Fam Lovemail For Owen/Mi Papá Henry!! (@confetti-and-confessions)
Today it's been 1 year since I met my Owen canonmate!
Neither of us knew of Outsiders yet then...
We met through fnaf, actually :)
Mi papá, Henry. Who I had been looking for for years. He doesn't even really remember me in his canon there but he still claimed me as his kid gladly.
He took me in. I felt so fuckin lonely. I was coming from a situation where my life felt like it was falling appart- and yet... he made it all better.
For the first time I found someone who wasnt only my father from media but acted like an actual father. He was a real dad. He cared and he held me close when I cried and suffered the aftermaths of probably the worst months of my life.
He didnt have to. But he did. He even said a couple times he wanted to. He said he'd be there for me whenever I needed him. And I never understood how serious he was about that... I- I still dont, not fully..
But I know he means it. He's always been there for me no matter how fucked up I am. He's never turned me down for being "too much" for him.
And I wanna be there for him aswell. I hope I'm doing a good job <:]
Star's one of the best people I have in my life. I never wanna loose dust and I hope we stay together many many years more!!
Star makes me so so happy, so much so that this year I expected fathers day excited. So much so that I made a gift for dust and waited excited to give it to dust that day
Tumblr media
I just love you so much dad!! Thank you for being there for me.. really, thank you do much ♡
here's a few sweet memories from our shared medias:
FNaF: times I got in trouble for following Mikey and his friends into stuff. I wasn't scared of talking to you and calling for your help... while the other 4 were scared of their parents finding out I needed to tell you as soon as possible, ask for help. I also remember sometimes after school you'd take Charlie and I to this one little store of sorts.. I'd always get a box of orange juice and we'd get a family package of cookies :D! You would also sometimes buy some gummies without us noticing and hide it in your room, you'd give us some without mom knowing after dinner every once in a while... hehe.. when she found out she'd just ask for her share aswell <3 I know when I was older I did something similar and bought the same brand of juice anytime I found it available.. it reminded me of home, of you <:] ♡
OutsidersSMP: you taught me how to start a fire out of just sticks and stones... how to tie a knot... let me stay in your house whenever I felt lonely or was having a bad time sleeping, remembering stuff about people I lost... you always protected me when I went in the maze even when I didnt listen to you... we cooked together and even baked sometimes... we'd make strawberry "pie"/tart... and mango smoothies! Also!! Just hugging !! Mostly in private at first cus u didnt want people knowing you were a hugging person hehe <3
Empires: I remember the first time I called you dad.... it was an accident and I was super embarassed... BUT! You made me feel less awkward about it.... and I felt better.. eventually it became the norm... it was super nice. I remember when you gave me some beautiful copper earrings shaped like wheat.. the glowberries made me so happy too!! I loved surprise gifts and tried to get you some too sometimes <3 Like sunflowers along with the usual food delivery :) ! I also remember when you visited me after the duels with Xornoth.. you were really worried.. hehe.. oops- oh and when we reunited.. You were the only person who remembered me after so many years.. the only soul that stayed the same.. <33
Hatchetfield: I remember going out for soft serve ice cream with you!! Specially as a kid, and then we went years later with Richie and we both felt like little kids again :)!! We also ate burgers at home and made you watch anime with us... hehehe it was the best day ever!! Thank you so much for being always there for me uncle Paul ♡
FAITH: a specific timeline where you saved me.. I genuinly felt so physically sick and wasn't even sure how I was still even alive. But you took care of me. I remember weeping and letting out howls of pain. And you would feed me, somehow. Sit next to me despite how terrible I looked. I think once you could tell I felt ugly and scary after seeing myself in a mirror, cause soon after you offered to do my hair, brush it and put accessories on it, even got me a new dress... it made me feel like a normal real girl one more time. Thank you, Father. ♡
I could keep going on and on for hours, but I hope you understand at least a bit of how much you mean to me ♡
cause there's not enough words in this world or any other to express it well <3

