yall are about to piss me off by not having any PASSING basic knowledge of the way the u.s. military manipulates its recruits into joining by typing up one of your uninformed, unresearched, unempathetic, individualistic, unbelievably annoying posts about how 100% of the people in the military ended up there because they just Love America So Damn Much! they're extremely mature and informed at time of recruitment, they can totally leave anytime they want, they totally had tons of other avenues in life they could've taken, there was no rush at all to get income as fast as possible, and everyone in the military also totally is part of the combat divisions and personally enjoys being IN the military very much, big believers of violence. everyone in the military is shooting guns all day, that's how that works. they LOVE BLOODSHED. also I love the "amewicans haha" twang to this type of shit because you're actually TOTALLY stealing our Thing, which is turning systemic issues into Individual Issues. Instead of talking about the powers that be, it's so Personal Choice up in here. It's, "well you shouldn't have done it then. I totally wouldn't because I know better." you don't wanna talk about the military industrial complex as a whole, and you don't want to talk about recruiters, you just want to pin the blame on Specific Individual People one-by-one, as if they're responsible for the system that they're being ground up in. someone was in the military? bad person, no matter what. it's easier to believe that, I guess, than to acknowledge that Normal People (with high school educations) are manipulated and incentivized into joining a system that is Bad. at like age 18. but yeah no that 18 year old should have just been smarter lol haha anyway here are some screenshots for no particular reason
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
side note this reply of someone going "umm just get loans and go into a high paying field it's easy XD" as a direct response to someone trying to explain how most americans joining the military are being funneled in that direction out of a need for money.
Tumblr media
and another person who Decided that americans join the military just CLENCHING their teeth thinking of other people, and not thinking completely selfishly about their own selves and their own income/housing/healthcare.
Tumblr media
#I had a longer post w more bullshit in it but ukw nobody's even gonna read THIS one. so.#dumb ass cunts seriously LMAO just the individualism of it all....#we're all just selectively forgetting that most people join the military straight out of high school / after failing to kickstart#their lives so they don't know shit yet and they are categorically not educated and don't have money#you NEED money and have been groomed by recruiters ALREADY into believing this is#The Best and Only to make a survivable amount of money without a college education-- bc they can't afford college btw#and they don't want to take on student debt either bc everyone already knows what a big fuckeroo that is#recruiters WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET YOU TO JOIN. they will KEEP CALLING YOU. they'll answer your questions#to make it sound like this is going to be a GREAT life decision. you can get all KINDS of jobs (true)#they love to say the thing about how only about 15% of the military will actually see combat in any way#they love to list all the jobs where you will literally just be working at an office or a pharmacy or in tech etc etc etc#the recruiters are offering housing healthcare steady pay and BONUSES if you sign on for longer.#so you let your guard down because you were so scared of the actual fighting. BECAUSE YOU'RE 18 IN THIS SCENARIO BTW.#you cunts will not meet anyone who hates the military as much as people who are NOW DONE working in the military#you don't know enough when they get you and then either you stay placated by the benefits or you scramble away as fast as possible#the number one military haters are people who know what goes on bc they already did it#source: I LIVE NEXT TO A MILITARY BASE LMAO PEOPLE HATE IT HERE!! they are NORMAL PEOPLE#I need you to get it into your head that the people committing atrocities in war were NORMAL when they joined#and that for every person in the military who's actively shedding blood there's 20 who do PAPERWORK#and they both are being put in the same category by you!! and they are BOTH being controlled by the same system!!#sergle.txt#I hate yall I really do.

btw as a cult survivor i've& been meaning to say this for a hot minute but: if you have friends even if it's just one and/or are in a group whether it's political or religious or literally just a seemingly mundane group and/or see an ideology that's completely black and white, completely good vs. evil, with no nuances allowed, us vs. them mentality (insiders vs outsiders), you're not allowed to question Anything, you're not allowed to ask any questions that might challenge the narrative, if they tell you there's only one "right way to live", if your group of "friends" are stalking you & telling you who & who not to associate with, if they only encourage "pure", "good" and/or "proper" thoughts with no room for forgiveness or else the friendship is over or you're shunned from the group (especially if there's a "main" friend or a leader in the group), if you give quite a bit of time energy & money to the group, your life is highly regulated by the group, if former members are ostracized or seen as "traitors", if they cut you off from other friends & family, if someone makes you constantly feel like problems are always your fault, if the group lovebombs you & make you feel like the most special person or you're doing something "for the greater good" & gas you up way too quickly in the sense of being too good to be true, if a group is dehumanizing another group they disagree with or don't like, instill dependency on them & obedience, discourage you to find your own answers or if someone implies that they'll report anything you say or do that doesn't line up with their ideology, & ESPECIALLY if they ever g-d forbid threaten to doxx, harass or hurt you or other people, i'm not even joking, you need to Get The Fuck Out.

