I wasn't here during tatinof. Did they not share a bed in the bus or? I know that I've seen a few videos from during ii in hotel rooms and it seemed like they had one bed

their official story is that phil got the big bed and dan slept in a bunk. they stage a rock paper scissors match where phil wins the bed in story of tatinof (which I definitely will not link to a reupload of) at 26:31. while the rock paper scissors thing was a joke, they did genuinely purport that phil got the bed. iirc dan posted an insta story or something from the bunk?? bc in my memory we knew phil "got" the bedroom before the tour doc was released

people assumed this was BS for a multitude of reasons. aside from the assumption that d&p are together and therefore share a bed, it also just seemed unfair for dan to have to cram himself into a tiny ass bunk while phil got a whole bed to himself 😭 bc even if they weren't together it would still make sense for them to share the bed. like bed sharing platonically is a thing lol. any, there was also this embroidery sign that said "dan and phil" that they hung on the door which a lot of people assumed was bc it was their bedroom together :3 (though I am just now realizing the sign is actually on the door to the back area of the bus that includes the bathroom, you can see the bedroom door behind phil in this pic! I've been believing a lie for 8 years :/)

at the very least we know they would hang out in there together based on this famous part of the doc. so like, long story short, pretty much everyone believes they shared the bed, but as far as what d&p have told us, only phil slept in the bed

Hello hrrtshape! I would like a little bit of advice to help realize that shifting is real and that I can do it, because I think I'm treating it more as of like more of a fantasy/inside joke... I'm not entirely sure how to explain, but it's like the longer I go without results the more doubtful I get about it. I really want that feeling of excitement I had when I first found out about shifting back😞

i get it !!!! when you first find out about shifting, it’s this electric, mind-blowing concept. you’re wide-eyed, borderline manic, convinced you’re about to crack reality in half. and then… time passes. no instant results. and suddenly, it starts feeling like some weird internet joke you got too invested in. but !!

just because something feels distant doesn’t mean it isn’t real. the moon is real even when you can’t see it. your dr exists even when you don’t wake up there. shifting isn’t about maintaining that first-hit euphoria 24/7. it’s about learning to trust it even when it feels quiet.

so let’s recalibrate. make it fun again !! remind yourself why you even wanted this. go back to the stuff that made you excited. script, daydream, romanticise the hell out of it if you wish. anything that just FEELS right. and most importantly, detach from the outcome. stop making shifting this heavy, all-or-nothing thing. treat it like a game, an experiment, a “what if.” what if you already shifted and just forgot? what if it’s inevitable? what if you’re actually just waiting for your brain to catch up?

you haven’t lost anything. you’re just in a lull. and lulls don’t last forever <3
