Conficcare 🤝 Cecio
wanting to go into professions that are often unsympathetic to their community so someone who actually cares about them is in that profession, but by forces outside their control they end up causing harm to the people they went down that path to save and perpetuating the status quo that they once fought against...
#gold & silver#oc: conficcare#oc: cecio#i am chewing on them#shaking them in my teeth#they wanted to help!!!!#but they find out the hard ways why more people who care arent in those professions...#the way both of them are promised scholarships and that is what is used to trap them...#the powers will only give you the money and access if it benefits them...#you think you can bit the hand that feeds but its a well oiled machine in taking in bright eyed kids who want to make a difference#and breaking them down till they are just another brick in the wall#just another rat in the rat race...#[yes its about student debt and apprenticeships and how the military uses education to recruit]

#tag talk#no you know what I've figured it out. the lack of respect for certain people. people who decide to become normal#people who do clearly don't fit into the traditional conservative culture but still do their best to run the rat race.#who still choose to engage in culture that actively damages them.#like.. bro if you fucking hate your parents and they abuse you but you deliberately choose to keep in contact with them? that's on you buddy#if mainstream culture erases and ridicules you but you still choose to try and conform to it? I'm washing my hands of you and leaving.#I get that we can't always make the perfect choice. I don't get to wear tank tops at work. I swear less at work. some conformity necessary#but when it's your free choice to live the life that will make you feel free and happy and you refuse to? I'm losing all respect instantly.#and I get it I get it I get it. people are scared. you open the cage and the dog stays in because they don't know anything outside of it.#but poke your head out the window and smell the fucking rain. there's life outside of these fucking fences.#who cares if you scrape your knees climbing over the wall. YOU'RE FREE NOW.#I don't know that I'm expressing this very clearly at all. but I just. ughhhhh. People shoving themselves into holes where they don't fit#carving pieces off yourself so your square peg fits in the round hole#raugghhhhh I hate it I hate it#my life goal is to show people there's another way to live. like when a kid sees you looking transgender and you see the gears turning#like when I taught my cousin to be louder over the summer. yelling and screaming up in the mountains and caves#until he didn't speak in a compulsive whisper anymore.#free yourself from this fucking mind prison you've grown up inside.#and I know I'm not perfect. I'm still trapped in circles inside my mind. but at least I'm fucking trying. at least I'm doing my best to run#fucking up and trying new things and fucking up again and trying trying trying trying trying trying trying#don't put your head down and quit. you bite their fucking hand as hard as you can

We are currently living in an era where tech moguls are realizing there is no more long-term perpetually growing profit in information technology because all the niche markets with any real demand have been filled. And this horrifies them so they're going to keep rinsing and recycling old tired schemes as many times as they can to wring the last dregs of money out of the system until the whole thing collapses in on itself. I just don't have the energy anymore to join the pack of rats racing back and forth from one sinking ship to another.

Mizu, femininity, and fallen sparrows
In my last post about Mizu and Akemi, I feel like I came across as overly critical of Mizu given that Mizu is a woman who - in her own words - has to live as a man in order to go down the path of revenge.
If she is ever discovered to be female by the wrong person, she will not only be unable to complete her quest, but there's a good chance that she'll be arrested or killed.
So it makes complete sense for Mizu to distance herself as much as possible from any behavior that she feels like would make someone question her sex.
I felt so indignant toward Mizu on my first couple watchthroughs for this moment. Why couldn't Mizu bribe the woman and her child's way into the city too? If Mizu is presenting as a man, couldn't she claim to be the woman's escort?
However, this moment makes things pretty clear. Mizu knows all too well the plight of women in her society. She knows it so well that she cannot risk ever finding herself back in their position again. She helps in what little way she can - without drawing attention to herself.
Mizu is not a hero and she is not one to make of herself a martyr - she will not set herself on fire to keep others warm. There's room to argue that Mizu shouldn't prioritize her quest over people's lives, but given the collateral damage Mizu can live with in almost every episode of season 1, Mizu is simply not operating under that kind of morality at this point. ("You don't know what I've done to reach you," Mizu tells Fowler.)
And while I still feel like Mizu has an obvious and established blind spot when it comes to Akemi because of their differences in station, such that Mizu's judgment of Akemi and actions in episode 5 are the result of prejudice rather than the result of Mizu's caution, I also want to establish that Mizu is just as caged as Akemi is, despite her technically having more freedom while living as a man.
Mizu can hide her mixed race identity some of the time, and she can hide her sex almost all of the time, but being able to operate outside of her society's strict rules for women does not mean she cannot see their plight.
It does not mean she doesn't hurt for them.
Back to Mizu and collateral damage, remember that sparrow?
While Mizu is breaking into Boss Hamata's manse, she gets startled by a bird and kills it on reflex. She then cradles it in her hands - much more tenderly than we've seen Mizu treat almost anything up to this point in the season:
She then puts it in its nest, with its unhatched eggs. Almost like she's trying to make the death look natural. Or like an accident.
You see where I'm going with this.
When Mizu kills Kinuyo, Mizu lingers in the moment, holding the body tenderly:
And btw a lot of stuff about this show hit me hard, but this remains the biggest gut punch of them all for me, Mizu holding that poor girl's body close, GOD
When Mizu arranges the "scene of the crime," Kinuyo's body is delicate, birdlike. And Mizu is so shaken afterward that she gets sloppy. She's horrified at this kill to the point that she can't bring herself to take another innocent life - the boy who rats her out.
MIZU'S ONE MOMENT OF SOFTNESS AND MERCY, COMING ON THE HEELS OF HER NEEDING TO KILL A GIRL TO SPARE HER THE WORST FATE THAT THIS RIGID SOCIETY HAS TO OFFER WOMEN, AND TO SPARE A BROTHEL FULL OF INNOCENT WOMEN WHO ARE THE CASTOFFS OF SOCIETY, NEARLY RESULTS IN ALL OF THEIR DEATHS
No wonder Mizu is as stoic and cold as she is.
And no wonder Mizu has no patience for Akemi whatsoever right before the terrible reveal and the fight breaks out:
Speaking of Akemi - guess who else is compared to a bird!
The plumage is more colorful, a bit flashier. But a bird is a bird.
And, uh
Yeah.
I like to think that Mizu killing the sparrow is not only foreshadowing for what she must do to Kinuyo, but is also a representation of the choice she makes on Akemi's behalf. She decides to cage the bird because she believes the bird is "better off." Better off caged than... dead.
But because Mizu doesn't know Akemi or her situation, she of course doesn't realize that the bird is fated to die if it is caged and sent back home.
Mizu is clearly not happy, or pleased, or satisfied by allowing Akemi to be dragged back to her father:

But softness and mercy haven't gotten Mizu anywhere good, recently.
There is so much tragedy layered into Mizu's character, and it includes the things she has to witness and the choices she makes - or believes she has to make - involving women, when she herself can skirt around a lot of what her society throws at women. Although, I do believe that it comes at the cost of a part of Mizu's soul.
After all, I'm gonna be haunted for the rest of this show by Mizu's very first prayer in episode 1:
"LET" her die. Because as Ringo points out, she doesn't "know how" to die.
Kind of like another bird in this show:
#blue eye samurai#mizu#akemi#kinuyo#bes#women are birds okay they are BIRDS#the let me die line is so SCARY AND SAD like a part of Mizu wants death but she cant? she doesnt know how?? excuse you show???#when all these other delicate birds are dying all around her#akemis character gets more and more gutwrenching upon subsequent rewatches because whenever she says her life is in danger#NO ONE BELIEVES HER - certainly not other women#because shes rich and pampered and that means shes safe and is worrying about nothing right? right?????#and it turns out that all of akemis instincts were right and she was in danger the ENTIRE TIME#also I need to make a post just for kinuyo because I am sad

jeonghan + anonymous sex
— where you discover that behind the scary mask, who's eating you out, is your professor, mr. yoon.
WARNINGS: +18, smut, oral, halloween party setting, penetrative sex, oral [f. rec], dirty talk, edging, taboo, fingering.
KINKTOBER MASTERLIST
halloween at uni was always a wild time—like, the one night when everyone just let loose and acted like idiots without any shame. it was a free pass to look either insanely sexy or terrifying as hell, and you’d seen both ends of that spectrum in past years. mostly, you loved it ‘cause it was kinda like a game of guess-who after the party, everyone spending the week after trying to figure out who was who under those masks. and that’s why the costumes just got more and more wild. anonymity? sign you up.
you and jewie, your ride-or-die dormmate, had done the whole horror bit every year, rocking the most messed up, bloodied-up outfits you could think of. but this year you both decided to go full-on sexy for once. jewie was rocking this short-ass witch outfit, all black and lace and pointy hat, and you—well, you were killing it (pun intended) in your killer bunny getup. thigh-high lacy white socks that clung to your skin, corset cinching you in, and this creepy-ass bunny mask that made you look both cute and dangerous. not to mention, the whole mask thing meant anything could go down and nobody would know.
“yo, you really gonna leave a note in his locker?” jewie whispered, eyes sparkling as the two of you snuck into the staff wing, the sound of your heels echoing off the empty halls.
“hell yeah, i’ve been crushing on prof yoon since he walked into his first lecture looking like a whole-ass snack,” you hissed back, your heart racing.
she let out a cackle, almost too loud. “he’s gonna die when he sees it. also, maybe don't bend over like that unless you want your ass out for the world to see.”
you shot her a look over your shoulder, half squinting through your mask. “fuck you, i’m not gonna walk like i’ve got a stick up my ass.”
“babe, that’s your job,” she teased, slapping your ass as you fumbled with the lock on the door. she was always like that—pushy, teasing, but down for whatever dumb thing you suggested, no questions asked.
finally, you managed to crack open the door to prof yoon’s locker, and the nervous excitement flared up all over again. “i’m doin’ it,” you muttered, mostly to yourself, as you slid the note into his stuff. just a stupid little flirty note. something anonymous and mysterious. if he recognized your handwriting? well, oops. that’s a future problem.
jewie watched, leaning against the doorframe, eyes flicking between you and the locker. “if he likes it, we might need to sneak you back in here to leave more. like a killer bunny pen pal situation.”
you laughed under your breath, shaking your head. “he’s not that dumb, but if he was, i’d consider it.”
you straightened up, adjusting your mask before looking back at jewie. the whole night felt like some weird fever dream—maybe it was the booze from earlier or just the high of running around campus dressed like this, but you felt unstoppable.
“okay, let’s get outta here before we get caught,” jewie said, pushing herself off the wall. “i swear if we see anyone, i’m pretending i don’t know you.”
“bitch, please, you’d totally rat me out,” you shot back, nudging her as the two of you slipped out of the staff room, adrenaline still pumping.
you took a long sip from your pouch, the cheap booze hitting just right as you swayed along with jewie to the beat. then, mid-spin, you spotted something—or rather, someone—that made you freeze in place, your lips still wrapped around the straw.
“i can’t fucking believe it,” you muttered, pulling the straw out and sulking like a kid who just had their candy stolen.
jewie gave you a sideways glance, eyebrows raised. “what’s got your panties in a twist now?”
you nodded toward the door, where another killer bunny had just strutted in, looking way too damn good for your liking. “look at that,” you said, gesturing with your drink. “bunny? okay, fine. but killer too? are you shitting me? what’re the odds?”
you huffed, feeling your vibe slightly killed by the sight of the other guy wearing basically the same damn thing as you—except he had this slutty, fitted black suit, and his mask was just as creepy as yours, that luscious black hair peeking out from behind it.
“wow,” jewie scoffed, following your gaze. “you’re really pressed about another killer bunny? seriously? it's halloween, dude, chill. everyone’s doubling up.”
“easy for you to say,” you muttered, still eyeing the guy. “you're not the only slutty witch in the room.”
she rolled her eyes, snorting. “uh, excuse me? i've seen, like, five other witches tonight, and one of them even had a broom—a broom, y/n. i just accepted it. it’s halloween.”
it was halloween, and sure, half the campus was probably dressed as witches, zombies, or sexy cops. but still, the nerve of this guy, strutting in like he invented the killer bunny look.
“and, you know what? my panties are in a twist, actually,” you shot back, glaring at jewie, who just gave you an unimpressed look. “like, literal twist. feels like they’re strangling me.”
she burst out laughing, clutching her stomach. “oh my god, you’re such a mess. there’s a whole locker room situation going on if you wanna fix it. no one’s gonna be in there anyway..”
“the locker room?” you hummed, considering it for a second. “yeah, might as well. better than walking around with my ass in knots.”
you slipped away from the party, the beat of the music fading as you made your way down the empty hallway, heels clacking against the floor. it was eerily quiet outside the main campus area, the darkness swallowing up the noise from the party like you were walking into another world. halfway there, though, you swore you heard something. footsteps, maybe? you glanced back over your shoulder, but the hallway was just as empty as before. shrugging it off, you kept walking.
then again—footsteps.
you whipped around, heart starting to race a bit. nothing. nobody. great, you thought. either you’re paranoid or some dude in a clown costume’s gonna jump out at you any second.
you sped up, practically rushing into the locker room, slamming the door behind you like that would keep the creepy vibes out. with a sigh, you lifted your skirt and fixed the tangled mess of fabric underneath. “goddamn,” you muttered, whistling in relief as the tension eased up. “finally.”
you made your way to the mirror, fluffing up your hair, adjusting your bunny ears, trying to look like you hadn’t just freaked yourself out. but then you heard it again—footsteps. this time, not so distant. real close.
before you could even react, the door creaked open, and there he was. the other killer bunny. strolling in like he owned the place, chill as could be, like it wasn’t the feminine locker room he’d just waltzed into.
“you’ve gotta be kidding me,” you muttered under your breath, shooting him a glare through the mirror. “stole my idea and my spot?”
he snorted, leaning against the sink with his back turned to the mirror, eyes just fixed forward, hands shoved casually in his pockets. “stole your idea? babe, i’ve been rockin’ this for ages.”
“you saw it from me!” you shot back, turning around to face him, pointing at him accusingly. “i should sue for copyright or some shit.”
he let out a low chuckle, tilting his head slightly like he was amused by your little outburst. “you can have the bunny part. i’ll keep the killer part.”
“real original,” you scoffed, turning back to the mirror, fixing a stray curl in your hair. “and what’re you even doing in the locker room? you lost or just stupid?”
“neither,” he said simply, his voice way too smug for someone who looked like he just broke into the wrong locker room. “it was either this, or i piss in a bush somewhere. decided to be classy tonight.”
you rolled your eyes but couldn’t help the slight smirk pulling at your lips. “yeah, real classy, creeping around the women’s locker room.”
he leaned closer, still not turning to look in the mirror. “who says i’m creeping? maybe you just walked into my locker room.”
“oh, so now it’s your locker room too? boy, you’re bold.”
“what can i say? bunny privileges,” he said, shrugging like it was the most normal thing in the world.
you shook your head, turning to look at him fully now, sizing him up. he was tall, broad, the slutty suit clinging to him just right, his posture relaxed like he didn’t have a care in the world. and that hair, black and messy behind his mask—well, you’d give him one thing. he wore the costume well. too well.
“you know,” you said, leaning back against the sink next to him, crossing your arms. “if you’re tryna intimidate me, it’s not working. you’re just another bunny.”
he chuckled again, that low, almost lazy sound that somehow made your skin tingle. “maybe i’m not tryna intimidate you. maybe i’m just waiting for you to admit i look better.”
you scoffed, pushing off the sink and standing up straight, close enough now that you could smell the faint cologne clinging to him. it was… annoyingly nice. “please, i wouldn’t give you that satisfaction even if you paid me.”
“we’ll... see about that?” he murmured, finally turning to face you, his body looming over yours. his mask obscured most of his face, but his eyes locked onto yours, like he could see right through the sass.
and there it was. that thing on your lower stomach that snuck up on you out of nowhere. “you really think you can handle me, bunny?” you teased.
he didn’t flinch. his lips twitched into a grin under the mask.
“handle you?” he echoed, his voice dropping an octave. “baby, i’m just getting started.”
you raised an eyebrow, leaning in just a little closer, testing him, seeing how far you could push. “then show me what you got.”
his hand was on you in a second, pulling you toward him with a firm grip on your waist, his breath hot through the mask. and suddenly, the empty locker room didn’t feel so empty anymore. his other hand slid down, grazing your thigh before hiking your skirt up. “you sure you wanna play this game?” he cooed, lips brushing the shell of your ear.
you let out a breathy laugh, your hands fisting into the fabric of his suit. “you started it.”
“yeah?” his grip tightened, pulling you flush against him, your bodies fitting together too perfectly. “then let me finish it.”
he leaned in for the kiss, but both of you realized, almost at the same time, that the stupid mask was in the way. your lips collided with the hard plastic, and for a second, it was awkward as hell—until you both burst into laughter. “yeah, that’s not gonna work,” you muttered, shaking your head.
“guess we’ll just have to improvise,” he murmured back, and before you knew it, he had spun you around, pressing your hips firmly against the cold sink. the chill of the ceramic made you gasp, but it was nothing compared to the way his fingers slid under the elastic of your garter, pulling it away from your skin before letting it snap back on ur skin.
“fuck,” you hissed, as the sting amde your pussy drool. he was watching you through that damn mask, his fingers traced the hem of your skirt before he flipped it over your lower back, exposing the white lacy set you’d chosen to match the whole killer bunny thing.
“fuckin’ cute,” he growled as he took in the sight of your barely-there panties and thigh-highs. “you really wore this for halloween? shit’s a fuckin’ joke,”
the degradation in his tone made your cheeks burn, you bit down on your lip, trying to keep your composure, he noticed everything.
“what’s the matter?” he asked, mock concern as his hands skimmed over your thighs, squeezing just hard enough to make you gasp again. “you like being called cute while i fuck you up?”
you didn’t even have time to respond before his fingers hooked into the waistband of your panties, dragging them down painfully slow, the lace barely clinging to your hips before he let them drop to your ankles. you kicked them off instinctively, your breath hitching when you saw him bend down slightly, he picked them up off the floor, turning the flimsy lace in his fingers for a second before shoving them deep into his pocket.
“gonna keep these,” he muttered, half to himself, half to you. standing up straight again. his hands, slid up your legs, spreading them just a bit more. the rough pads of his fingers brushed against the inside of your thighs, teasing you, waiting for you to beg, or break.
and god, you were close to breaking already.
one hand held your waist firmly in place, pressing you harder against the sink, while the other slipped between your legs, his fingers sliding against your wetness with an agonizing slowness.
“oh.. all soaked already?” he muttered, like he knew exactly how ruined you were just from his touch. “and we haven’t even started. you’ve been thinking about this? about me bending you over, fingers deep in this pretty little pussy?”
you couldn’t help the whimper that escaped you as his middle and ring fingers dipped inside, your pussy swallow him immediately, even when the skin burns a little with the stretch. his long fingers immediately finding that sweet, squishy spot, for a moment, resting the fingers there.
he kept the pads of his fingers facing down, rubbing slow, tight circles against that sensitive spot, making you clench around him. you've never been stimulated like this, it looked so different and knowing for a college boy. the sensation was enough to make your knees weak, but his grip on your hips kept you steady, held in place as he worked you open.
he leaned down, the mask still in place, but you could feel the heat of him behind you. “you hear that? hear how fucking wet you are? all for me, huh?”
you did, in fact, it echoed in the empty locker room, as you try to be quiet. but you moaned in response, your head falling forward, resting on your arms as you tried to catch your breath. every stroke of his fingers had your pussy tightening, thighs shaking, and you were half-sure you’d collapse if it weren’t for the him keeping you upright.
his other hand moving up your back just enough so he could press his lips against your bare shoulder. you felt him lift the mask just slightly, and then his mouth was on you, kissing, biting, his teeth grazing your skin in a manner that had you arching into him.
“fuck, you taste so good,” he muttered. “so sweet. but i bet you taste even better down here.”
you groaned in frustration when you realized he was still wearing that damn mask, completely blocking the possibility of him going down on you. he noticed the way you moaned extra loud, probably because you’d been imagining it—his mouth between your legs, tasting how worked up you were.
he cooed, amused by your reaction, shaking his head like you were some kind of innocent mess. “fuck baby, i’d love to, but this mask is getting in the way. you know that.” his voice was so casual, like it wasn’t a big deal at all, like it wasn’t torture for you. and god, that whimper that left your throat? pathetic. even you knew it. you rolled your hips on his fingers, desperate for something, anything to replace what you couldn’t have right now. the wet, slick sound of his fingers working into you echoed around the room, filling the space with a vulgar kind of music that had him biting his lip, watching you fall apart over nothing.
“oh, you really want it bad, huh?” he laughed, and you whined again, the sound so embarrassingly needy that it should’ve made you blush. but instead, it only made you more desperate. his teasing was too much.
“fuck,” you muttered, half-begging, and he pulled back a bit, thinking for a second before a playful smirk took over his lips.
“let’s play a game then,” he offered, your brows furrowed in confusion, but the second he leaned in, lips brushing your ear, you felt your whole body heat up in response. “we take the masks off. but,” he paused, his fingers still torturing you, making your hips twitch every time he pressed just right. “we keep our eyes closed. i’ll eat you out, i’ll do anything you want, but no peeking.”
you hummed at the idea, already thinking of how good it would feel to have him without the barrier of those stupid masks. but before you could even respond, he tilted his head, adding with a teasing lilt, “but first... i gotta fuck you. because you’re so fucking tight, so fucking pretty squirming around my fingers like this.” his voice softened into something almost sweet, like he was praising you, and the way he cooed when you shyly squirmed against his hand, embarrassed by his words, had your body tightening in response. “such a good girl for me, aren’t you?”
you were nodding before you even realized, the words barely out of your mouth before you agreed to it. the mask was yanked off, tossed to the side, and you felt him pull away slightly. you didn’t dare look back at him, though—you kept your promise, eyes shut tight, chest rising and falling rapidly.
you felt him shift behind you, the rustle of fabric as he undid his pants filling the locker room with a sharp, exciting edge. his fingers left you with a wet pop, and the sound made you shiver. god, you could still hear it—how soaked you were, how turned on he’d made you. your body reacted to the absence of his touch with a small gasp, but the moment you felt his warm breath near your ear again, your nerves melted away.
“don’t open your eyes,” he warned in that same serious tone, even though you could practically hear the smile on his face. you nodded, swallowing hard, trying to keep still. his fingers returned, now gripping your hips firmly, and you couldn’t help but arch into him, needing more.
“good girl,” he murmured, guiding you to bend further over the sink. your chest pressed against the cold surface, your eyes squeezed shut, but you could feel everything. you were painfully aware of how exposed you were to him, the skirt flipped up, your wetness on full display.
the blunt head of his cock nudged at your entrance, slick and heavy, and you braced yourself, but he didn’t push in. instead, he slid it up, dragging it along your folds, teasing your clit and the leaking hole. the sensation had your toes curling, and you couldn’t stop yourself from asking, “you just gonna rub it?”
he chuckled darkly, pressing the tip against your entrance again but not entering. “thought i’d take my time, make you beg a little more.”
you groaned, squirming under him, your hips moving on their own as you chased the penetration. you could feel him smiling behind you, still teasing, but his hand was firm on your hips, holding you steady as he slowly dragged his cock up and down, brushing against your clit every time. it was maddening, the way he was holding back, making you wait, making you ache for him.
“you want it that bad, hm?” he asked, and before you could even answer, he pushed in, sliding into you with a slick, deep thrust that knocked the breath out of your lungs as you watch pitch black. “fuck, there it is.”
you moaned, the sudden fullness overwhelming, your fingers gripping the edge of the sink as he held you in place, his cock buried deep inside. he didn’t move at first, just let you adjust to the stretch, but his hands were still moving—one sliding up your back, the other gripping your ass, squeezing hard as he groaned low in his throat.
“ah!–don' squeeze me like that,” he muttered, his voice strained as he began to move, his hips grinding into yours rolling the dick in and out of you. “taking me so well... pretty pussy devouring my cock.”
you whimpered at his praise, your body trembling with every slow stroke. he wasn’t holding back anymore, his pace picking up, his hand slipped down between your legs, his fingers finding your clit, rubbing light, quick circles that had you moaning loudly.
the thing was;
his eyes had been wide open the whole time.
he was practically glowing with the fact that you hadn’t recognized him at all. he knew it was you from the second you stepped into the party, making him choke on his own spit, all dressed up in that killer bunny costume, and it made him feel like he was holding onto the biggest secret ever. you had no idea who you were fucking, and that made everything ten times hotter.
as you leaned over the sink, he got a perfect view of your face blushing beneath your expertly done makeup, all those little details you’d spent hours perfecting. the way the light caught the shimmer on your cheeks, the dark eyeliner framing your eyes just right—it was beautiful. even though you planned on hiding your face with that mask for the entire night.
he pretended to keep his eyes closed, even though he could barely contain his excitement. “i hope you don't open your eyes hm? you wouldn't want to lose me eating you out, right?” he’d said with a smirk, watching as you nodded obediently. you were so good at this—everything about you, from the way you shifted on the sink to the way you were biting your lip in need, made him ache to see your true reaction when you finally figured it out.
he could feel your nervous energy as you followed his lead, trusting him completely. it was almost comical how easy it was to manipulate the situation, how horny you were, and he couldn’t help but chuckle quietly to himself.
“you’ve got no idea how fucking cute you moan,” he murmured, leaning closer, his breath ghosting over your ear as he continued to thrust into you. the way you squirmed made him even harder, and he could feel his own arousal rising at the thought of keeping this secret just a little longer.
“shut up,” you whined, clearly flustered by his words, and he couldn’t help but laugh softly. god, you were adorable. he kept it playful, teasing you even more as he leaned down to press his lips against your shoulder, kissing a line up your neck as he continued to roll his hips into you. “just focus on how good you feel.”
every thrust sent a quiver through you, and he could feel you responding to him, getting wetter with every move. you were lost in it, and he was completely taken by the way your body reacted to his touch. he loved how your sounds filled the space, how you couldn’t help but moan louder and louder as he picked up the pace, fucking you deeper.
“tell me how good it feels.”
“so good, you feel so good—your cock—s'big!” you breathed, and he reveled in the power he had over you. he could see the way your body squirmed beneath him, anguished for more, and it only pushed him to keep going.
“that’s right, keep saying it,” he encouraged, his fingers curling around your waist, pulling you back against him as he hit that sweet spot inside you. “i want to hear everything, since i cant see it.”
he could feel you tightening around him, your that sweet release pulsing, and just when you were about to hit that peak, he pulled out, leaving you gasping “what the fuck?!” you cried, your voice high-pitched with desperation, eyes still closed. he couldn’t help but chuckle at your frustration, knowing just how good you felt, but wanting to keep you on that brink a little longer.
“patience, bunny,” he teased, leaning in closer, his breath warm against your ear. “you’ll get what you want.”
with that, he pushed back into you, driving deep and hard, and the sound of your moan filled the locker room. “yes! please!” you begged, fingers digging into the sink as you rocked back against him.
but again, right when you were so close, he slipped out. “no, no, don’t do that!” you whined, the desperation in your voice making him grin. “i was so close!”
“i won’t let you cum on my cock,” he said, a teasing grin playing on his lips as he watched your expression crumble. your face fell against your arms in defeat, sulking like a petulant child. “why?” you whined, the sulk evident in your voice, and he couldn’t help but scoff at how adorable you looked, all flustered and desperate.
just then, his hand tangled in your hair, tugging enough to make you almost open your eyes. the sudden pressure made a strangled moan escape your throat, and he loved it.
he slowly turned you around, guiding you to sit on the cold sink. you cursed under your breath, your legs instinctively spreading wide as you positioned yourself for him.
“this is so unfair, i cant see you...” you muttered, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks as you thought about how you couldn’t see what he was doing. you could hear the sound of your breath quickening as he dropped to his knees in front of you, the idea of him between your legs making you almost cum on spot.
“you don’t need to see it, babe,” he said, all sultry. fuck you needed to know who he was, and with that, you could feel him get closer, his breath hot against your pussy, making you squirm.
“you’re such an ass for doing this to me,” you groaned, but deep down, you were practically begging for it, and you knew it. he laughed softly, the sound thundering in his chest as he spread your legs wider, giving himself a perfect view of your pussy, the folds puffy, and flushed, dripping beautifully.
a sudden creak from somewhere down the hallway snapped you out of the fog of pleasure, and, instinctively, you opened your eyes. it took a second to adjust, to blink away the haze clouding your vision, but then you looked down—straight at him.
and—
mr. yoon?
“shh,” he whispered, a finger pressed to his own lips, a hint of a smirk twitching as he maintained eye contact with you, even as his head dipped between your legs. you wanted to pull back, to process that your professor was there, settled on his knees in front of you in a locked room, but his mouth had already found your clit.
“oh my god,” you moan, in disbelief, in pure ecstasy. he starts sucking your clit with so hard that makes you dizzy, and your back arches instinctively, the sensations overwhelming. your mind races, but the sight of him—mr. yoon, your strict, no-nonsense professor—eating you out is enough to push you right back over the edge.
you bite your lip to stifle your cries, but it’s no use. the combination of the taboo and the sucking sends you spiraling into the orgasm, and you can feel yourself clenching around his tongue as you cum in his mouth, a whimper escaping your lips.
“holy—” you breathe, panting as he pulls away, licking his lips like he’s savoring the taste of you.
he raises up to kiss you, but you back away instinctively, the shock paralyzing you.
“wait, you didn’t like that it was… me?” he asks, worry flashing across his eyes.
your mind is racing. so he was the one fucking you? after the letter—oh my god. “i… i didn’t know it was you!” you manage to stammer.
he licks his cum-covered lips, that sly grin still in place. he steps back slightly, still unsure of what to say. “so… you liked it, then?”
“well, yeah, but—” you start, but the words fail you. how do you even explain this? how do you tell your professor that he just made you come like that, and it was one of the best experiences of your life?
you catch his gaze, and for the first time, there’s a flicker of worry in mr. yoon’s eyes. he's probably already imagining that expulsion letter or the scandal that’d blow up his career.
“relax,” you murmur, smirking as he watches you. “i’m not about to go blabbing to the dean or anything.” he quirks a skeptical brow, clearly not convinced yet, and you give him a playful shrug. “but only if… you get on your knees again and show me just how much you wanna keep me quiet.”
the corner of his mouth lifts. “oh, is that right?” he murmurs, and before you know it, he’s stepping forward, hands sliding around your waist as he leans down, lips ghosting over the shell of your ear.
“guess i’ll have to make sure you’re too busy to even think about talking,” he whispers.
[...]
monday rolls around, and it’s like the entire campus is still buzzing about the halloween party. people are dissecting every detail, trying to figure out who was behind which mask. you’re sitting at your desk, pretending to read the same damn paragraph for the fifth time, but let’s be real—there’s only one thing on your mind: mr. yoon’s dick.
jeonghan’s up at the front, leaning against his desk, teaching as if nothing happened, and you can barely keep a straight face. every time you glance up, you can’t help but picture the way he looked at you, the feel of his hands, his mouth… yeah, not the kind of thoughts you should be having in the middle of class.
the bell finally rings, snapping you out of it as everyone starts packing up. your friend pauses by the door, waiting, but just as you’re about to leave, mr. yoon clears his throat.
“y/n,” he says, there’s that hint of something under it, something only you would catch. “stay a moment, would you?”
you wave your friend off, muttering something about catching up later. she glances between the two of you and, of course, shoots you a knowing smile before shutting the door on her way out. it’s just you and jeonghan now, the room empty and quiet, his gaze pinned on you.
he raises an eyebrow, and his eyes flick towards the closed door. “should i be worried about that smile she gave you?” he asks, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
you blink, caught off guard. “no! no one knows about… us,” you insist, a bit too quickly.
he scoffs, giving you this look like he’s amused but skeptical. “oh, i know that,” he says smoothly, but then he taps his finger on his desk. “but she definitely knows… about this.”
with a dramatic flourish, he slides open a drawer and pulls out the letter. your stomach drops as he lays it out on his desk for you to see, the unmistakable swoop of your handwriting there in all its glory, complete with little heart and butterfly stickers surrounding a mortifyingly filthy sentence.
“wanna feel your cock hitting the deepest part of my pussy until i can’t even remember my name.”
you freeze, face heating up instantly. oh, god. did you really write that?
he chuckles softly, watching you squirm as you avoid his gaze, suddenly very interested in the stack of textbooks on his desk. you press your lips together, practically biting down to keep from making any sound, because your brain is malfunctioning.
“so,” he murmurs, “did you really mean every word?”