Guaranteed to win the Cannes Media Grand Prix. In 2006.
Another fun puzzle. But this one is much harder than the Tesco billboards two posts back. Find the Navy Special Ops soldiers hidden in ads throughout the magazine. Take a close look at the Miami ad. I'll give the answer at the bottom of the post.
But first, I know what you're thinking.
"Does anyone under 70 read magazines anymore?!"
Right. Seems a little late for this. Like by a decade or two.
And what big-time magazine cooperated with this genius media play? Skip Shot, the official quarterly magazine of US Water Polo. So not a magazine with a huge circulation.
Then again, if the Navy is after disciplined, buff people who don't mind spending a lot of time in the water, maybe it's a smart buy.
I imagine they were hoping to get a bunch of free publicity for the stunt their target would see. It's been a week, and so far the only coverage they've gotten has been from ad sites. Maybe they needed more NBA players and Fruity Pebbles.
And I hate to break it you, VML, but if Skip Shot isn't a member of the National Magazine Association, you don't qualify for a Kelly Award. If they're still giving out Kelly Awards.
The answer: Find the former captain of a water polo team in the scenic swamp, just above the second "u" in "artventurous."
Try to find the Special Ops soldiers in the other ads via The Ad Spot

Optimising Your Teacher Resume: Tips for Education Recruiters
Crafting a compelling resume is crucial for teacher recruitment, as it's often the first impression for education recruiters like SchoolHouse. Tailor your resume by weaving education-related keywords into your summary, highlighting skills like behaviour management and curriculum development. Format matters too; for senior roles, opt for a chronological layout showcasing experience, while for beginners, a functional format emphasising qualifications works best. Lastly, meticulous proofreading is key to ensure a polished presentation and make a lasting impact.

>|<  The Art of Recruitment  >|<
Let’s discuss “The Art of Recruitment.” This is a topic that is rarely reviewed, and I wanted to do a deep dive, so let’s talk about it!
Recruitment is an essential and crucial aspect of any firm, the process bridges the gap between employers and potential employees, playing a pivotal role in shaping the workforce; and the effectiveness of the recruitment process can significantly impact an organization's success.¹
An Industrial & Organizational Psychologist or (I/O) Practitioner can play a crucial role in recruitment, I/O Practitioners utilize psychological principles and employ research methodologies to enhance productivity, well-being, and the workplace equilibrium between work and personal life.⁶ As I’m evolving into an experienced I/O Psychologist, I’ll be delving deep into the many characteristics of the most effective recruitment process, and how organizations can attract top talent from diverse backgrounds, also technology's role in the recruitment process.
Effective Recruitment Process:
An effective recruitment process is a strategic approach that organization need to use in order to attract, select, and hire the most suitable candidates for open positions; this process is precise, transparent, and inclusive.¹ This process should also be designed to attract a diverse pool of candidates, signaling an organization's commitment to inclusivity.⁴ It must begin with a thorough job analysis, which provides a clear understanding of the job requirements and the ideal candidate profile; now this process typically involves several key stages.¹
Key Stages:¹
Job Analysis: This is the initial step where the requirements of the job and the skills needed to perform it are identified. This type of information is used to create a detailed job description.
Sourcing Candidates: This stage involves advertising the job vacancy to attract potential candidates. This can also be done through various channels, such as job portals, social media, recruitment agencies, etc.
Screening and Selection: At this stage, resumes are reviewed, interviews are conducted, and candidates' skills and suitability for the job are assessed. This process will help to shortlist the most qualified candidates for the job.
Job Offer and Onboarding: Now at this stage, a job offer is made once a candidate is selected. And once the candidate agrees to the offer, the onboarding process commences.
Attracting Diverse Top Talent:
Organizations that are dedicated to diversity and inclusion tend to attract highly skilled individuals from various backgrounds which usually increases the pool of potential candidates.⁴ When an company includes specific cues in recruiting materials that highlights DEI and are openly communicating about their efforts towards maintaining commitment in equity and inclusion, these actions can positively influence candidate based on perceived compatibility with a suitable professional working environment.⁴ Also companies leveraging employer brand personality via social media as opposed to the usual corporate website or career webpage, this is more likely to appeal directly to many qualified talents, not only internally but also externally, allowing engagement of all potential applicants as diverse demographics are represented.² Attracting top talent from diverse backgrounds is more than just filling quotas or being politically correct, overall, attracting top talent will foster varied organizational cultures alongside welcoming work environments which provide the necessary tools for creativity, increase decision-making, and improve company values.³
Technology in recruitment:
We all know that technology plays a necessary role in the ever-evolving modern recruitment process. It can definitely streamline the recruitment process, making it more efficient and effective. Moreover, technology can help organizations facilitate and build a diverse and inclusive workplace culture by supporting unbiased screening and selection processes.³
Conclusion:
To sum things up, it’s imperative that the recruitment process is run efficiently; this creates a strong positive view that will attract highly skilled individuals while building a diverse workforce. Leveraging technology and strategic recruitment practices can ensure organizations remain appealing to potential employees alongside fostering a culture of inclusivity and fairness during recruitment processes.⁵ As a rising I/O Psychologist, it is my role and duty to make sure that corporation/organizations are maintaining fair an equitable hiring practices, and I am looking forward to getting started, however, “My Journey Continues”….. “Tune in next week as we go deeper down the rabbit hole of “Recruitment” RE: Using Technology.”

The thing about the MCU's Peter Parker is that it's literally the story of an economically disadvantaged teenager raised by a single mother(figure) who's recruited by a billionaire war criminal to join the military as a child soldier in an attempt to secure a better future for himself, which ultimately results in him being left traumatized and penniless by the state once his usefulness has run it's course, except in this case you're meant to both side with the billionaire war criminal that recruited him and see this series of events as necessary and honorable. Things that make you go hmmm

I would say for many teachers, the motivation for going on strike is to do with the serious problems in the education system. Staff shortages are pretty near the top of the list, and not likely to get better any time soon.
I’d love to hear from:
a) People in schools in the UK (staff and students)- what are things like in your school?
b) Teachers outside the UK- how does your country successfully recruit new teachers? How long do teachers stay in the profession? Do you have a shortage too?
