Hey FNAF fans! I want to write angst, but can’t write angst in the fic yet.

This one will have spoilers for events happening kinda soon.

CONTENT WARNING FOR DEATH GORE AND TRAUMATIZATION OF A CHILD

“But daddy!” Lizzie wailed, grabbing at the tools hanging from dad’s belt. “You said she was mine!”

“Liz, just because she’s based on you doesn’t mean she belongs to you,” I looked over at the show stage, where three, brand-new animatronics stood, shining in their chromatic complexity. “Besides, you saw them in the garage when dad was building them.”

“…” Elizabeth glared at me with the rage only an entitled 12 year old can possess. “It’s MY party.”

“They’re dangerous. Daddy said so,” Evan mumbled, holding dad’s tool bag close to his chest.

“None of you are any help! Daddy!” She whipped around to face dad again, except dad was gone. Headed into the back room, probably. “This isn’t fair!” She yelled as she slammed herself back into a chair.

“Liz,” “no! It’s my party and I can’t even go near the animatronics? Daddy promised this would be the best party and so far, I’m not even meant to leave this room!” I barely had time to speak before the door slammed shut. I heard the crash outside, and saw the wave of kids and parents running out. Even Evan looked up from what he was pulling apart in dad’s bag.

Liz looked around as the room emptied, and I saw the damn smirk on her face when she realized there was nothing stopping her from seeing baby.

I tried to open the door. It was locked. “Elizabeth!” I shouted. She either didn’t hear me, or didn’t care. “Elizabeth come open the door! It’s stuck!”

I watched as she walked up to Circus Baby, and she stopped singing. “You’re so pretty,” she said. “Daddy said he made you to be just like me. Do you know that?”

The thing towered over her. It waved at her, and Lizzie giggled. It was smiling down at liz. Her eyes were almost piercingly blue. I hated that these animatronics could smile. I hated their eyes. It was terrifying. Its stomach hatch opened, and a small rod extended. A single ice cream cone. It looked like chocolate? Elizabeth reached for that perfectly swirled cone. It didn’t even look real. The room was still empty. As she grabbed the cone, she thanked Circus Baby with a smile.

Evan huffed as he joined me at the window. “No fair! I want ice crea!-”

My heart stopped. That.. claw? Something lunged out of Baby’s chest the second Elizabeth licked the ice cream. It grabbed her, I heard a crunch as Elizabeth was pulled into the animatronic. All of a sudden, the room was full again. I shoved Evan to the floor. “Evan, no matter what you do, do not move until I get you.” I took a few steps back before ramming into the door with my shoulder and running up to that thing. Every other animatronic has some kind of fail safe. I heard the choking breaths and sobs inside. “Hold on, I’m getting you out, I’m here!” I yelled. I could’ve sworn I heard her say my name. Dad would have killed me if he’d known I was making a scene like this. I banged on its chest too. For good measure. So Liz knew someone was here. I looked everywhere. No emergency button, no place for a wrench. I felt hopeless, watching the trickle of blood leak from baby’s back. Every time Baby moved, I heard the sharp crunch, another soft sob, saw another spurt of blood, and found myself begging for my sister to be alive.

After a while, almost 2 minutes, I think? Evan came in with dad. My head was throbbing. He shoved me aside, and I watched as he did the same thing I did, as he banged desperately on baby’s chest and pulled at that hatch. Screaming. Evan pulled on my shirt as dad screamed. I picked him up. I didn’t want to let go of him. At some point, for us to go outside. At some point, someone called 911.

At some point, I promised Evan he wouldn’t have to go near one again. I’d protect him.

At some point, Uncle Henry showed up. Asking us what happened? Where’s your sister? Evan was crying too much to answer. I barely got words out before Dad was there, explaining. There was an “accident.” It would ruin Fazbear Entertainment. It had to stay a secret, he would figure out the details.

At some point, dad told us there was a gas leak, and if the police asked, that’s what we had to tell them. We would back up the story. Dad would assure them he could handle this. They believed him.

There was never a point where dad acknowledged the blood on my face and hands, or the blood staining his white dress shirt.

There was never a point where dad acknowledged that Circus Baby’s eyes were green, or that someone had to have designed her to do.. that. Dad never acknowledged that Elizabeth was dead because of… that.

Uncle Henry took us home, dad told him he was going to the hospital with Lizzie.

No ambulance ever showed up.

After Lizzie “disappearance,” Michael forgot the weird Plushbear sighting in the Circus Baby Room.

Lizzie, after waking up in Circus Baby, forgot how much her new toy had sounded like her younger brother.

And, if years later, when Michael staggered home with Ennard in tow, David felt any guilt over both his siblings’ fates—well, he’s never shown it. After all, everyone knows Lizzie wandered in there on her own—what would he have to feel guilty over?

