Everybody is all smiles for the group picture, from heroes to villains and everything in-between. Even characters who were otherwise sticks in the mud like Hank genuinely smile for the picture. Villains such as Muntz, de la Cruz, Lotso, Thunderclap and his gang, Syndrome, Evelyn, Randall, Waternoose, Hopper, Skinner, and Ercole, as much of evil psychopaths they were, are seen tenderly and respectfully singing along. Even Sid, who was a massive bully to Hannah, is seen giving her a kind brotherly embrace. Also, most movies’ main cast seem to be cramped together. Even the villains stand near their respective heroes, everyone in a healthy relationship with their families and loved ones are tenderly holding each other close, and many of the larger characters offer their bodies for the smaller ones.
Forky, Heimlich, Dory, Jack-Jack, Mater, WALL-E, and one of the triplets wave at the camera.
Dim and Wee Dingwall give the camera dopey smiles.
The egg-shaped bluebirds and the gawky bird stand perched above the entrance. The bluebirds are happy to have the gawky bird with them, a far cry from how they treated him in their short.
Sulley carries Boo tenderly in his arms. Helen does the same to Jack-Jack, as do Presto with Alec, Carl and Russell with Kevin’s babies, Elinor and Fergus with their triplet sons, Embarrassment with Envy, Massimo with Machiavelli, and Izzy with Sox.
Terri attempts to dance before his other half stops him.
Hank carries Marlin, Dory, and Nemo in a coffee pot.
Voyd and Abby giddily bounce in place, clearly the most excited for the photo.
Linguini carries Remy while Colette holds Django and Emile.
WALL-E and EVE hold the umbrellas from The Blue Umbrella.
HAN-S still can’t stay still, shaking aggressively as the photo is taken.
Kevin and her babies take the time to mimic Carl once again.
Maudie and the Clan Dingwall hunk share a loving look.
Young Macintosh flexes his pecs while giving the camera a cocky smile, the same type of smile given by characters like Terry, Darby, and Clod.
The Witch has her Crow standing perched on her shoulder.
Being stationary volcanoes, Uka and Lele are unable to leave their photo. Thankfully, they have Thunderclap and his gang to hold it so they can be in the group picture.
Nostalgia sticks her head out from behind Embarrassment, clearly hiding from the other emotions.
Riley, Grace, and Bree all carry Knick together while Riley’s parents carry the Miami and Florida knick knacks, Val and the Fire Hawks carry the Egypt, Jamaica, Palm Springs, Israel, and Death Valley knick knacks, and Coach Roberts carries Sunny Atlantis in her fish bowl.
Cindy, Son’s fiancée, winks at the camera as the photo is taken.
Machiavelli gives the camera his standard bored look.
Mei has her red hair, panda ears, and panda tail, continuing to embrace her panda.
Aaron Z gives the camera a thumbs up while Tae Young makes a heart with his hands.
Izzy gives Sox a neck scratch.
Alisha and Kiko’s inclusion also counts due to their backlash following the movie’s release.

la de da horror fic rambles below the cut 🧹✨
i realized while writing Moon's mannerisms -- if they are on the ground, at any point, they clamber and crawl and barely choose to stand bipedal. bc that is soooo last decade behavior. no more human larping.
erm. the dots of intersecting fandoms have connected.
it was halua. it was subject 6. my mind theater was referencing subject 6. shes skittering all over the walls. halua & emil have a place in my heart as beloved, horribly tormented kiddos ^-^;; thats similar to fnaf, right...? totally. /j
shes very normal and very friendly and did not try to consume her brother
i think my brain made the connections ... because their facial structure is rather similar to the peeled DCA endoskeleton LMAO

Once Upon a Pixar (2026)
Hello. It's me, and this is the Pixar version of Once Upon a Studio called Once Upon a Pixar.
(The film opens with the headquarters at Pixar as the employees leave for the day.)
Pixar Intern: It's so incredible to think that George Lucas started Pixar back in 1979 until it was founded by Steve Jobs in 1986 40 years ago today. To think of all those talented animators and unforgettable characters who have been a part of the studio over the years.
Pete Docter: Yep. (as he and the intern turn around one last time) If the characters could talk to each other.
(Pete Docter and the intern leave as the door closes while the title comes up: "Once Upon a Pixar". The camera zooms into a photo picture of Woody, Jessie and Bullseye running on a record player. Woody glances back as everything seems quiet in the lobby.)
Woody: Psst! Atta. Princess Atta. You there?
(Princess Atta flies into the lobby and over to his picture.)
Woody: Is that it? They all gone?