It is interesting to note the striking comparisons between the human body and the safety and hygienic appliances of a great city. Just as in the streets of a great city we have “white angels” posted everywhere to gather up poisonous materials from the streets, so in the great streets and avenues of the body, namely the arteries and the blood vessels, there are brigades of corpsucles, white in color like the “white angels,” whose function is to gather up into sacks, formed by their own bodies, and disinfect or eliminate all poisonous substances found in the blood. The body has a network of insulated nerves, like telephone wires, which transmit instantaneous alarms at every point of danger. The body is furnished with the most elaborate police system, with hundreds of police stations to which the criminal elements are carried by the polce and jailed. I refer to the great numbers of sanitary glands, skillfully placed at points where vicious germs find entrance, especially about the mouth and throat. The body has a most complete and elaborate sewer system. There are wonderful laboratories placed at convenient points for a subtle brewing of skillful medicines … The fact is that the human body is made up of an infinite number of microscopic cells. Each one of these cells is a small chemical laboratory, into which its own appropriate raw material is constantly being introduced, the process of chemical separation and combination are constantly taking place automatically, and its own appropriate finished product being necessary for the life and health of the body. Not only is this so, but the great organs of the body like the liver, stomach, pancreas, kidneys, gall bladder are great local manufacturing centers, formed of groups of cells in infinite numbers, manufacturing the same sorts of products, just as industries of the same kind are often grouped in specific districts.

Tumblr media
Master Notes:
Decent capture of this show. Whenever Terry Mann is on stage it's a fancam. The first 20 minutes are completely blindly filmed so i defaulted to wideshotting most of it. Due to usher activity a lot of the show is shot this way, whenever he left i could zoom and such, second big issue with this video is the obstruction. The people in front of me never stopped moving and they kept getting into my shot constantly so there is a lot of obstruction that i try my absolute best to avoid. Some washout, shakiness and readjusting throughout.

Best Reads of 2024
this year i read 300 books. which i think is impressive but not as impressive as it sounds bc many of these books were very short, easy reads meant to be like, stuff you read at the airport or sitting by the pool on vacation. so it's not like i was tackling the harvard classics. i also read extremely fast; it only takes me about an hour to do 300 pages unless it's a super dense complex text. that said, here is a list of all the books i read this year that i would rate 4 stars or higher, separated by genre: Fantasy/Magical Realism: The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett Highfire by Eoin Colfer Tehanu by Ursula K. "Little Women" and Shakespeare
Because I like making lists and finding connection between different things, and because Little Women has become one of my hyperfixations, I thought I'd answer this question:
How many actors from the various filmed versions of Little Women have also performed Shakespeare?
I'm sure this list is incomplete, but it's as comprehensive as I felt able to make it:
Katharine Hepburn (Jo, 1933 film): No Shakespeare roles onscreen, but she played several onstage: Rosalind in As You Like It, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Portia in The Merchant of Venice, Isabella in Measure for Measure, Katherina in The Taming of the Shrew, Viola in Twelfth Night, and Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra.
Edna May Oliver (Aunt March, 1933 film): The Nurse in the 1936 film of Romeo and Juliet with Leslie Howard and Norma Shearer.
Elizabeth Taylor (Amy, 1949 film): Katherina in the 1967 Franco Zeffirelli film of The Taming of the Shrew.
C. Aubrey Smith (Mr. Laurence, 1949 film): Lord Capulet in the 1936 film of Romeo and Juliet with Leslie Howard and Norma Shearer.
Angela Down (Jo, 1970 miniseries): Cordelia in the 1975 BBC King Lear with Michael Hordern, and Helena in the 1981 BBC All's Well That Ends Well.
Stephanie Bidmead (Marmee, 1970 miniseries): Hippolyta in the 1959 NBC A Midsummer Night's Dream and Lady Capulet in the 1967 BBC Romeo and Juliet.
Patrick Troughton (Mr. March, 1970 miniseries): Horatio in the 1947 BBC Hamlet, the Player King in the 1948 Laurence Olivier film of Hamlet, Edmund in the 1948 BBC King Lear, Seyton in the 1949 BBC Macbeth, and Tyrell in the 1955 Laurence Olivier film of Richard III.
Martin Jarvis (John Brooke, 1970 miniseries): Narrator of Shakespeare: The Animated Tales' 1992 adaptation of The Tempest and Leonard (Leonato) in the 2005 ShakespeaReTold adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing.
Logan Ramsey (Mr. Dashwood, 1978 miniseries): The Bishop of Carlisle in the 1982 TV film of Richard II.
Ben Wright (Dr. Bangs, 1978 miniseries): Horatio in the "show within a show" of Hamlet in the 1955 Richard Burton film Prince of Players.
Claire Danes (Beth, 1994 film): Juliet in the 1996 Baz Luhrmann film William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet.
Christian Bale (Laurie, 1994 film): Demetrius in the 1999 film of A Midsummer Night's Dream, with Michelle Pfeiffer, Kevin Klein, Stanley Tucci, et al.
John Neville (Mr. Laurence, 1994 film): Valentine in the 1948 TV production Scenes from Twelfth Night and Macbeth, Romeo in the 1957 Producers' Showcase production of Romeo and Juliet, and Henry V in the 1957 Television World Theatre production of Henry V.
Emily Watson (Marmee, 2017 miniseries): Regan in the 2018 TV film of King Lear with Anthony Hopkins.
Angela Lansbury (Aunt March, 2017 miniseries): No Shakespeare roles onscreen, but she did play Gertrude in the National Theatre Company's 1975 production of Hamlet with Albert Finney.
Michael Gambon (Mr. Laurence, 2017 miniseries): Several minor roles in the 1965 film of Othello with Laurence Olivier, Watchman #4 in the 1967 BBC Much Ado About Nothing with Maggie Smith and Robert Stephens, Gregory in the 1967 BBC Romeo and Juliet, and Theseus in the 1971 BBC A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Ian Bohen (Friedrich Bhaer's counterpart "Freddy," 2018 film): Lord Capulet in the high school "show within a show" of Romeo and Juliet in the 1992 sitcom The Torkelsons' episode "Swear Not By the Moon."
Saoirse Ronan (Jo, 2019 film): No Shakespeare roles onscreen yet, but onstage she played Lady Macbeth in the 2021 West End production The Tragedy of Macbeth.
Florence Pugh (Amy, 2019 film): Cordelia in the 2018 TV film of King Lear with Anthony Hopkins. (And, as mentioned, with Emily Watson as Regan – 2017 Marmee and 2019 Amy playing sisters!)
Meryl Streep (Aunt March, 2019 film): No Shakespeare roles onscreen, but she has played a few onstage in the New York Shakespeare Festival: Isabella in the 1976 production of Measure for Measure, Katherina in the 1978 Taming of the Shrew, and Juliet in a one-night 2012 gala reading of Romeo and Juliet with Kevin Kline.
James Norton (John Brooke, 2019 film): No Shakespeare roles onscreen, but onstage he played Posthumus in the Cambridge Arts Theatre's 2007 production of Cymbeline.
Chris Cooper (Mr. Laurence, 2019 film): Antonio in the 2010 film of The Tempest with Helen Mirren.
Jayne Houdyshell (Hannah, 2019 film): The Nurse in the 2013 Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet with Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad.

