). Loved the ACAB story, v nice to play while I’m still so mad at what’s happening to university students currently. Descole was so fun, I am obsessed with his outfit and personality. Unfortunately I was spoiled on who he is but I’m very excited to learn more. I think similar to Ace Attorney, the fourth installment is that last game in the classic 2D style, which is sad but PLvsPW makes me very hopeful about 3D Layton. The overall story was fun, I really liked the sub plot about the Ravens - that was really fun (i was so tired writing this omfg). I wish we got a little more backstory on the rich guy who died, I feel like there’s more to the story. OO I loved the little episodes, especially the one about Chelmey. They added a lot of fun context and gave more life to the NPCs. Such a fun and classic Layton game, I can’t wait to play Miracle Mask! (And read the light novels). This wasn’t my favorite Layton game but I still really loved it and had a great time and loved the puzzles — that’s all I want from PL!

What is the favourite & least favourite animatronic or each of the Aftons & Emilys? Given what I now know about William, I'm especially curious to see if any managed to break their way past his dislike of making them.

This might actually be able to be my shortest ask! (Edit: okay, never mind 💀 prepare for a yap session, answers below as usual!) Also, sorry for the late response, I recently moved so it's been a little hectic!

William: Uh, he basically hates all of them 😭😭 there isn't one that particularly was his favorite in terms of creating them (he likes designing them though!) I guess the closest to a favorite animatronic is Springbonnie since he uses it a lot (it's literally designed to fit him) , but even then he doesn't really like it. Henry originally created the springlock suit ideas to save money, and look how that turned out for Will there! (Believe me if Will had fully kept his memory when awoke as Springtrap, he would have been PISSED, I mean he was still pissed when he became Springtrap but still !!)

Clara: She also wasn't too receptive to the way the animatronics look, but her 'favorite' was probably Freddy since he looked the least 'dead inside' as she said (...major foreshadowing there lmao) Her least favorite was probably the springlock animatronics like Fredbear and Springbonnie, they always kinda freaked her out as a concept (she'll also eventually hate the Funtime animatronics, since...yk 👀)

Michael: Foxy, he was the least dorky out of the main cast (and c'mon he owns a Foxy mask!) Anyways he also thinks the Glamrocks are sick as hell (and since there's no Foxy variant, and also because he thought it would be weird to possess a girl robot, he picked GlamFred, which like good choice) his least favorites are probably anyone else who isn't Foxy or the Glamrocks lmao

Elizabeth: She liked Chica when she was younger, because that was the only girl animatronic at the time, but that quickly changed when Circus Baby came into the spotlight! Her father made her just for her! (He actually only said that to get her to leave him alone, the 'similarity' is a coincidence) And funnily enough, Baby will also become her least favorite!

Evan: You think he likes *any* of these guys?? HELL NO !! (Actually, when he was about toddler age, he didn't have his extreme phobia of robots yet. His old favorite was Springbonnie because he knew it was always his dad under the suit!) Anyways a little while later he developed his intense fear of animatronics. He hates all of them !!

Henry: He is insanely proud of the fact he came up with the Springlock mechanism (and was in fact considering fixing the main gang to BECOME springlock suits too until William's accident where he almost fucking died lmao) so his original favorites were the springlock suits (and Freddy, mostly because Henry was meant to play Fredbear, and yk Freddy is a variant of Fredbear so...) But he will also hate every animatronic too. (Exception of the Puppet/Lefty cause yk that's his daughter, and Helpy !! Does he even count as an animatronic?)

Charlie: To be honest she wasn't really into the animatronic restaurant idea, so she's neutral on them. No favorite and no least favorite. She finds them all a little creepy!

Metal Fury Has The Weakest Villains

After thinking about it, I have to admit that as much as I love Fury and still consider it my favorite season of Beyblade, one thing Fusion and Masters have over it (besides a better written Kyoya, still the only problem I have with Fury that majorly affects my enjoyment) are the villains. Aside from Johannes, who is very memorable and honestly does way too much of the heavy-lifting for a henchman, Fury's villains are really forgettable.

Starting with Fusion:

Its main villains are definitely Ryuga and Doji but I'll throw Reiji in as well since despite being in fewer episodes than some of Fury's villains, he's far more memorable than them.

Reiji, along with Doji and Ryuga are very memorable villains. I remember their goals, their beys, how they battle, how they look and sound, and just who they are in general even when it's been a long time since I've seen the series. Destructive purple dragon, giant torture snake, and wolf that drags people into darkness are just very distinct. These characters' goals are very simple. However, I will always remember the way Doji and Ryuga go about those goals by manipulating notable characters like Yu, Testuya, Tobio, and Ryutaro into the Dark Nebula to ultimately just use them and all the ripple effects that causes. Not to mention the way Reiji is merely Doji's sadistic puppet, the way he gleefully and viciously tortures children, his breakdowns that they never properly utilized, all of that sticks in my mind and creates a set of very memorable villains.