Princess Atta: Yep, they're all gone.
Woody: Yee-haw! (he, Jessie and Bullseye leap out of the picture) Come on, Jessie, this is it.
Jessie: Let's get everyone. Yodel-ay-hee-hoo!
Joy: (gasps) There's the signal! All right, everyone! (she, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust jump out of their production cell) It's picture time!
Elio Silos: That's tonight?
Joy: That's now.
Ember Lumen: The 40-year group photo. (she and Wade jump out of their production cell as well) And the sun's going down. Come on, Wade, let's feel the burn!
Wade Ripple: Ooh, a fire pun. (chuckles) Got to like that.
(Suddenly, Arlo and Spot come out of their production cell as Wade gasps and goes against the wall.)
Arlo: (chuckles nervously) Sorry.
Woody: Picture time, gang!
Mei Lee: (chuckles) Okay, here we come!
(Mei Lee, Miriam, Abby, Priya and Tyler jump out of their production cell while they laugh.)
Abby: Wake up, everyone!
(The Oozma Kappa come out of their production cell as Squishy yells while Russell, Carl and Dug walk down the hallway.)
Russell: Whoa!
Dug: Awesome!
Russell: Oh, Mr. Lightyear! Get the folks upstairs!
Buzz Lightyear: Roger that, Russell. To infinity and beyond!
(Buzz Lightyear flies upstairs as Lightning McQueen drives happily down the hall with Mater.)
Mater: Yee-haw!
Merida: (jumps out of her production cell) It's picture time! (runs to the lobby) We're meeting at the lobby!
Flik: Okay! See you there!
(Miguel Rivera and Riley Andersen ride on Dim as Dim flies to the lobby.)
Miguel Rivera: (hollers)
(Francis gives a fun ride to Dash Parr.)
Dash Parr: Whoa! Higher! (laughs)
(Francis chuckles as Remy and Emile slide down the stairs as Luca Paguro lands on the floor and sighs as he catches Nemo.)
Nemo: Water.
Luca Paguro: (shudders and rushes to the counter)
P.T. Flea: No, no, no, there's no time for snacks!
Luca Paguro: Uh, Andy! A little help here?
Andy Davis: Oh, uh, let me see here. There we go, a nice bucket of water.
(Luca Paguro dunks Nemo to a bucket of water.)
Nemo: (grunts)
Linguini: (chuckles) Oh, waiter! There's a fish in the bucket! (laughs)
(Ernesto de la Cruz tries to get candy from the vending machine while he curses in Spanish as Mr. Incredible and Frozone walk down the hall.)
Mr. Incredible: Yikes! Do you think all the villains might catch up?
Frozone: Hmm. (freezes Syndrome in his frame) Not all.
Syndrome: (strains)
(Rex goes to the elevator with Imelda Rivera, Manticore, Ian, Barley and Laurel Lightfoot.)
Imelda Rivera: Going down?
Roz: Hold the elevator. I'm going to the lobby.
Rex: Huh? Oh, you've got to be joking.
(Joe Gardner hums to "Put On Your Sunday Clothes" while he draws Hector Rivera.)
Brook Ripple: Hey, black man. Shake a leg, will ya?
Joe Gardner: The leg won't make a difference, it's all in the wrist.
(Hector Rivera bursts out of the drawing as Joe Gardner shrieks in surprise.)
Hector Rivera: Ay! I haven't seen a fall like that since Spain. (fixes the chair) Oh! Much better.
(At the men's room, Hopper, 4*Town and Chef Skinner freshen up as Chef Skinner blows a kiss and chuckles. Suddenly, Tuck and Roll appear in front of his eyes, laughing, as Jessie opens the door.)
Jessie: Let's move it, gentlemen!
(While Lorenzo Paguro tries to free his wife Daniela Paguro from her picture, Giulia Marcovaldo walk with Buster, Mr. Mittens, Larry and Machivelli.)
Giulia Marcovaldo: Uh-huh. Meeting at the lobby. Don't eat the rats.
(Scud tries to eat Remy and Emile but Dante pops up and scares Scud away, thus saving the rats' lives. While Izzy and her team walk by, Mei Lee and her friends watch a cartoon on a TV.)
Izzy Hawthorne: Come on, everyone, you're gonna have nightmares.
(Zurg pops out of the TV and scares Mei Lee and her friends away, laughing. Back at the elevator, Roz makes it in time.)
Roz: Thanks very much for holding the elevator.
Rex: (groans)
Evelyn Deavor: I'm also going to the lobby as well.
Rex: Huh? Oh, come on!