I had a very good day today.
My support worker came to the house for the first time! It is my first time meeting her in person. Her name is Emily and she is lovely. (She also has very cool hair).
She was here from about 11am - 5pm. I got to take my time and take breaks to swing and rest and be alone. Emily, Mum and I had a chat in my room before lunch. I used my AAC and Mum helped me tell Emily things about myself. Communication is much easier with Mum there - I was a bit worried about getting stuck or having a shutdown and not able to cope with a Person there at all. But I did well, I think!
Then I had lunch and a break for swing and Grey's Anatomy. I was quite anxious in my body - tense, sweaty, a bit shaky. Even if I logically know that everything is fine, my body has an instinctive reaction as if I am in danger and not safe, every time there is a Person there in the house (usually this doesn't include parents or sister, because I am used to them living in the same house. But on some days it is absolutely everyone, no matter who). New People are especially hard.
It is also rather hot weather today (18°C!) so that threw me off sensory-wise. I had to take more time to regulate.
In the afternoon I decided to be very brave and play a card game with Mum and Emily. We did three rounds of blackjack. It was a lot of fun! We each won one game. I was still a bit tense, but I was also very proud that I did so well.
I really like my new support worker and I am happy and proud and relieved that today went so well. I finished off the positive streak with listening to Martin Fröst (legendary Swedish clarinettist) play Brahms and Mozart while in my swing.
Wednesday will be my day with Emily from now on. I am really hopeful that this can help me learn to be less scared and anxious around people. Or at least widen the group of people who my brain recognises as "safe". And it is just lovely to spend time with someone and laugh and smile. And get to tell someone new about my interests!
I also have been texting with my best friend in the past week. That is very nice. They are also friends with my sister and quite often pop round our house to hang out, although not with me (because, y'know, Very Disabled - I am sure I don't need to give the full explanation here!). I hope to work towards being able to be physically in the same room with them and hang out, eventually.
It is different with someone I already know, who knows me for years back. There is different mental blocks and barriers and obstacles for both New People and People Who Know Me. It will be a slow process, with lots of teeny tiny baby steps. But I have to start somewhere! So, next time they come round, if my bedroom door is already open, they will pop their head in and wave. That's it. Just wave.
I hope to write more in detail about my "brain barriers" (just what I call it because I don't have any other words) in general, especially relating to Other People. It is a tough topic, and very hard to find words. I have been trying hard for over a year to write anything about this, but the progress is incredibly incremental.
Anyway, now I will need a lot of rest, I am knackered! My body is still in a heightened state of anxiety from a new situation and New Person and how much stimming I had to do to regulate. Usually in the evening I can finally calm down my body - things get quieter and darker and colder and it is all much better. It takes more time to calm down physically than mentally sometimes.
But it is all so very worth it. And Mum is happy too :D
Time to relax, rest my body, and turn my brain off! AKA: Time to watch even more Grey's Anatomy!