It didn’t all go dark the moment the jaws clamped down on Evan’s skull btw. He passed out about halfway through the drive to the hospital. He was awake for Mike panicking and apologizing, for William rushing in and wrapping his head in a towel and eventually taking it off because the blood just started caking it to his face and he couldn’t see. He was awake for a lot of the drive. He could hear William shouting at Mike to keep him awake, Mike shaking him and apologizing and dripping tears all over him while Elizabeth just stared in shock. At some point in the drive he wasn’t lucid enough to understand what was going on, only that Michael had hurt him and now he wouldn’t stop touching him, talking to him as all he wanted to do was drift off. He tried to pull himself away, but that just opened the wound even more.

The last bit of consciousness he remembered was driving past their house and trying to ask through the haze if he could go in and get his toys. No one could understand what he was saying by then, which didn’t matter, since he didn’t get to finish his sentence anyway.

something I don't think people think about enough is that, afton probably had to take elizabeth's corpse out of circus baby himself.

when she was caught in there, afton had to be the one to take her out. he was the only one who knew that baby could do that, and obviously he wouldn't want anyone to find out.

how long do you think it took? do you think be realised as soon as he noticed elizabeth was missing? was she stuck inside for days? did he put off taking her out to avoid the consequences of his actions?

god, what a horrible scene.

Once Michael becomes a mechanic at the rental bunker, he finally gets a glimpse at the blueprints for the funtimes.

He'd realize there was an emergency stop on Circus Baby this entire time and just break down entirely.

He went up to Baby after she snatched Elizabeth. Tried pulling on her chest and stomach plates because he caught a glimpse of his sister getting taken. He was right there. The realization that if he had just tried pulling on even just one of those pins on the robot, his sister would be alive, leaves him in shambles.

He arrives at home that night and doesn't even bother watching any TV. Instead, he goes into his room and just cries.

Calling it Michael's room is a bit generous, though. Michael really just took over William's room after he left.

He can't bring himself to sleep in his and Lizzie's shared room anymore.

No one has stepped foot in his brother's room since the accident.

He usually ends up sleeping on the couch for that reason. Prefers it to any of the houses' painfully empty rooms. But tonight is different. Even if he knows William hates him, even if he knows his father would never let him do something so childish when he's all grown up, Michael wants to, for just a moment, pretend his parents are there to comfort him. He wants nothing more than to just be small again, wants to pretend he's lying with his mother and father after some scary dream, and desperately wants to pretend that everything is just a bad dream.

He'll wake up and help Mom with the baby because he loves his little sister so much, and he knows Mom needs the help because of how busy Dad is with the diner. Dad will make them all breakfast and then have to be out the door by the time the rest of them sit down at the table, but it's okay because Michael knows he'll be back.

And then Michael wakes up for real. He grabs a pillow and holds it to his chest, gripping it like a lifeline before crying into it. He doesn't have any more tears in him. He just ends up sitting there and shaking as he leans down and buries his head in the pillow.

He stays like that until the sun finally goes down, and then he's off for another shift.

haven't been in the fandom in a while so my memory is a bit fuzzy but the writers hate her sooooo bad it's not even funny. she started having a redemption arc where she realized the error of her ways and started working on herself as a person bc she wanted to be a hero and then did a 180° by siding with the villain. writer called her irredeemable multiple times on twitter despite the fact that she's just a spoiled bratty teenager who was also emotionally abused by her mother. her dad gets victimized despite the fact that he was complacent in the abuse and never tried to help her be a better person. overrall what the hell were you guys THINKING!!!

SHE HAD SO MUCH GOING FOR HER.... The writers tried giving her a redemption arc but then the creator of the show said that she, a TEENAGE GIRL, was incapable of change and redemption so all of that development was thrown in the trash and she became a shallow character again. Meanwhile, the creator gives a mini redemption arc to the MAIN VILLAIN, who literally ABUSED AND NEGLECTED HIS SON. She deserved so much better man

Typical Mean Girl character with an aborted redemption arc. Chloe has bullied the main protagonist Marinette Dupian-Cheng for a very long time. However, in Season 2 there was a beginning of a redemption arc that was wholly abandoned because the new showrunner deemed that a mean girl (who had an absentee/abusive mother and a limp noodle of a father) is evil incarnate and therefore can not be redeemed in good faith. The one good influence on Chloe's life abandoned her at the time of need and the fandom belittles and blames her for reverting back to her abusive ways when really she was left behind by the narrative. Even her own half-sister never gave her the time of day.

