EJ GENERAL INFORMATION
This is a new series, where I show off all our staff and all our horses to those who haven't seen them all yet. The General Information posts are good for anyone who has just found this blog ^^'
ABOUT US
EJ is owned by Vivian Cheswick. The stable doesn’t have a direction yet, when it comes to breeds, as they are in the process of buying up some Sportshorses, before deciding too much - but the stable is definitely focused on Show Jumping and Show Jumpers.
The staff right now consists of owner and mentor Vivian Cheswick, and her menteé Lauren Gibson. Every story - for now anyways - is told through Lauren’s eyes.

For the last couple weeks I've been drawing logos / designs for local-ish (mostly NJ, some PA and NY) bands as warmups in the morning. Here's what I've come up with! Massive post below the break explaining each logo + where to find each band and listen to their music.
Teenage Halloween- a staple of New Jersey basements for probably about a decade now and finally getting wider recognition in the last couple years. Pop punk / power pop with a killer horn section. First time I saw them was in New Brunswick playing with Walter Etc. and Blowout. They played a killer cover "Build Me Up Buttercup" and my wife got a black eye in the pit. Recommended tracks: "Brain Song," "666," "Clarity." Their first EP is on a separate bandcamp page btw, check it out here it's great.
Sweet Pill - They will call themselves a Philly band but in my heart they'll always be from Glassboro. Definitely one of the more recognizable names on this list. Emo revival - early stuff is more twinkly, more recent stuff is heavier. All of it's great. Recommended tracks "Nephew," "High Hopes."
Shark Club - Central Jersey's finest. I'm very biased because I actually know these dudes and they did the music for my wedding. Some of the best pop punk you'll hear and the nicest people you'll meet. Recommended tracks: "Game Theory," "Bill Murray," "Heavens to Betsy."
Rest Ashore - My favorite band for the last (oh God I'm old now) eight years. From gut-wrenching emo ballads to virtuoso math-rock instrumentals they do it all. One time I got to sing vocals on "Lucy's Theme" at a house show- thank you Erica! Recommended tracks: "Hjarta," "Chinese Opera," "Devotion," "Soyuz Sweetheart." Too many bangers to name honestly, just deep dive their discography.
Morus Alba - First band I ever went to see at a house show and still one of my absolute favorites. Their music feels like the bridge between the best pitchfork, /mu/ alt rock bands and high energy basement emo. I mean that as a compliment and I hope it comes off as one lol. I should note that since 2019 Morus Alba has morphed from a band into an experimental hip-hop project so later releases sound radically different and basically disconnected from the earlier stuff. Also my favorite release from them, Live at Isabelle's, has been scrubbed from the internet but if you'd like the files just email me. Recommended tracks: "Skyscraper," "Human Resources," "The Goodnight Waltz."
Have a Good Season - another Jersey mainstay that's still going strong. Emo revival in their earlier releases, now with more 70s power pop influences in their newer stuff. See them live, they put on a fantastic show and usually play some great covers in addition to their original music. HaGS guys if you're reading this, please put your version of "Since You've Been Gone" online, I'm begging you. Recommended tracks: "Joseph / Shel Silverstein," (you have to listen to them together for the drop, so good) , "Gum, "Gleaux / Scab." Also, frontman Nic Palermo interviewed me once.
Elephant Jake - If you see any of these bands live make it EJ, they put on such a damn good show. Electrifying indie punk from the Empire State. Recommended tracks: "F.D.C." "Sarah Moyer," "Goodness to Honest," and of course you gotta learn "Sebastien Bauer" for the singalongs.
Blind Lion - Sadly one of the greats that we lost along the way. Defunct since about 2017. I only got to see them once but it was a great performance. Alongside their own stuff they played some killer covers of "Bad Moon Rising" and "Moonage Daydream." I had trouble doing a logo design for them because I actually really like the composition, if not the "Ed Hardy-ness," of their existing logo so what you see here are two separate attempts, neither of which feels entirely satisfying to me. Frontperson Larry Flately currently plays in Nematode and also handled production of Bradley Gardens joke hiphop group The Breakfast Boiz under the moniker "DJ Ova EZ." Recommended tracks: "Brumous," "Dinner."