Masters, while less iconic, also does its main villains really well.

Ziggurat is probably the most realistic villain in the entire series. Slight goofiness and generic design aside, a mad scientist who's so concerned with whether or not he can do something that he didn't stop to think if he should is very rooted in reality and quite frankly, that's terrifying. And like Doji, Ziggurat also manipulates Bladers into his cause like Damian, Jack, and Zeo, the last of which causes so much interesting conflict for Masamune and Toby. Damian and Jack as well, while technically "henchmen" too, are very memorable thanks to how they look and how they fight. Like the Fusion villains, Peacock the Ripper and dog who drags people into hell are memorable and interesting. Plus the way Ziggurat swayed characters from earlier in the series to join his cause like the Garcias and Julian, and the ripple effect that especially the latter caused was very engaging to watch, and similar to Fusion with the Dark Nebula, makes even the henchmen interesting.

And then there's Fury.

Johannes, I think, is actually done well. He's, despite fandom perception, actually competent as a henchman, knowing when it would be most optimal for his plans to flee or fight and cleverly swaying both Aguma and Chris to his side with just his words. He's also got a distinct look and way of acting in and out of battle. "Cat boy thingy" is memorable, if on the silly side.

The other Fury villains though...

While it's cool that Pluto works in the shadows and wears a mask most of the season, he doesn't have anything besides that to make him stand out like these other villains do. Often when I rewatch Fury, I only remember he's the masked man after he takes his mask off and when he does, he just becomes some guy to me. He doesn't do much outside of the big semi-final battle when he uses his special move to separate the legendary bladers and prevent them from making Zeus's Barrier, which is cool and engaging in the moment but easy to forget about when I'm not actively watching those episodes. It's more memorable because of how Kenta breaks through it and saves the day rather than anything Pluto does.

And then Rago...

Rago just sucks. I'm sorry. He's again just some guy who showed up out of nowhere when the villains literally brought in to control Nemesis. Yeah, I know Reiji was also kind of just "some guy who showed up" but him never being seen before (even by others in the Dark Nebula) was something that was used to add to his creepiness and intimidation factor, and build up the feeling of uneasiness throughout his battle with Hyoma. Plus, Reiji was basically kept in the Dark Nebula's basement prior to "showing up", not off some undisclosed somewhere in the world like Rago was.

What else is there to Rago? Well, he killed Ryuga... rest in peace, legend.

That and the whole "copied bey spirits" thing (which admittedly is a really cool visual) are the most memorable things Rago does honestly. He's also, I think, descended from the original controller of Nemesis. Or maybe that's Pluto. I don't know. They blend together in my mind so I can never remember which is his descendant when I'm not actively watching Fury.

Hell, for that matter, I can't remember anything about either of these characters when I'm not actively watching Fury. Who are they? Why do they want to destroy the world? Who are they outside of that goal? How do their actions (not Johannes's) affect the main cast?

For Fusion and Masters' villains, I, and probably you reading this, can answer all these questions easily.

For two random examples from each:

-Doji likes orange juice, uses a Dark Wolf, hates cacti and childrens' happiness and is a manipulative sociopath who wants to use the dark power to take over the world.

-Damian is a brainwashed germaphobic child who uses a Kerbecs bey and believes using the arrangement system is the best and only way to become a powerful blader.

Hell, I can even do this for Johannes in Fury: He likes cats, using a Lynx bey with different spin track lengths, is a bit of a weirdo and a coward, and believes in Nemesis's cause to destroy the world and bring about a newer better world.

Pluto and Rago don't have any traits like these that make them stand out. I'm not saying they need to be silly but my god give them something. Or at least consolidate them into one character. Why couldn't Pluto just be the one to control Nemesis and maybe be unmasked earlier? That alone would've made him at least a little more memorable than what we got.

Tldr: I love Fury but compared to Fusion and Masters, its villains are lacking.

"You hush!" Three Sparrows aggressively points towards the abnormally sized blue Iterator puppet leveling her with an unimpressed look since she made it through the chamber hatch. "You knew I was coming over before I even started packing back at Caper's. And I know for a fact that you've known about me since I got through your retaining walls."

Oh, and he has the nerve to puff unconcerned at that, glancing back to the endless neon screens displaying manufacturing demands, asking him to deal with that and that accident occuring in the multiple levels of Desaevio. He just swipes those away. Not even betting an eye at someone losing their life in a crash.

That still sends shivers down her spine and settles an uncomfortable weight in her stomach. Even though it's been a long while now, that Boreas' Blessing has accepted her into his family.

