One Dress a Day Challenge
September: Bond Films
The Living Daylights / Maryam d'Abo as Kara Milovy
So help me, but I love 1980s fashion. It's fun, it's bold, and it's not afraid to be extravagant. Plus it has those nods to the 1920s and 1940s, two other decades that I like. And yep, I think this ensemble looks great. Unfortunately, we never see it full-length from the front, so I don't know how long the dress is, but the robe/coat appears to be full-length.
In fairness, I would also have loved the original design (see below), which is more classic in style. Emma Porteous was the credited costume designer for this film, but apparently, much of the work was actually done by her assistant, Tiny Nicholls.

“FBFX's first film: Judge Dredd”:
Armour for the 15 Judge Hunters, a task force dispatched to capture Judge Dredd in the film, was FBFX’s main responsibility. They also made vambraces, elbow and knee pads, belts and adornments for Stallone and the regular Street Judges.
Danny Cannon told the team that the Judge Hunters should be the “Mercedes of the Judges.” Described by costume designer Emma Porteous as “all in black with black rubber armour and black helmets... really quite awe-inspiring,” bringing the Judge Hunters to life would take some innovation.

La serie está ambientada en un mundo en donde todos desarrollan un poder cuando cumplen 18 años, todos menos Jen. Va a cumplir 25 y todavía sigue esperando su superpoder. Ni siquiera le preocupa qué poder sea: ¿supervelocidad?, ¿vista láser?, ¿la habilidad de no fallar nunca al conectar un USB?, cualquiera estaría bien.
Como una oruga rodeada de mariposas, Jen siente que no puede avanzar, varada en un empleo sin futuro en una tienda de artículos para fiesta, y saliendo ocasionalmente con Luke, un joven excéntrico que tiene la irritante y maravillosa capacidad de volar. Por suerte, Jen cuenta con su amiga Carrie para evitar que se compadezca demasiado de sí misma. Juntas, comparten un apartamento en el este de Londres, con el novio de toda la vida de Carrie, Kash.
Carrie tiene el poder de comunicarse con los muertos, pero siente que su habilidad la ha eclipsado por completo: ¿acaso a nadie le importa lo que ella tiene para decir?. Kash toma su poder, la habilidad de volver el tiempo atrás, muy seriamente, aunque ocasionalmente lo usa para borrar situaciones embarazosas o momentos en los que le dice exactamente lo que no debería decir a la siempre sufrida Carrie.
El cuarto miembro de la casa es un gato callejero que oculta un secreto sorprendente: parece que hasta los gatos tienen más poder que Jen. A la deriva en un mundo enorme y confuso, y armada solo con un poco de esperanza y mucha desesperación, Jen comenzará un viaje para encontrar su posible superpoder. Al hacerlo, podría llegar a descubrir la alegría de sentirse más o menos bien.