9 books i plan to read in 2025! // tagged by @aeide and @leofrith and i think it will be interesting to see if i can actually stick to this lol
1-2. calling on dragons & talking to dragons by patricia c wrede // i read dealing with dragons about a billion times as a kid, it remains one of my favorite comfort reads, but my school library never had the sequel books. so now i'm finally revisiting the series (am almost done with book 2, searching for dragons) and finishing it once and for all. it's just very cozy and nice!
3. bad cree by jessica johns // has been on my to-read list forever, for whatever reason i could never find it on libby, but i got it as a christmas present and am so excited to dive in!
4. cue the sun! the invention of reality tv by emily nussbaum // i actually just got this as a skip-the-line checkout on libby so i've already started reading! i've watched so much more reality tv in recent years and the whole industry never fails to fascinate me in mostly a morbid way.
5. fevre dream by george r r martin // during my revisit of asoiaf last year it was recommended that i check out some of grrm's other horror works. all i know is it has something to do with vampires in the bayou, and some asoiaf theorists refer to it a lot when discussing bolt-on which i find to be one of the wackier crack theories lol.
6. the tenant of wildfell hall by anne bronte // i've been reading through the bronte sisters on serial reader so this will be my next one after i finish wuthering heights!
7. dust child by nguyễn phan quế mai // the mountains sing was my absolute favorite book that i read last year and it moved me to tears/made me ugly-cry so so so many times. so of course i am beyond excited to read everything else she has written! also if you haven't read the mountains sing this is your sign from the universe to do so. it's amazing.
8. the orchid thief by susan orlean // so i got this as a birthday gift last year and read probably the first 1/3 or so before i fell off of reading pretty hard for most of the year (aka got super busy with 5,000 other things). i really want to pick it back up and finish it this year.
9. the will of the many by james islington // a couple friends made a book recs list/zine at the end of 2024 and they honestly all look great and i don't have space to list all of them here! so i picked this one at random out of the ones i haven't read yet!
oh also my secret 10th answer is if either the winds of winter* or the book of dust vol. 3 drop this year they will immediately take priority over any other books on this list 👀
idk who else has already done this but i'll tag @winedark and @roadtriphoax 😘
* lol. can you imagine.

This year I got a bit better at reading non-audiobooks, thought not as much as I had hoped, but I feel as though if I were putting more time into it the divide could be overcome. However, I also read far fewer audiobooks this year, in part due to that same promotion at work, in part due to The Election, in part due to falling into bad habits. An easy goal for next year is just working on getting out of that habit. I did manage to hit my target at the end, at least.
I took up the intellectual project of reading "Lesbian War Crimes" Science Fiction/Fantasy books, which had a pretty dramatic effect on the layout of my books for the year. Suffice to say, picking up a contemporary genre is not as Good For Me as reading from wide sources which include international literature and The Classics. Some were real hits though.
My own creative output was not as large as I wanted but it was consistently of relatively high quality and originality, which I think was good. My attempt at a novel failed out of the gate, but I can take a stab at another one in the new year.
Goals for next year: learn some econ, more literary fiction, get a novel down

I read 32 new books this year, and will probably finish the 33rd this evening! and on top of that, I reread at least 34 books that I can remember (Modern Faerie Tales/Darkest Part of the Forest/FOTA, The Hero and the Crown, Scorpio Races, Scholomance, P&P, most of the Wimsey books, most of L&C, Assassin's Apprentice, Ronan of Rin, THG), for a grand total of 67!