"Yes, I have. And I have attempted to prevent you from progressing further into my factories as well-," he shoots her a warning look without any threat in it over his shoulder, "-intruder."

"Ha! Please." Three Sparrows exclaims, rather directing her attention to her goal- the umbilical arm. She needs something to ground against after all, and at this point she knows better than to ask the ancient Iterator to turn off the antigravity. Blessing doesn't like doing that- the pull of the umbilical arm on his back hurts.

Not so subtly, the arm moves to meet her as she swims to it.

"You call *that* 'preventing'? You've got to be growing rusty. You gave me a harder time while trying to get to my apartment back during my school days than now."

"Hm. Yes, well... You are pulling on your 81st birthday. I have thought you would be appreciative of me being considerate of that fact." She settles on one of the last segments of the arm at its base and with the wave of the puppet's, all the screens close. "...what with being fully organic and all. Have your joints not been bothering you?"

As he brings himself closer, she pays him no mind. Rather eyeing her knee from her perch. And... yeppp, extending it properly produces a crack. It hurts a little. Blessing glares at the thing as if it just personally offended him.

"You *are* aware I could produce you a prosthe-"

"No." She quickly waves her hand in denial. "No- I mean... thank you, Blessing. For the offer. I do appreciate both it and you being considerate. I may not... like to hear it, but I guess I really am getting old. But I'd like to stay as much myself as I can the whole way."

"..." And the so-old-that-it's-hard-to-comprehend thing gives her this look. On the outside still twisted in anger- Three Sparrows is sure his face actually got stuck that way- but buried underneath... worry, pity, confusion... fear... all that plays there in the back. "...very well. I will stop asking then."

She gives him a little smile from behind her rebreather mask. "You said that last time I visited, too. You are just a big ol' carebear, B."

Huff, cross of arms. "What are you doing here this early anyway. You are scheduled to come by in a week before departing for Zephyrus."

Three Sparrows only gives him a shrug at that, averts her eyes. "I dunno. This might... be my final outing. To Zeph especially. I don't know when I'll start greying, I don't know when mom will die back home, the next few years seem..." her hands clasp each other, fidgeting, "They seem..."

His touch is strangely light, when his hand settles on top of hers. Hiding them both away effortlessly. He's cold.

But his voice is gentle and warm, the deep tone of it reassuring. "Uncertain."

Sigh. "Yeah... Uncertain. I'm scared." She shrugs again, trying to play that vulnerability off. "Either way, I might not see you guys in person again. I thought that was... horrible. I may have cried. A little bit." She eyes him, trying to force some play through the pain. "Only a teeny tiny bit."

"Right, yes." Blessing decides to indulge her, "Because every time I have seen you cry it definitely had not felt like I was close to witnessing a river for the first time."

That at least gets her to giggle a little. "You are the meanest person ever!"

"I will be sure to take that as a compliment, little sister." And he makes a show of rolling his eyes in total exasperation.

Through little laughs, she continues: "So I'm here to stay the week. Hang out with you a little before I'll go."

When he takes too long to reply, seemingly surprised, she adds a little unsure with one of her hands worming out from underneath his to put it over it. "You can still... send me on my way, though? If you don't want me."

Oh and there's such hurt in that statement. How could he, anyway? She's his responsibility, for the last twenty or so years. And his responsibilities are precious to him. Either by their value, as his work to manufacture parts- or by how cherished they are. How beloved they've become. And just like little Eurus, Three Sparrows has managed to become dear to him too.

With a soft squeeze of her hand, Blessing indirectly answers. "Are you going to stay here now? I shall fix the air for you, if so."

There's that smile again. So easy to paint on her features, yet not any less loved for it. "I'd like to. Thank you."

As the process starts, she tells him of her plans. Motions to the guitar case on her back, points to her media player apparently containing new songs she thinks he might like.

They shall sing, they shall watch a movie and then they shall talk some more. While Boreas' Blessing indulges her, he shall look for a place for her to stay for the week, too. It must've slipped her mind.

It's alright. He's here to look after her.

right off the bat, sammy and amy as adaine and aelwyn. don't have much to say on this besides i think they fit pretty well. amy would have to be a bit smarter for aelwyn's place in the story but other than that i think they fit pretty well. sammy as a wizard with anxiety but who also desperately wants to fuck up the ppl who wrong her once she gets treatment for that anxiety. also i like to think in this au that amy would have a redemption arc and she and sammy could learn how to be somewhat functional sisters.