Fighting Seasons - A band that I sadly found out about too late (via a sticker under the bridge in my town which has since been painted over). 2010s pop punk that packs a helluva punch, especially considering that I'm pretty sure the members were high schoolers for most of the band's existence. I think some members may have gone on to form Sawce (FFO Chon, Polyphia, that type of music) but I can't remember where I read/heard that so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Recommended tracks: "Fighting Seasons," "Oil on Canvas"
Milkmen- Another fallen giant, officially disbanded in 2019. Like Morus Alba, they played the very first house show I attended and their few releases remain on constant rotation in my home. Used to put on a great show and were one of the bands I always thought would make it big until suddenly they weren't around anymore. Frontman Ben Thieberger contributed guitar and vocals to Covid quarantine project Kin if you're looking for a bit of an extra fix but beyond that I don't know what these guys are up to these days, sadly. Recommended tracks: "Ramus," "Johnny Dangerously," "how sieves catch breeze," "K.O.T.H."
Stand and Wave - New York (now Philly) pop punkers delivering instant dopamine hits with every track. Another great live act, see them with EJ if you can! They often play shows together. Recommended tracks: "Convos," "Mrs. Dash," "Splashton Kutcher," "Michael Collins."
My Chemical Romance - You know who they are. While I was drawing all these other logos I ran a poll on Patreon to decide which famous New Jersey band should also be graced with a drawing from me. MCR won the poll by a hefty margin so unfortunately you won't get to see me do an illegible black metal take on Hoboken's Yo La Tengo. I ended up doing two versions: the one with the halo is the first, the one with the bats was the second. I tried to do something kind of thin and elegant with the first one and I don't think it's terrible but I also wasn't quite satisfied with it. For the 2nd attempt I tried to lean into the kind of pulpy, almost horror punk aesthetic of early MCR and I think that one looks better even if it's less original.
Anyway if you took the time to read through all this, thank you very much! And please support these bands! Also If any of the links aren't working please let me know.

I’m was looking through old art and stumbled upon one where Choco and EJ were wearing outfits inspired by the rails you ride in the 3rd game. I even made a logo for the two as well
#spark the electric jester#stej#If I remember this was supposed to mimic Off the Hook from Splatoon-#Do not question why that is-#Still tho I like how I drew these outfits

Are requests open? May I have anything cute you feel like writing for EJ, please?
im so sorry it got sad really quick
Edwin University
Jack looked down at the little crumpled piece of paper, and compared it to the large, steel letters of the school logo.
" EDWIN UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE "
This is where he came from, where this demon was born. And yet, it didn't seem like anything evil or cultish. Just a normal school for practicing medical personnel.
Students were pacing toward class here and there, either in sweatpants, or business casual clothing. A sense of a bittersweet longing washed over him, knowing that he was once walking across the same lawn not too long ago. Holding the same books. Fretting over the same classes.
Slender had finally caved on the 31st time of Jack asking to visit his roots, to understand just a hair of who he was before he was turned into this kidney eating parasite. Of course, it was under the condition that he not interact with anyone. And now that he's here, standing at the front of campus, he's not sure if he wants to know.
He gulped down whatever was bubbling in his throat, and trailed behind a nearest student, trotting toward the building, no doubt late for whatever class he was hauling books for in a humongous bookbag. The student didn't even notice how close Jack was breathing down his neck, desperate to slip in through the door that only opened with a Student ID.
Those two sets of doors acting as a threshold for so long, Jack was in shock at how different the inside compared to the dull bricks of the outer walls of the school.
The tiles of the hallway were a dull vinyl material, and glistened with the fluorescent lights lining the lobby. Flags of multiple countries, schools, hospitals, and sports teams hung in uniform above Jack's head, seemingly floating along the endless ceiling.
It smelled familiar too, the stale smell of carpet, cheap disinfectant, and bricks that held a little too much moisture to be sanitary. Now, Edwin University held a high stature of respect in the state, being the best medical school for miles around. The building could use some touch-ups, though.
While admiring the interior, Jack paced a few steps forward, squinting through his mask at the office, and multiple hallways that branched out toward an infinite amount of class rooms and buildings.
As Jack glanced around, shrouded by his hoodie, a glass case caught his eye, reflecting the lights in such grace that he couldn't see beyond the glare. The demon approached the trophy case tucked into the wall by the main office, taking notes of glitter strewn about the garland of the school's colors.
And his stomach dropped, landing on what looked to be a red-haired high-school graduate centered amongst a collage of the same person.
