(via Special Counsel Jack Smith's New Filing Reveals the Perils of Trump's Personalization of Power)
A new filing by Special Counsel Jack Smith, released by Judge Tanya Chutkan, provides illuminating detail about the tenacity shown by former president Donald Trump and his Republican co-conspirators in their attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. It is a stark reminder of the perils of Trump’s personalization of power.
”At its core, the defendant’s scheme was a private one,” the prosecutors’ document reads. “He extensively used private actors and his campaign infrastructure to attempt to overturn the election results and operated in a private capacity as a candidate for office.”
On that basis, the filing argues that Trump is not entitled to the immunity from prosecution granted him by Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and other far-right ideologue-justices of the Supreme Court; that ruling would grant immunity for "official acts" executed as president.

"You all sound like Trump supporters four years ago!"
Four years ago, Trump supporters rallied outside government buildings to yell at the workers inside to stop counting ballots because Trump was currently winning in that state.
Meanwhile in a state where he was losing, they yelled to keep counting. The workers never stopped counting, the news just predicted that state would go blue and they took that to mean the electoral college had been decided.
Demanding an investigation, pointing out suspicious happenings, and wanting to make sure every ballot was actually counted does not match that lunacy. I don't have the energy to match that lunacy.

So 51 former intelligence officials knowingly and flagrantly lied during the 2020 Presidential campaign to cover up for Lying Joe Biden and his crackhead son—and we now need to sue to find out who ordered it? And there are somehow still those who think Biden and his minions are honest and transparent? What are these delusional people smoking?

Just so nobody can say this is out of context, here's a vid of the entire interview.
The Obama administration successfully contained the Ebola outbreak in the United States. The death toll for Ebola in the US was under a dozen. So before leaving office, the Obama National Security Council created a 69-page handbook on how to deal with a pandemic. Trump and his flunkies ignored it with disastrous results.
Trump team failed to follow NSC’s pandemic playbook
The US death toll from COVID-19 is in seven digits. Other industrialized countries with advanced technological infrastructure such as Canada, Taiwan, Germany, and New Zealand had lower fatality rates per capita.
Trump largely ignored the virus until well into March when it had a chance to spread across the US.
The missing six weeks: how Trump failed the biggest test of his life The president was aware of the danger from the coronavirus – but a lack of leadership has created an emergency of epic proportions
The Trump administration, at best, was in denial; at worst, it sabotaged the pandemic response.

Trump White House made 'deliberate efforts' to undermine Covid response, report says
Trump zombies who claim the economy was marvelous under Trump conveniently forget about everything that happened after February of 2020. Trump's early bungling of the pandemic plunged the economy into recession. The COVID supply chain problems and the economic stimulus required to prevent a depression led to the spurt in inflation which is finally receding.
People who are nostalgic about taking hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, drinking bleach, and sticking UV lights up their butts must be excited about the opportunity to vote for Trump again.

Imagine if in 2020 Dems didn’t conspire to blunt the Sanders campaign. The electoral inevitability of this can be traced back to Super Tuesday (I am looking at you, Warren). Biden was in 4th. Nobody wanted him. And here we are, nobody wanted him and Harris had to pick up Biden’s pieces because everyone forgot how much of an existential threat Trump represented at the time.

I cannot properly put into words the emotional roller coaster that was the 2020 Canon Destiel-Super Hell-Putin Resignation-Blue Nevada-Sherlock Season 4-Election Day Week, but I am already having the weirdest flashbacks to whatever those feelings were 😆

Possible electoral map for the 2020 presidential election in Red, White, and Royal Blue, in which Democratic President Ellen Claremont secures a second term by defeating Senator Jeffrey Richards (R-UT). This is for the book; I broke down the movie's electoral map here.
Naturally, we aren't told how every single state voted, but here are the facts:
Claremont wins Illinois, Virginia, Colorado, Michigan, Pennsylvania, California, and Texas.
Richards wins Iowa, Utah, Montana, Florida, and Nevada.
When CNN calls Texas for Claremont, she reaches 301 electoral votes, with seemingly only Alaska still uncalled. Since only one Democratic president has ever won there, I gave it to Richards.
In both versions of the story, Claremont's home state of Texas is decisive, voting Democratic for the first time since 1976. Implausible? Sure, but author Casey McQuiston grew in up Louisiana and has talked about how "[i]t's so exhausting to see mainstream liberal media write red states off as a lost cause," so I get it. If you had to pick a Deep South state to flip in 2019, the year the book was published, Texas wasn't a bad bet. And of course a Deep South state did flip in the real 2020 election - Georgia.

Forcing us to wear the face diapers never had a thing to do with science. It was always about spreading fear, exerting control, and justifying election fraud. We were played for suckers by the Deep State Marxists, and we’re now suffering the consequences.

Here we have the origin of a longstanding rumor: the rumor that more votes were cast in the 2020 Presidential election than there were registered voters.
But it's based on a mistake. He calculated the number of voters by multiplying the number of registered voters by the voter turnout figures. But voter turnout is not calculated from registered voters and votes cast. It is calculated from Voter Eligible Population (VEP) and votes cast. He should have started with the Voter Eligible Population (VEP) of 239,924,038 and multiplied that by voter turnout for the Presidential election (which was actually 66.0%) to estimate the number of votes cast (158,349,865). That's very close to the official count of votes cast (158,429,631 - see page 11). The remaining difference is because of rounding errors (ie, using 66.0% instead of 66.0332463%).
He also made up that number for voter registrations. The best estimate we have comes from the US Census Bureau (see page 3), and they estimated 168.3 million registered voters.
Altogether, this rumor is based on imagination, not reality.