lightning as fabian. they are both egotistical athletes with a ridiculous amount of pressure from their shitty parents and i would love lightning to have an arc where he makes friends and learns to overcome toxic masculinity

dj as gorgug! he has the capacity to rage but he doesn't want to unless its necessary which disappoints people who expect someone as big as him to be a fighter. but he just wants to give tin flowers to his friends! maybe his love for cooking turns into a love for creating and that's how he becomes an artificer. he would definitely make little mechanical animal friends. also that makes his moms wilma and digby

hear me out. priya as kristen. big worshipper of helio thanks to her parents/being his chosen one but as she goes through the world without that strong of an influence she realizes how wrong they are and breaks away from that mentality. a bit of a chaotic being as she goes through life trying to find structure again but dedicated to her friends and whatever deity she's worshiping at the time

kitty as fig. she loves her friends so so much. she wants to try so many different things. she has issues with an authoritative female figure in her life (emma/sandra lynn). i think she could rock the punk/devil aesthetic while still being so friendly and silly.

i had such a hard time figuring out who would be riz but i'm gonna say shawn. they're both conspiracy theorists who probably drink way too much coffee and get way too little sleep. i can see shawn's obsession to surviving the zombie apocalypse be turned into an obsession with solving mysteries in this world. i think it'd be funny if that made sanders sklonda because she already sorta has tired single mom trying her best energy and is (unfortunately) a cop

I love the execution of the Puppet Zelda reveal. The blocking, the angles hiding her as she teleports around, the way the puppet goes limp as Ganondorf changes its costume…love it! I especially love the way they fused the concepts of WW’s Puppet Ganon, TP’s Possessed Zelda, and Phantom Ganon together. But I wish they’d made it an expansion upon what they were doing with the Blights as “shards”/offshoots of the main entity as opposed to waffling on whether this particular Phantom Ganon is a discrete individual entity or just Ganon.

Like…it’s a puppet. He literally calls it a puppet. It’d be way more fun and give us more information about Ganondorf as a character if it was just him controlling it remotely so he could engage in sabotage without jeopardizing the safety of his true body as opposed to just making it Some Guy he created. Even if it’s just a demonstration of mask theory at work, where we see his personality squash and stretch to fit the role/mask/marionette he’s poured himself into to inhabit for a performance, that’s something. And what the hell else is that guy gonna do while he’s recuperating in his hole in the ground? Cut it out with that “my servant” nonsense, Ganon, we know it’s you.

“My servant.” Come on! It’s like they’re so desperate to strip him of any human traits so you don’t feel bad for taking him out at the end that they won’t even let him do super basic human things like inhabiting a mask and putting on a show. They’ve gotta outsource it to a redundant shell of a character. And then what’s left after you take away his theatricality (and the very suspiciously natural way he fits into the role of the Special Destined Universally Beloved Heir to the Throne who he envies so much)? A guy whose only purpose is to sit around and wait for you to kill him?

The Bravo producers for VPR and The Valley are misogynists. Yeah, I said it. They are. Alex Baskin is a fucking gremlin. I know that certain things make for "good TV" but there is never an episode that goes by that men's shitty behavior isn't explained away or had excuses made and a woman is blamed for her reactions to real and actual disrespect. Lisa Vanderpump, despite all her success as a woman, is also a huge misogynist and male apologist.

2. When will they stop trying to make Katie Maloney the villain? Katie is nothing but consistent, honest and authentic. I think she has started to hold her tongue and temper a bit more than she used to in the past due to how it made her appear to the audience. She always gets a shitty edit. She always gets blamed for her attitude, never given credit for being right about anything, etc. When is Tom Schwartz going to do an interview and admit Katie was right about Jo? According to Jo he blocked her due to her "strange" behavior. Didn't Katie call this years ago? People also act like Katie not liking Tom's new weirdo pseudo-girlfriend is weird for a newly divorced couple.

3. They tried really hard to make us accept Tom Sandoval's redemption arc by using his mental health as a weapon. He accused Ariana of "faking it" when really, that was a call out of himself. HE used suicidal ideation as a weapon to make people back off of him and give him grace.

4. I'll die on this hill, TOM SCHWARTZ IS THE REAL VILLAIN OF VANDERPUMP RULES. If Schwartz has zero haters, I am dead. The way he disrespects, gaslights, makes a fool of and ridicules openly Katie, his ex-wife and ex-partner of over 10 years is FOUL. His nice guy mask drops the second anyone calls him out. Brock made the comment that Schwartz ruined Katie's confidence (Go Brock? Rare Brock W) and he suddenly snaps into reality and is offended at the idea. Scheana calls him a shitty husband and he protests "No I wasn't!" HE ABSOLUTELY WAS. He was in fact, the shittiest husband! He is a goofy/dumb nice guy until the second he's intoxicated or he's dealing with criticism from anyone, especially Katie.

5. Lauren from Utah is a production puppet that is doing and saying things to cause and stir controversy because they were afraid without that angle the show this season would be super boring. It was boring, but just for different reasons. They're trying to make Ariana an unforgiving, unrelenting bitch and Lala the "voice of reason". It's not working on most viewers.