"Jackson Creed, the most brave Owl of our school."
He glared over his shoulder, in case any passerby's became too nosey of his presence, and quickly turned back toward his photos. How he desperately wanted to rip the glass off of it's hinges, smash through it and clutch the remains of his past life desperately in his claws.
Jack only stood shaking, and gulped. There was a newspaper clipping framed next to it, with multiple paragraphs framing a picture of a curly brunette girl in a cheer uniform. Without even reading a word of the paper, he could feel the unbridled rage the look in her eyes invoked in his blackened blood.
"Jessica Writhe, forever loved and missed."
"Forever missed...Certainly." He grumbled. Jack could only hiss in a sniff as he shook his head, tilting his gaze into the speckled tile. The physical pain clutching his heart with knives and broken glass. He was robbed. He was robbed of a college degree, a doctorate, a friend group of normal people, a life, a family a-
"Did you know them?" A voice chimed. Jack's head snapped toward his left, being too self-absorbed to notice anyone approaching him. The demon quickly fixed his hoodie as he looked back toward the glass, tugging it snugly over his mask.
It was a dark-skinned man, no older than 25, that was suddenly standing next to him. He shuffled a little stiffly toward the case, and placed a granola bar on the sill of the window. His freckles hopped around his cheeks as he smiled at the hooded figure. "My name is James, I was a friend of Jack's."
Jack's tension left his shoulders for a moment, slacking downward with numbness. A piece of his old life was standing right beside him and he wasn't allowed to say a single word, too risky. And Jack had been too loyal to disrespect the terms that Slender gave.
"He was a really nice guy, a little weird, but that's what made him so lovable to everyone. Always making jokes and taking a jab at someone." James chuckled and shook his head. "He always ate a granola on the way to class, so on Mondays I drop one off for him." James simmered down, went quiet for a moment, as if hoping Jack would jump out of his hoodie with a 'Hey! It's me! It's been a while, right?'
But nothing.
"They're still looking for him." James added, and Jack merely tilted his head to peek a gaze at James. He provided a simple nod, to indicate that he was listening. "I hope he comes back some day. I'd love to share one more coffee with him."
Jack turns on his heel abruptly, the tar started to overflow the pockets inside his mask, so it was a much needed signal to leave.
"Uh, hey! Do you want this hoodie? One mutual, to another?" It was a last ditch effort to connect with the stranger. Anything that could give him a glimpse of his old friend. A new shared memory, hell maybe this guy even had a piece of his clothes that he could bribe for.
So much grief and guilt had plagued James ever since the murder and disappearance of Jessica's clique. If he could just...find something to cling on to...
Jack paused in his strideA, practically being weight down by the guilt of just walking off, let alone the sickening feeling this human was radiating. What is it? Sadness? Grief? Something that his senses were picking up on, but couldn't quite name.
"Here, take it." James held out the hoodie, it was heavy.
Jack slowly turned. How could he take it? These claws, the shadow colored skin...His own demonic flesh leaked out from his tattered clothing.
But alas, after a long beat, Jack hesitantly reached out, his long claws scraping against the woven cotton before his finger pads even touched the garment. James sucked in a gasp through his teeth, staring at Jack's hood in angry confusion.
What kind of sick joke?-
But the scar on Jack's hand, the 'X'. It traced from pointer to wrist, and the other line from his pinky to the other side of his wrist. Jack had always had it since he awoken. But James...James seems to remember it as well.
James' fingers released the hoodie as Jack tugged it away, giving a sheepish wave before quickly leaving. Black dots of tar traced his footsteps as he hurried out of the building.
James was the only one to notice. He was the only one to notice the ghost of Jackson Creed.
___
Jack was quiet for the rest of the week, and Nina was the only one who seemed to care enough to pry. She even went as far as climbing into his window when he locked his door on her.
"C'mon Jack! You can't stay cooped up in your room outside of working hours. It's not healthy, even for someone like you!"
"Nina, please leave." He didn't spare her a moment of time before he was already unlocking his door to shoo her away. And while his back was turned, Nina caught a glimpse of the hoodie slacked over the footboard of his bed.
"Edwin Uni? Is that a victims school or...?" Nina looked back toward Jack. Even with a faceless mask, Nina could see the tension gathered in his shoulders. "Oh my Gods! Did you really go to the human realm to visit your old life? Isn't that like, forbidden?!" She exclaimed, and Jack quickly slammed the door before whoever was undoubtedly listen outside decided to spread the news Nina was blabbing.