Lovely coincidences // L. Norris x Fem. Reader

A/N: There was no way I was gonna miss the opportunity and post something about today's events, which, by the way, made me jump out of bed with a gasp at 8am.
W.c: 1.2k
MASTERLIST
You sit cross-legged on the couch, your phone in one hand and Lando’s head resting in your lap. His curls tickle your fingers as you absentmindedly play with his hair, scrolling through Instagram. Your draft post stares back at you, nerves fluttering in your stomach. The picture is perfect—Lando’s hand protectively resting on your bump, your fingers intertwined, both of you glowing in the soft light of the sunset.
You've been trying to do this all week but always ended up backing out right before you hit the "post" button. Every time it fel as if you were about to expose the most private part of your private life to the public. However, at some point you came to the realization that it's better to do it yourself before a media outlet ratted your secret out first.
The caption reads:
"Plot twist of the year: Lando and Y/N +1 coming soon 🍼❤️."
“Do you think it’s too cheesy?” you ask, looking down at him.
“Cheesy?” Lando scoffs, twisting so he can meet your gaze. “Y/N, the fans love cheesy. And let’s be real—this is huge. They’re going to lose their minds.”
“They already think you’re the chaos driver,” you tease. “Now they’ll think we’re bringing another tornado into the world.”
“Exactly!” Lando sits up, grabbing his phone with a grin. “It’s perfect. Our little chaos baby.” He pauses, looking serious for a moment. “Are you ready, though? This makes it real, you know?”
His sincerity warms you, and you nod. “I’m ready.”
“Alright then,” he says, holding up his phone like he’s at the starting grid. “On three. One… two… three—post!”
The moment you hit post, your phone buzzes like a swarm of bees. Likes, comments, and DMs flood in at a dizzying pace. Lando’s laugh fills the room as he scrolls through the comments.
“Look at this,” he says, showing you Carlos’ reply: “Mini Lando incoming? Poor Y/N. The grid’s not ready for this!”
“Carlos has a point,” you quip, nudging him.
Before you can reply to anyone, Lando’s phone buzzes again. He freezes, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he reads the notification.
“No way,” he says, shaking his head in disbelief.
“What?”
“It’s Max.” He turns his phone toward you.
You squint at the screen. Sure enough, there it is—Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet’s baby announcement, posted mere minutes after yours. The picture shows Max and Kelly in a cozy living room, her bump visible under her flowy dress, and the caption:
"Baby Verstappen loading… can’t wait to meet you, little one ❤️."
Your jaw drops. “You’re kidding me.”
Lando’s already dialing Max. The phone rings twice before Max picks up, his calm voice a stark contrast to Lando’s giddy disbelief.
“What’s up, Norris?”
“What’s up?” Lando exclaims. “What’s up is that you just stole our baby thunder!”
There’s a beat of silence, then you hear Kelly laughing in the background. “Oh no,” she says through her giggles. “Did we steal their thunder?”
“Steal our thunder? You drove right through it!”, Lando replies, though his grin betrays his faux outrage.
“Not my fault you have bad timing,” Max says dryly.
Lando groans. “I cannot believe this. First you steal first place on teack, and now you’re trying to win the baby race?!”
“First place is first place,” Max says smugly.
The banter continues until you grab the phone from Lando, laughing. “Alright, thays enough. Max, congratulations to you and Kelly. But I think we all know who the real winner is.”
“Who?” Max asks.
“Me,” you reply, smirking. “Because I have to deal with Lando’s reaction to this for the next nine months.”
The delivery room is a whirlwind of emotions, but through it all, Lando is by your side, holding your hand, cracking jokes, and whispering words of encouragement. When the nurse finally hands you your baby—a tiny, wriggling bundle swaddled in white—you’re overwhelmed with love.
“She's perfect,” Lando whispers, his voice thick with emotion. “Absolutely perfect.”
Later that night, Lando posts the first photo of Baby Love Norris: a close-up of their tiny hand clutching his finger. The caption reads:
"Our greatest Love. Welcome to the world, little lady ❤️."
Two days later, your phone buzzes with a notification. You open Instagram to see another post from Max. It’s almost identical—a photo of his baby’s hand holding his finger, with the caption:
"Our little Love has arrived. We’re so in love ❤️."
Your eyes widen. “Lando!”
He rushes into the room, disheveled but alert. “What? What’s wrong?”
“Max and Kelly named their baby Love.”
Lando stares at you for a moment, then bursts out laughing. “You’re joking.”
“Look!” You show him the post, and his laughter grows louder.
“Of course they did,” he says, shaking his head. “I swear, Max is doing this on purpose.”
By the next race, the entire paddock is buzzing about the two Baby Loves.
“You sure they're not twins?” Oscar asks one morning, his grin as wide as ever.
“Must be something in the water,” Charles adds with a smirk.
Max and Lando handle the teasing with their usual banter.
“They’re basically the same kid,” Lando says during a press conference, leaning back in his chair.
Max nods. “Mine’s faster, though.”
“Oh, please,” Lando shoots back. “Mine’s already smiling. Yours just cries.”
“They’re newborns, Lando. What do you expect?”
One afternoon in the paddock lounge, Max walks in carrying Baby Love Verstappen, who’s swaddled in a pastel yellow blanket. Lando immediately perks up.
“Look who finally showed up!” Lando says, grinning as he leans over to get a look at the baby.
“She’s beautiful,” you say, smiling warmly.
“Of course she is,” Max replies smugly. “She’s a Verstappen.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Lando mutters. “But I bet she’s not as cute as our Love.”
“Are you seriously competing over babies?” you ask, rolling your eyes.
“They compete over everything,” Kelly says, sitting beside you. “It’s like having two toddlers already.”
By the end of the weekend, people start reposting a meme of the two baby Loves photoshopped into tiny F1 cars, complete with helmets and matching “Love” liveries. Both Lando and Max share it, each captioning it:
"Team Love: P1 and P2 ❤️."
Life is hectic, chaotic, and overwhelming, but as you watch Lando cradle your baby, his face lit with pure joy, you know it’s exactly how it’s meant to be.