(While M-O is being followed and annoyed by Dot, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson follow down the stairs, where Mr. Anderson is the one to drop his wallet and they laugh. Buster picks up the wallet and runs off with it.)
Mr. Anderson: Hey, Buster! Andy, get your dog!
(Woody follows up the stairs as he looks amused when he sees Underminer leading Colette Tatou with his hypnosis watch.)
Woody: Underminer? Underminer! You-- You stop that now, Underminer!
Rosie: Don't worry, Woody. (chuckles) I got this.
(Rosie hits Underminer offscreen unconsciously.)
Woody: Huh. (gasps) Wow.
(Woody looks up at photographs of John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter, Lee Unkrich and Joe Ranft while he takes his hat off.)
Buzz Lightyear: Oh, Woody, where are you? We're at the lobby!
Woody: (chuckles) Got to go, but thanks. (puts his hat back on) On with the show.
(At the lobby, Woody rides on WALL-E with a fire extinguisher)
Woody: Yee-haw!
Mike Wazowski: Coast is clear, Sheriff.
Woody: Great! (holds the door open) Right this way, everybody.
(Sulley bumps into the door.)
Woody: Oh! Sulley, are you okay?
James P. Sullivan: (grunts) Never better, Eastwood. (accidentally trips the trash can)
Stinky Pete: I knew I'm surrounded by... (gets startled by Slim who rides on EVE) Idiots!
Slim: Tallyho! Whee! I'll show you the world! (laughs)
Woody: Oh, great, the ladder.
(Buzz sets the ladder while he hums.)
Mr. Dicker: Every time it gets hard. Money, money, money.
Woody: All right, everyone. Get-- Get together now. (to Tinny) Oh. After you, Tinny.
Emile: Oh. Pardon me.
Francis: (holds up a camera) Here's the camera, Lightyear.
Buzz Lightyear: (takes a camera and chuckles) Thanks, Francis. (climbs up the ladder)
Woody: Buzz, be careful!
Buzz Lightyear: (makes it to the top) All right, now where's the timer button?
Molt: Oh, oh! Three, two, one! (Randall Boggs grins)
(Buzz accidentally falls off while he screams and breaks the camera. As Buster walks to the broken camera, Buzz recognizes it.)
Andy Davis: Come on, Buster. (Buster runs back to Andy)
Buzz Lightyear: Huh? Oh, no. It's ruined.
Anger: Well, that was fun!
Sadness: Maybe we can try again in another forty years.
(The characters sigh disappointedly and are about to leave.)
Woody: Oh, no, no, wait. Come back. It-- It-- It'll be fine. It'll be...
(Just as the characters are about to leave, Randy Newman appears from nowhere while he plays "You've Got a Friend in Me" on piano with his orchestra.)
Randy Newman: ♪ You've got a friend in me ♪

(While the song goes on, Mr. Incredible fixes the camera as Buzz looks excited and Sulley puts the ladder back in position. Manny and Gipsy lift Buzz to help him up as Buzz sets the camera up for the photo.)

BRAINFART DRABBLE COZ I'M LOVING @ask-emilz-de-philz 's ELDRITCH GOD ABE x PRIEST EMIL THINGIE A/N: Please don't burn me at the stake, I'm relearning my craft + kinda forgot how to use tumblr XD tehee~
TW: DARK AND CONTROVERSIAL THEMES. IT MAY NOT BE FOR EVERYONE
Emilio's footsteps against the cold granite floors echoed along the empty church hall as he stood infront of the altar lined with the village tributes.
"Quite fancy, that your god is." A taunting whisper coming from the shadows sent chills down the young priest's spine. "Granite floors, gold cups, and free flowing tributes—"
"He's blessed the village this year— granted us a bountiful harvest and protected us from the harsh winter." Emilio rebutted.
"Is that what you tell yourself? That it is your god who did all this?" Abe's laugh reverberated all over the church, the sound bouncing along the walls that Emilio could swear it sounded like it came from all directions.
"Tell me, what does your god look like?" Abe came whispering, his voice an overlapping sound of every form he can take shape of.
Emilio's breath hitched in his throat. The words that cannot make it's way outside his lips felt like acid in his tongue.