"Yes... I did visit, but-"
"Well, what was it like? Is this what's got you in the dumps?" She asked, and helped herself to sitting on his bed, pulling the hoodie off of the frame and holding it up to admire the grey vintage style of it.
"It was..." Jack thought for a moment, not knowing how to place a single word on the experience. "It was alright."
"Just alright, huh? She teased, standing up as Jack approached her, and without giving Jack a second to react, she popped it on over head, and yanked it down past his chest. "I think the hoodie fits at least. But I hope you didn't buy it, college's are a scam when it comes to merch, and on top of that it looks used!"
It did look used. It was frayed in the back and had a few holes sporting it. Jack wiggled, and wanted to amuse Nina with the idea he was already stuck in, and popped his arms through the sleeves, fixing the hem to just below his belt loop.
"It fits nice." He shrugged, pulling the hood out of his back and flipping it over his head.
"Hey, you'd pass for a pretty cute college dude, huh?" She teased with a laugh.
Jack only shook his head with a scoff, "I did. But those days are long past me." He grabbed the hem, and pulled it off before Nina could grab any more friendly teases from thin air. He held it by his hips, struggling to free his arms from the hoodie with the friction of his long sleeved shit.
"Hey! Look at the tag, Jack." She shuffled forward, and lifted the hoodie to get a better look at the tag, "Someone's written on it."
The marker on the tag could only show at least a years worth of washing machine visits. It was bleeding and barely legible. But Jack could read it, it was his handwriting after all.
"Can't read it." He fibbed, and tossed it back on the bed. He headed back toward the door with a sigh, flexing his fingers.
"Maybe I'll get you a new Edwin hoodie for Christmas." Nina smiled, following him to be politely shoved out of his room.
"No...I like that one better."

Forged Divinity Chapter 22: Enjolras Puts Everyone to Bed
1578 words
CW: institutionalized slavery, religious themes, references to past violence
Previous, Masterlist, Next
~~~
Enjolras carried Leannan up from the fishing platform onto the aft deck of the 80’ Voyager, dubbed Survivor, and went inside. She moved through the saloon, now filled with refugees sitting on the overstuffed and faded pair of chairs and couch, past the stairwell to the upper deck, past the galley, through to the dining area, lit in cold white by solar-powered lamps. There was another couch along the back – or really, the front of the vessel. The woman Leannan had brought with him sat on one end, assisted there by another La Libera agent, and Enjolras maneuvered around the table to lay Leannan down on the other end. There was a stairwell behind the couch down to the lower deck where there were several real beds, but the stairs were too narrow and steep to safely carry someone down. The couch would do for now.
Enjolras looked at the woman. She wore a bloodstained blue dress, and hunched in a way that indicated she was in pain. Sympathy flared in Enjolras’ chest.
“I’m Enjolras. What’s your name?” she asked softly.
“Jeanette,” the woman murmured, staring into the middle distance.
Enjolras’ sympathy evaporated.
“The Councilwoman,” she hissed. She slammed a hand down on the table and pointed the other at Leannan. “Did you rape him?”
Jeanette was startled out of her reverie, and blinked at Enjolras.
“No. Absolutely not.”
Enjolras’ hackles lowered a bit.
“But I did…” Jeanette looked at Leannan, her mouth twisting with guilt, “I did hit him. Once. And I teased him terribly. I’m sorry.”
“I’m not the one you should be apologizing to.” Enjolras spun on her heel and went to the galley, fetching two glasses of water, the old pipes of the sink groaning when used but producing clean water from their reserves. She returned, handing one to Jeanette.
“Drink.”
Jeanette took the glass in shaking hands, her arms dipping when the weight was transferred to her, and drank eagerly.
Enjolras focused on Leannan; setting the second glass of water down, she knelt beside the couch and patted his cheek, speaking gently.
“Leannan? Come back to me, Leannan, come on, wake up.”
Leannan looked awful. He wore only a pair of shorts and that blasted company logo around his neck. His skin was smeared with ash and smoke, and a few smatterings of blood from DuPont’s headshot. His feet were bare and dirty, and one bled a bit at the heel. But at Enjolras’ touch and words he groaned, and lifted a hand to rub at his eye.
“Phineas?” he mumbled.