cloudburst

y/n and harry broke up. he goes on a date, and y/n drives in the rain.
wordcount: 8.5k+
—————
(Y/N) knew it was hypocritical to be feeling jealous at the moment—pathetic, even. She was there that night, she knew she was the one that ended her relationship with Harry. He was single, and there was nothing wrong with him going out with another girl; he could take her to whatever restaurant he wanted, including the one that they had found together last month.
It had only been a couple of weeks, though. And, he had been the one that wanted to try and work things out with her. Harry had been the one that was insistent that they could work through this—the miscommunications, the lack of time together, the passive aggressive arguments—, but now he was the one moving on nearly immediately. She wanted to cry that it wasn't fair, that he was supposed to still be torn up about it the same as she was.
It wasn't as if she didn't love him anymore or was itching to get out and meet other people, she was just finding herself more unhappy than she was happy when she thought about him. He had told her that he loved her, that he wanted her—needed her—when she had sat him down, she thought neither of them would be moving on this quickly.
But, it's fine. It's whatever. Good for him.
Locking her phone, she placed it face down on her kitchen counter with a startling slam. She didn't double check to see if she had cracked her screen, instead stepping away from the device all together as if it wanted to sulk just as back as she. If her phone was a good friend, it would delete the Instagram app as soon as possible; there was no reason to see any more pictures of Harry and his new friend at dinner.
Forcing her head to clear, (Y/N) padded through her apartment with the intention of cleaning up. The last weeks had left her with heartbreak brain, chores having been pushed to the wayside as she recovered. When was the last time she went grocery shopping? Had she really run out of tissues or did she have an extra stash in some closet she'd been too lazy to check?
She shook her head, taking the pile of dirty socks to her washing machine while her mind raced with distractions. It was late, but she could go grocery shopping, at least to pick up a few essentials so she didn't order in again for the next couple of days. Seeing the world for another reason instead of work would be good for her, she thought. Even if the thought of putting on shoes that weren't slippers made her want to tear up.
After starting up the washing machine, she trudged up the stairs towards her room. The cloudy night called for something warmer than the ratted t-shirt and frayed shorts she had on, leaving her to rifle through the collection of sweats she had tucked in her dresser. No matter the garment she pulled out of the drawer, didn't seem to be enough; not thick enough, soft enough, warm enough. Leaving the pieces in a mess in the drawer, she didn't let herself think before she was drifting to her closet where there was a too familiar hoodie hanging up.
The smell wasn't quite as strong as it had been weeks ago, but there was still a faint scent of Harry's cologne embedded in the fibers. It was truly nothing more than a plain black hoodie, the material showing wear in the way the strings were tied into a bow at the neck with frays at the end, holes lining the sleeve hems, and a lipstick stain smeared on the back shoulder in a shade she had on her bathroom counter. Though it was his hoodie, she had stolen it enough times that it lived at her home with Harry taking it back every now and then, imprinting himself on it for her to revel in once he gave it back.
Taking her bottom lip between her teeth, she knew it was a bad idea. There was no reason for her to wear that hoodie. Really, it was surprising that he hadn't asked for it back yet—especially if he was going out with other girls.
It would be crazy for her to wear it, right? It was not normal to be mourning a relationship she ended. That was not her hoodie.
She slipped it on, anyway.
As much as (Y/N) was crazy, and hypocritical, and jealous, and insensitive—she missed him.
This whole thing would be a lot easier if she wasn't still in love with him. If he had just broken her heart and ruined those feelings for him, she wouldn't be feeling insane as she pulled the sleeves over her hands and pretended as if she wasn't breathing in his scent.
Going out didn't seem so bad when she had this on, though.
Collecting her bag and keys, she made a point to rush through the final steps of readying herself before she was going out the door. If she waited too long, she might end up crying in this hoodie instead.
Outside, it was raining much harder than she had initially thought. Pulling up her hood, she attempted to protect her hair from the droplets though there were casualties that were immediately pasted to her face. By the time she made it to her car, the hoodie was beginning to grow heavy against her back, rain streaked down her bare legs (in the interest of getting out of the house, she didn't change from her shorts like she'd wanted), and her lashes made heavy with mist.
Once safe inside her car, she pulled in a heavy breath.
She could do this. While Harry was out at dinner on a date, she'd go pick up some spaghetti noodles and more cheese than she should eat in a week.
Because she wasn't upset. She wanted to be broken up. She's fine.
With a forceful turn of the key in the ignition, (Y/N) gladly focused on the mechanics of driving through the rain as opposed to everything else on her mind. The clean scent in the air filtered through the cab, comforting her more than she realized.
No doubt, she could do this.
Pulling onto the main road, she turned up her music to be heard over the sound of the rain beating against the windscreen. The pavement was slick, dyed a slate black with the help of the droplets, puddles growing in every small divot in the road. The streetlamp twinkled off of the gathered water, rippling with each added drop. Everything was just a bit bleary through the windshield, even with the reach of her wipers going in overtime to wipe away the streaks.
While she was never a huge fan of driving in less than perfect conditions, especially at night, the scene out here tonight was a perfect match to the pit in her stomach. It made sense for the weather to act this way, she thought; she was too torn up for the world to be given a cloudless, warm night.
The music playing sifted through a playlist she'd found the other day, her search having been nothing more than for "breakup music". While she didn't know every song, or if she was even allowed to be moping to the tunes considering she was the one that cut things off, the lyrics she could catch were felt in her chest with a weight on her lungs. The ones about the other party moving on before the singer was ready stung particularly sharp tonight.
Especially when an all too familiar song started up, a voice she'd heard thousands of times before pleading with his ex lover to keep from calling her new flame "baby".
This song had come out long before (Y/N) had met Harry, written with another in mind, but she remembered listening to it back then. She remembered wondering just how heartbroken one would have to be to write stanzas just as these, how hurtful it would be to see your love finding someone else to take your place.
(Y/N) automatically reached out to skip the song, not even knowing it was on the playlist despite it being an obvious pick, but her hand stopped short.
It'd been weeks since she heard his voice, even longer since he sang around her. Even if this was through speakers, mastered and fit to music, it was something she'd been missing despite pretending she didn't. Her throat bobbed as she swallowed, dropping her and back to the steering wheel as if she hadn't just submitted to self-torture.
As the tune went on, (Y/N) no longer had to wonder what kind of heartbreak went into poetry like this. She was right where Harry used to be, wishing he would give her just a bit longer of pretending to be his baby before he chose another.
She hadn't realized she was tearing up until her wipers were unable to keep her view from being blurry. The rain outside now paled in comparison to pools glimmering at her waterline. Her skin felt hot, resistant to the chill seeping through her vents. She didn't even make it through the full of the outro before she repeated the song once more, knowing it would only spur her tears on that much more.
Before she knew it, her bottom lip was quivering before a broken sob puffed from her lips. She sniffled with tears racing down her cheeks, searing over her warmed skin.
It wasn't her business, but did he share the same bite of sushi with this new girl that he'd also given to (Y/N) a month ago? Did he order the same bottle of rosé? Did he reach across the table to push her hair out of her face just as he did for (Y/N)? Was tonight going to be the first date they would relay to friends and family when asked how they had found someone so special? She had no right to ask any of these questions, but was Harry going to fall in love with this new girl?
Did he think of (Y/N) at all tonight, like she was thinking of him?
The idea of being on Harry's mind at all was enough to have her hands tensing around the wheel, but the thought of not crossing it at all had them shaking instead. Her eyes were flooded, hands wavering on the steering wheel, skin warm and nose wet. The rain beat down against the hood of her car with as much force as her heartbeat, riding the tempo as if she couldn't hear it well enough in her ears.
She shouldn't've left the house tonight. It would be way easier to sob like this if she wasn't having to also keep track of the road in front of her and the slick pavement beginning to flood with more water than the drains lining the sidewalks could handle. At least she seemed to be the only one out on the road at the moment.
Scrubbing her hand over her eyes, she attempted to clear them in hopes of regaining her focus. The song was over now and she planned on wiping that song and subsequent album from her vicinity as soon as she made it to the grocery store.
By the time she blinked her eyes open, lashes sticking to one another under the weight of her tears, she was only a few hundred feet away from the vague outline of a stoplight. She hadn't even seen the light shift from green to yellow, let alone to the blazing red that shone overhead.
Of course, now would be the time she saw one other person on the road, already creeping out into the intersection to use their own green light.
In a knee-jerk reaction, (Y/N) stomped on her brakes. Her breath caught when she felt that tell-tale give under her tires, the feel of the back of her car shifting out of sync with the steering wheel.
The broken rattling of her heart was replaced by the pounding of the beats against her ribs as she realized there was no way she was going to stop. She was currently gliding over the road, her tires unable to grip onto anything underneath them through the layer of rain on the pavement. All she could do was turn the steering wheel and hope that her car followed, hopefully missing the poor bystander who would learn that she wasn't paying as much attention as she should have been when coming to the intersection.
Every thought in her head seemed to happen in slow motion, but the world around her raced by in a second. She could feel her mouth moving, her voice muttering curses that made no sense, but there wasn't a single sound she heard over her heartbeat. Beyond her windows, the rain blurred every moving shape, her foot still heavy on the brake despite it being a fruitless effort.
Headlights shone against her face for a brief second before she cranked the wheel, spinning just in time as she hit the middle of the intersection. Her new bleary view showed off the vague outline of the pole of the stoplight for a brief moment before spinning out even further until she was facing the direction she'd come in, her car turning in a complete one-eighty in her lane until everything suddenly stopped with a metallic crunch.
She heard the impact before she felt it. Her driver's side door whammed into the pole of the stoplight, denting through the layers of metal with the window cracking and breaking. Prisms of glass rained over her, grazing her face and tops of her thighs with prickling shards. Her dented door threaded to push in on her before stopping, leaving a pressure against the side of her body and a complicated way to get out of the vehicle once she found her head. Her dashboard was lit up with every caution insignia as if she had no idea of what had just happened. Through the broken window, rain began to stream in, seeping into the cuts on her face and legs. She shivered though she couldn't feel a single chill from the air, her body beginning to reel from the accident she had just found herself in.
In the back of her mind, over the pelting rain and pounding heartbeat, she heard her breakup playlist filtering through the remaining speakers.
A wretchedly familiar voice singing about fine lines and being alright.
"Hon? Are you okay?"
Turning to face the nice woman who'd come to check on her after witnessing her blunder, (Y/N) opened her mouth to respond.
She burst into tears.
—————
Harry really needed to stop wearing this necklace.
He'd known that for the last few weeks, and, yet, every time he'd thought to unclasp it and put it at the bottom of a jewelry box to never be seen again, he never had the strength to. Instead, he continued to wear it every day, absently playing with the single pearl sitting at the base of his throat.
Natalie watched as he fiddled with the pendant, but he still couldn't get himself to stop his idle hands.
He hadn't even wanted to be here tonight, anyway—he had to self-soothe somehow, even if that meant playing with the necklace his ex-girlfriend gifted to him.
Natalie was nice enough, a friend of a friend of a friend who'd been around to some parties here and there, but she wasn't (Y/N). Harry had only agreed to come out tonight in hopes of giving him a reason to wash his hair and eat something that wasn't bread or coffee while sitting on the kitchen floor. Even with clean hair and an order of his favorite sushi cleared from his plate, he still felt slices of guilt; one for going out with someone while still being very hung up on his ex, and for going out at all with someone who wasn't (Y/N).
Harry wasn't stupid, he'd caught the cell phones pointed in his direction when he and his date had been seated. If it wasn't up already, it was only a matter of time before those photos would be circulating on all of the socials and appearing on timelines. He could already picture the headlines for tomorrow morning, detailing the mystery woman on this dinner date while questions about his previous flame were posed. He just hoped (Y/N) would somehow be able to dodge these flecks of news—even for only a couple of days.
Hopefully, he'd have a chance to talk to her before she knew. If she was open to hearing from him, he'd explain where he was coming from in even agreeing to this date, and maybe she'd take him back. If she knew he was still in love with her, willing to change his schedule, relearn how to communicate, start going to therapy weekly again, would it be enough to salvage their relationship?
"But, what about you?"
Being pulled from his head, Harry had to face Natalie with a blink of his eyes. She had been talking about a movie or something—or was it her last holiday?—, but he hadn't heard a single word. Another pang of guilt in the pit of his stomach.
He thumbed over the pearl at his throat. "Um... I'm so sorry, wh—"
Divine intervention came in the form of his phone vibrating in his pocket. He shot an apologetic smile at Natalie before slipping the device out of his pocket, eager to pick up for whoever was on the other side.
Until he saw the contact name, anyway.
(Y/N)'s mother. She was calling him.
"Who is it?" Natalie asked, canting her head at Harry's startled expression.
"Um... Jus'—uh—someone I haven't heard from in a while. I have to take this, 'm sorry."
He didn't catch Natalie's reaction before he was rising from his seat and heading towards the front door with the phone pressed to his ear. Rain sprinkled over his head while thunder cracked in the distance. A darker storm was moving in.
"Hello?"
"Harry?! Harry, are you there?"
"'M here, yeah. Is everything alright?" He'd never heard her voice in such a frantic state, especially not over the phone like this. Was she that upset over the breakup?
"(Y/N)—It's (Y/N). She's been in an accident, and I—we—Her father and I, we're—She's alone. I-I know you two broke up, but she's in the hospital by herself and the nurse said she's not doing okay, she's—I don't know, I don't want her to be alone but I can't get on a flight until tomorrow morning and there's—"
Frantic chattering continued on through the receiver, but there wasn't a single syllable that was able to breach his thoughts.
(Y/N) was in the hospital. She'd been in an accident and was now at the hospital. Alone. She wasn't doing well while she was in the hospital after being in an accident, all alone.
His stomach turned.
"Wha—Where's the hospital? What hospital is it?"
Was he having a heart attack? Every beat of the organ fluttered at the base of his throat, the chambers squeezed tight.
He needed to find her. She couldn't be alone. She had to be okay and he needed to be there.
Her mother shakily relayed the name of the hospital and room number, stumbling over the syllables until Harry had them seared into his memory.
"I-I'm so sorry to ask you, I know what—"
"No, no," he shook off her words, "Th-Thank you for telling me. 'M going to her right now, I'll let you know how she's doing."
Shaky goodbyes were shared with quiet sobs sounding on the end of the other line. Harry felt breathless as he stowed his phone away, hands shaking with fumbling fingers. His head was a mess.
All he wanted to do was go—get in his car and go, be with (Y/N). But, there was Natalie sitting at their table, a dessert ordered to the table with their check of sushi and wine waiting with their server. There were people around them who would no doubt post about any kind of commotion he sounded tonight, perhaps even leak his location if hearing he was on the way to a hospital in the city. (He usually liked to see the best in others, but it'd happened before, these wild invasions of privacy).
Despite every instinct pushing him towards the parking lot and abandoning the night, Harry forced himself to walk back into the restaurant. He held a thin grip on his control, but it was enough to get him back to his table with Natalie so he could quietly speak with her.
"Is everything okay?" she asked before he'd even taken his seat.
Swallowing, his throat bobbed as he shook his head. "No, actually. I—'m really sorry, Natalie, but I have to go. My, um, a friend of mine—they're in the hospital. I need to go."
Natalie's features were marred with surprise, mouth dropped open with her lashes in a glimmering flutter up at him. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. That's so scary. No worries, go ahead I'll take care of everything. Call me when you can, okay?"
Meeting the blue shimmer of her gaze, Harry felt his features tighten. She was much too nice for him.
He wasn't going to call.
Harry didn't say anything before he was rushing out of sight, only stopping at the hostess station for a slick second to tell the staff to charge the card attached to the reservation. Natalie was open to order whatever she wanted for the rest of the night, but she wasn't paying for a single cent. This would be his apology for never calling.
It was with shaky fingers that he typed in the name of the hospital (Y/N) was at—all alone—as soon as he was in his car. Though his heartbeat didn't settle much, his head felt a bit clearer knowing that with every mile he was cruising down the street, he was growing closer to (Y/N). His hands couldn't stay idle for very long, consistently reaching up to the necklace around his throat.
(Y/N) was going to be alright, right?
The question warmed the backs of his eyes, flushing his skin. As much as he wanted—needed—to be at her side, Harry realized he wasn't sure what he was walking into. Her mother had said she wasn't doing okay—whatever that meant. What kind of scene was he going to walk into?
Stop lights and brake lights passing in a blur through the growing rain, Harry made it to the hospital in record time. The pavement was slick, reflecting the glow of the streetlamps and the many car lights bumbling through the carpark. He didn't think before he was pulling into the first spot he found, parking at a sloppy angle before he was rushing out.
With the rain coming down, his hair fell across his forehead, slicking to his skin. The droplets acted as the tears he was unwilling to shed until he saw (Y/N) in person.
He marched his way into reception, shoes squeaking over the linoleum. Behind the desk, a woman perked up, spotting him with bored eyes before she perked up with recognition he knew too well.
"Hi, um, how can I help you?" she sputtered.
Unable to muster a greeting smile, he kept his eyes low. "I—um—I need to see someone, please?"
The rest of the checkin passed in a daze, Harry only barely able to keep himself from begging to see (Y/N). He relayed as much information as he could, showing any kind of identification needed. He was more than thankful to hear that her parents had approved his visit during their initial phone call, something he filed away for later so he could thank them when he had a clear mind.
The best thing he heard, the one that stuck glaringly in his mind, was the fact that she wasn't housed anywhere to be treated for critical pain. She was being held somewhere safe and hopefully comfortable.
Following the given directions, Harry felt like a ghost as he floated through the different doors and elevators. He moved restlessly while he dinged through the floors, feet shuffling while his eyes were trained on the rising numbers.
Was this the slowest elevator on earth? Or were they always like this?
Once set free on the correct floor, Harry floated through the halls, sweaty palms pressed into the pockets of his pants. All he could focus clearly on was the room numbers pinned beside the doors, the thumps of his heart bubbling in his ears.
After going down what felt like endless miles of hallways, the correct room number finally appeared before him. The door was shut, the lights inside dim. His hand hesitated on the door handle.
He had been so consumed with making it to her, to make himself feel better with the sight of her, that he hadn't really considered if she would even want to see him. If she wasn't asleep at the moment, would she just kick him out? She had been the one to break up with him, anyway.
Before he could doubt himself any more, he pushed through, keeping his steps light over the linoleum.
Just as he thought, the room was quiet and dark, rain streaking down the window. There was a warm glow coming from the standing lamp at the corner of the room, machines beeping along with the television with a made-for-tv movie playing. A whiteboard marked with her name was pinned to the wall, filled with stats and jargon Harry didn't have the mind to decipher.
Amongst it all, (Y/N) was laid in the hospital bed with the thin covers pulled to her middle. Her eyes were shuttered, showing off the bruising underneath alongside the myriad of cuts over her skin. As peaceful as she appeared, sleeping away under the crumpled sheets, Harry couldn't help the tears that touched his eyes.
With the door closing behind him, he drew closer to her bed. It didn't take much examination to spot the tear tracks glimmering on her cheeks, the swollen puff of her lips. It was the same way she'd looked when she had told him she didn't want to be with him any longer.
Harry wasn't sure what broke his heart more: the obvious evidence of weeping on her features, or the fact that her tears would have skated over every cut and scratch marring her cheeks?
He shuffled over the floor. He wanted to be at her side, hold her hand and let her know she wasn't alone anymore, but he didn't want to wake her. There was a reason that she wasn't allowed to head home after being checked out by the hospital team, the more rest she received the better.
Instead, he gingerly made his way to her bedside, taking a spot in the uncomfortable chair seemingly waiting for him in the lamplight. With the way she was laid up in the bed, he had an unobstructed view of her relaxed features, some of the more notable injuries on her face bandaged up while others were left treated with nothing more than a glistening salve. She didn't look particularly comfortable, especially knowing how she usually liked to curl up with her hands to her cheek and legs to her chest, but this was better than nothing.
Better than being in a wrecked car somewhere.
The thought was sobering, enough to have those tears he had been urging away to resurface on his waterline once more.
She was here. (Y/N) was okay—hurt, but well enough to be left to sleep on her own. She was no longer alone.
He hung his head in his hands. He didn't want to think about what kind of accident would have put her here, blood on her face with machines monitoring every vital in her body.
With those tears in his eyes, peeking up at her between his lashes, she looked like a watercolor painting. The edges were blurred, leaving the general outline of the person that filled his dreams and became his muse for the better part of the last year and a half.
He couldn't believe the last month of his life. He'd lost her. And for what? Because he didn't think it was important enough to send her a text when he was going to be out later than initially thought? Because it was easier to let his schedule happen to him, as opposed to shaping his life around making enough time to spend time with her? Because why would he talk to her, tell her where he was coming from, when he could be passive aggressive and sweep everything under the rug instead?
The beeping of the heart monitor was the pitched baseline that anchored him to the room. Every dotted sound kept him from being swept away in the rivers of tears dripping down his heated cheeks.
He could have lost her today. In the worst case scenario of this day, he would have received a very different phone call. He wouldn't have had the chance to sit at her side right now. He wouldn't have seen these healing injuries on her, instead having only old photographs to remember what life looked like on her.
As cracked as his heart was at the moment, he would take these cuts and scrapes, this uncomfortable chair, the stiff set of her bedding, over any other ending this night could have had.
The rain pelted against the window as Harry fixed his gaze to the love of his life.
He wasn't sure how long he sat there, if it had been nothing more than a few minutes or if it had been hours at her side, until there was the soft click of the doorknob twisting with the door pushed open. Entering was a nurse in soft purple scrubs, hair pulled back and a clipboard in her hands. She had her eyes trained down before looking up to catch Harry wiping his eyes and (Y/N) unstirring in her bed.
"Oh, hello," she murmured, voice soft as they were both aware of the patient in bed, "I didn't know she was having any visitors tonight."
A barely there smile curled Harry's cheeks, his skin smooth of dimples. "Yeah, got here as fast as I could. Have you been helping her?"
The nurse shook her head, "A little, but she's been asleep for most of it. Poor thing cried herself into exhaustion, so I doubt she really remembers meeting me."
Her statement had his bottom lip quivering. Harry had to remind himself to be grateful she was even here to cry.
"She's doing alright, though?"
With a quick glance at the clipboard, the nurse nodded her head. "Yeah, she's doing much better—now that she's calmed down a little. We've just gotta keep an eye on her for tonight. She got a good crack to her head, so I want to make sure she doesn't sleep for too long tonight."
Harry gave her a nod, a moment from offering to wake (Y/N) for her before the nurse stepped forward. In gentle tones with a hand to her shoulder, she woke (Y/N).
Unlike her, she had been sleeping rather lightly, jumping awake after only a single call of her name. (Y/N) fluttered her eyes open, lashes sticking together from the dried crust of her tears, enough so that she reached her scratched hands up to rub the mess away.
"Hi," (Y/N) greeted, her voice in a croak as she got her bearings.
"Hello," the nurse responded with a gentle smile, "Sorry to wake you, hon. I just wanted to check on you, then you're good to go to sleep, again."
"Okay," (Y/N) breathed, struggling to sit up.
Without thinking, Harry surged forward, helping her as much as he could. The second he put his hands on her, (Y/N) jumped, having not seen him prior.
It was clear she was more than surprised to see him with the way her eyes widened, blanching at the sight of him.
"Harry?"
He offered a quiet, thin smile, sitting back in his spot once she was stable, sitting up for the nurse. "Hi."
Before much else could be shared between them, the nurse began running her tests. Small talk was shared between the two, (Y/N) glancing more than once in Harry's direction. His hands were a fiddling mess in his lap, watching with rapt attention as every evaluation was run.
"Everything's looking okay—what I expected we'd be seeing," the nurse mused, writing down her information on the clipboard in hand, "But, how are you feeling? Any extra pain, anything you want me to take a look at or mention to the doctor?"
"I'm fine," (Y/N) smiled, the expression less than convincing, "Nothing hurts any more than earlier."
"Okay, okay," the nurse nodded, "That's good, let me know if that changes. I'll be back to check on you in a few hours, so get in your rest while you can."
A pointed look was placed in Harry's direction at her last statement, a teasing curl to the corner of her lips. (Y/N) gave a sheepish nod.
"Right, thank you."
The nurse departed with a couple of well wishes and a reminder that she'd be back in a few hours. Once the door clicked behind her, a stiff silence settled between them. The only sound came in the form of the mechanical beeping of the machines around her and the ending of the television movie playing.
(Y/N) had her eyes facing ahead, her bottom lip trapped between her teeth. Harry stared at her.
"(Y/N)—"
"You're here."
His throat bobbed as he heavily swallowed. "I am," he nodded, dropping his gaze to his picked cuticles in his lap, "Your mum called me."
A furrow had her brow pinched. "Her and my dad are on vacation right now."
Another nod, a strand of hair touching over his forehead. "They'll be back tomorrow morning, but she wanted someone to be with you tonight."
Maybe it was the way her shoulders tensed, the glassy look that took over her gaze, or the pinch to her features, but something brittle settled in the air between them. Every breath felt delicate as he waited for any kind of response.
"I'm sorry."
It was his turn for his brows to knit together. "For what?"
That fragile tension between them cracked.
"You were on a date."
Harry hung his head, lips thinning. He thought he would have more time to explain this.
"'S not what it looks like, (Y/N)."
She shook her head, voice quiet under her breath. "So it wasn't a date?"
Sucking in a breath, his lungs squeezed. "I mean—It—Yes, it was a date, but—"
The beeping of her heart monitor heightened, the pitch seemingly hitting higher than a moment before with the pace quickening. "So it is what it looks like."
"(Y/N), 's more—there's more to it than that."
(Y/N) only shrugged at his half-hearted response, her head hanging between her shoulders.
Harry felt just as defeated as she looked now. This wasn't how he wanted to reunite with her, but he guessed beggars couldn't be choosers. This was the opportunity he had, and he wasn't going to turn it away.
"What happened tonight?" he murmured, shifting the conversation away from his own blunders. Unfortunately, this avenue would be an easier section to stomach than anything she would want to know about his date.
"I got into an accident."
"I know," Harry gently prodded, "But, what happened? Y'usually only hit curbs, not anything else."
His shoulders loosened when his teasing was enough to draw a huffed laugh from her, a slight smile softening her features.
As much as they may have deteriorated recently, he did know her. He knew her better than he knew himself.
"It was just raining really hard, and—I don't know—I wasn't able to stop like I thought. I slid and hit a pole, and... yeah."
As much as he did like teasing her about her more precarious driving habits, he knew more than anything that she was cautious. It wasn't like her to settle into accidents like this—she rarely ever drove in weather like this anyway, let alone at night.
"Y'never drive in the rain," he pressed, an unaired question bookending his words.
"I know."
Harry looked at her, waiting for more than those two syllables. It was fruitless, he knew.
He hung his head, running an absent hand through his hair before his fingers found the pearl at his throat. Eyes on the floor between his feet, he couldn't look at her as he spoke once more.
"(Y/N). What happened tonight?" This isn't like you. Why did this happen?
The air in the room seemingly went still.
When he chanced a look up once more, he saw her sitting in her hospital bed with sparkling tears in her eyes. His chest panged at the sight. He knotted his fingers tighter together, forcing himself to see from reaching out.
"(Y/N)...," he started, voice decidedly more gentle than a moment before.
She shook her head. "I didn't want to be home—and I was crying, and I wasn't paying attention and the rain was heavier than I thought—and just... Everything happened."
What was worse? Hearing that she had cried more than once tonight, before she'd even got in her accident, or seeing her recount it with another set of tears racing down her cheeks?
This time he couldn't help himself; Harry reached out to touch her wrist. Her skin was warm under the chill of goosebumps on her skin. While she didn't move to hold his hand like she used to, she didn't flinch away. That was enough, he thought.
"Why were y'crying, lo—(Y/N)?" He internally cringed at his slip up. He had no place calling her anything but her name. "What happened?"
Another shake of her head. "It's stupid," she sniffled, fluttering her eyes closed with the tears clinging to the tips of her lashes.
"Not if it made y'so upset that y'ended up here tonight," he crooned, words a quiet lilt only for her to hear, "What happened?"
"I—It's..." she cut herself off more than once, throat bobbing, "I don't... I was the one that broke up with you, I-I'm not supposed to be upset. It-It's not fair."
Her voice was barely a whisper by the time she finished speaking. His hand on her wrist tightened, a snug warmth against her skin. He ran his thumb over the bone, pretending he didn't feel the cut just on the underside.
He waited.
Another made-for-tv movie started on her television.
He waited.
She took a deep breath. Her eyes still closed.
"You went on a date tonight."
Harry's shoulders deflated.
"(Y/N)—"
"No," she peeped, shaking her head with her arm stiffening under his hold, "No. You were on a date, and I'm crazy and I'm not supposed to be upset, but I couldn't handle it—I didn't want to be home alone an-anymore. I didn't think you'd be over it already since I'm not, but you-you can do whatever you want an-and I need to be okay with that. And, then you—your music, it started playing while I was driving and I-I—Harry, I couldn't stop crying and then I crashed." Her voice was clogged in her throat, muddy and thick. Her tone came in waves, ebbing and flowing until it gave out. "I'm sorry."
There was no chance Harry had of keeping his own tears at bay as he listened. It was too much—all of it; hearing her beginning to sob over the thought of him being over their relationship, how just the sound of his voice over her speakers brought her to tears while driving, the fact that she'd seen photos of him out on a date had driven her from her home to get away from herself.
He felt his skin flush, the warmth heading down his neck the same way his tears did. He sniffled his nose, his lips rolled between his teeth to keep himself from blurting out each thought he couldn't help but to have.
He doubted telling her how much he loved her was going to be much help when she was so dedicated to the thought of him already finding someone new to replace her.
"You—" he cut himself off when his voice came a croak, clearing his throat with his hand on her wrist. "Y'don't have to be sorry, (Y/N). You're not crazy, either—I don't know what I would do if I'd seen y'go out with someone else, either. Y—'M jus' sorry, I never—I didn't mean to—"
"It's okay, it's okay," she murmured, shaking her head as she slid her arm out from under his hand, curling into herself while she refused to open her eyes. "It's not your fault—you—I ended our relationship, you can do whatever you want." A shuddering breath had her shoulders shaking, lungs rattling. "I-I'm sorry you're here instead of with her."
Just short of climbing up on the bed beside her, Harry pulled his chair as close to her side as he could. There wasn't anything he could say—nothing that he could imagine would shift her mind on what she'd seen and decided was the truth. All he could do, even if it involved uncomfortable bending of his joints, was collect her into his arms and hold her. It was only then that the slow roll of her tears were let loose into full weeps, her face buried into his neck.
She burrowed against him, sinking into him as if the last month hadn't occurred. His hands spanned over her form, familiar with every plane and curve. His fingers caught on the raised abrasions that could be felt through her thin gown, but Harry could only be grateful that those were the only evidence of her accident. The mechanical beeping of her pulse skittered high, enough so he worried that the nurse could be alerted of the disturbance. Nonetheless, he held her tighter.
"There's nowhere else I want to be," he murmured into her hair, his voice watery like the tears running down his cheeks.
Reaching towards him, (Y/N) wrapped her hands in the wool of his jacket, fingers clawing into the fabric in a tighter grip than he'd expected from her state. "E-Even tonight?"
Her cry was thin and pathetic, causing Harry to pulse his arms around her once more. "Tonight—every night. As long as 'm with you."
He could feel the flutter of her lashes as she cinched her eyes shut tighter. Her voice was barely a whisper when she spoke again, just audible given how closely he had her wrapped around him, "Wh-What about her?"
He shook his head against her hair, his nose skating over her crown. There would be a time to really unpack why he found himself at a candlelit table with Natalie, including everything that was going through his head every time she spoke to him, but that wasn't tonight. She needed him, and all of the reassurance he could give more than he needed to clear his conscience and monologue over his feelings.
"She's not you and that's all that matters to me," he told her, sincerity dripping in his tone, "All I want is you."
(Y/N) cried in a blubbering sob, "I didn't think you loved me anymore."
Harry's own eyes had to be shuttered closed then, a fruitless attempt in hopes of stemming the tears falling out of his eyes and into (Y/N)'s hair. "I didn't think y'loved me anymore, darling."
"I-I do, I do," she countered, shaking her head in his neck with her grip tightening on him, "We-We just never saw ea-each other anymore, and I-I thought you were mad at me all th-the time and I thought we'd be happier apart—b-but I was wrong and—"
"It's okay, it's okay," he soothed her, starting a circuit of his palm over her back, "I-I understand. But now we know—you're all I want, an-and I'll do anything to make it work with you."
"You're all I want," she whimpered, voice tight, "Don't leave me."
While a part of him was soaring knowing that she was still in love with him, that this wasn't over the way he'd thought, he was still more than heartbroken to hear that she was so torn up and broken herself. She thought she had no choice but to end the relationship in hopes of making both of them happier elsewhere. He never imagined himself making someone he loved feel that way.
"I won't."
—————
Rubbing the lack of sleep out of his eye, Harry stood back as (Y/N) checked out of the hospital. Her mother was twined to her side with her father looking just as distraught, though he was better at giving his daughter space. They'd come straight here as soon as they landed only a couple of hours prior, walking in on Harry who had stayed far longer than the originally carved out visiting hours with (Y/N) still in his arms.
Gratitude was exchanged between them—Harry for coming to (Y/N)'s side at a moment's notice, and her parents for telling him at all and letting him be there for her—with a thread of stiffness lingering afterwards. Harry couldn't blame them; the last they'd heard about him was the fact that he'd been dumped by their daughter along with all the reasons why. They didn't know what had come of the night before, yet, only seeing the aftermath of their tear puffed faces and his arms wrapped around her.
Truthfully, Harry wasn't even sure where he stood with (Y/N) at the moment. Promises uttered through sobs after a traumatic event wasn't something he was going to hold her to. Even if he wanted to believe she was still in love with him and wanted to be with him like she'd said last night.
Armed with paperwork and parents at her side, (Y/N) nodded to the nurse at the checkout with a plastered smile. Though they were still clear on her skin, the cuts and scrapes she'd earned in her accident didn't look so bad when she smiled with light in the eyes.
Though he was still a bit too far away, he could hear the mumblings of a quiet conversation happening between (Y/N) and her parents. He was sure she was going to go home with them, and sort out everything else that couldn't be helped with a night at the hospital, but he'd wait until he knew she was safe before he'd leave himself.
He watched from the corner of his eye, giving them privacy, though he could see (Y/N) waving off her parents before stepping towards him. It was a lingering departure, her mother refusing to let go too readily, though she eventually resigned herself to head down the hallway towards the bank of elevators with her husband and her daughter's paperwork.
(Y/N) took shy steps towards Harry, empty hands a fiddling mess.
"You're still here," she said, voice quiet to match the waiting room.
He shrugged, a small smile having curled the corner of his lips. Was he supposed to remind her that she had asked him to stay, or keep that ex-boyfriend barrier in place? (If it was even still standing, given the way she'd fallen asleep in his arms just hours before).
"You're doing alright?" he asked instead, scanning over the planes of her face as if he didn't have them memorized already.
She nodded. "Just sore, but I think I'm just going to feel that way for a little while. My head's doing better, though—I still have a headache, but I don't think it's because of the accident."
Though she ended with a laugh, Harry figured she wasn't sure what to make of last night anymore than he did.
"'M happy you're alright," he told her, sincerity weaved through his words, "Are your mum and dad taking y'home?"
"Yeah," she nodded, looking over her shoulder to the couple waiting at the elevators, "I think my mom wants me to stay at their house tonight, but we'll see."
"Oh, y'don't want to spend hours watching soap opera reruns tonight?" Harry teased, a sly smile touching his lips. The curl only stretched when (Y/N) laughed.
"Not particularly, but who knows," she said, sparing another glance over her shoulder to see the audience waiting on her, "Um, we talked a lot last night."
"We did, yeah," he nodded, throat bobbing as swallowed, eyes dropping from her own, "But, we don't—'m not—If y'don't feel the same way as y'did last night, 'm not going to ma—"
"I do," she cut him off, a bright chirp that matched the spark in Harry's chest. "I do feel the same, I mean. We should probably talk a little more, though, right?"
A dimple dented Harry's cheek, suddenly feeling incredibly more alive than just a heartbeat before. "Probably."
"Are you busy tomorrow? In the morning?"
It didn't take a second thought before Harry was moving his schedule around to keep his morning stark open tomorrow. Those meetings could be moved—maybe even made into an email or a quick phone call.
"Not for you."
The blooming smile she gave him was reminiscent of the first time he pulled that flirtation on her.
"Good," she quipped, "I'll call you tonight or something, then. Maybe we could get breakfast tomorrow?"
"I'll be there," he cemented, "Jus' tell me when."
The rewarding light in her eyes made it easy for Harry to forget the last month of his light (except for the night he'd just spent with her, of course).
"I will," she told him, "Bye, Harry."
Maybe it was the way she hesitantly stepped towards him, or the shy way she had her lips rolled between her teeth with a budding smile, or the memory of her warmth against his chest, but Harry didn't think before he was collecting her into his arms. (Y/N) melted into his chest on instinct, wrapping her arms around his middle. He could feel the mush of her cheek against the cuff of his shoulder. Despite the sterile scent of the hospital clinging to her, underneath it all was the familiar fragrance of her shampoo and sweet body lotion she somehow never ran out of.
Drawing away first, (Y/N) only put enough space between them to get a look up at Harry. Though her eyes were bloodshot, bags darkening underneath, and the shadow of her tears lingering in the corners, he'd never seen anything more beautiful than (Y/N)'s eyes.
"I'll see y'tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow."
Long after she untangled herself from his hold, Harry still felt (Y/N)'s warmth long enough to carry him home and keep him company until his phone rang a familiar tone later that night.