"Tell me who do I have to look like to have you on your knees for me—"

MWW Artwork of the Day (5/25/23) Emile Friant (French, 1863-1932) Ombres portées [Cast Shadows](1891) Oil on canvas, 116 x 67 cm. Musée d'Orsay, Paris
In 1891, Friant presented four paintings at the Salon of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. One of these was "Cast Shadows" which he was careful to place prominently when submitting his works. He had already depicted young couples, outdoors and indoors, always carefully building his composition around an interplay of looks and hands. He did the same in 1891 but in a much more radical way. The protagonists are placed in front of a wall. The frontal light source, directed upwards, highlights the hands and faces. Beneath the dark clothes, their bodies are reduced to silhouettes. This treatment recalls an extract from Pliny's Natural History recounting how painting was invented: "[Dibutade] was in love with a young man; when he left for foreign lands, she traced the shadow of his face, projected on to a wall by the light of a lantern".

Come Nightfall tracklist & album notes
[every song & artist referenced in Come Nightfall]
Chapter 1 - Offer
A Change is Gonna Come – Sam Cooke
"While Sam Cooke's track burst into life, my brush tap-tap-tapped on canvas."
Chapter 3 - Date
2. Devil’s Gonna Git You – Bessie Smith A piano in a Bessie Smith song plinked with fervor.
3. Welcome to the Jungle – Guns N’ Roses "If you think I’m going to subject myself to Axl Rose, you’re out of your mind.”
4. Booze and Bules – Ma Rainey 5. State Street Rag – Louie Bluie 6. West Coast Blues – Blind Blake He tripped over himself explaining the origins of Detroit blues (Ma Rainey! Louie Bluie! Blind Blake!) and the birth of twelve-bar blues, whatever the hell that meant.
7. Lohengrin: Prelude – Richard Wagner “So what's on the menu for tonight?” gesturing with my head to the tiny stereo. “Wagner, to celebrate my being done reading that freak Nietzsche?”
8. Clair de Lune – Debussy 9. In the Garden – Emile Pandolfi 10. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Op 18: Adagio sostenuto – Sergei Rachmaninoff “You know what it reminds me of?” I said, patting his knee. “Debussy. With a little Emile Pandolfi zhuzh to it. Or like if Rachmaninov woke up one day and decided to write something a little more understated.”
11. Blue Velvet – Bobby Vinton "You know I like your recs.” “Except Bobby Vinton.” “Fifties trash," I said with a dismissive shrug.
12. Bella’s Lullaby (From “Twilight”) – Carter Burwell “It’s a lullaby. Your lullaby. I wrote it for you.”
Chapter 5 - Party
13. It Had to Be You – Bing Crosby “The last real birthday party any of us had was for Emmett in 1945,” Edward said. “I believe Bing Crosby was on the top of the charts.”
14. I Want It That Way – Backstreet Boys “So,” I said, “Backstreet Boys, huh? Nice.”
15. End of the Road – Boyz II Men Alice knew my secret. As an avid Boyz II Men fan, we’d jam out to 90s boy bands in the car on the way to the mall. It was the only way Alice could get me to the mall.
16. What a Girl Wants – Christina Aguilera Christina Aguilera’s “What a Girl Wants” began to play in the background. Alice danced near a cluster of flickering candles while she snapped a picture of herself.
OCTOBER
17. Thriller – Michael Jackson Red solo cup in hand, I sat beside the radiator. Observing the sky of drunken college kids dancing, chatting, flirting above me. Listening to Michael Jackson's “Thriller” for what seemed like half an hour.
18. Teenagers – My Chemical Romance Angela had confessed her love for My Chemical Romance on the car ride over, but she was never a classic rock fan.
NOVEMBER
19. You Go to My Head – Frank Sinatra Frank Sinatra’s voice chased me down the hall. The cold tickle of Edward’s lips sing-whispering “You Go to My Head” had done it. So soft, so sweet, so irritating, so real, too real, stop, Edward, leave me alone—
DECEMBER
20. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Frank Sinatra 21. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Bing Crosby 22. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Tony Bennett
Chapter 12 - Hunting
23. Hammer Smashed Face – Cannibal Corpse “‘Hammer Smashed Face’.” “What?” “Cannibal Corpse?” “What?” “I’m, uh. I’m sorta into metal now.”
24. Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) – Backstreet Boys 25. Say My Name – Destiny’s Child 26. Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana Not only did the glovebox contain emotional support picks from childhood that didn’t remind me of my ex—Backstreet Boys’ Millennium, Destiny Child’s The Writing’s On The Wall, and Nirvana’s Nevermind, among others—but also a cannister of prerolls and ‘shrooms I’d inherited after the death of Ang’s stoner phase.
27. Still – Geto Boys I flipped the radio on and fiddled with the dial until I found something lively, loud, and safe from memories of him: Geto Boys rapping about picking out our victims when the time is right—
28. Still D.R.E. – Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg The truck became quiet enough to hear the soft plinking keys of “Still D.R.E.” over the radio.
