so I finished side order recently
#splatoon#pearl houzuki#agent 8#marina ida#acht mizuta#my stuff#inktober piece 2 :)#shoutout to my brother who reminded me i could replay the credits whenever because i had to get some extra refs for eight's model#and saved me from having to slog up the tower again#now if only splatoon could do that for every cutscene eh. please#i want to relive a lot of cutscenes and youre killing me for it splatoon#anyway did you know splatoon's official art has. well it wildly varies from piece to piece#they all follow like a very loose guidelines but also they all split off into their own things half the time#me with seven tabs of art trying to figure out if i want to do lines to separate pearl's fingers: so this one has lines but this one doesnt#'this one isnt relevant to this issue all fingers are splayed'#so in the end i just did whatever i wanted. i think that's a core tenet of art. do whatever you want. forever#also spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out what was etched into marina's headphones#im 98% sure it is the off the hook logo. but nothing save from booting up splatoon and checking myself would say for sure#and i didnt wanna boot up splatoon cause if i did then id inevitably be down a couple hours because 'oh well im here already. one run maybe'#but regardless!! im proud of how this came out even if i was supposed to have finished two days ago to keep with my schedule#especially the bg :) i think i did really good on that.#and eight's little smile i think thats the charm point of the whole piece and it took me about ten drafts to get it properly#i think i did good on that too.#im so enamored with splatoon rn help

#I am literally following them around and getting excited like a little puppy its insane#I cant decide who I wanna marry I like all of them… I was a little torn between Sebastian and Harvey at first but now Alex is an#unexpected fav??? and I like Elliott and Sam theyre so goofy.. and I appreciate how down to earth Leah is#Emily is also quickly growing on me she feels like the valleys manic pixie dream girl to me. or at least Clint’s manic pixie dream girl#the only characters I don’t have much to say abt are Shane and maru.. Shane’s still a little mean to me like I know he warms up to u as#u get to know him but I’m not there yet.. and I’m just not all that interested in Maru sadly#it’s not just the marriage candidates its almost all the NPCs especially Granny Evelyn SHES SO NICE?? shes fun to talk to I love giving#her my best flowers.. I also like saying hi to Willy and Marnie they’re nice!!! #ocarina of time#oot#ganondorf#excuse how cunty hes drawn here it is because i want him. anyway#just as a sidenote these are examples of like 2 different kinds of smiles i feel like i associate with him#first one is the Almost Grimace. or like a wider more performative smile#which happens to be offputting sometimes because he has a tendency to show too much of his incisors. cute and also occasionally offputting#the second one is like. you know how (especially in Wind Waker iirc) he will grin but like. only the corners of his mouth show his teeth#and the middle part stays closed somehow. it’s not just when he smiles either it’s just like a thing he does with his face#its so funny its such a unique trait. anyway i like to think that one is less practiced and more genuine#i also like his silly jagged teeth in wind waker…..i think its meant to be partly some permanent effect from his Boar Events#but also like. what if his teeth are kind of just jagged in some places and not perfectly straight#even when he’s much younger lol like he’s just always kinda had that.#extreme charm point…….imo……………

#sas rogue heroes#sasrh:canonau#turns out augustin cannot for the life of him figure the irish lieutenant out#and he makes him oh so very curious#actually both irishmen kinda do#especially when they're together#but whereas paddy remains pretty set in letting augustin see just one side of him#(and maybe just a glimpse of something else when he lets his guard down with eoin and doesn't realise the french is looking)#eoin seems to do the opposite and it's like he enjoys showing he contains multitudes every single time both lieutenants have an interaction#and just when jordan thinks he's finally understood who's this young talented soldier#BAM something else pops up#he's not just paddy's number one defender#he's also pretty good at leading a drill and training??#he's joyful and kind to others (english and french - he makes no difference)#he's a talented pianist ?? certainly catching augustin's attention when he gives paddy lessons in the mess hall#(lessons which he tries not to stare at for they feel a bit private)#he's skilled not just with weapons and strategy but also with the pen ?? with words ??#if the letters he's seen him ghost write are anything to go by#but oh then he starts making off handed comments about poetry#about books#about books augustin is reading in those small moments of quiet in between the raids and the battles#and he's *stubborn* - augustin figures out when comments turn into conversations turn into exchanges and into debates#and he *likes* debating - they have that in common#tbh neither of them back down from their own stances and augustin would say theres never someone who comes on top#until one time when augustin is quite sure he's got this one#but then eoin mcgonigal just delivers one final blow in perfect french that leaves him just ?????¿¿¿¿¿???#and he's a bit speechless#and eoin just smiles his usual smile and stretches and leaves like it's nothing and MON DIEU does he make augustin OH so curious#and that's the only reason he stares#NYWAY this is super self indulgent id say more but tag limit POINT IS love em they shouldve met paddy has 2 hands (as do they)

ive never seen anyone talk about this before so i will: i think the second opening of dungeon meshi symbolizes what would have happened if the winged lion won.
#think about it.#the blank background with nothing in it that seems to stretch out forever#the shot of all the background characters rising while being unnaturally happy#the golden kingdom citizens especially#and thistle dancing with delgal#being that delgal's happiness and the citizens' safety was his desire and all#which had already been eaten by the lion previously#not sure what it means that the touden party are the only ones seen with monsters and food but im sure it means something#my working theory is that it represents the eat or be eaten thing#the rest of the characters are being eaten#the party is seen capturing monsters to eat#in the end of the dream sequence they all smile as they fall into a pot#but at the last moment#both them and the pot disappear#perhaps that is the refusal to be eaten#and i think the shot of them looking into the pot with tiny versions of themselves#represents "if you want to take (eat) you must be prepared to have something taken away from you (in this case their lives. since theyre#gonna be eaten)#i think#tldr dungeon meshi opening 2 is laios's prophetic dream of saving the world from the maws of the winged lion by refusing to bow down and#become a meal#food#dungeon meshi#dungeon meshi spoilers#edit: my mistake the touden party arent the only ones seen with monsters — theyre seen throughout the opening#but my point still stands#theyre the only ones seen attacking/hunting them#aka making an active attempt to survive