Soulmates. A concept where in a world of magic, talking direbeasts and overblots, were believable enough, with families passing down tales of romance and tragedies generation to generation. Some describe meeting their soulmate like a love-at-first-sight encounter, others say it feels like finding a missing puzzle piece, an instant click.
So… what do the Savannaclaw boys think of meeting you, their soulmate, for the very first time?
Jack Howl! Who had been fed all the fantastical stories of soulmates ever since he was a child - constantly begging his parents to tell him the tales over and over again, before repeating the tales as bedtime stories to his younger siblings, to the point that they had long gotten sick of it, asking him to read them something else for once, please? So, of course, Jack had expected - no, waited - for his soulmate to come, eventually. Hopefully, by the time he’d graduated Night Raven, opened up maybe a gym, with a nicely furnished apartment of his own, with a small balcony to put his cacti… but fate had other plans. You. Just another student walking the vast halls of Night Raven. And yet. Just the sight of you made his face burn hotter than the many days of running track under the sun ever could, the blood roaring louder than waterfalls in his ears, the steady thump-thump-thump of his heart beating against his chest… oh, and his tail thumping on the floor. Wait, what? Thanks to you, he simply can’t focus on any of his classes and club activities anymore… what a bad influence! >:( As his soulmate, you ought to take responsibility… By following his principles, of course! Which means he’ll have to be around you to make sure you follow them! Whatever shall you do… ;)
Ruggie Bucchi! Who never really thought much of it. Sure, sure - he’d meet his destined soulmate, and then what? Partners were costly, and he was pretty sure it wouldn’t be worth it. Besides, what kind of idiot would want to date, much less marry, some poor street rat? No one, he supposed - and he really couldn’t blame this mysterious soulmate either. Sure, granny would nag him constantly for this belief, telling him to ‘Have a little whimsy!’ But he couldn’t. Because whimsy took up time, and time was something he couldn’t afford. Until he met you, that is. It was a complete accident - you were simply yet another unassuming person who had just bought a sandwich from the school’s canteen, the same sandwich that everyone wanted. Which meant Leona had to get it and sent Ruggie to steal it for him. So, Ruggie did what he always did. He sneaked up to you, snickered, and was about to use his unique magic when - oh. You heard him. Well, that didn’t happen often. Your eyes locked into his, and he felt his knees weaken, his tail twitch, and his hands tremble. “Y-You - Laugh With Me!” Who then proceeded to run away with non of the limbless agility he usually possessed, face burning pink. Ohnonononono - absolutely not. Unless? But you - agh, he forgot Leona’s stupid sandwich! Hey, soulmate - help him out here, pleaaaaaaaaase? ;)
Leona Kingscholar! Who wasn’t really fond of all that soulmate crap. After all, his parents weren’t soulmates, and the only soulmated pair in his family were Falena and his wife, and that was just a lucky fluke. Besides, even if he did meet his soulmate, if they weren’t royalty? End of that relationship. Who was he to say that he’d even meet his soulmate? Hundreds and hundreds of people lived in Sunset Savanna, much less the entire world of Twisted Wonderland, so the chances of finding them realistically were slim. The thought had never really bothered him much - after all, he couldn’t miss someone he don’t know. And then, you happened. Just another fool who’d stumbled upon him napping in the botanical gardens, with the luck of accidentally waking the prince up. He had lazily cracked his eye open, tail twitching in annoyance when - huh. His heartbeat raced, eyes boring into yours with an intensity. Great Seven. His ears twitched for any sounds from you, tail unconsciously curling around your ankle. Soulmate. He’d actually managed to meet his soulmate. What kind of cruel prank was this? (Do expect to get trailed and used as a human pillow now. Sorry not sorry. ;) )

【Opposites
Attract】 - Part One
a/n: ok but do y’all see this BEAUTIFUL artwork commissioned by @gods-banshee?? not me crying over it T-T literal perfection; i'm fucking obsessed also WILDLY hype about this series. gonna be a slow burner for sure!!!
Pairing: Mohawk!Mark Grayson x f!Reader
Warnings: None
Tags: Fluff, slice of life
Word Count: 2,835
Brief Reader Background: You have an ability to bring inanimate objects to life. After years of training and testing with the GDA, however, it's determined that your ability is maxed out at small, harmless things – think teddy bears, dolls, and the like. Your powers manifested a little after your 7th birthday, but prior to this you lived on the same block as Mark and were childhood friends.
Chapter Synopsis: After 10 years of being in the GDA’s custody, you're “emancipation” from them and start attending your first – and final – year of schooling as a high school senior. The story is gonna have time skip within the next chapter or so; don't worry you wont be stuck in high school forever lmao
It’s funny, isn’t it? The way you spend your entire life imagining a moment, only to have it feel completely different when it actually happens.
You stand at the entrance of the school, heart racing in your chest like it's trying to escape. You should be excited. This is it, after all! Your first day of typical, public academia. You were finally free; out of the sterile rooms where you were tested like some kind of lab rat. No more government buildings. No more men in white coats watching you expectantly, just to be disappointed. Finally, a chance to be... normal.
Except, standing here at the edge of this intimidating hallway, the weight of the moment hits you. This place, the one you thought would feel like a new start, feels more like a cage than a haven.
You tug at the sleeves of your oversized hoodie, hiding your hands, as if making yourself smaller will make the world less overwhelming. You’re not ready for this.
Sure, you’ve spent the past decade in government custody. Sure, you’ve been pushed to test the limits of your powers since you were seven. But none of that prepared you for high school. No one ever taught you how to make friends or blend in with a crowd. How to pretend like you don’t feel like an outsider, a walking alien in a world that doesn’t want you.
Around you, the students swarm through the hallways with an ease you swore you’d never have. They laugh, they talk, they fit in. You’re invisible—something that should be comforting but now feels suffocating. What if you never fit in here?
You hug your books tighter, but it doesn’t help. You’re just another ghost walking down a hall full of people who don’t see you, don’t care to see you.
Your thoughts spiral. Should you talk to someone? Maybe try to make friends? No—don’t be stupid. You don’t know the rules. You’ve never been here before. All you know is how to stay out of sight.
As you drift along, your mind spinning, you notice a change in the air. The chatter and footsteps fade for a moment—an unnatural quiet falls over the space. It’s like the world just paused.
And then you see him.
Mark Grayson.
Your heart skips a beat. There’s no way—could that really be him? You haven’t seen him since you were a kid, but he’s unmistakable. The same messy black hair – albeit buzzed into a more alternative style. The same tall, broad frame. He is unquestionably the same guy.
But you quickly take note that he’s not the goofy, awkward kid you remember. Which of course he’s not; it’s been over a decade, after all. But even still, he seems… different. He walks through the space like he owns it, like everyone should step aside for him.
And they do. They part like the Red Sea. It’s as if they all know he’s something bigger than the rest of them.
The room feels like it freezes as Mark passes by, but you don’t care. You can’t care.
You have to talk to him.
Do it. Don’t think, just do it.
You take a deep breath and walk toward him, pushing through the crowd. Your heart pounds so loudly, you’re sure everyone can hear it. You’re not thinking anymore. You just… have to see him, talk to him, maybe get that little piece of your old life back. Was then even possible?
“Mark!” you call out, unable to keep the excitement out of your voice.
There’s no response, and you wonder if he heard you – how could he not though, when the building was deadly quiet?
“H-Hey, Mark!” you say again, louder this time, almost desperate.
His eyes flick toward you for a split second, but then he just… keeps walking. He doesn’t stop. He doesn’t even give you a real look. His face is set, cold, like he doesn’t care who you are or that you’re calling out to him like a scream in the void.
You freeze. His sharp eyes felt like ice water being dumped on you. He doesn’t care. He’s not happy to see you. In fact, he’s not anything about you. He doesn’t even seem to recognize you.
And just like that, he’s out of sight down the hall, leaving you standing there, utterly dumbstruck.
The students around you are still watching. Some are whispering, others are glancing at each other and back at you. You can feel their eyes on you like a heavy weight, and all you want to do is disappear.
You take a shaky breath and try to calm yourself. Okay. Maybe it wasn’t that big of a deal, you say in your mind. Maybe he’s just having a bad day. But then again, maybe Mark had just changed. Maybe he was a different person now.
But that didn’t matter, did it? You weren’t here to find pieces of the past. You were here to start something new. Right?
But even as you think that, a worse thought settles in your stomach. You could never belong in a place like this.
But then you catch yourself. This isn’t you. You’re not some weak pushover who would just let herself fall because of a bitter glance. You’ll figure this out. You have to. You won’t let this place swallow you up like everything else in your life has.
You push your shoulders back, block out your doubts, and start walking again, the noise of the hallway beginning to buzz again in your ears. This new chapter of your life is just beginning, and you’re not going to let it be the end of you.
—
It’s been months since that first day, and nothing has really changed. You’ve kept to yourself, as usual. You go through the motions, your head down, eyes on the floor, trying to blend in with the crowd. It’s easier that way. The loneliness doesn’t sting as much anymore. You’ve grown used to it, the way you’ve grown used to all the other parts of your life that never quite fit.
At lunch, you find your usual spot—the quiet corner near the window, where it’s easy to pretend you’re somewhere else. You unpack your lunch, but your mind is elsewhere, and you catch yourself absentmindedly playing with the small dragon charm that hangs from your bookbag. It’s one of the few things from your past that you still carry with you. You loved the way the charm sways in the light, like a tiny piece of magic you can hold onto.
A chuckle pulls you out of your thoughts. You glance up to see a guy, someone you’ve seen before—a jock—standing a few feet away with his friends. They’re all looking at you, and you feel the familiar heat of embarrassment creep up your neck.
“You know, I thought you were kinda cute at first,” the guy says, grinning like he’s just discovered a new joke. “But then I realized... you’re just a fuckin’ freak.”
He laughs, his friends joining in. Your face flushes with a mix of surprise and embarrassment, your fingers tightening around the charm in your hand.
You open your mouth, but the words get stuck. You don’t know how to respond. You just want to disappear.
But then, something happens. Something that you can’t quite believe.
The jock freezes, his face suddenly contorted in pain, as if something is crushing him from behind. He lets out a whimper, and his friends stop laughing. The cafeteria falls into an eerie silence.
You look up to see a hand gripping the guy’s shoulder. It’s large, powerful, and the grip is tightening. The jock’s face goes pale, and his friends are frozen, unsure of what’s happening.
“What’s so fuckin’ funny?” The voice is vaguely familiar; cool, detached—it’s Mark’s voice.
The jock tries to turn around, but he can’t. Mark’s hand is practically crushing him, and it’s clear he’s not letting go until he’s had his say.
“Go ahead. Tell me,” Mark continues, his voice a low threat. “I wanna laugh too.”
The entire cafeteria is watching now, all eyes on Mark and the guy whose face is turning red from the pressure. The tension is thick, the kind of heavy silence that only comes when everyone knows they’re witnessing something they shouldn’t be.
An administrator, a stern woman who’s been standing by the door, steps forward, trying to break up the confrontation.
“Mark Grayson! What do you think you’re doing?” she says, her voice sharp.
Mark doesn’t look at her. He just gives the jock’s shoulder one last squeeze, and the guy winces before Mark releases him. The jock stumbles forward, clutching his arm, too humiliated to speak.
Mark turns his gaze on you next, his expression unreadable, before he starts to walk away, heading for the exit. The cafeteria slowly returns to its usual noise, but you’re still frozen in your seat, doe eyes watching him as he went.
You can’t help it. You’re in shock, your heart still pounding in your chest. Your hands are shaking slightly, and the dragon charm still dangles loosely from your fingers.
For a moment you sit there, struggling to process what just happened. Did Mark really just stick up for you? Your brain turned slowly in confusion. You’d already given up on the idea that the so-called friendship you once shared would ever come back, but now, with him standing right there, was this… some kind of invitation?
The jock is still rubbing his shoulder, trying to regain his composure, but Mark is already gone.
Your heart is racing in your chest, and before you can second-guess yourself, you shove your things back into your bag and rush to your feet. You’re not going to let this chance slip away.
You move quickly, pushing past the crowd of students who are still staring at the scene. You can’t help but feel that familiar mix of nerves and excitement twisting in your gut. He’s not gone yet. You can catch up. You will catch up.
“Mark!” you call out, your voice a little louder than you intend. It’s shaky, but there’s no turning back now.
Mark doesn’t stop. But that’s okay. You won’t stop either.
You break into a jog, your shoes skidding slightly on the linoleum floor as you make your way down the hallway.
“Mark, wait!” you say again, a bit more forcefully now. You’re not going to let him just walk away this time.
Finally there’s a hesitation. Mark pauses just for a moment, not turning around, but long enough for you to catch up. You hadn’t really thought about what you’d say if you got to him, but now that you’re here it really all just comes pouring out. The words tumble over each other, as if they’ve been stuck inside your throat for years.
“Hey! Mark! You remember me, right? [First Name]—[First & Last]. We used to play on the swings together, remember? You’d always try to push me higher, and I’d scream for you to stop, but you didn’t listen, and I’d cry. That was such a good time—do you remember?”
You continue to ramble, not even giving him a chance to respond, the words coming faster the more you talk. You try to force yourself to slow down, but it’s like the floodgates opened, and you can’t stop now.
“I mean, after everything happened, I never thought I’d see you again, you know? I wasn’t sure if you remembered, but I always thought about you—about us. I-I didn’t really have anyone else to think about, you know? I was stuck in those government buildings, just being tested and waiting and then more testing and more waiting… It was awful, Mark. I mean, just really fucking shitty, y’know? I didn’t get to go to school or… be normal. I didn’t even get to be a kid, really. And don’t even get me started on puberty—talk about a nightmare. But then they didn’t want me anymore so I ended up here! And—well, obviously, I don’t exactly fit in. But I thought, maybe we could talk, you know? I mean, we were friends once, right?”
Your rambling was out of control, the words an awkward mess as you take quick and uneven breaths. You’re not even sure if what you’re saying is making sense, but you can’t stop.
Mark had finally stopped walking, and you stood only a few feet away from him now, the hallway otherwise empty. He runs a hand through his hair, clearly uncomfortable, before muttering, “Jesus Christ, I don’t remember you talking this much.”
The sound of his voice, a full sentence—an actual, coherent sentence directed at you—makes your stomach flip. You can’t help the wide grin that spreads across your face. He’s talking to you!
And your attachment to him is immediate.
“I—I—well, I have a lot to say, obviously! It’s just, you know, after all that time and stuff, I wasn’t sure if you—if you remembered anything about me, or if you even wanted to—" You keep going, voice a little higher now, eager and breathless. “But anyways here you are, talking to me! Hey, do you remember—"
“Whoa, whoa,” Mark cuts you off, rubbing his temples slowly. “I literally can’t understand a word you're saying. It all just sounds like… mouse noises. Like you’re just squeaking at me.”
You stop mid-sentence, your face falling slightly. The silence between you two feels like it stretches on longer than it should. Mark’s eyes flick to the side, and for a moment, you can see him tense up, almost like he thinks he might’ve hurt your feelings—not that he would care. But then, before he can say anything, you burst out laughing.
“I forgot how funny you are!” You can’t help it. The awkwardness, the tension, everything melts away as you laugh. You laugh because this is Mark, the same guy who used to make dumb jokes and laugh at all the stupid stuff you said. The same Mark who wouldn’t let the other kids on the playground kick over your sandcastles, even if he looks a little different and acts a little… rougher now.
Mark stares at you, wide-eyed, blinking like he doesn’t quite get what’s happening. But for a second, his lips twitch. It’s the barest hint of a smile—almost imperceptible, but it’s there. Maybe it’s because he didn’t expect you to laugh at his insult. Maybe he didn’t expect any of this.
Then, he finally speaks, his tone dry, laced with that familiar sarcasm. “Y’know, this is why that fucking meathead called you a freak.”
You rock back on your heels, hands clasped behind your back as you tilt your head and stare at him with an almost innocent expression. “That’s okay. I might act the part, but you definitely look it,” you say, giggling a little. Mark’s brows furrow, and he gives you a look that would’ve sent any other student running for the hills. You, however, are completely unfazed.
You step closer to him, and, moving with the quickness of someone who’s truly bad at reading the room, you rise onto your toes and curl a lock of his mohawk around your finger, studying it with exaggerated interest. Mark, of course, could’ve easily grabbed your wrist the second you made a move toward him. Any other person would’ve found themselves nursing a broken limb, but for some reason, he remains as still as stone under your touch.
Your finger lightly tugs at the end of the strands. “What’s with the hair, by the way?” you ask, genuinely curious. “I mean, you did always act like punk-ass when we were kids, but this is like... next-level.”
Mark glances down at you, eyes narrowing slightly as if trying to gauge whether you're serious or just messing with him. “You’re a nosy little shit, aren’t you?”
You shrug, still not taking your finger from his hair. “You think so? I dunno, I guess I’m just kinda surprised by this version of you,” you say, a teasing grin tugging at your lips. “You’re, like, all tough guy now.”
Apparently having had enough Mark abruptly smacks your hand away with the back of his own. He tsks through his teeth, eyes closed as he turned his head away. You furl your lips inward, eyes wide as you stare at his face. You wait a second, then murmur,
“… Did I make you mad?” He hopes you don’t notice the way his lips twitch upward. “Anyways what’s your schedule! Maybe I can switch into some of your classes.” Mark opens his eyes again, glancing down at you with almost disbelief. Were you for real?
He starts to walk away, hands shoved casually in his pockets as he went. And you stayed right beside him, a shadow to his every step.