OH MY GOD. DUDE.Ok so she was a main (ish) villain within the first 1-3 seasons, but over time she was slowly getting a redemption arc, and we were getting more info about her past, and it turns out she was pretty heavily neglected as a kid (WHICH EXPLAINS WHY SHE WOULD ACT LIKE A BAD PERSON). And then, Thomas "dipshit" Astruc decided to THROW AWAY HER ENTIRE REDEMPTION ARC, AND WRITE HER OUT OF THE FUCKING SHOW!!!! AND THEY *REPLACED HER* WITH AN RANDOM NEW CHARACTER, EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS LITERALLY ONE OF THE MAIN HEROES???? And when confronted about why the fuck he would write that, Thomas said that she COULDN'T BE REDEEMED. Mind you, this is a TEENAGER, and a abused one at that! I'm sorry if this sounds like like a 2010's YouTube cartoon reviewer ass rant but oh my lord ,,,Chloe I could've saved you

i havent watched nor caught up in a while, but from what i remember: she started out as a typical 1-dimensional mean girl, but then they gave her a surprising amount of depth?? like she got to be queen bee, learn responsibility as a superhero, she even is one of only a couple characters we know of to actually fight off hawkmoth's power. they were going to really interesting places with her character, and we were all excited for her redemption arc.

...and then they made her a flat villain again, taking away all of her complexity and development, and instead gave the powers and depth to a new sister of hers that suddenly arrived out of nowhere instead. what

"Okay. So. This poor child was apparently neglected, left to die, potentially took her own life (depends upon the theory you subscribe to) all because she wanted to feel like her father cared about her for once in her life. And the fanbase saw this and said ""she is a whiny, spoiled brat who deserved to die, and also would deserve to be a victim of sexual abuse."" 

She is 7-10 years old. 

I say apparently because FNaF is really vague. All of this should be taken with a small grain of salt, because Elizabeth/Circus Baby is a purposefully-cryptic character. But from my (very intense) deductions, this is her story. 

Elizabeth was likely neglected and ignored by her father, who prioritized his animatronics over her well-being. (souce FNaF SL pre-night voicelines.) 

Her father, William Afton, cared about her in theory, but not in practice, and while he ignored her to a harmful degree, he also modeled an animatronic after her: Circus Baby. However, while the general fanbase treats this as a sign that he sees her as the favorite, it's actually the opposite. He built an animatronic designed to *harvest other people's souls* in his daughter's image, as a replacement for her. 

Over and over, she asks for his attention, wondering if she can spend any time with him or see what he's been making. He never replies, and she is only treated with silence. He knows this animatronic has the potential to kill her, but what does he do to keep it from hurting her? Not let her see it. That's it. Really some 10/10 parenting (read: neglect.) 

Usually, Elizabeth is naturally curious of Circus Baby, sneaks in to see her, and is murdered by the machine. Her father's only reaction is to hide Baby, so nobody has to know what happened. However, due to the vague nature of FNaF lore, it is also possible that Elizabeth knew Baby was capable of harming her, and purposefully sought her out in an attempt to end her own life. (NOTE: like most things, this is not 100% confirmed. If you choose not to believe this is canon, feel free to skip over to the next piece of propaganda.) 

The Lizzie/Baby combination created by her demise is so desperate for any attention or love that the tries to escape the facility where she's being held in the only way she knows how to do: following in her father's footsteps and taking a life. However, it's not until the last minute that she realizes she's murdered her brother. She manages to escape, via crawling into his body (long story) but has to separate herself from his body and literally *crawl into the sewers* as a mass of broken robot parts and wires. Still, she carries on, and in one last attempt to win her father's love, she reassembles herself out of literal garbage and old animatronic-related junk. She tries, one final time, to reach her father, but it's too late. By now, he's been dead for years, transformed into Scraptrap, which, if you didn't know, is an ugly, moldy fursuit shell, barely reminiscent of what it used to be. She sticks around for one last week, as an antagonist alongside the rotten remains of her surviving(?) family, all because she wanted to be loved. All because she wanted the basic respect she deserved. All because she was a sad little girl who wanted her father to care if she lived or died. 

And what reward does the get for this?

She's taunted by Henry, her father's business partner, trapped in a burning building, melted to death in a fire, and sent to the FNaF equivalent of Hell. 

She's not supposed to be a good guy, and she's definitely not a hero, but Elizabeth might've been seven years old when she died. And if you look at a lonely little girl who just wants to be treated like a person, who is forced to become a monster if she wants to survive, and you say ""she deserves to be abused,"" y'all just hate kids. "

She is literally a baby. So what if she was forced via circumstance to kill that guy. Maybe if her dad didn't abandon her she would've turned out better. The fandom acts like she's the antichrist but there are other characters who get off scott free for doing waaaaay worse.

Outside of Fredbear's Family Diner, there are a set of handprints in the sidewalk. The Afton and Emily children had lined up, biggest to smallest, and pressed their palms into cold, wet concrete. They were excited to leave their mark on this place.

Maybe they'd all come back one day to see how much they had grown; how tiny the handprints in the sidewalk seemed to them now. They couldn't wait to find out who they would become.

Every child who'd left their handprint in the sidewalk was gone, now. None of them had made it to twenty years old.
