This stunning red velvet cloak, lavishly trimmed with leopard fur, was first introduced to audiences in the 1971 television miniseries ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น, worn by Glenda Jackson in her iconic portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I. ย Just a year later, this same cloak made an easy-to-miss appearance when it was used briefly as a prop in ๐ด๐๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐โ๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐, in the ๐ป๐๐

This red Tudor gown was designed for Glenda Jacksonโs portrayal of Elizabeth in the wonderful 1971 miniseries ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น. ๐คฉ The gown was loosely based on a painting by William Scrots of Elizabeth as a young princess. ๐จ ย The dress went on to be used in the 2000 documentary ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: ๐ป๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

โ๐ ๐ฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๐๐๐๐ ๐ธ๐๐๐๐, ๐ธ where Imogen Slaughter wore it. Interestingly, the dress appears to have been made over to resemble a more accurate representation of Elizabethโs gown in the Scrots portrait. The partlet was removed, pearls and jewels were added to the neckline, and new sleeves (from the coronation gown from ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น) were added, among other changes. ๐ ย The dress would be seen the following year in another documentary ๐บ โ ๐ป๐๐ ๐บ๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ, where an uncredited actress wore it as Princess Elizabeth. ย It was worn several more times over the years, but we cannot document them all on our social channels. ELIZABETH R (1971)
ELIZABETH R
1971
Elizabeth R is a historic television 6-part series which stars Glenda Jackson as Elizabeth I of England. It was filmed at Penshurst Place and Chiddingstone, Kent. The TV series begins in 1549, with Princess Elizabethโs ascent to the throne and ends with her death in 1603. It was so popular when it was first broadcast that they had to replay it immediately afterwards due to audience demand. The series was created after the success of the TV series the โSix Wives of Henry VIIIโ (1970). Glenda Jackson played Elizabeth I once again for the Mary Queen of Scots (1971). Costume designer Elizabeth Waller recreated many of Elizabethโs actual gowns, adapting them from her portraits. The dresses went on display at Hampton Court Palace.

The Death of A Dynasty
On this day in history 24th of March 1603, Elizabeth I the final Tudor monarch of England died at the age of sixty nine in Richmond Palace.

She was the daughter Of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. She's known as The Virgin Queen as in her near fourty five year reign she never married or had children. She became known as Gloriana or Good Queen Bess as she was an exceptional Queen. She is known for her religious tolerance and she defeated the Spanish Armada. She was the longest reogning Tudor Monarch.
Elizabeth never forgit who her mother was. She always acknowledged her mother Queen Anne Boleyn and had a ring with her mother's portrait alongside her own. When the rjng is closed the two portraits are side by side

She executed her first cousin once removed Mary Steward(Or Stuart) Queen of Scots in February of 1587. Its said that on her death bed she muttered the name "Marie" she deeply regretted executing Mary. Coincidentally Mary's son was Elizabeth's successor and became James I of England. Ere is her signitire that would have been on Mary's death warrant

Elizabeth didnt take to bed in her final days. She refused to take to bed as it may habe interred death. She sat on pillows on her bedroom floor for days, not moving or sleeping. Her health had deteriorated after the deaths of her friends all in 1602. She wrnt into a depression and her health faded.

She went down in history as one of and if not the best monarch in English history.
She is buried in The Lady Chapel in Westminster Abbey with her Tudor ancestors and is buried with her older half sister Mary I of England daughter of Catalina De Aragon and Henry VIII.

Since the death of the Duke, the Queen had been becoming visibly frail. On Thursday, I saw screenshots from social media of her children rushing to Balmoral; I commented that this did not look good. Later, Huw Edwards wore a black tie on BBC; I knew this was it. The Queen is dead. People in China seemed genuinely surprised that the Queenโs health had been in decline, but after all, she is a woman 96 years of age. We are all bracing for this day; hopefully, it will come later rather than now, but in the end, it did come. Soon, the Chinese Social media exploded with the news that the Queen had died. This Queen, a foreign head of state, clearly meant something to the Chinese. Personally, Iโve never had strong feelings about the monarchy except for the fact that she was the only Queen I knew. Her ubiquitous presence is everywhere. She is on the stamps I licked, the money I use, and the passport I travel with. It was her who signed my commission, ElizabethR, that conferred me with the status of commissioned officer in Her Majesty Armed Forces, a little bit of Elizabeth Windsor that I will always treasure. This is an opportunity to take a moment to reflect on the passing of a person who has played a key role in every Briton, from 80 to a 20-year-old. Her omnipresence has to be a product of the longevity of her reign. Very few of us alive today can recall anyone else sitting on the British Throne. That fact alone makes the notion of a King Charles III so strange and unfamiliar and singing God Save the King, something we all need to get used to. To have seen another British Monarch, one has to be in their eighties. My late mum, who died in 2004, had lived through the reigns of four monarchs in her 72 years. Iโve managed to rack up almost as many years without witnessing a single coronation. The Queen is a keystone, an enduring symbol of steadfastness in the ever-changing world. So when they bury her next week, I will be sad, not so much for the passing of a Monarch, but for the passing of a generation.

Among TVโs most delightfully haunted settings, BBCโs ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐ shines with its eccentric manor, filled with spectral adventures. In the 2021 episode ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐, Chloรฉ Delanney graced the screen wearing this stunning French hood. This elegant piece, designed by Margaret Furse, boasts a rich history beyond the series. It has made appearances in various film and television productions, including Daphne Slaterโs portrayal of Queen Mary I in the 1971 ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น and Geneviรจve Bujoldโs role as Anne Boleyn in ๐จ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

When climbing with GFlo, it was the same and there is always someone who accidentally reveals the secret. ๐ค๐๐Itโs absolutely insane if heโs demanding everyone tiptoe around him like heโs the Queen of England and they are his courtiers keeping him safe. ๐ Do you rememberโฆ๐คญ๐คซ๐