Music tastes
The Cap's music tastes changes at times. It's questionable at best, so just accept whatever song comes up when he's listening in on the speaker. (This is heavily inspired by my own music tastes lol)
Captain Marvel: Radio, video, boogie with a suitcase.. You're living in a disco! Forget about the rat race!
Cap sang to himself as he punched down a villain after another as he was wearing headphones (no idea how they work in space they just do.)
Green Lantern(Hal): Is that pop muzik..?
Captain Marvel: Huh.. oh yeah, it's good song!
Green Lantern (Hal): It fits you.. Like oddly well.. *continuing to fight the villains*
Captain Marvel suddenly screaming (to himself) into a make shift mic (The deadly weapon that the main guy was holding): Dig through the ditches and burn through the witches! I slam in the back of my Dragula!!
Green Lantern(Hal) jumping up in surprise: The hell dude where did that come from?
Captain Marvel: Oh sorry, I got really invested in the song-
Green Lantern(Hal): I thought you were listening to pop muzik??
Captain Marvel: I was! *Looking down at the small ipod* Now it's underground mongolian rap!
Green Lantern(Hal): WHAT??
.....
Captain Marvel coming back from patrol, finally sitting down on the communal couch before Batman popped up.
Captain Marvel: Oh hey Mr. Batman, do you need anything?
Broodman: Hello Captain. I've come to speak about you're.. Concerning music tastes in the JL Spotify account.
Captain Marvel: Well what seems to be the problem?
Batman: You're Playlist has some concerning and at times odd choice of songs.
Captain Marvel: I didn't think those were that odd?
Batman: The songs in your Playlist, and I've picked it out randomly is Bye Bye love, ...How to catch a predator, It's okay to punch Nazis, and..Sunshine, Lolipops and Rainbows...

TAGS: Caleb x MC

The first drop lands on your nose. You barely have time to register it before another falls, then another.
"Ughhh, come on," you groan, gripping the grocery bag tighter as the sky cracks open above you.
Caleb huffs his easy, unbothered kind of laugh that makes your stomach flip. "Guess we’re running for it?"
"What do you think?" you ask, already breaking into a sprint.
The rain comes down in sheets, cold and relentless, soaking your clothes to the bone. Your shoes slap against the pavement, splashing through puddles, but neither of you slows down. You barely notice the groceries bouncing in your arms, too busy trying to keep up with him.
He turns back just enough to grin at you. "Still slow, huh?"
You shove him, breathless. "Still annoying, huh?"
Caleb grabs your wrist and pulls you forward, laughing as you take a sharp turn onto your street. The porch light glows dimly through the rain, barely visible through the blur of water and motion. You reach the steps in a messy, gasping tangle. Dripping wet, grinning.
You drop the grocery bag onto the porch with a soggy thud, pushing your soaked hair out of your face. "Now we have to cook dinner while looking like sewer rats."
Caleb’s still looking at you. Not in the usual, teasing way. Something softer. Something warmer.
You blink at him. "Hm?"
He shakes his head, water dripping from his chin. "I think I just time traveled a little bit ."
You frown. "How is that?"
He exhales, slow. "We used to race home from school , we don’t anymore, but I love being reminded that the same you is still there."
You roll your eyes, but you’re smiling. "Yeah? And you’re still the same. Always making sure I don’t fall behind."
That silence stretches, thick and expectant.
The rain doesn’t let up. It seeps into the pavement, into your skin, in breaths. The air hums, wet pavement and something electric, something charged, something that always lingers when he’s near.
Before you can stop yourself, before you can think too hard, your fingers find his forehead, brushing away a strand of rain-soaked hair. A small thing. A quiet thing. But his breath catches, and when his eyes flick to your lips, the whole world tightens, sharp and waiting.
He moves without warning, no hesitation, no space for second thoughts. One moment, the world is cold rain and shallow breaths, and the next, his lips crash against yours, urgent, relentless. His hands find your waist, not claiming, but remembering, like he’s always known you’d end up here, tangled in the storm. It’s messy, breathless, rain slipping between you, but none of it matters. There is only the press of his body, the gravity of his pull, the way he holds you because you’re the only real thing left in the world.
You pull away breathless and shivering and still completely, utterly ruined.
Caleb smirks, nudging you toward the door. "Come on, sewer rat. Let’s get inside."
Your fingers slip against the keys, hands unsteady, not just from the cold but from the ghost of his lips still pressed against yours. The door gives, swinging open, and the warmth rushes in, swallowing you whole. But the chill lingers, clinging to your skin, settling in the spaces he left behind.
"I’ll grab some towels," Caleb says, his voice a little rougher than usual. He disappears down the hallway, leaving you in the entryway, dripping onto the welcome mat.
Your clothes are soaked through, clinging to your skin with the weight of water. The fabric sticks uncomfortably, the cold seeping in, there’s no point in keeping them on any longer. With a sigh, you pull them off, letting them fall to the floor in a damp heap, the relief almost immediate as the fabric no longer drags you down.
Caleb returns, arms full of towels, his shirt conspicuously missing. "You can wear my, oh, yeah, that works too." A flicker of amusement crosses his face as he drapes a towel around you, the warmth sinking into your skin. Without missing a beat, he scrubs another through his damp hair, water dripping down his collarbone.
"So, dinner," he says, breaking the silence.
You nod, pulling the towel a little tighter around yourself. "Yeah…"
Caleb just gives you a look and walks into the kitchen.
You follow, but you take the longer path, passing through the laundry room to drop your dripping clothes onto the tile floor. You shut the door behind you. He gets the hint. I know he does.
He pulls out all the ingredients while you put them away in their various cupboards. He’s still shirtless. His jeans are also soaked, but he doesn’t seem to mind.
The water’s running in the sink.
"Let’s make it quick," Caleb says. "Something easy."
"I’ll get the salmon," you say.
You shiver while crossing the kitchen, the cold still clinging to your skin. The overhead light hums, too bright, too warm, casting long shadows against the tiled floor. You pull open the fridge, fingers curling around the package of fish tucked in the door. When you turn back, Caleb is at the stove, the steady flicker of the burner catching in his eyes. You step beside him, closer than you need to, peeling open the plastic, the quiet rip of it lost beneath the rain still tapping against the windows.
He gives you a look. "What?"
"I don’t know. You just seem a little... cold."
You smile, putting your hand on his bare back. "I’m not cold."
He smiles back, a little more honestly. "Okay." He smiles, turns back to the stove, and sets the salmon in the pan.
The sizzle of the pan cuts through the quiet, the scent of fish curling into the air. Heat rises, slipping into you. You step closer, just enough to feel the warmth of him chase away the last of the cold. Caleb doesn’t move away. Doesn’t say anything. You just stand there, side by side, the steady rhythm of cooking filling the silence, the weight of something unspoken settling with you. Waiting.
It’s a comfortable silence, the only sound the crackle of the flames and the sizzling of the fish.
"Smells good," you say.
"I hope it tastes good," Caleb replies, turning the salmon with a spatula. "If it doesn’t, blame it on the weather." He glances up at you, raising a brow. "Did you really go outside without bringing an umbrella?"
You shrug. "It wasn’t raining when I left for the grocery store."
He snorts. "You didn’t check the forecast?"
"I didn’t think about it."
"That’s how you always get yourself into trouble," he teases. "Never plan anything, then end up needing to call me to carry your bags."
"Planning’s boring," you say, smiling. "Besides, I always end up where I’m supposed to be."
Caleb’s eyes are soft as he looks at you. "Yeah?"
"Yeah." You lean up and kiss him on the cheek. "Especially when I’ve got you looking after me."
His gaze lingers on yours for a moment, his mouth slightly open as if he’s about to say something. But he just blinks, clears his throat, and looks away. "I think it’s ready."
You pull back, letting him work. He makes a sauce and warms the rice and vegetables he already cooked for you a few days ago. The kitchen’s warm now, the comforting smell filling the air.
He takes the salmon out of the oven, plates it with care, and slides it over to you. "Is this alright?"
You pick up your fork but can’t take your eyes off him. He’s still shirtless, his hair a little messy. "Yeah. I’ll eat it."
He smiles and slides over to sit next to you at the table.
You cut into the fish and take a bite. It’s good. Caleb watches you chew, a pleased smile on his face. "I’m glad you like it," he says.
"I’m always glad to eat your cooking," you reply, taking another bite.
He nods. "Glad I could make you happy."
The words settle, soft and unspoken, lingering in the space where silence holds more weight than sound. You don’t look up, but you feel it, his gaze, steady and knowing. Caleb just smiles, he’s always known and he’s been waiting for you to catch up.
The food is good, the kind that sinks into your bones, warming you from the inside out. You take your time with it, let the flavors linger. Caleb cooks as if he knows what he's doing, and he does. He doesn’t need to say it.
When he reaches for the rice, his arm brushes yours. A small touch, fleeting but deliberate. He doesn’t move away, and neither do you. The warmth of him lingers, something quiet and certain.
Then he looks at you, really looks. That soft expression, the one that makes your stomach twist, makes the air feel heavier, thicker. He sees something in you, something worth seeing.
His hand finds yours, even after the plates are empty, the last grains of rice gone. He doesn’t let go. Neither do you. His fingers curl over yours, warm and steady, a quiet kind of certainty.
You shift, just enough, lacing your fingers with his. His palm fits against yours, just as it always has.
You swallow. "I should probably shower," you murmur, the weight of his hand still lingering on yours.
You let go of his hand and get up from the table, picking up the dishes and putting them in the dishwasher. He watches you, looking a little disappointed but also relieved. "Don’t worry about the dishes," he says. "I’ll take care of them later."
You shrug and leave them alone. He’ll wash them when he’s done with whatever he wants to do. Maybe he has other things planned.
You step through the laundry room once more, the door clicking shut behind you. The air is thick with the scent of damp cotton, your discarded clothes still pooled on the floor, dark with water. You peel away the towel clinging to your skin, trade it for another, dry, warm, untouched. The old one joins the heap as you step into the shower. The water comes down too hot, biting at your skin, but you don’t flinch.
You stand there, unmoving, as the water threads through your hair, soap lather slipping down your skin. It’s warm. Soft. It unwinds something tight in your chest, loosens the grip of the day just a little.
A minute passes. Maybe two. Then, the creak of the bathroom door. The whisper of fabric against skin. A quiet splash as he steps in behind you.
"That took longer than I expected." You try to sound unbothered.
"I had to at least let you make it to the shower." He wraps his arm around your stomach to pulls your back against him.
Your breath catches as his hands slide down your body, a little bit of soap on his fingers. He rubs it into your skin massaging deep into sore muscles. He leans in, his teeth nipping at your ear as his hands move lower, over the curve of your hips, then between your thighs.
"why were you toying with me?"
"hm?"
"why were you toying with me?"
"hm?"
"why were you toying with me?" you say louder over the water
"hm?"
"…"
"I heard you the first time." his smile is so gorgeous.
"Caleb"
He’s hard against your ass as he slides his fingers over you, moving them into your wet warmth, finding that spot inside you that makes everything clench. He’s always so quick to find it.
"Are you feeling it, love?"
"feeling what?"
You moan, your hips arching back to meet him.
"I’m so thankful for you and the trust you give me to care for you"
You note how much he does feel incredibly good.
His mouth moves against your neck. His teeth nip at your skin as he slides his fingers tease you. He holds you in place because you’re his. You have always been his
"Salmon is an aphrodisiac isn’t it?" you breathe
He slides his digits in with ease, and it feels good, too good. It makes your toes curl, your heart thump.
"and pineapple and rose tea."
You pant, your fingers finding their way to his hair, tugging at the roots.
"Caleb please."
"I’ve hardly touched you."
He hums against your neck and you feel it trickle up your spine.
"Your need for control is infuriating."
"You don’t look upset," he murmurs, his touch leaving sparks in its wake. Your breath stutters, your body betraying you as you lean into him. He hums, pleased. "I would notice if you did. I know you very well."
His grip tightens at your waist, fingers pressing hard enough to leave the echo of his touch behind. His lips find the curve of your neck, hot against the chill of the air just outside of the water’s reach, his hold unrelenting. The press of his body is grounding, familiar. The need coils low and insistent, something inevitable, something that cannot be ignored.
"Let go for me, love," he murmurs against your skin, voice rough with need.
The words unravel you, and he feels it, the way you shudder, the way your head falls back against him. He leans in, his lips brushing your throat, his teeth finding the place that makes you weak. A sharp gasp escapes you as he bites down, a silent claim, a promise.
Before you can catch your breath, he turns you in his arms, hands firm as he pulls you flush against him. His lips crash into yours, the kiss deep and aching, all heat and hunger.
The cool tile meets your back as he presses closer, his touch deliberate, slow, knowing. He breathes your name against your lips, and you swear you’ve never felt anything like this, you might come undone with just his hands on you, with just the way he looks at you.
"Caleb," you whisper, and he answers without words, without hesitation.
He already knows. He always knows.
"Can I have you?"
"Please."
He pulls your leg up and wraps it around his back and slowly slides in. You lean your forehead against his chest and groan softly.
"You okay?"
"Mhm."
"Can I see your eyes?" His voice is gentle.
You glance up, and something in his expression shifts, softens, seeing something precious.
"You mean the world to me." He is so sure of his words.
"Only this world?"
"The universe, then."
"In just this time?"
"You mean the universe in all time, to me."
A small pause, a heartbeat in words.
"Well, I have to make sure."
"Geez" He picks up your other leg to wrap around his back making you gasp. "Would you be good for once?" He gives you a harsh slap to your ass. It makes your legs tighten around him and pulls him in deeper. You both groan.
He presses you against the wall as he slowly starts thrusting.
"Darling" he moans
You look down to where you both meet, when you look back up he catches your eyes. He has a smirk whispered on his face. You hide against his neck and feel the vibrations of his laugh.
"My sweet, naughty girl."
He picks up the pace.
"Caleb"
"I love hearing you say my name" He moans against your neck
He fucks you like you're his. Like he owns you. Like you're his to do whatever he wants with. His hand reaches down, his thumb finding your clit, rubbing it until you’re sobbing, until you’re begging.
"Please" Your hips involuntarily grind against him because your body was always his.
"You feel so good." He groans. "I didn’t think it was possible to be better than my dreams"
You moan, sob, plead as he drives into you. His fingers press against your clit. He knows how good it feels, and you clench down around him, your body shuddering as you come.
He makes everything go white. You forget who you are, forget where you are, forget everything but him being inside you. You shudder, clenching around him. His fingers don’t move from your clit. He keeps rubbing you until you’re a sobbing mess, your body limp in his arms. He fucks you through it, through all of it, with your legs are weak and your body is trembling.
"You’re so good to me, darling."
He groans, his body going taut, him pulsing inside you as he comes. It feels good, feels so fucking good as he spills inside you, still moving in and out like he doesn't want to stop. Wanting to stay forever.
His body slackens in the water. His arms tighten around you, afraid you'll slip away. You let him hold you, let him fuck you through the last of it. You let him do whatever he wants with you.
"I’m so thankful I get to love you." he kisses your forehead.
Steam curls around you both, soft, enveloping. The steady rhythm of the water drowns out everything beyond these walls, beyond this moment. It’s just the two of you, like the rest of existence has faded away, nothing else has ever mattered.
"I’m thankful to be loved by you." you lean against his heart, hearing it beating. Hear him alive and kicking. "you’re so good at it"
Caleb reaches over, twisting the knob until the water stills, leaving only the ghost of its presence in the quiet that follows. He slips out of you, pressing a slow, lingering kiss to your skin, his breath warm against your ear. "That probably didn’t count as a shower," he murmurs, amusement threading through the words.
You swallow, your eyes falling closed. You lean your head back against his shoulder. "I feel cleansed"
He presses a kiss to your temple before sliding his arms beneath you, lifting you effortlessly from the slick porcelain. You don’t protest, don’t even think to, you just let him carry you, the warmth of his skin against yours. He steps into the dim-lit bedroom, discarding the towels without a second thought before climbing in beside you, pulling you into his arms, where you belong.
You press in close, your head finding the curve of his shoulder, fitting as it was always meant to. His hands trail down your back, slow, deliberate, settling at your waist before sliding lower. He presses a kiss to your hair, breath warm against your skin, holding you there with no intention of letting go.
"Thank you for taking care of me"
"I’ll always take care of you."
"You don’t have to."
"No, I need to."
You nod against his shoulder. You don’t argue when his hands knead your ass, his finger rubbing at your clit.
You’re still sore from the shower, your skin pink and tender, and still sensitive. But you let him keep going, let him rub at your clit until you're whimpering against his shoulder.
"are you serious?"
"I just want to make sure you’ll sleep well."
His kisses are a specific kind of comfort, familiar and timeless.
"of course I will." you moan "I’m already so tired."
Your hips buck into him and he smiles against your lips.
"I’ll have to teach you how to be honest with yourself, sometime. Maybe tomorrow."
"I’m honest."
"mhm." He calls bluff. "Stop fighting it, love."
He holds you when you shudder, when you sob, when you clench around his fingers trying to get enough. He kisses your temple, your cheek, your mouth. You kiss him back, licking into his mouth with your tongue. His fingers keep moving, rubbing at your sensitive clit as he kisses you.
He slows down only when you push his hand away, rolling over onto your side. You snuggle up against him, feeling the warmth of his body, he is warm against your thigh. He kisses your forehead, his lips soft and warm. "Sleep," he says.
He pulls you in, a kiss pressed slow, deliberate, like something inevitable. Like gravity. Like fate. His hands linger, holding you as if he’s always had the right, as if you’ve always belonged here, in his arms. And maybe you have. Maybe you always will.