Chapter 13 - Friends
29. Hey Ya! – Outkast While Jacob babbled, he bobbed his head out of rhythm to Outkast’s “Hey Ya” whispering over the radio.
30. Bennie and the Jets – Elton John The list became longer as quickly as daylight retreated from the garage. No way could we accomplish everything in one summer. [...] Backpacking through China, seeing Elton John live, breaking Kenenisa Bekele’s world record, falling madly in love.
Chapter 14 - Adrenaline
31. By the Time I Get to Phoenix – Dorothy Ashby Dorothy Ashby’s harp plinked in the background.
SATURDAY
32. Hips Don’t Lie – Shakira A poster of a bikini-clad Shakira crinkled under my weight.
Chapter 22 - Family, Part 2
33. Who Am I (What’s My Name) – Snoop Dogg Snoop Dogg rapped softly between choruses of girls singing his name. Jake groaned. “Old rap? You’re on this again?”
34. Complicated – Avril Lavigne Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated” played quietly. I resisted the urge to turn the dial.
35. Doctor Jazz – Jelly Roll Morton Truth was, I fell in love with Edward. Period. Not just the trivialities, like the song he loved to drive to (Jelly Roll Morton’s “Doctor Jazz”), the books he loved to read aloud to me in the meadow (Marcel Proust’s Swann’s Way), or the movies we watched on rainy days (Shakespeare adaptations, mostly).
Chapter 24 - Deviations
36. Voice of the Soul - Death “Death is okay,” Edward answered without enthusiasm. “Get real. Death is awesome.” “As if you would know?” “As if you would know,” I retorted. I pulled it out from the Pre-Owned bin. “Look at this. Tell me this album cover doesn’t scream ‘expertly curated collection of badass metal ballads’.”
37. Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds – The Beatles Posters covered the store, from The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper’s to handmade CDs ~ Buy 2 Get 1 Free! signs.
38. Beyond the Cemetery – Cannibal Corpse “When I finally get around to exploring the genre beyond Metallica—” I waved the CD case “—these guys right here. Or, ooh, maybe this. Cannibal Corpse. Tomb of the Mutilated. Wow. Yikes.”
39. Meditation, Op. 42, No. 1 – Tchaikovsky, Leonid Kogan “Okay. Are we done casing the joint or what? Do they have it?” “At the front—under lock and key. Now the issue becomes a matter of price.” “Soviet violinist dude has a price?” “A steep one,” said Edward, “and warranted, being among one of the greatest violinist 'dudes' of the twentieth century.”
40. They Can’t Take That Away From Me – Frank Sinatra “We may never never meet again, on that bumpy rooooaaaaad to love.” “How can you be so casual about it?” “Still, I'll always, always keep the memory of…” He spun me around; my sopping shoes squished. “The way you hold your knife, doo-doo-doo doo doo-doo…”
Chapter 25 - Fate
41. Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door – Guns N’ Roses “I’m not concussed.” To prove it, I rattled off the date, the sitting president, and the names of all the guys in Guns N’ Roses.
Chapter 27 - Volterra
42. Orfeo ed Euridice, Wq 30: Dance of the Furies Over the machine’s growl, I could feel the pulse of the frantic string instruments of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo in my seat—Alice’s unsuccessful attempt at getting me to calm the fuck down.
Chapter 28 - Verdict
43. Maramao perche sei morto* – Trio Lescano (*NOTE: not referenced by name) Music burst from behind the thick antechamber doors, some upbeat Italian swing music on vinyl that sounded straight out of the 1940s.
44. As Time Goes By – Billie Holiday Buoyant plinking piano notes of Billie Holiday’s “As Time Goes By” spilled down the long hallway, filling the somber, imposing space with life.
45. You’re as Pretty as a Picture – Al Bowlly A female server flashed me a dazzling smile, offering her tray of fancy desserts. Some upbeat Al Bowlly song pulsed in the background. Like a statue reanimated after a broken spell, Edward bared his fangs at the enemy.
46. What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong We rose above the murder and death, but “What a Wonderful World” still followed us over the tinny speakers.
21:32
47. The Devil Went Down to Georgia – The Charlie Daniels Band* (*NOTE: not referenced by name) "I happen to know the devil holds fiddle battles in exchange for souls."
Chapter 31 - Postmortem
48. Bein’ Green – Van Morrison Leah stared at the portable speaker playing Van Morrison’s “Bein’ Green”, one of Harry’s favorite songs.
