This is my happy place. Thank you for posting. Glad I thought to search for Fabuland.
Thinking about Lego Fabuland from 1979-1989.

This year's entry into the Edward Gorey Envelope contest! (sponsored by the Edward Gorey House Museum!) 🖤 The theme was "The Universal Solvent Q.R.V." - which, if you're familiar, is a tiny tiny book of poems and illustrations. I wanted to do my big pen-and-ink Gorey style, but I also wanted to honour the spirit of the thing, so one character is holding a Q.R.V. pamphlet, filled with 11 more Q.R.V. poems and matching illustrations! (check out the gif!) Also, just in case that wasn't enough, I made a miniature of the whole thing (miniature (blurred) packing/entrance slip included inside), and, although I forgot to take a proper picture of it, there's a final 13th poem hidden behind the front illustration! 👁👁

And this year I gave myself slightly more time... but I still somehow ended up drawing it in three days...

Except I'm not Edward Gorey. Other than that, pretty accurate.

Hehe oowwwwhghgh I loved a lot of @elephant-in-the-pride-parade's little NUGGIES in her fic HERE. If I had a focus on just one I'd blurb it hehe.
But likeeeee I love Kathryn's nervousness and trepidation toward returning to captaining after her whole "regression" and the idea that she's lost a sense of control over herself. And I doodled her fidgeting with her pip aaaaaand Chakotay with the three babies and Kathryn being a lil anxious about that. :3

“Yes, yes,” said the Beast, “my heart is good, but still I am a monster.”
“Among mankind,” says Beauty, “there are many that deserve that name more than you, and I prefer you, just as you are, to those, who, under a human form, hide a treacherous, corrupt, and ungrateful heart.”

Norfolk Reads
The Elephants of Norwich by Edward Marston.
A pair of golden elephant statues, intended as a marriage gift, are stolen in eleventh century Norfolk. A second pair of giant fauna, officials visiting the area to settle Domesday disputes, help find the thief.
This was an entertaining romp, fresh to the last page. There are lots of similar by this prolific author (and I hope the rest have been properly checked, because I have never read a book with so many typesetting errors) so it's worth a go to see if it pulls you in - you'll be set for reading material during the long wait for Strike 8, 9, 10 ...
Next ... The Nine Tailors by Dorothy L Sayers.