DPxDC prompt. Fae!Danny x Jason. Dead on main. Death of a Fairy Tale. or
"Oh no! This tricky hooman stole my heart! What should I do?" *becomes a leader of his court and, just in case, overthrows the tyrant Pariah Dark in order to allow marriages with representatives of other races and live happily ever after with Jay*.
~~~~~
“You're not allowed to be here. This is not your territory.”
Jason barely had time to catch his breath after escaping from the hot dog vendor when someone noticed him hiding in the bushes.
There were no rides for children or food vans in this park, so Todd didn't understand why anyone would cling to this territory but the guy looked at him with obvious concern. And well, after the morning's adventures, Jay didn't have any energy for another conflict at all. This kid looked pale and thin, so it didn't look like fighting with him would get him anything.
“Calm down, I'm just passing by. What's your problem, dude?”
“I live somewhere ne...here.”
Jason rolled his eyes. It's clear that the guy lived nearby, but it's unlikely that he had a house. The lack of a T-shirt and shoes hinted that in front of him was also a street rat who most likely had not yet learned how to defend his belongings. Poor guy. But this is definitely not Jason's business.
However, did he really spend the night outside in the open air? Sleeping on the bench was a last choice even for Jason. This might be acceptable options in some quiet provincial town, not in Gotham.
“I mean, what are you doing outside?”
Young Phantom checks his glamour, but finds no flaws in it. This man in front of him must be very knowledgeable and experienced, despite his young age, since he immediately recognized him as not a human being. For Danny, who lived with other fairies in Fairyland all his childhood and came to this dimension for the first time, the outside always meant the world of human. Fae shocked and upset that he was discovered so quickly. Haven't people almost forgotten about their existence? The elders would swear a lot if they found out that he had failed. The boy carefully orders the vine and clover to cover the circle of mushrooms, hiding the front door from the human. He was the only one of the entire brood entrusted by Undergrowth to start a practice in a city where there are almost no plants and sunlight, and faeling did not want to let down the mentor who took him under his wing at all.
The old Fairies claim that people are mean and narrow-minded, but Danny himself is intrigued by these creatures and therefore hopes that he will be able to come to an agreement with the boy and to continue his research without obstacles. Danny intends to take the exam for the right to be called an adult fae this decade, which means he has no right to make mistakes. But still, forcing a guy to dance until he drops dead from exhaustion or make him wander along the paths of this small green area without being able to find a way out, as he was taught to get rid of pests at home, seemed too cruel. This boy, just like him, is still a cub and he is here by accident, not to encroach on their possessions. They need not quarrel.
“Don't banish me. I'm just trying to learn.”
“To do what?”
“To steal.” Danny blushes, realizing that such honesty was unnecessary. Stupid, stupid...People know that faeries can take their names, thereby gaining power over them. Now this cub will definitely decide that he has come to cause harm and he will not be able to learn anything useful and interesting. Phantom quickly makes excuses. “Nothing important! I only borrowed trinkets and fruits.”
“You're new to this, aren't you?”
“Is it that noticeable?”
“Pretty noticeable, yes.”
The boy looked at him almost pityingly. And the Phantom didn't like it.
That's how the spirits and other fairies used to look at him when they found out he was only halfa. Because of this fact, his abilities were belittled and not taken seriously too often. What's wrong with that? He's dead just like everyone else, even if not completely.
And now he's screwed up, not even because of his nature, but because of his sluggishness. It was especially unpleasant, as it was deserved. He should have spent his time more productively, but the flowers bred with the help of humans were so interesting and talked about their longing for the sun with such sadness that fae did not dare to interrupt them.
Jason finished both of the stolen hot dogs and leaved the park. The guy still follow him and stares intently, almost without blinking.
“Stop it. What do you want?”
“I study. You seem experienced. “
“People don't really like being stared at like this, in case you didn't know. Back off.”
“Really?”
Jason was ready to be outraged that the kid thought he was an idiot but the tramp from the park looked really puzzled. It seems that if he ever had parents, they didn't care about the boy, since they didn't explain to him that atypical behavior could add him problems. The boy is lucky that Jay is an asshole only when absolutely necessary.
“You're weird. Try to keep your mouth shut near others.”
“Okay.”
Jason took a few minutes to think and sighed. Todd could not leave this strange child alone, because damn conscience would not allow it. He can't survive alone. He will either wander after some other person and become a victim of trafficking or he will be at the beck and call of some assholes in the late afternoon. Jason cursed his bleeding heart once more and promised himself that he would keep the boy by his side no longer than necessary. Jay couldn't afford to be responsible for another mouth to feed. Summer has already come to an end and it was worth starting to save a little money and store things in case of early cold weather.
“If I teach you some of my skills will you promise to stay away from the places where I…work?”
“Maybe. Is this a deal?”
“Yes, if you'll agree, idiot. “
Danny nods and his new acquaintance continues.
“First of all, we'll get you shoes and some clothes. I don't need you to pick up tetanus and some viral crap.”
Danny smiles a little, trying not to make it too noticeable. Great trick.
He nodded to indicate understanding rather than agreeing, and the boy did not ask for verbal confirmation. It seems that he is not completely hopeless at deceiving people. Phantom couldn't wait to tell Clockwork or Frostbite about his success.
They wound through streets and rooftops for a long time until they reached other man's temporary shelter, and Danny had to admit that the man's decision to borrow more clothes was very clever. Strange sharp things and narrow bags of biological fluid were found between the houses disgustingly often. The elders are right about something? Danny must admit. Some people are nasty. They didn't even clean the settlement they live in properly.
A foul-smelling device for carrying things flew into the face of fae while he thoughtfully followed the boy telling him something about removing so-called tires from the iron inanimate horses.
“Dude, stop fighting with a trash bag. You'll stand guard while I give the customer the goods, okay?”
“Fine.” To be honest, the intern was ready to cry from the injustice of life and rush home, and he was only stopped by the desire to visit the observatory, which his new acquaintance mentioned when fae complained that because of the smoke and smog the stars would probably not be visible at night.
Danny realized that he did not regret his decision when, a couple of minutes later, he heard his human quarreling with adult specimen. Judging by the conversation, the man refused to pay the price for the things brought to him and even threatened to hit Phantom's guide. Danny was annoyed by this and decided to intervene a little. To his good fortune, on the balcony of this vile man there was a pot with withering petunias and they did not mind helping lil fae teach their owner manners. A slight whiff of magic and the pot falls on the deceiver's head and human begins to choke on the roots that climb right into his mouth. Danny giggles, congratulating his green comrades on their successful revenge. Other boy doesn't waste any time and grabs the bucks that fell out of the customer's hands and orders new boy to run.
Danny spent several days with human cub and really learned a lot about these creatures. Despite the fact that such a pastime was exciting, he needed to at least create the illusion of practice the fae skills.
It is dangerous to ask a person who knows who he is about this but teachers will be upset if he does not make an attempt. And despite the fact that the people around him seem scary, Nocturn will be much scarier in anger if he finds out that Phantom is such a loser.
“Ma- Can I have your name?” Danny muttered uncertainly and immediately panicked at his own impudence. “Sorry!”
“Jason.”
Todd was in a good mood, as luck had been with him for the last few days, and the new companion was not at all as useless as it seemed to him from the beginning. He was able to hide so well that no one could detect them, and managed to bring fresh fruits, vegetables and mushrooms to their safe house. However, there were problems with the last one, since this strange dude sometimes brought toadstools and satan's boletes to their apartment, which he managed to get from unknown places. Jason thought he was going to have a heart attack the first time he caught child happily eating raw fly agaric. Indeed, if Jay hadn't found him this boy would probably have died of poisoning in that park by now. Todd had to persuade him to bring only chanterelles, which he could confidently identify as edible and not fear for their lives every time the boy tries to help find food. And his padawan really managed to find them. In Gotham. Holy shit. Maybe this park, so fiercely guarded by the boy, was another secret area for Poison Ivy's experiments? However, poisonous specimens will not be wasted either, since you never know when you will need to defend yourself without entering into a fight, but acting more subtly.
“Real name! Real one!” The boy's eyes were as big as saucers and he became very worried and waved his hands as if trying to shake off invisible sticky threads from his fingertips. “You shouldn't say your actual name! Why did you do that? You shouldn't have given it to me.”
“There are a lot of Jason's around. Why do you care about that?”
“You're not just some Jason, you're my Jason, you're important to me. It's dangerous if someone has your name. Then that someone can make you do bad things.”
Tears began pouring down boy's face and Jason was surprised by such a violent reaction. Todd doesn't think there's anything to worry about, since he didn't tell the stranger his last name. He often introduces himself in different ways. Just, for some reason, something made him be honest this time. But how would this guy know that?
“Well…You're not just anyone. We're friends. I don't think you're going to rat on me to the cops or anything. So it's okay. “ Jay tries to calm the newcomer down.
“Friends?”
“Yes. Friends forever?” Jason teasingly holds out his little finger, offering a childish oath that he recently taught his padawan.
“Forever.” The boy supports the oath, and then, after thinking for a second, leans closer to Todd and whispers. "I'm Danny, just so you know."
“Good. I'll remember.”
The young fae is overcome with euphoria. He took the name! He did it! But that was all the other boy had, apart from a rusty tire iron, so it probably wasn't right or friendly to keep it. The human cub helped him. Danny couldn't keep such a gift. He didn't even really try to get his name. “Jason is your name.”
“That's right, buddy.”
“I won't call you that name.” Where I come from, even spouses rarely know each other's names. Danny wanted to assure his friend that he should not be afraid that he would abuse his power. “ I like you so I will take full responsibility for the possession of such a gift, don't worry.”
“Hah, in order to take responsibility, you already need to at least marry me as a moral compensation, given the number of brain cells killed by your antics. “
“Well, if I have to, then I will. When we're older.”
Jason snorts and shakes his head. It's probably not love, since they're just kids, but still, Jason thinks that if all autumn evenings were like this, he wouldn't mind spending his life with Danny, snuggling closer to the boy while they both bask under the same blanket. No matter how many times a day they managed to roll in the mud and fall into the trash can, the boy always gave off a light scent reminiscent of spring greens, which reminded Todd of something warm and cozy. Maybe a home? Although when his father was not in prison yet, his house smelled more like the stench of cigarette smoke and mold. So Danny was more like a hope for a good home that they write about in books.
On their free evenings Jason usually entertained them by reading. Danny has always been an attentive listener, reacting vividly. After stroking the battered cover of a new book he found, Jason puts it aside. He's too tired today, and just wants to listen.
Noticing this, Danny begins to chirp about his homeland. His stories are like fairy tales, too bright and colorful for the stone Jungle. Jay realized a long time ago that his friend had something like a defense mechanism. Todd himself snapped and fought when the world was too cruel, this guy escaped to his fictional world, where he was safer and happier. His friend could have been a great writer someday. The descriptions of Princess Dorathea and her cruel brother, pharaoh with an unusual passion for technology and ultra-recyclo vegetarian queen of plants were so detailed and vivid that they seemed true. Danny's imagination contained the whole world.
When the first snowflakes fall to the ground, Danny says that this means that his friend Frostbite will soon come to pick him up. Jason is honestly not ready for such a turn of events. He promised himself that he would not be around another boy for longer than necessary, but he managed to get attached. He hopes that this statement is just another one of his companion's fantasies and forgets about it for a while.
A snowstorm is raging in the city when Danny does not return home. The snowfall does not stop for several days, and Todd realizes that his friend left him, although all his belongings are left in their apartment. He hopes that someone really came for the boy, and not that in the spring his body will be found in one of the melting snowdrifts. After a few months, when the canned homemade vegetables carefully cooked by Danny are coming to an end, and the mold, sitting alone in a corner of the ceiling all winter, felt the first the warm rays of the sun, Todd decides not to waste energy on useless worries and hopes.
Soon, as Danny would put it, Batman steals Jason. Todd doesn't really trust the old man at first, but he teaches him to be Robin, and, well, Robin is cool. He's magic. Robin is an urban legend, a spirit worthy of being the hero of Danny's favorite stories. Robin is Jason's connection not only to the city itself, but also to his past. Robin does not need to think about whether he should grieve not only for his mother but also for his friend. Robin is more. There is not only strength and hope in this uniform, but also memories, nostalgia and humanness. Therefore, Todd is not ready to give up the suit, even if he understands Grayson's displeasure. Because when he goes out on a patrol, the longing becomes less, and he feels that he is getting better and closer to something important. It helps.
No.
It helped.
And then he died.
And things are getting worse by the day, hah.
~~~A few hits with a crowbar later~~~
Jason learns about a new attempt of eco-terrorism relatively late, when he is officially called to help. Even so he stays at the place of the fight before the rest of the family. Firstly, because this time Ivy decided to start destruction from the closest to Crime Alley park, and secondly because Ivy's creations always pay little attention to him. Even the famous pollen has almost no effect on Hood.
Making his way through the furiously writhing vines, Red Hood notices the enemy and realizes that it is not Ivy, but decides that he will analyze the situation during the battle and rushes forward.
“Hey! Don't touch B, you.. “Almost flying into a guy with such a familiar face, the Hood slows down sharply “... pointy-eared.”
A guy with sparkling green energy in his hand and a vigilante with a pistols in each hand freeze looking at each other.
“Man, is it you?”
Snow-white hair, glowing green eyes, transparent dragonfly-like wings and razor-sharp claws are completely unfamiliar to Todd, but facial features, expressions and a bracelet with star pendants that Jay gave Danny for his birthday, adorning one of the impressive polished horns, allow to recognize him.
“Jay! It's been a long time, my friend.” Hearing Todd's voice, despite the sound changed by the helmet, the creature calms down. “You've grown up a lot.”
“And you're still so short. Wow. And, by the way, I can't believe you're still keep it.” Red puts the safety of the guns and then points one of them at the jewellery. “It's from a dollar store, nothing special.”
John says goodbye to the hope of a day off after the mission, cursing the manners of the bat and his offspring. Is a couple of days without the risk of interdimensional conflict really that too much to ask for?
“You gave it to me. That's why it's special.”
The creature smiles and Todd feels his face blushing. It's a good thing he's still wearing his helmet. Danny looks too…magical…in every sense.
“Do you know him, Hood?” Of course, Bat cannot stay out of the conversation when nothing is holds him back.
“No.”
“Yes.” Danny denies the statement of Hood, proudly puffs out his chest and declares. “He was my first. He calls himself Hood these days? How strange.”
Bat gasps and exhales indignantly.
Jason quickly connects the fact that his friend is definitely not human with the possibility that Danny's stories were true.
“Name!” Trying to fix the chaos that his friend is trying to involve them in, Red Hood hurries to explain. “He's talking about damn name. I'm the first one who gave...”
“Oh, come on, spoilsport. He almost believed me.” The fairy winks playfully and Jason has to do his best to focus on the mission and not on the guy. “You're my betrothed anyway. And, hey, I collected the library as a wedding gift.”
“Hm.” Hood rolls his eyes. This joke about their childhood promise would have been hilarious if he hadn't felt the old man's rising pressure behind his back. So, returning to the problem, he still needs to get these two away from each other as soon as possible. Neither Danny nor Bruce has a calm personality, and Jason didn't want to start Danny's acquaintance with Alfred by giving first aid to these dummies. “So what's all the fuss about? Are you like um.. Ivy's pet-pixie or what?”
Now John Constantine, who carefully watched the meeting from the sidelines, almost feels his blood pressure rising too. Compare faeries with garden pests. What was Batman's son thinking about, showing such disrespect? He wanted them to have more problems or what?
“Hm? Who is Ivy? I've never heard of her. To be honest, I'm only here because our gate was disturbed.” The fairy chirped angrily and, with a nervous flutter of his wings, flew up to the bushes. His finger pointed accusingly at the crushed mushrooms that John and Batsy had landed on when they unsuccessfully attacked Dr. Isley. “But even though your companions' behavior is inexcusable, I don't blame you, of course. I am glad that we met again because of this incident, Tagetes.”
The Faerie circle...John hadn't seen this in years. Damn Gotham. He difenetly doesn't want the problems of this crazy city to fall under his and Shazam's responsibility. Now it is clear why Rogue disappeared so quickly. She probably knew about it and wanted to make them someone else's problem. Damn it twice, John should have sent a message instead of coming to Gotham to discuss business with Wayne. Being uninvited guests of such mischievous and malicious hosts does not bode well.
“You are lucky that the Fright Knight is not on duty today. But someone will have to answer for it. Is it really so hard to look at your feet? Or is this a deliberate provocation? I demand an apology.”
“No, enough games for you. They're a little busy chasing someone, in case you didn't notice.” Jason starts pulling on his friend's hand, intending to take him out of the park. Next to these paranoids, it's better not to ask an old friend about anything. “Only good little fairies are invited to my safe house to taste my signature lasagna today, so stop trying to give my old man a heart attack, okay?”
“Wait. Is this Willis?” The fairy's eyes narrow and he looks at the cloaked dark figure with disapproval.
"No, another jerk. B has a problem with adoptions and that's the reason I'm now part of his brood." Jason reluctantly explains. "He literally dragged me off the streets without consent after I tried to take the tires off his car."
“Oh my Ancients, he did what?! But you're mine! He had no right to steal you.” Danny indignantly rustled the leaves of the closest trees.
“I prefer to be considered as my own man, thank you very much.”
“Riiight…but still, speaking absolutely one hundred percent theoretically, who would you rather stay with, darling? If only you were mine~”
“Ja-..Don't let yourself be fooled, Red Hood. You can't trust him. Ten or even fifty years spent on a prank don't mean anything to this creature.” Bruce doesn't look happy with how at ease Todd is with the threat, but frankly, he rarely looks happy at all, so the crime lord doesn't attach too much importance to it.
"Wow. Rude. This is partially true, but it still hurts. Jason is a friend. I won't do anything to him and I don't demand anything from him. I can't say that about the rest of you. I was preparing for a long-awaited vacation, and because of your fuss I have a new bunch of paperwork to do. What can you say in your defense?"
The boy with the snow-white hair didn't look really upset, but just because there was still a smile on his face, it couldn't be said that he wasn't furious. Next to fairies, all human senses became enemies, not allies.
Despite the deceptive good-naturedness of merrily fluttering his wings guy, John was on high alert. Short-tempered, playful and obnoxious temperament were both a blessing and a curse when working with these creatures. Fairies skillfully searched for loopholes in contracts and in general were the best deceivers among those who could only tell the truth. Faeries prefer to bend victims to their will with words, but they are skilled users of the magic of nature and chaos. They also, despite the business acumen as strong as the alligator's mouth closing strength, were willing to play cat-and-mouse with those who dared to turn to him for help or just walk near their possessions. And this specimen was also clearly not one of the fairies that Morningstar had taken over control, since his energy reeked of Infinite Realms. Unknown territory. John urgently needs to come up with some ingenious plan to get everyone out of this fighting safe and relatively unscathed and…
“Fuck off, B. I told you he already has my name. If he wanted to hurt me, he would have done it at any time. You should show more respect for your future son-in-law, you know.”
“Jason, honey, since when do street rats hang out with bats?” Danny obviously didn't have much sympathy for the Gotham vigilante before, but because of his story, their chances of getting along tended to zero.
“Oh, come on, don't even start this conversation. What is more important…Who would I rather stay with? Hm…Let's say, um, theoretically, of course…If your fiance was killed by one very very bad cruel clown, what would you do, Stardust?
"I would tear clown molecule by molecule."
“Yes, yes! Right!” Jason pats Danny on the shoulder and turns to Batman. “See, that's how you should have reacted.”
Constantine: …What an Addams family. I'm leaving. I've already seen enough. If you get kidnapped, don't call me. Damn freaks.

Soemthing about Opitmus' holoform and him just following you around doing domestic things just because
domestic fluff?? in this economy? hell yeah
cw: fluff, pinch of angst
word count: 710
Optimus longs to experience normalcy. Immersed in war, surrounded by the scent of spilled energon and the wails of wounded comrades... after so many years, such a cruel and unjust daily reality is bound to leave a mark, shift priorities, and force him into thinking always of others and never of himself. And so, even for a brief moment, he wishes to allow himself to be selfish. To focus on doing something that brings him joy. And it just so happens that his joy lies in being in your presence, getting to know you, spending time together on activities that, from a Cybertronian perspective, might seem trivial. Carefree. Yet he has distanced himself from such views.
He delights in discovering the hidden sides of you, the parts you don’t reveal at the base. They only emerge at home, in your sanctuary, where you show him another version of yourself. The first time he asked to accompany you home, you were surprised. You enjoyed spending time with him too and treasured your shared moments, but you weren’t sure if he was ready for the boredom that came with it. That saddened him, because he sincerely wanted to know your boredom, to see you from an angle unfamiliar to him. To understand humanity on a more intimate level. To experience what humanity truly is, stripped of philosophy, disengaged from the rat race, living in the moment. In its simplest form. The archivist who no longer existed stirred within him, curious, inquisitive, and hungry for knowledge of the unknown. For a fleeting moment, Optimus allowed him back into his spark.
And so, you let him. You invite him into your home and unveil yourself to him, shedding layer after layer. The first time, he is agitated, not stressed, but uneasy; afraid every movement might damage the furniture or the trinkets on the shelves. After all, he wouldn’t be able to repair them. Even while "being human," he betrays his true essence, unaccustomed to his new, smaller form. His title manifests even through the holoform. You have to take his hand and guide him to get him to move at all, for which he is deeply grateful.
He observes human boredom: washing dishes, doing laundry, preparing fuel (a meal, as you explained to him). You insist it’s dull, almost unworthy of his presence, but he is unwavering on this matter. He craves it. Wants to taste humanity, to see through your optics, even if just for a moment. Because he loves you and hungers to know everything about you, the good and the bad. The mundane and the thrilling. The most trivial and the profound. He needs honesty and openness. To know you trust him, for only then can he truly function.
You show him humanity through dancing, listening to music, and reading books. You let him season the meal, even though he doesn’t understand the purpose of the action. Allow him to water the plants while you share fascinating tidbits about each species. He never leaves your side, desperate for knowledge of your daily life. Becomes your shadow, intent on learning everything, who you truly are.
When you ask if he could read a book to you because you enjoy his voice, he agrees without hesitation, as he’s physically incapable of refusing you. Begins reading, and you rest your head on his lap, smiling as he tenses, trying to suppress his emotions. The words blur together as you start playing with the synthetic skin of his face, exploring with curiosity the false human that feels too real. You tell him you prefer his true form, his true self, and for the first time in his life, Optimus doesn’t know what to say, as no amount of experience could have prepared him for such raw honesty.
But this time, you allow him more. Let him feel the texture of your wet, freshly washed hair, touch damp skin, and dry your head with a towel. He sees you in your pajamas, even though the essence of fashion and clothing is largely unknown to him. Let him cuddle into you, to learn the sensation of closeness from a smaller perspective. And when you ask if he is satisfied with the human mundane, his answer remains unchanged.

Drift Baby
Kate Martin x Fem!Reader

MORE | NAVI
Summary: You just took first place like always car still purring. Kate Martin shows up outta nowhere, taller and finer than you remember, all that background noise fades.
Genre: Urban romance, fast burn, heated reconnection, queer tension
Word Count: ~ 1.9k
Warnings: Intense sexual tension, aggressive kissing, spit-heavy makeout, street racing culture, jealousy, power shifts, light possessiveness

Another win. Your tires scream before they still. Smoke kisses the pavement. Your doors lift smooth no need to slam anything, not when the car knows who’s driving her.
You step out like you own the night because you do. Just like clockwork, they come.
Boys in fitted hats and cracked smiles. Gold chains that glint but don’t shine right. Compliments you’ve heard a hundred times before—hell, maybe even from the same mouths.
“Damn, you always this fast?”
“Lemme ride with you next time.”
“Swear you was floatin’, ma.”
You nod. Smile just enough to keep the peace. They hang around like you might finally say yes, finally lean in, finally treat them like they matter.
But you don’t. You never do. Then you see her. Kate fucking Martin. The world shifts. Just a bit. Just enough.
She’s standing off to the side, like she don’t belong but refuses to act like it. Posture straight, arms crossed, blue eyes tracking every move you make like she’s still trying to figure you out. That little smirk of hers twitching, but not quite showing itself. Not yet.
You recognize the girl beside her immediately. Old scene rat. Used to run with you back in the day ‘til she got too greedy, too messy. One thing about snakes, they always slither back when they think you’re soft. She ain’t gettin’ shit from you but a look.
But Kate’s different. She’s taller now. Stronger. That athlete build filled out like a summer storm, shoulders like wings, legs for days, and hair swept back in a loose ponytail.
She looks like the same girl you used to pass notes to under the desk and race through the back roads with just to feel alive but older. Polished. Tighter. Finer.
The second your eyes land on her, the boys around you start seeing it. The way you go still. The way your smirk sharpens. The way you’re already walking over. They mutter. Watch. They’ve never seen you move like this for anyone, not once.
Not the way you circle her, slow and deliberate, like something that hunts because it enjoys it. Not the way your voice drops just for her.
“Mm… Kate Martin.” You let it roll off your tongue like you tasted it before. Like you remember the way she used to whisper your name back. “Now what are you doing out here?”
She doesn’t move. But her fingers tighten in the sleeves of her hoodie. Subtle. Submissive, almost. Like her body clocked you before her brain could catch up.
“This really your scene now?” she asks, trying to sound bored. Like she didn’t stare at your car for a solid minute before you caught her. Like her pulse isn’t jumping in her throat.
You grin, stepping in closer. “Nah. This been my scene baby. You just haven’t been around to see it.”
Behind you, the boys start talking louder. Laughing a little too hard. One of them even calls out, “Yo, who’s that?” like she’s not standing there with streetlight in her hair and that “I’m trying to behave” smirk growing on her lips.
You don’t look back. You don’t need to. She shifts her weight. Glances at the girl she came with who’s starting to realize you’re not just being flirty. You’re focused. Laser.
“You out here ridin’ with her?” you ask, tone dipped in casual venom as you nod toward her friend.
Kate lifts a brow. “Should I not be?”
You smile. Tilt your head.
“I mean, you could do worse. But baby…” You step in close enough for her to smell your perfume, voice dropping into a hush meant just for her. “You sure as hell could do better.”
Kate exhales. Her friend starts to say something, something passive aggressive and insecure, but Kate doesn’t respond. Doesn’t even look at her. Her attention is all on you now, just like it used to be.
“…you look good,” you say, the honesty slipping out like a secret.
There’s a flicker in her eyes. Not surprise recognition. Suddenly, it hits everyone watching like a gut punch: She didn’t just show up. She came back.
And whatever you two used to be? It wasn’t small. Now it looks like she’s here unannounced, unbothered, and somehow already won.
The boys start backing off, one by one. Ain’t no need for a fight. They lost before they even got in the ring. You’re too busy staring at her lips. She’s too busy smiling like she wants to ask if your passenger seat still remembers her weight.
You’re already pulling your keys from your back pocket, spinning them slow on your finger like bait.
“C’mon,” you say, walking backwards toward the car, eyes locked on hers. “Unless you got somethin’ better to do.”
Kate hesitates. Just for a second. Then she follows. Just like that, the game resets. She’s not lost. She’s home.

You drive like it’s nothing. Like you were born behind a wheel. One hand on the shift, the other resting easy on the wheel, thumb tapping to a beat only you can hear. The engine hums low, deep, satisfied. Your baby knows you just won. She’s riding the high right along with you.
Kate’s in the passenger seat, legs spread, hand brushing the door like she doesn’t quite know what to do with herself. Her eyes flick over the interior, lips parted like she’s about to ask something, then stops herself.
“You’ve upgraded,” she finally says, running her fingers across the dash. “Last time I was in your car, it stalled in the middle of 43rd.”
You laugh, smooth, eyes still on the road. “That car had character.”
“It had mold.”
“…character.”
She snorts, and you glance over can’t help it.
She’s still got that dimple when she smiles. The one you used to poke just to annoy her. The one you kissed once, late summer, when y’all snuck out and parked by the water and tried to pretend being seventeen didn’t hurt so much.
“You still a threat behind the wheel?” she asks after a beat.
You shrug. “I drive like I got nothing to prove and everything to protect. Ain’t reckless if you can see the crash coming.”
“Mhm.” Her eyes scan you from the side, soft and curious. “Still sound like a philosopher with a felony.”
You smirk. “Still sound like you like it.”
She doesn’t answer. Just shifts in her seat a little, thighs brushing together like she’s trying not to feel whatever this is between you. You keep your eyes on the road.
“You ever miss it?” you ask, casual, but your voice dips a little. “Back home. The neighborhood. Me.”
Silence. “…sometimes.” It’s soft. Barely there. “I think about the nights. How loud it used to be. And you. You were always louder.”
You laugh under your breath. “Was tryna make sure you didn’t forget me.”
“Didn’t work,” she says, too quick. Then adds, quieter, “I never forgot.”
The silence after that isn’t awkward. It’s weighty. Thick. Charged. The kind that only shows up when history’s creeping back into the front seat.
You reach forward, adjust the air without looking. Not ‘cause you need to, but because you need something to do with your hands.
Something that isn’t pulling the car over and asking her if she still thinks about your mouth. Your hands. That one night when she swore she’d come right back after school and never did.
“Why now?” you ask, eyes still on the road. “You didn’t come out here for her.”
“I didn’t know you’d be here,” she replies, then pauses. “But I was hoping.”
You glance at her again. This time she doesn’t look away.
That’s when it hits you, you’d do shit to this girl you wouldn’t say out loud. Not in this car. Not in this world you’ve built where vulnerability gets eaten alive. You’d peel the street open for her. Slow down for her. Drive backwards into hell if she asked soft enough.
But you don’t say any of that. You just breathe in, deep, eyes back on the night ahead.
“You hungry?” you ask, voice lower now. Steadier.
“Little bit.”
“Good. I know a spot.”
She doesn’t ask where. Doesn’t offer directions. Just leans back and lets you take her there.Like she never really left. Like you never really let her go.