49. Bring It On Home – Lou Rawls Lou Rawls played in the background. I choked on a chuckle remembering the way Harry used to dance in that lame dad way of his—the pumping of his arms, the slow shoulder shimmy, the hip bump he’d do to Sue to make her giggle…

Famous Five Art Nostalgia #03 – Part 1
Introductory post
Masterpost
🛶🥫👒 Five Run Away Together / Le Club des Cinq contre-attaque
Original publication date: 1944 (UK), 1955 (France)
(Original cover art by Simone Baudouin, 1955)
Sadly, this is the one book for which I haven’t been able to find all the illustrations online, and which I don’t currently own a copy of. I’ll update this post if I ever get my hands on an original copy and find the full set of illustrations, but until then that's it.
I am very happy to report that I have now found a copy of the book with the original Baudouin illustrations. It was all the more frustrating not to have an original copy of this particular book because 1) both as a kid and now, this book was and remains one of my favourites, and 2) once upon a time, I DID own this elusive book: it was among those that belonged to my mum when she was a child; unfortunately at some point, I exchanged some of the FF books with a friend who lent me some of hers in return, the idea being that we would switch back all the books to their original owners after reading them, but time passed and we never made the switchback :(
I was so giddy to finally get my hands on a copy that I couldn’t resist including some of the black and white illustrations as well as the full-colour ones!

Plot summary (adapted from Wikipedia):
Julian, Dick and Anne arrive in Kirrin Cottage to stay with George for the holidays. They discover that Aunt Fanny and Uncle Quentin have hired a temporary cook because their regular help Joanna [Maria] had to take a few days off. The new cook, Mrs Stick [Mme Friol, later Mme Friot] is decidedly unfriendly and comes accompanied with her equally unfriendly husband, their nasty, tiresome son Edgar (Emile) and their mangy-looking dog Tinker [Théo], soon dubbed Stinker [Fléau (scourge)] by George.
(George living the good life… and bored out her mind waiting for her cousins to arrive)
(Edgar the brat)
(Julian uses a water hose to separate the two dogs who have been fighting, and can’t pass on the opportunity to douse Edgar)
The Five plan to spend time exploring Kirrin Island but their happiness is spoilt when Aunt Fanny falls ill and has to leave with Uncle Quentin to be treated in a far-off hospital.
(Julian [dark-haired, as he is always depicted by this illustrator] comforts an uncharacteristically weeping George, upset about her mother’s illness)
With George’s parents away, things soon escalate between the Kirrins and the Sticks, as Edgar keeps on mocking the kids in general and George in particular, and Mrs Stick delights in denying them tasty meals, only giving them just enough to get by. The kids retaliate as much as they can, but they don’t want to antagonise the Sticks too much while Aunt Fanny is still ill.
(Julian gives Edgar his just deserts when the brat mocks George one time too many)
(A triumphant Julian and Timmy bring back the Sticks’ dinner after the Five have been denied anything but bread and cheese)
(A quiet card game in the evening)
Mrs Stick repeatedly tries to poison George's dog Timmy, prompting George to hatch a secret plan to run away to Kirrin Island. When Julian catches her leaving, she decides to allow the other children to go with her.
(Preparations for an exciting trip!)
(A surreptitious walk to the beach)
The children settle on the island, reacquainting themselves with the place, but realise they can’t sleep in the ruined castle because the roof fell in. Unsure what to do, they decide to check out the wreck to see if it could make a decent sleeping place. It doesn’t, and they finally settle in a cosy little cave in the cliff.
(Climbing the wall outside the castle to get a good view on the wreck)
(George masterfully throws a rope around a post so they can climb aboard the wreck)
(After settling in the cave, the kids spend a nice day relaxing and enjoying the island)
While exploring, the children find evidence of other people visiting the island and suspect smugglers. The discovery of a young girl's toys and clothes point to something sinister going on. They decide to set up a watch and hide their presence as much as possible. And indeed they soon discover that none other than the Sticks have come to the island and intend to stay!
(Hiding the boat from unwelcome prying eyes)
(The aforementioned unwelcome prying eyes 😠)
The children discover the Sticks have imprisoned a young girl, Jennifer Armstrong, on the island and are holding her for ransom. After tormenting the Sticks into a retreat, the children rescue the girl and take her to the police, who are amazed to see the child "the whole country is looking for."
(The children make animal noises to frighten the Sticks in the echoing dungeons: Dick is the cow 🐮, Julian the sheep 🐑, and George the horse 🐴!)
(Edgar unexpectedly falls into the cave where the Five have been camping)
(Anne “plays house” and tidies up the cave)
(Jennifer meets some chivalrous rescuers!)
