What Destiny? Fandom: Key to Extraordinary by Natalie Lloyd

Emma never knew her mother, all her grandma Blue would tell her is that her mother and father died shortly after giving birth to her. All Emma ever knew was growing up with her grandma, and her family by her side. 

What Emma didn't see was her family trying to convince Blue to tell her about the destiny dreams the woman of their family produced. "She'll have it early." Periwinkle stated matter of factly to Blue. "Those things are rats ass." Blue was about keeping the destiny dream from Emma, "You'll put pressure on the poor girl." 

So, when at 13 Emma dreamed of the bluebell flowers surrounding a mouth and fingers, she didn't think anything of it when she did the usual dream sharing at breakfast. "I had a weird dream. It was bluebells surrounding a mouth and fingers." Emma could have sworn Blue made a face, but when she blinked, Blue looked completely calm. "Emma, it's time for me to tell you about a tradition in our family." 

Blue got up, and started going into her bedroom, she then handed Emma an old journal. "A journal?" Emma asked, curiously. "Not just any journal, women in our family have been having dreams with bluebells for centuries, and you just had yours. What they are surrounding, is your destiny." Blue sighed, then added, "Don't be disappointed if you can't fulfill it." 

Emma told Cody Belle about her dream, when Earl Chance walked in, "He doesn't talk anymore. Ever since the tornado." "He must feel so helpless." Emma figured. "Possibly." "I got it!" "Got what?" "What my destiny dream means!" "A what!" Emma told Cody Bell everything Blue told her. "That's a great idea." 

Emma and Cody set up a section in the brewery to allow Emma to practice teaching her old and rusty sign language she learned in a language class she had at eight. Soon enough, Earl and his friends joined the class, allowing Earl to speak freely, since everyone could now understand him. 

Cody Belle smiled while pointing to him, after the class had been going on for months, "Look Emma, he is communicating with all his friends. He is even smiling." Emma high fived her while declaring, "We did it! Now no one has to be alone!"

honestly I don’t blame Earl Harlan for being desperate bc imagine your crush is the implied pretty-average looking guy Cecil Palmer and not only does an out-of-town-er bag him first but it’s the hottest mf imaginable. biceps just straining to escape his lab coat. like. sorry, Earl. You can’t compete with that

D. Gray man is perhaps the most important manga in my life that changed the trajectory of my life when I first started reading it in the middle of the cemetery many years ago as an emo teen xD. The characters, the world building, the story… all of them left (and still continues to leave cuz damn these recent manga updates are killing me /pos) lasting impacts on me as an artist and as a person. I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for this series (no seriously I started posting art online because of Dgm). May we have more years to come for this wonderful story! ✨🤲

I rewatched episode 56 of Welcome to Nightvale and this is the episode that starts Earl Harlan temporary cooking segment and it's kindda sad.

I mean a lot of it involved Earl trying to explain how he was 19 for a long time and make Cecil realize the spots on his memory, ufortunally for Earl denial is not a river in Egipt (rivers are actually Concil for Water propaganda and don't exist, food is the real survival necessity) and Cecil has a lot of it.

That being said the real sad part is the rest of the segment where they are clearly still rebuilding their friendship (wich is cute and cool) except Earl still has a crush on Cecil and denial is still Cecil Palmer favorite activity so if Cecil even realized the crush he is lying to himself about it not being that (more likely than not he just didn't realize it). So we have this moment:

Cecil (who really really just needs a friend after Carlos got lost and he alienated everyone else): Would you come on the show with more tasty recipes? Maybe we can make this a regular cooking feature?

Earl (who clearly still has a crush on Cecil and is head over heels with the invitation): I'd love to, Cecil. I think we really have something here.

Cecil (who reads the very clear "i'm still in love with you even if we aren't kids anymore and you have a boyfriend who is ignoring you atm" as "you are really a great radio host and friend and this is a genius radio idea"): Me too : )