You pull up to a corner spot with a faded sign and a flickering “Open Late” light buzzing above the door. A hole-in-the-wall with soul food and thick milkshakes and fries that’ll clog an artery but heal something deep.
It’s damn near empty. Quiet. Perfect. You kill the engine, let the car settle. But neither of you move.
She’s still looking at you. You can feel it like a spotlight on the side of your face. Heat rolling off her in waves. Her leg’s bouncing now. Not from nerves. From tension. That kind of restless ache you remember too well.
“Why you lookin’ at me like that?” you ask, voice low, teasing, but not joking.
A sharp inhale. She leans across the console, fists your jacket, and kisses the hell out of you.
It hits like a punch fast, messy, open-mouthed and unapologetic. Teeth. Tongue. Years of silence and stubbornness breaking loose all at once.
You groan into her mouth, hand sliding up her thigh so quick it makes her gasp. She tastes like gum. Like someone who’s been thinking about this too long and finally broke.
You grip the side of her neck, pull her closer, fuck the gearshift. She shifts over it like she was born to be here.
It’s not soft. It’s not slow. It’s hungry.
Nasty, even,slick, lips dragging, her fingers tugging your hoodie like she’s trying to climb into your skin.
You can feel her nails through the fabric. She’s kissing you like she wants to fight about it later. Like she’s mad it still feels this good.
You kiss her like you been waiting since the day she left. Like she owes you this breath. Like you need to memorize the inside of her mouth before she disappears again.
You don’t know how long it lasts. Could be seconds. Could be the length of a whole damn song. But eventually slowly; you both pull back. Breathing hard. Mouths red. Glossy.
She looks at you like she forgot what air felt like. You wipe your mouth with the back of your hand. She does the same.
Then you both sit there for a second, silent, wide-eyed, the echo of what just happened bouncing around the car like a bomb just went off.
“Well…that’s one way to say I missed you.” You exhale, let your head hit the seat. She laughs under her breath. Eyes hooded. Smirking.
“No shit.” You nod once, both of you still dazed, then open your door and climb out like nothing just happened. She follows, lips still parted, pupils still blown.
Inside, the diner’s quiet. Two older guys playing cards in the back. A waitress chewing gum and scrolling on her phone.
You slide into the booth first. Kate sits across from you, eyes still locked. Neither of you says anything for a beat.
Then she bites her bottom lip, smile creeping in again. “So… you gonna pretend that didn’t just happen?”
“I ain’t pretending shit.” You grin.