The police accompany them back to the island in time to trap and arrest the Sticks. The kidnapped girl's father allows her to spend a week with her new friends on Kirrin Island.
(Goodbye, Famous Five (+ Jennifer)!)

I made this myself,
I wanted to make a reference to the Wall-E Title cover
But I didn’t know how I would add the trash everywhere and Amphibia itself so I just decided to add in Trash cube towers instead
now I did Marc-E’s design a bit different to Wall-E to make her feel more distinct and unique in her colorless, lifeless environment that is
post apocalyptic Amphibia and I do apologize if they looked like they been traced over is because yeah they’re traced
but in my defense I am terrible at drawing humans & other creatures that are not Dinosaurs
in the background I added the violet color on the top, it represents outer space while the blue represents the sky
I added in Marc-E’s love interest Ann-E she is the EVE of this AU and like eve she has a directive of finding plant life to prove Amphibia
is once again a habitable world

Dutch company makes bricks from cow-dung and agricultural waste
A Dutch company makes bricks from agricultural waste (biopolymers) and cow manure. The inventors got their inspiration from India, where houses are plastered with cow dung. According to the company, the bricks are waterproof, and even stronger and cheaper than traditional bricks. The company primarily focuses on Africa.
“Of course, we have a lot of cow dung in the Netherlands thanks to our cheese production," laughs CoolBricks[1] co-founder Emile Smeenk, "but the idea was originally conceived in India. The houses are built with earth (mud) and to prevent part of them from raining away, the walls are plastered with cow manure. But that keeps happening."
That is why creator Yask Kulshreshtha, in collaboration with the Delft University of Technology[2], tried to see if bricks could also be made from cow manure. "It turned out that they are not only water-resistant, but also stronger and half the price of traditional bricks," says Smeenk. "Cow manure has been used for thousands of years, but no one knew what the secret was," says Emile Smeenk of CoolBricks. The recipe? Sandy loam, fresh cow dung and remains of agricultural waste. "You press everything into blocks under high compression with a hand press and then dry them in the air."
"Our bricks do not have to be fired, unlike traditional bricks that are heated at high temperatures for days. That causes enormous emissions. Our bricks do not have that." Building with clay and earth has been happening for thousands of years and in some countries, such as India and Yemen, it still happens often. “There are many good examples worldwide, even buildings up to 7 floors high,” says Smeenk. "Parts of the Great Wall of China are also built from earth."
"We often think that new building materials, such as concrete, are much better. But it is not without reason that the old techniques have been so successful for thousands of years. It comes down to reinventing and improving those old techniques."
"We have had a pavilion in the Netherlands for 2.5 years now, a kind of test house. And despite the rain, wind and frost, the pavilion is still in extremely good condition. There is hardly any erosion. We expect our stones to have a lifespan of at least reach 50 years."
CoolBricks currently focuses mainly on African countries. "We have designed the process in such a way that you can make the bricks in the most remote village in Africa, with local products and without electricity. The first projects are now running in Uganda, but there is also potential in Western Europe."

[1] CoolBricks are 100% natural, bio-stabilized earthen bricks based on active ingredients derived from cow-dung. The key ingredients of CoolBricks are earth (mud), active ingredients derived from cow dung and a mix of additional biopolymers to optimize the formula. This mixture is compressed into a block, which results in a neat looking product. The same mixture can also be used for the mortar to further create cost advantages for our clients. The blocks are not fired and contain no cement, thereby making it truly 100% recyclable and environment-friendly. https://www.thecoolbricks.com/

"TWO GIVEN LONG TERM FOR THEFT," North Bay Nugget. December 14, 1942. Page 9. ---- Five Years in Penitentiary for Entering Stores at Englehart ---- Haileybury, Dec. 14 - Convicted here Saturday by Magistrate Atkinson on two charges of breaking and entering Englehart stores in the early hours of November 25, Emile Dumais [TOP] and Robert Chauvette [BOTTOM], both with prison records and both out of St. Vincent de Paul Penitentiary a few months, were sentenced to five years in Portsmouth penitentiary. Five other counts, four of them. similar in nature to those in which they were found guilty and the other one of being in illegal possession of house-breaking instruments, were not pressed by the crown.
Druggist Lauded After sentencing accused, the magistrate congratulated John Litster, Englehart druggist, on the part he had played in the case. Mr. Litster told the court how he had gone downstairs from his apartment after hearing sounds in his store below, and recognizing one man as Chauvette and noticing the other, who wore a handkerchief across the lower part of his face, and wearing a brown windbreaker similar to those in which accused were dressed in court, and of accompanying Provincial Constable Walker in search of the car in which the men escaped.
Thirty-one fountain pens, a similar number of pencils and a quantity of cigarettes were taken from the Litster store, and these were found later by Constables McDonald and Ainsley of the Kirkland Lake detachment of the O.P.P. in a dry creek bed not far from where the car in which Chauvette and Dumals were driving had stopped shortly before the officers arrested the pair.
[AL: Dumais had served a single previous term in the St. Vincent de Paul Penitentiary in Laval. He was 21, single, French Canadian, a construction worker in Rouyn, Quebec, where he lived. He was convict #7159 at Kingston Penitentiary and worked in an construction workcrew outside the walls. In March 1944 he was transferred to Manitoba Penitentiary, and participated in a protest later that year against this transfer. He was released by parole in 1946. Chauvette had also served a single previous term in the St. Vincent de Paul Penitentiary in Laval, as well as four terms in the Montreal Jail. He was 21, single, French Canadian, a construction worker as well on the same crew as Dumais, and from Lakenik, Quebec. Interestingly, he was removed to Quebec for a 'religious profanation trial' and given a consecutive six month term! He fought his conviction but his appeal was dismissed in January 1943. He was convict #7223 and worked in a few different workshops at Kingston Penitentiary. He was transferred with Dumais in 1944, becoming inmate #4286 at Saskatchewan Penitentiary. He took part in a strike in the tailor shop in August 1944 at that prison. He was eventually released in 1947.]

O autor considera justificadas as acusações contra Hitler.
2- “Não existiu uma pessoa chamada Sidney Warburg, em Nova York, em 1933 e também em lugar algum neste ou em diferentes épocas, segundo é de meu conhecimento”;

Darling, won't you ease my worried mind?
Derek and the Dominos - Layla and other Assorted Love Songs (Polydor UK/Atco US, 1970) - Painting by Frandsen-De Schomberg
Band member Bobby Whitlock explains how the painting came to be the cover in this interview:
We stayed at the home of the artist who painted the Layla cover, Frandsen de Schonberg. His son was named Emile and he was the one to welcome us and get us all settled in at the farm. It was a little traditional French stone farm house with an artist studio out in the back of the place. It really was a farm but had only chickens and ducks running around the grounds. No cattle or horses or any of the normal animals you would expect to find on a farm. The only animals there were us. We had gotten all settled in and the first night went by. We were to go to the event that next day but as we were walking out the door to go to the concert our road manager came in and told us that the stage and all of the equipment had been burned by a group of revolutionaries. They were protesting us and everyone else on the show. They probably wouldn't have burned everything had they known that it wasn't ours. It all belonged to their people. It was ok with us that the gig was off. We turned around at the door and walked back into the house. Kicked back in the front room and said, "What's next?" Just about that time I walked into the kitchen at the exact moment to receive a fresh flying egg delivered by Eric [Clapton]! That's when it all started. Carl [Radle] wanted nothing to do with it and went into his room and closed the door. The kitchen table had a very large basket of fresh chicken and duck eggs in the middle of it. They were trying to make us feel welcome and at home. We were about to abuse that privilege to the max! Eric and I started pelting each other with the eggs and it was going everywhere! Jim [Gordon] jumped in on the fun and eggs were flying all over the house. We chased each other from room to room throwing chicken and duck eggs at one another. I remembered that Carl had elected to not engage in our little tirade and had gone to his room and closed the door. I snuck up real quiet like and opened his door and he was across the room reading a book. He was totally absorbed in it when I called his name. He looked up just at the exact moment to get it right in the forehead with a duck egg. It was just waay too funny! He jumped up and joined in and by this time the walls and floors and ceilings were all covered with egg. We depleted the basket rather quickly and Eric was just about to throw the last egg when in walked Emile. Eric was standing there with the "smoking egg" in hand. Caught in the act with egg on all of our faces! Guilty as sin! Emile seemed to not pay any attention to what we had done to his father's house and said that we should not worry about it and that the housekeeper would clean everything up. He then asked for us to follow him to the art studio because he had gifts that his father had waiting for us all. Here we had trashed his home and he was giving us gifts! Talk about feeling a bit like a lowly snail. When we walked into the studio, there it was. The painting that would be the cover that everyone has come to know as Layla ...
Whoof. Good luck digesting all that.
Clapton had to pay Schomberg's family compensation when he altered the artwork for the album's 40th anniversary release. He assumed that since the painting was given to him, he didn't need permission to change it. Idiot.