"Pretty When You Cry" - Jacaerys Velaryon

Modern!Jace x Girlfriend!Reader
Summary: Like all good things, your relationship with your boyfriend, Jacaerys, must come to a (bitter) end. You always knew he was 'trouble', but his turning to stronger substances was the final straw for you. Thinking you have seen the last of him, you slowly start to let go. Until one evening, a sad brown-eyed boy stands under your window.
Warnings: badboy!Jace; SMUT; alludes to smoking weed; substance abuse (very light, not detailed); bad language; fingering; slight angst; FLUFFY
Words: 9.7k
Notes: No physical description of the reader (other than she has hair). This smut is way softer compared to my others, but I kinda like it. Mentions them smoking weed together (once), but it doesn't mean I condone it (it just fits into the story).
𐔌 . ⋮ aera .ᐟ ֹ ₊ ꒱
You were a cold person—a real fortress of ice (or, in other words, a 'bitch'). Always had been. Keeping outsiders at arm’s length was second nature to you; the warmth of companionship felt unfamiliar and unwelcome. That’s why it was so damn weird when Jacaerys, that threat of a guy, somehow crept his way past your defences and cracked the surface of your rigid heart.
Everyone knew Jace was trouble. He was dressed in a leather jacket, had wild hair, and had a charming smile. He thrived on chaos, making a mess of everything and everyone he encountered.
But with you, it was different. There was a tenderness in the way he looked at you, a softness amidst all that hostility. You’d find yourselves huddled in the shadows of the school, sharing cigarettes like secrets, each drag pulling you deeper into his messy orbit. Weekends melted into hazy afternoons spent sprawled on his couch, escaping reality with thick clouds of smoke, giggles spilling from your lips as you blissfully ignored the ticking clock.
But like all sweet things, that honeymoon phase didn’t last. Soon, the thrill of getting high on weed wasn't enough for Jace; he craved something stronger, something that could drown the demons clawing at his insides. That’s when he started craving cocaine, seeking out dealers and new highs, convinced the world would be brighter on the other side. But it took only one wrong turn; one bad choice. He got caught, his friend’s betrayal cutting deeper than any blade when they ratted him out.
The weight of that reality crashed down on you like a ton of bricks. Breaking it off was like tearing flesh from bone, but staying was not an option. You couldn’t tether your soul to a sinking ship. You felt hollow, your heart twisting painfully in your chest as you abandoned the love you once thought could save him. Sure, it hurt like hell, but you understood that you had to protect yourself. You had your own battles to fight, and getting lost in his darkness would only bury you in the ruins of his choices.
With a weary sigh, you flopped onto your bed, staring at old photos that felt like ghosts from another life. Each smile captured in those pictures stung with nostalgia—memories now laced with an ache that wouldn’t fade. You scrolled through them, pain blossoming in your chest as you clicked delete, one after another, feeling like pieces of yourself were vanishing along with them.
Just as silence threatened to suffocate the room, it shattered with a sharp ping against your window. Irritated, you shot up, heart racing. Those pesky crows made trouble every night, and here they were again. But then another pebble hit, and again—this was getting ridiculous. Who the hell was out there? It was nearly midnight, for crying out loud.
“Oh my God!” you groaned, rolling your eyes as you yanked open the window. A pebble narrowly missed your head, landing with a soft thud on your bed. “Stop! I have a bat! And trust me, I will use it if I have to!” Your voice carried a tinge of annoyance but an undertone of curiosity behind your words.
“Wait! No! I’m sorry, just listen to me,” came the soft, pleading voice that made your heart stutter. You froze, disbelief crashing over you like a wave. It was Jacaerys, and you hadn’t heard that voice in months—months that felt like an eternity. His parents had sent him to an inpatient treatment centre outside the city.
Your mouth hung open, breath hitching in your throat. “Jace…” you whispered, a flood of emotions washing over you. “You’re back.” The simple words felt loaded, heavy with the weight of everything unspoken between you two—the love, the hurt, the wreckage of what once was.
Everything you thought you had pushed away surged back up, a mix of joy, anger, and longing swirling like a violent storm inside you. Your heart raced with uncertainty, the possibility of fresh pain coursing through your veins. You stood there, teetering on the edge, wondering if this moment would lead you back to paradise or into the depths of despair.
"Can I come up?" His voice was soft and hesitant, a stark contrast to the insolence you used to know. It felt foreign, almost shaky, and it sent a wave of tension crashing over you. You paused, biting your lip as a million questions swirled in your mind. Had he changed, or was this just a façade? But deep down, you could no longer deny it—the way your heart betrayed you, ached with longing for the boy you once knew.
“Yeah, yeah… sure,” you managed to whisper, your voice so faint it was almost lost to the night. The moment the words escaped your lips, you felt a rush of adrenaline and fear. Jacaerys climbed the trellis with practised ease, his movements almost instinctual.
When he finally stood before you, the sight sent a chill racing down your spine. Those dark circles under his eyes. The bruise on his cheek was a sickening shade of purple. And that cut on his lip? It brought back memories of all the times he had worn his pain-like armour, too proud to let anyone see him break.
Before you could muster a single question, before you could voice the countless thoughts that flooded your mind, he pulled you into a tight embrace that stole the breath from your lungs. His body was cold against yours, sending tingles across your skin, and it took everything in your power not to shiver. You hugged him back fiercely, almost desperate, burying your face into the crook of his neck.
He smelled like pine trees and the faintest hint of cigarettes—familiar and intoxicating. It was a scent that wrapped around you like a comforting blanket, despite the chill of reality. All the memories rushed back, the laughter, the secrets shared in the dark, and the way he used to make everything seem okay, if only for a moment. You felt the weight of unresolved feelings crash over you, the longing too powerful to fight anymore. In that moment, it was just the two of you against the world, and it felt both terrifying and achingly perfect.
Jacaerys held you tightly, his heart pounding wildly against your chest, the rapid thumping echoing in the heavy silence around you. It was a physical reminder of everything that had brought him back to this moment. He could feel the heat radiating from your body, the softness of your curves pressed against him, and it took him back to all the nights he had spent longing for your closeness, wishing he could turn back time. Taking a deep breath, he inhaled your familiar scent—sweet and grounding—letting it envelop him like a warm blanket in the cold void of his regrets.
"I've missed you," he murmured into your hair, voice thick with emotion. Each word felt like a confession, raw and vulnerable, stripping away the armour he usually wore. "More than you'll ever know."
He sensed you tremble ever so slightly in his arms, and an urgency surged through him. He tightened his grip as if you could slip through his fingers at any moment. He understood that you had every right to be furious, to push him away, and yet, he clung to the fragile hope that a flicker of affection still resided within you, that somewhere beneath the pain, there was still space for him.
"I'm sorry," he continued, his voice barely above a whisper, as though saying it louder might shatter the moment. "I'm sorry for everything. For hurting you, for making you feel… God, I can't even imagine the kind of pain I put you through. But I swear to you, I’m going to make this right. I'm going to fix this, fix us. If you'll let me."
He pulled back slightly, his heart racing as he searched your eyes, desperately seeking any sign that you still cared. In the depths of your gaze, he saw layers of pain, confusion, and simmering anger, but there was something else lurking beneath the surface. It ignited a flicker of determination within him.
"Please," he urged, desperation dripping from his words, his voice cracking with vulnerability. "Just give me a chance to explain. A chance to show you that I can be better… for you."
He reached up, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear with a tenderness that felt almost sacred. He watched as goosebumps rose on your skin, a testament to the electric current sparking between you. Leaning in, he brushed his lips against yours in a soft touch, but kissing you yet.
He pulled back, eyes locked on yours, his breath hitching in his throat as he waited. He needed your answer, your next move. The silence hung heavy around you, a fragile moment suspended in time, and he dared to hope, praying that you still felt something for him.
"I missed you too," you whisper, your voice quivering. With shaking hands, you reach out to touch his hair, needing to feel the proof of his presence. "Every day…every single day," you choke back a sob, leaning your forehead against his. Your fingers tangle in his soft brown curls, a familiar comfort.
Your heart aches as you take in his appearance. He looks different, the light in his eyes dimmed. What did they do to him in that centre? You want to ask, but the words stick in your throat. Instead, you hold him tighter, breathing in his scent, letting it wash over you like a balm.
You don't know what the future holds, but at this moment, you know one thing for sure - you have never stopped loving him, no matter how hard you have tried.
Jacaerys felt your fingers tangling in his hair, grounding him amidst the disorder swirling inside. It was a connection he craved, raw and vital—like air, like life.
"I'm here now," he murmured, his voice low, heavy with sincerity. "And I’m not going anywhere this time."
He lifted his head, locking eyes with you, and the intensity of his gaze felt electric. "What happened… what I did… it won't happen again. I swear it on my life. I’ve finally started to grasp who I am, what I’ve lost, what I can’t afford to lose again."
His hands found your face, thumbs brushing over your cheekbones in a way that felt like both a promise and a plea. "You matter. More than anything else in this messed-up world. I was lost before, but every step I take now is bringing me back to you."
He could see the tears welling in your eyes, ready to spill over, and it twisted his insides. The sight of your hurt, knowing he was the reason behind it, was a weight he had to carry. But right now, as you clung to him with a desperation that echoed his own, he vowed fiercely that he would never be the cause of your pain again.
"Shh," he soothed, brushing his thumb gently across your cheek, a tender attempt to wipe away the heartache. "I know I hurt you. I messed up. God, I messed up so badly. But I promise—I'm going to be the man you deserve. The man I should’ve been all along."
He pulled you closer, wrapping his arms around you like a stronghold, desperate to shield you from the world’s cruelty. At this moment, it felt like the air around you was dense with possibility, your broken pieces finally finding their match in each other. He poured everything he had into that embrace, pouring out a torrent of feelings he hoped you'd understand without him needing to say them.
"I love you," he whispered, each word hanging in the space between you like a confession, a truth he could no longer keep buried. "I never stopped loving you. Not for a single damn second."
His heart raced as he leaned in, his lips tantalizingly close to yours, hungering for that connection. He wanted to lose himself in your kiss, to drown in everything that was you, but he held back, desperate for your consent, your willing embrace. His body thrummed with electric anticipation, but he forced himself to wait, needing you to take that leap with him.
"My sweet boy," you murmured, your voice cracking slightly as you leaned in closer, brushing your lips against his forehead. The warmth of his skin beneath your touch sent a comforting flutter through your chest, but the sight of his bruised face twisted your heart. You placed your hand gently on his cheek, fingers trembling slightly as you traced the outline of his face, lingering on the cut that marred his plump lower lip. It was red and swollen, a stark reminder of whatever he had been through.
"What happened?" The question slipped from your lips, heavy with concern and a desperate need to understand. You searched his eyes, those deep pools that were usually so full of life now clouded with shadows. Each second that passed without an answer felt like a knife twisting in your gut. You couldn’t help but feel the weight of the months apart pressing down on you; the world had felt so hollow without him.
Even after all this time, your feelings hadn’t dulled—they had only grown sharper, fueled by the fear of losing him again. You wanted to wrap him in your arms and shield him from every pain, every fight. He had come back, against all odds. For you. Because of you. The thought was both a balm and a burden. The intimacy of the moment hung heavily in the air—a fragile mix of relief and anxiety, love and unspoken fear. You wanted to protect him, to erase the hurt from his past, but you feared that you weren’t enough.
As you looked at him, your heart ached with the need to defy every obstacle that had pulled you apart. You could see that it scared him, too—the possibility of falling back into the darkness. You drew in a shaky breath, your thumb brushing over his lip again as if your touch could somehow erase the pain he was feeling. "Please, just tell me," you whispered, your voice barely above a breath. "I’ll be right here, I promise." The weight of your words hung between you as you tried to bridge the insurmountable distance.
At that moment, the world outside faded, leaving just the two of you caught in the chaos of emotions—anguish mixing with an undeniable spark of love that danced in your hearts. But despite the love, the turmoil of his silent suffering threatened to unravel everything you held dear. And you would do anything to keep that from happening.
Jacaerys felt the warmth of your touch on his marred lip, a jolt of electricity firing through him that made him close his eyes. He leaned into your caress, every featherlight brush igniting a craving he'd been nursing for months. Your gentle touch, the loving concern in your gaze—it was everything he’d been missing. Shame and relief danced inside him like a twisted waltz, and he couldn’t decide which one was winning.
When you asked about the bruises, he opened his eyes, suddenly feeling exposed. The vulnerability in his gaze must have struck you, and it unnerved him. Taking a deep breath, he steeled himself, knowing you deserved the truth—raw and unfiltered.
“It was a fight,” he finally admitted, his voice rough and jagged, like he was scraping it off the floor. “They threw me in detention, and some guy didn’t like that I was new. He decided he needed to make an example of me.”
There was a pause, thick with unspoken words, as he swallowed hard. It was easier to share the physical pain than the emotional weight he'd been carrying.
“But that’s not all,” he continued, his voice barely above a whisper. “They made us go through these intense therapy sessions—group and individual. I had to face everything I’ve done, all the areas where I’ve messed up. It hurt like hell, but it was necessary. I realized just how much I’d hurt you… and how much I’ve hurt myself. I couldn’t keep running from my problems; they all caught up with me there.”
His hand found yours, fingers intertwining like they were made to fit together. He needed that connection, that anchor. “I know I can’t change the past. Believe me, I wish I could. But I’m determined to change the future. I want to be the man you deserve, the man I was always meant to be. I’m committed to my sobriety, to making things right, to being better—better for you, for us.”
He took a moment to gather his thoughts, trying to find the right way to lay it all out. “And I need you. I need you like I need air. Without you, I’m lost. You’ve always been my anchor.”
His eyes searched yours, desperately seeking any sign of hope, any glimmer that could tell him you still believed in him. “I love you,” he confessed, the raw honesty crashing over him like a wave. “I love you more than words can ever say. I know I don’t deserve a second chance, but if you give it to me, I swear I'll spend the rest of my life making it up to you.”
There was a moment of silence, the weight of everything he’d said hanging between you like a fragile thread, and he prayed it would hold.
"You kept my clothes?" Jacaerys repeated, the words sinking in slowly. His heart thudded against his ribs, a sudden rush of emotions sparking through him. The idea that you had held onto something so personal, a tangible piece of him, even after everything… it was overwhelming in the best possible way.
You nodded silently, still looking through your closet.
"You must have cared more than you let on," he murmured, taking a tentative step towards you. "All this time, I thought… I thought you'd moved on, that I'd pushed you away for good…"
He watched as you rifled through your closet, searching for something for him to wear. The action was so mundane, yet it spoke volumes about the depth of your feelings. You were still taking care of him, even now, even after all the pain he'd caused.
"Thank you," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion as he watched you pull out a shirt and boxers from the closet. "Thank you for keeping them… for keeping a piece of me."
He hesitated before adding, "And thank you for giving me a chance to prove myself. I won't let you down again."
As you handed him the shirt, Jacaerys took it with shaky hands, the fabric reminding him of happier times. He looked at you, his eyes reflecting a world of sorrow and hope. "I'll change in the bathroom," he said quietly.
"Wait," you blurted out, the words escaping before you could catch them. Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment as you realised what you had said. "I mean… you're dirty from your climb. You should take a bath."
You huffed, feeling the heat of his gaze linger just a little too long, making your heart race. It felt awkward after a long time apart. "Let me get it ready for you," you mumbled, slipping past him into the small bathroom that smelled faintly of lavender.
Inside, you turned on the hot water, listening to the comforting splash as it filled the tub. You grabbed a bag of vanilla-scented Epsom salts, letting the soft grains pour into the water. The sweet aroma enveloped you, mixing with the steam rising from the tub, and for a moment, the outside world faded away.
Leaning against the sink, you allowed your thoughts to drift to Jacaerys. He was so close, yet so far away, and the tension in the air was almost tangible. Despite your earlier awkwardness, warmth blossomed within you—this was the closest you’d been in months, sharing this quiet, intimate moment.
Jacaerys watched you retreat into the bathroom, his heart pounding in his chest as he processed your words. A bath… the intimacy of it wasn't lost on him. It was a gesture of care, of wanting to take care of him, even in such a small way.
He followed you into the bathroom, leaning against the doorframe as he watched you prepare the bath. The scent of vanilla filled the air, soothing and comforting. It reminded him of lazy Sunday mornings spent tangled in sheets, enjoying the warmth of your embrace.
"You don't have to do this," he said, his voice gentle. "I can manage on my own."
But even as he spoke the words, he knew he wanted you to stay. Wanted to feel your presence, your care, even if it was just in this simple act.
"Unless… unless you want to stay," he added quickly, a flicker of vulnerability crossing his face. "If you're comfortable with it, that is. I'd like that. Your company, I mean."
He crossed his arms, suddenly feeling self-conscious under your gaze. "But only if you're okay with it," he added hastily. "No pressure or anything. I just… I miss being close to you, even like this."
The tub was nearly full, steam rising in delicate tendrils to caress your skin. Jacaerys watched you, his eyes dark with a mix of longing and uncertainty. The silence stretched between you.
You paused for a moment, letting his request sink in. Back when you two were wrapped up in each other, it would have been the most natural thing in the world to say yes—no hesitation, no second-guessing. But now, standing at the doorframe, he felt like a stranger, a different version of the man you once knew, his tired eyes revealing a world of unspoken guilt.
“Yeah,” you replied, choosing to listen to your heart instead of reason. You turned off the tap, and the sound of the water ceasing felt louder than it should. As you faced him fully, the steam from the bathroom curled around you like a ghost, making the space feel intimate yet daunting. You hadn’t even taken the first step to undress, but already, that familiar feeling of vulnerability washed over you like warm water. It was as if your skin was made of glass, leaving you exposed and vulnerable.
He watched as you turned off the tap, the sudden silence punctuating the air. The steam from the bathwater created an almost ethereal atmosphere, the mist swirling around you like a protective shield. He could see the uncertainty in your eyes, the moment of hesitation that betrayed your true feelings. It made his heart ache, knowing that he had put that look there—the look of a person who had been hurt and was now wary of trusting again.
"You don't have to," he said, his voice soft yet firm. "If you're not comfortable, it's okay. Really. I can handle it on my own."
He took a step forward, reaching out to touch your arm gently. "I won't push you. I know I've done enough of that already. But if you do want to stay, if you want to be close, I'd like that. I'd like it more than you know."
He searched your face, looking for any sign of your true emotions. "We don't have to rush anything. We can take it slow. One step at a time. Whatever you're comfortable with."
Jacaerys realised that he was holding his breath, waiting for your response. He wanted to assure you, to make you feel safe and secure, but he also knew that words alone wouldn't be enough. Only actions could prove his sincerity, his commitment to being the man you deserved.
He offered you a small smile, that barely touched his eyes but held a world of hope.
"I want to… I'm just— I feel shy," you admitted softly, your gaze dropping to the floor. It felt strange to be so exposed in front of him after all this time, memories flooding back. The first time your bare forms had intertwined in the soft glow of the evening light, you had both whispered sweet nothings, the air thick with a blend of naiveness and excitement.
With a deep breath, you decided it was time to bridge that gap. As you reached down to untie your pyjama shorts, the fabric slipped away from your hips, pooling at your feet. The cool air made every nerve ending alive with anticipation. You stepped out of them, now standing only in your soft lace underwear and a white tank top that draped lightly over your figure.
You could feel the warmth of his gaze on you, a mix of admiration and something deeper, causing a flutter in your stomach. The room held a quiet intimacy, filled with the soft sounds of your breathing and the faint rustle of fabric as you moved. A smile crept onto your lips, remembering those moments of gentle exploration where every touch felt electric, and every word of praise hung in the air like a shared secret.
Jacaerys felt his breath catch in his throat as he watched you disrobe, the vulnerability of the moment seizing him. The sight of you, standing there in your lace undies and soft tank top, was almost too much to bear. Memories flooded back, images of your skin under his fingertips, the taste of your lips, the sound of your moans… he had to physically shake himself to keep from drowning in the past.
He took a step towards you, his gaze roaming over your form, drinking in every curve, every dip, every inch of you. A warmth spread through him, a longing so intense it bordered on pain. His hands ached to touch you, to feel your smooth skin beneath his fingertips, but he held himself back. This moment was about rebuilding trust, about showing you that he could be gentle, patient, and everything you needed.
Slowly, reverently, he reached out to trail a finger along your collarbone, marvelling at the softness of your skin. "You're beautiful," he breathed, his voice husky. "Always have been, always will be."
He looked into your eyes, his own dark with desire and something deeper, something that spoke of love and yearning and a desperate need to make things right. "Thank you," he whispered, his finger tracing a gentle path down to your shoulder.
There was a moment of silence, heavy with tension and possibility. The air between you felt charged, electric, like a live wire ready to spark at the slightest touch. Jacaerys held his breath, waiting for you to make the next move, wanting to follow your lead, to show you that he respected your comfort and your desires.
The room suddenly felt too small, too intimate. It was full of nostalgia and anticipation, a bittersweet cocktail that left him dizzy with want and need and a desperate, aching hope.
Hesitantly at first, and slowly, you leaned in, feeling the warmth radiating off him. Your heart raced as you captured his lips in a soft kiss, the world around you fading into a gentle blur. Your lips moved together, soft and lingering, as a spark ignited between you. You felt his hair, silky and slightly tousled, slipping between your fingers as you tangled your hands in it, drawing him closer. The weight of his body against yours sent a thrill through you, the two of you fitting together like pieces of a puzzle.
Jacaerys' heart raced as he felt your lips against his, the warmth of your breath mingling with his own. The kiss was soft, gentle, a perfect reflection of the moment—fragile and new, yet filled with the promise of something more. It was a kiss that whispered of hope and possibility, of a future where maybe, just maybe, they could find their way back to each other.
His hands found your waist, fingers splaying across your skin like he was trying to memorize every inch of you. He pulled you closer, wanting to erase the distance between you, to feel your body flush against his. It was a need that went beyond the physical, a desperate longing to reconnect, to find that missing piece of himself that had always fit so perfectly with you.
After what felt like an eternity, you reluctantly pulled back just enough to look into his eyes, those deep pools reflecting a mixture of warmth and curiosity. “The bath will get cold soon,” you said softly, a playful smile tugging at your lips while your fingers brushed through his curls, enjoying the way they curled around your fingertips.
He was breathless, his eyes dark with desire and something that spoke of love and longing and a fierce protectiveness. He watched as you smiled, your fingers brushing through his curls, and he couldn't help but lean into your touch.
At the mention of the bath, he chuckled softly, his hand sliding down to find yours, intertwining your fingers together. "You're right," he murmured, his thumb brushing over your knuckles. "We should… we should get in before it gets cold."
He hesitated for a moment, his gaze searching your face, looking for any sign of hesitation or discomfort. When he found none, he took a deep breath and nodded, giving your hand a gentle squeeze. "Together?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper, the question hanging in the air between you, heavy with meaning and possibility.
"Do you want to?" you asked in a timid voice, your heart racing as you braced yourself for the possibility of rejection. The gentle press of his lips against yours had reignited feelings you thought you had buried deep within yourself, and the warmth of his touch reminded you of everything you had been trying to suppress for far too long.
You had already taken off your shorts, the fabric pooling around your feet, thinking that he’d want nothing more than to be close to you in this intimate moment. Yet, now, standing before him in just your shirt and underwear, your heart thudded harder with uncertainty. His eyes searched yours, and you could feel the weight of the question lingering in the air, casting a shadow of nervousness over your excitement.
You couldn't help but feel a bit silly, second-guessing yourself, even though every part of you craved to close that distance and dive into the warmth of his embrace.
Jacaerys' heart clenched at the wavering in your voice, the hesitation that coloured your words. He could see the vulnerability in your eyes, the way you were bracing yourself for rejection, and it made him want to pull you close, to hold you close and never let go.
"Yes," he said softly, his voice thick with emotion. "More than anything."
He reached out, his hand cupping your cheek, his thumb grazing over your bottom lip. "I want to be close to you. In every way possible."
He leaned in, his forehead resting against yours, his eyes closing as he savoured the moment. "I know I've hurt you," he whispered, his breath mingling with yours.
His hands slid up your sides, his fingers skimming over your ribs, your waist, until they came to rest on your shoulders. He gazed into your eyes, his own dark with desire and something deeper, something that spoke of love and longing and a desperate need to make things right.
"I want to be with you," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. "In the bath, in bed, wherever you'll have me. I just… I need to be close to you. I need to feel you, touch you, love you."
The sincerity in his voice was palpable, the honesty in his eyes unwavering. He was giving you control, putting your comfort and your desires first. It was a stark contrast to the man he had been before, and it made your heart ache with the knowledge that he had changed, that he was trying to be better.
The room felt charged with tension. The steam from the bath wafted around you both, creating a hazy, dreamlike atmosphere. The soft glow of the bathroom light cast a warm, gentle light over your skin, making you feel frail and vulnerable.
You just nodded in response. No need for words with unspoken understanding. Your fingers danced softly down to the hem of his shirt, tugging it, hinting for him to take it off. A little smirk threatened to slip out as you remembered all the times you had been here before.
Jacaerys wasted no time, flipping his shirt off with an urgency that made you chuckle. There was something so endearing about the way he was always so eager. You turned your back to him, pulling your tank top off slowly, fully aware that you were teasing him. The air felt cold against your skin, but the warmth of his gaze surrounded you.
When you spun back around, you caught him standing there, completely captivated. He was like a painting of desire, his eyes wide and filled with admiration as he took in the sight of you. Without thinking, he hurriedly worked at his belt, the metal buckle clinking softly in the quiet room. His jeans dropped to the floor, leaving him standing there in nothing but his boxers, his erection straining against the fabric.
He stepped towards you, his hands reaching out to cup your face, his thumbs brushing over your cheeks. "You're so beautiful," he murmured, his voice rough with desire. "So perfect."
His lips found yours in a searing kiss, his tongue delving into your mouth, tasting you, claiming you. He walked you backwards until your legs hit the edge of the bathtub, his hands sliding down your sides, your hips, your thighs.
He broke the kiss, his breath coming in ragged gasps. "I need you," he rasped, his eyes dark with desire. "I need to be inside you, to feel you."
His hands slid down to your hips, thumbs hooking into the waistband of your panties. He looked up at you, his eyes dark with desire, seeking permission. "Can I?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
When you nodded, his hands hooked into the waistband of your panties, tugging them down your legs, his fingers trailing over your skin as he went, your breath hitching. He stepped back, his gaze raking over your naked form, his cock throbbing in response.
"Get in the bath," he commanded softly, his voice thick with need. "I'll join you in a minute."
He turned away, giving you a moment of privacy as he quickly shed his boxers. When he turned back around, he was completely naked, his erection jutting proudly from his hips. You bite back a grin upon seeing the effect you still had on him.
He stepped into the bath, the warm water enveloping him like a blanket. He leaned back against the tub, pulling you into his lap, your back pressed against his chest, your head resting on his shoulder.
Your eyes fluttered closed as you melted into his embrace, enjoying having him close yet again. His pale torso is marred with purple and green bruises, but they didn't hurt, not when he was with you anyway.
Carefully, you turn your head to face him, littering his neck in soft kisses and bites, soothing them with your tongue. His skin tastes salty, filling your senses. You press yourself against him tighter, your breasts flattening against his chest, nipples hardening in the cool air. His hands slide over your hips, his fingers digging into your flesh, pulling you impossibly closer.
"I missed this," you murmur, your lips brushing against his ear. "Missed being close to you."
Jacaerys groaned softly as your lips found his neck, your teeth grazing his skin. The sensation sent shivers down his spine, his cock twitching against your back. He tilted his head to the side, giving you better access, his hands sliding up your sides, his thumbs brushing over your nipples.
"I missed this too," he rasped, his voice rough with desire. "Missed holding you, touching you, tasting you."
He rolled his hips, grinding his hard length against your ass, the water sloshing around you both. His hands slid down to your thighs, lifting you slightly, his cock nestling between your legs, the head brushing against your clit.
The sensation made your core tighten, your inner walls clenching around nothing, a silent moan escaping your parted lips. You could feel the heat of him. Your breath hitched, your heart racing as he teased you, his cock rubbing against your most sensitive spot.
"Jacaerys," you breathed, your voice trembling with need. "Please…"
"I want you," he growled, his teeth nipping at your earlobe. "Want to be inside you, want to make you scream my name."
His hand slid between your legs, his fingers finding your slick folds, stroking you slowly, teasingly. "You're so wet," he murmured, his voice filled with awe. "So ready for me."
"Tell me what you want," he whispered against your lips, his eyes dark with desire. "Tell me how you want me to make you feel."
His fingers toyed with your clit, rubbing slow circles around the sensitive nub. Your hips bucked against his hand, seeking more of his touch. "That's it, baby," he encouraged, his voice low and husky. "Ride my fingers. Get yourself ready for my cock."
He continued to rub your clit, his other hand sliding down to tease your entrance. He circled your opening with his finger, gathering the wetness that had gathered there. "Fuck, you're so wet," he groaned, pushing one finger inside you, then two. He pumped them in and out, curling them to hit that special spot inside you.
Your head fell back against his shoulder, a moan escaping your lips as he worked you open for him. Fuck, no one had touched you like this in months. Not after him. And your fingers never felt this good.
You were already embarrassingly close to the edge, his fingers making you mad with pleasure. "Oh, fuck, just like that," you whimpered, eyes screwing shut.
His fingers curled inside you, hitting that spot that made your toes curl. You could feel the pressure building, your thighs trembling, your core tightening around his digits.
Jacaerys groaned as he felt your walls tighten around his fingers, your moans filling the steamy bathroom. He could tell you were close, your body trembling with need. He wanted to push you over the edge, to make you come undone in his arms.
"That's it, baby," he rasped, his fingers pumping faster, harder. "Come for me. Let go."
His other hand slid up to your breast, pinching and rolling your nipple between his fingers. The dual sensations were too much, and with a cry of his name, you came, your gummy walls clamping down around his fingers, your juices coating his hand.
He held you through it, his fingers slowing their movements as you rode out the waves of your orgasm. "Fuck, you're so beautiful when you come," he murmured, pressing a kiss to your neck.
As you started to come down from your high, he slowly withdrew his fingers from your dripping core. He brought them to his lips, sucking your essence from his digits, his eyes locked on yours. "Delicious," he purred, his voice low.
He turned you around in his lap, your knees bracketing his hips. His cock was hard and heavy against your stomach, the head leaking pre-cum. "I need to be inside you," he growled, his hands gripping your hips. "Need to feel you wrapped around me."
He reached between your bodies, grasping his shaft and lining it up with your entrance. You bit your lip as you felt his blunt tip breaching your tight heat, thighs trembling with anticipation.
With a slow, deliberate thrust, Jacaerys pushed forward, his thick cock stretching you open, filling you inch by delicious inch. You gasped at the intrusion, your walls fluttering around him, adjusting to his size. He groaned at the sensation, his eyes rolling back in his head. "Fuck, you feel so good," he rasped, his voice strained with pleasure. "So tight, so perfect."
He held himself still for a moment, letting you get used to the feeling of him inside you.
Your eyes rolled back in your head as Jacaerys pushed his thick cock deeper inside you. "Ahh, fuck!" you whined, your lips quivering with pleasure. You even couldn't wait for him to move, your hips starting to roll impatiently over his shaft.
"You feel so good, Jace," you mumbled, your mind going blank as you focused solely on the sensation of him stretching you open. "So big in me." You started bouncing on his cock, needing to feel more of him, to be ruined by him.
The water sloshed around you as you rode him, some of it spilling onto the bathroom floor. But you didn't care, lost in the feeling of him filling you, satisfying me. Your nails dug into his shoulders, your breath coming in ragged gasps.
Jacaerys groaned as you started to bounce on his cock, your tight heat engulfing him, squeezing him tight. "Fuck," he growled, his hands gripping your hips hard enough to leave bruises. "You feel so fucking good."
He thrust up to meet your movements, his hips snapping forward, driving his cock deeper into your welcoming heat. The water splashed around you both, the sound mixing with your moans and his grunts.
"That's it, baby," he urged, his voice raspy with desire. "Ride my cock. Take what you need."
His hands slid up your body, cupping your breasts, his thumbs brushing over your nipples. He pinched and rolled the sensitive buds between his fingers, sending jolts of pleasure straight to your core.
Your nails dug into his shoulders, your head thrown back in ecstasy as you chased your release. "Jace," you moaned, your voice high and needy. "Please, I need… I need…"
"Yeah? Use your words, baby," he rasped, his hips pistoning upwards, his cock hitting that spot inside you that made you see stars.
You couldn't believe how incredible it felt to have Jacaerys' thick cock stretching your tight, wet pussy again. He filled you up so perfectly, hitting all the right spots deep inside. Each powerful thrust made your toes curl, your walls clenching around his shaft.
"Oh fuck, Jace!" You cried out, your nails raking down his back. "Your cock feels so fucking good inside me! Don't stop!"
You rode him hard and fast, your tits bouncing with each movement. The obscene sounds of pleasure and water splattering on the floor echoed off the bathroom tiles. You could feel your orgasm building, your clit throbbing with need.
"Mmm yeah, just like that," you moaned, grinding your hips down.
You threw your head back, your hair flying as you lost yourself in the intense pleasure.
Jacaerys groaned as you rode him harder, your tight pussy gripping his cock like a vice. "Fuck," he grunted, his hips snapping up to meet your downward thrusts. "My pretty girl," Jace groaned possessively.
He leaned forward, capturing one of your bouncing nipples in his mouth, sucking and nibbling on the sensitive bud. His hands gripped your ass, fingers digging into the soft flesh as he helped guide your movements, urging you to take him deeper.
"That's it, baby," he growled against your skin, his voice muffled by your breast.
Jacaerys felt like he was losing his mind with pleasure, your tight cunt squeezing his cock so perfectly. He wanted to fuck you forever, to never stop feeling you wrapped around him.
"Fuck, your pussy feels like heaven," he groaned, his hips slamming up to meet yours. "So fucking tight and wet for me. You love my cock, don't you? Love feeling me stretch you open?"
"Yes!" You cry out, your voice echoing off the bathroom tiles. "I love your cock so fucking much!"
Your hips move wildly on top of him, your cunt clenching around his thick shaft. It's like your body remembers him, remembers how perfectly he fills you up. You missed this so much, missed the way he makes you feel, the way he touches you like he owns me. Cause, after all, he was made for you and you for him.
You look down at him, your eyes glazed over with pleasure, your lips parted in a silent moan. "Fuck, Jace," you pant, your nails pressing into his shoulders. "Your cock is stretching me so good. I'm so fucking close."
Jacaerys groaned at your words, his cock throbbing inside you, the tight heat of your pussy driving him wild. "Fuck," he growled, his hips slamming up to meet yours, driving his cock deep inside you. "You take my cock so well, baby. Like you were made for me."
He leaned forward, capturing your lips in a searing kiss, his tongue delving into your mouth, tasting you. His hands gripped your hips, guiding your movements, urging you to ride him harder, faster.
"I love feeling you wrapped around me," he rasped against your lips. "Love knowing that I'm the only one who gets to make you feel this good."
His release was building, his balls tightening, his cock pulsing inside you. He was close, so fucking close. But he held back, wanting to feel you come first, wanting to give you the pleasure you deserved, wanting to feel your pussy clenching around him as you screamed his name.
Jacaerys' mind was consumed with lust, his thoughts swirling with filthy images of you. He imagined bending you over the bathroom counter, fucking you from behind as he watched your ass bounce with each thrust. He pictured you on your knees, your pretty lips wrapped around his cock as he fed you his length, your eyes watering as he hit the back of your throat.
He wanted to mark you, to claim you as his own. He wanted to leave his fingerprints on your hips, bite marks on your neck, proof that you belonged to him and him alone.
You could feel your second release approaching, your velvety walls spasming wildly around his thick shaft, your hips bucking against his. "I'm so close," you whined in a high-pitched voice, your head falling forward as you lost yourself in the overwhelming pleasure.
Your mind was consumed with lust, your thoughts swirling with filthy images of Jacaerys. You imagined him pounding into you harder, faster, his hips slapping against your ass with each powerful thrust. You pictured him flipping you over, taking you from behind, his fingers digging into the soft flesh of your hips as he claimed you, marking you as his own.
You wanted to feel him everywhere, to be filled by him completely. You craved the sensation of his hot seed spilling inside you, marking you, claiming you. You wanted to be his, body and soul, to belong to him in every way possible.
Your nails raked down his back, leaving red lines in their wake as you urged him on, desperate for more, for everything he had to give. "Please, Jace," you begged, your voice ragged with need. "Make me cum. I need it. I need you."
Jacaerys groaned as he felt your pussy clench around his cock, your walls fluttering and spasming as you neared your release. "That's it, baby," he growled, his hips slamming up to meet yours, driving his cock deep inside you. "Cum for me. Cum on my fucking cock."
He leaned forward, capturing your lips in a searing kiss, swallowing your moans as you rode him harder, faster. His hands gripped your hips, guiding your movements, urging you to take him deeper, to milk his cock for all it was worth.
"Fuck, you're so tight," he rasped against your lips, his voice strained with pleasure. "So fucking perfect."
"Cum for me," he demanded, his voice rough with lust. "Show me how much you love being fucked by me."
He reached between your bodies, his fingers finding your clit, rubbing the sensitive nub in tight circles. The added stimulation was all it took to push you over the edge, your pussy clamping down around his cock as you came, your juices gushing out around his shaft.
"Fuck, yes," he groaned, his hips stuttering as he felt you come undone. "That's my girl. My perfect, beautiful girl."
He thrust into you a few more times, chasing his release, before burying himself deep inside you, his cock pulsing as he filled you with his seed. He held you close, his arms wrapped around your waist, his face buried in your neck as he rode out the waves of his orgasm.
"I love you," he murmured against your skin, his voice soft and tender. "I love you so fucking much."
"A-ahh," you let out a broken sob as your orgasm crashed over you, your body going limp on top of Jacaerys. Your hips twitched involuntarily, moving on their own as the last waves of pleasure washed through you.
You collapsed against his toned chest, your face buried in the crook of his neck as you tried to catch your breath. Your heart was racing, and your skin was slick with sweat and water. You felt boneless, completely spent like all the tension and stress had been fucked out of you.
Jacaerys' arms wrapped around you, holding you close as you came down from your high. You could feel his heartbeat beneath your cheek, steady and strong. You wanted to stay like this forever, lost in the afterglow, safe in his embrace.
But even as you basked in the warmth of his love, you couldn't shake the nagging feeling that this was all too good to be true. That at any moment, it would all come crashing down, leaving you broken and alone once again.
You pushed the thought away, not wanting to ruin this perfect moment. For now, you would let yourself believe in the fairytale, in the promise of happily ever after.
"I love you," you murmured against his skin, your voice raspy and raw. "I love you so much, Jacaerys."
And for a brief, shining moment, you let yourself believe that maybe, this time it would be different. That this time, your love would be enough.
Jacaerys held you close as you came down from your high, your body trembling with the aftershocks of your orgasm. He could feel the way your heart raced beneath his fingertips, the way your breath hitched as he brushed his lips against your temple.
"I love you too," he murmured, his voice soft and tender. "More than anything in this world."
He knew that you had your doubts, that you were afraid of getting hurt again. But he wanted to prove to you that this was different, that what you had was real and lasting.
He pulled back slightly, cupping your face in his hands, his thumbs brushing over your cheekbones. "Hey," he said gently, his eyes searching yours. "Look at me."
When you met his gaze, he smiled, his heart swelling with love and affection. "I know you're scared," he said softly, his thumb brushing over your bottom lip. "But I'm not going anywhere. I'm here to stay, for as long as you'll have me."
He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, your nose, and your cheeks, before finally capturing your lips in a tender, loving kiss. He poured all of his emotions into the kiss, all of his love and devotion, hoping that you could feel it, could understand the depth of his feelings for you.
When he pulled back, he rested his forehead against yours, his eyes closed as he savoured the moment. "I know it's not going to be easy," he said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. "But I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make this work, to make us work."
He opened his eyes, gazing into yours with a fierce intensity. "I love you," he said again, his voice filled with conviction. "And I'm going to spend the rest of my life proving it to you if that's what it takes."
Hearing his words made your heart soar, and without thinking, you pulled him into a passionate kiss. It was wet and messy, a beautiful chaos where both of you poured every ounce of emotion into that moment. Your fingers tangled in his hair, tugging gently at the nape of his neck, feeling the warmth radiate from his skin. When you finally pulled back, breathless gasps filled the air, and your pupils dilated in the soft glow of the surroundings.
“Jace,” you murmured, nuzzling your nose against his, your foreheads resting together. Your breaths intertwined, creating a rhythm that matched the quickening of your hearts, each inhale and exhale echoing the sweetness of the moment. You brushed your thumb delicately over his cheek, tracing the outline of his bruise—a reminder of the fights. “I won’t let this happen to you again. Like I said… I have a bat,” you chuckled, the playful glint in your eyes as you placed a chaste kiss on his lips.
But then an uncomfortable sting shot through your knees and thighs from being in the same position for too long. Your fingers looked like raisins from the long 'bath', pruney and wrinkled, but somehow, even that felt amusing in the warmth of the moment. You couldn’t help but smile, knowing that no matter the discomfort, you’d choose him every time.
Jacaerys chuckled at your joke, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled. "I'll hold you to that," he teased, his fingers tracing patterns on your lower back. "My own personal bodyguard."
He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your lips, savouring the taste of you, the feel of your skin against his. When he pulled back, he noticed the discomfort on your face, the way you shifted slightly, trying to ease the ache in your knees and thighs.
"Come on," he murmured, his voice gentle and caring. "Let's get you out of this tub before you turn into a prune."
He stood up slowly, his cock slipping out of you with a soft pop, a trail of your combined fluids following in its wake. He reached down, his hands strong and sure as he lifted you effortlessly from the tub, water cascading off your skin.
You let out a soft gasp as Jacaerys slipped out of you, your body still sensitive from the intense pleasure you had just shared. He gave you a cocky smirk, clearly pleased with himself, and you couldn't help but roll your eyes playfully.
"Show off," you teased, but there was no real bite to your words. You were too content, too happy to be in his arms again.
He wrapped a fluffy towel around your shoulders, and another around your waist, before grabbing one for himself. He dried you off gently, his touch tender and loving, taking his time to make sure every inch of your skin was dry.
Once you were both dry, he scooped you up in his arms, carrying you to the bedroom.
You yelped in surprise when he suddenly scooped you up, your arms instinctively wrapping around his neck as he carried you to the bedroom. You laughed softly, the sound light and carefree, as he laid you down on the bed, crawling in beside you, pulling you close to his chest.
It was like he had never left, like no time had passed at all. He knew exactly where everything was like he had never left. It warmed your heart and made you feel safe and loved in a way you hadn't felt in a long time.
You went and grabbed fresh underwear from the cupboard, slipping it on as Jacaerys picked up the clothes you had given him from the bed. For a moment, you moved in silence, comfortable in each other's presence, content just to be near each other.
Jacaerys watched as you slipped into your underwear, his eyes roaming over your body appreciatively. He could feel his cock stirring to life again, but he pushed the thought aside, knowing that you needed time to recover.
He picked up his clothes from the bed, slipping into them slowly, savouring the feeling of being in your space again. It felt like coming home like everything was exactly as it should be.
As he slipped on his shirt, he caught sight of you in the mirror, your reflection soft and beautiful in the dim light of the bedroom. He felt a surge of love and possessiveness, a primal urge to claim you, to mark you as his own.
But he pushed the thought aside, knowing that you needed gentleness and patience. He would give you all the time you needed to heal, to trust again.
He turned to face you, a soft smile on his face. "What do you want to do now?" he asked, his voice gentle. "We could order some food, watch a movie, or just talk. Whatever you want, baby. I'm here for you."
He sat down on the edge of the bed, reaching out to take your hand in his. His thumb brushed over your knuckles, his touch warm and comforting.
"Or," he added, a playful spark in his eye, "we could pick up where we left off in the bathroom. I'm not tired yet."
He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, a playful smirk on his face. He knew you were sore, knew that you probably needed time to recover, but he couldn't resist teasing you a little.
"But seriously," he said, his voice softening, "whatever you want. I'm here for you. Always."
You smirked, poking your cheek with your tongue playfully. Then, in a flash, you lunged at Jacaerys, tackling him onto the bed. You landed on top of him, straddling his hips as he let out a surprised grunt.
"Well," you purred, your eyes sparkling with mischief as you leaned down, your hair falling around your head. "A movie and food does sound pretty good, doesn't it?"
You could feel his cock hardening beneath you, pressing against your core through the thin fabric of your underwear. The knowledge that you could still affect him so easily sent a thrill through you.
Jacaerys let out a surprised grunt as you tackled him onto the bed, your body landing on top of his. He grinned up at you, his eyes dark with desire as he took in the sight of you straddling his hips.
"A movie and food, huh?" he teased, his hands sliding up your thighs, his fingers toying with the hem of your underwear. "I think I can arrange that."
He reached up, cupping your face in his hands, his thumbs brushing over your cheekbones. "But first," he murmured, his voice low and husky, "I think I need a little appetiser."