“It’s okay, Phineas isn’t here,” Enjolras reassured him, “I just need you to drink some water and then I’ll let you sleep, okay?”
She helped Leannan slowly sit up. He looked around, his eyes rimmed with red from the smoke exposure and his eyebrows pinched.
“We left Phineas behind?” he asked.
“We did,” Enjolras confirmed, “You’re safe now.”
Leannan’s face abruptly crumpled as he began to sob.
“I’m sorry!” he cried, “I’m sorry, I’m really sorry!”
“Hej-ej-ej, it’s okay!” Enjolras grabbed his knee and smiled up at him from where she knelt, “Everything is okay now! Leannan – do you like the name Leannan? Would you rather I called you something…”
“Yes, no, please!” Leannan interrupted her, his sobbing redoubled, “Please let me keep Leannan! Please!”
“Okay! That’s okay. No one’s going to take your name away from you, I promise.”
“I promise, I can – I can be better than this,” Leannan babbled, swiping at the tears rolling down his face, “I’m just really, really tired, I’ll be okay tomorrow, I swear, I won’t be like this!”
“Okay!” Enjolras nodded, “You’ll be better tomorrow, but can you do something for me, Leannan? Can you drink some water?” She pointed at the glass of water on the table in front of him.
Leannan nodded and picked it up; drinking the water stifled his sobs, smoothed out his breathing, and he calmed down a bit. He set the glass back down after draining half of it.
“Great job,” Enjolras praised, “Thank you for doing that. Can you stand?” She stood herself, and offered her hands for support. Leannan took them and pulled himself to his feet.
“Leannan,” she caught his gaze with her eyes, “I’m going to take you to a bedroom, but it’s only so that you can sleep, okay? No one will bother you. Do you understand?”
Leannan stared at her, tear-streaked, exhausted, and uncomprehending, but he nodded anyway. Enjolras pursed her lips, and hoped this wouldn’t go sideways.
“Okay. Follow me.”
She grabbed a solar lamp and lead the way down the compact staircase to a minuscule breezeway between two bedrooms. She went into the left one where there were two twin beds. She turned to look at Leannan, who, even in his frazzled state, was marveling at the luscious antique woodwork and cabinetry the chamber was outfitted in, curved cozily around them to match the belly of the vessel.
“There’s a toilet and a shower just in there,” Enjolras pointed out a little nook with a sliding door, and Leannan nodded numbly. She set the lamp down on the small shelf between the two beds. “I’m leaving this here for you, okay? You can leave it on if you like.”
She moved through the cramped space around him back to the door, and Leannan turned to watch.
“You’re not staying?” he asked, almost sounding disappointed.
Enjolras knew that hopeful, worried look. They’d all had it, twelve years ago.
“No, Leannan. You’re here to sleep, nothing more.”
Leannan looked at the beds, then back to her, his expression lost.
“Is Phineas going to be okay?” he whispered, “We just left them there, what if they can’t get off the island?”
Enjolras couldn’t help but smile grimly.
“Don’t worry about Phineas. They always survive.”
~~~
Leannan swayed as he stepped out of the tiny shower. He had stared at the beautiful little beds in the beautiful little room for a good several minutes after Enjolras had left, trying to decide if it was worth getting one all dirty by lying in it, ash- and smoke-stained as he was. He had finally decided to clean up, and had taken a quick but deliciously hot shower. He now searched and found towels in one of the many built-in cabinets, and once dry he stepped over his discarded shorts on the floor and crawled into one bed. It was cool enough belowdecks with only one small glass window to have let in the previous day’s heat, that he could snuggle down under the light blanket.
It didn’t feel real. The hot shower. The cloud-like mattress beneath him. His new master Enjolras’ kindness. After the horror of the fire, seeing two men’s brains, and abandoning Phineas, it didn’t seem right. It didn’t seem fair.
A deep anxiety set into Leannan. Something bad was going to happen. He lay in bed, his aching, stinging eyes refusing to close. The reverberating hum of the engines sounded like the threatening growls of a massive creature.
Something bad was going to happen.
His bone-weary limbs settled heavier into the soft bed, but his brain fought against sleep.
Something bad was going to happen.
~~~
Enjolras folded her arms, staring Jeanette down.
“What are we going to do with you?” she asked.
Jeanette stared right back, her pale blue eyes stark against their red rims and dark bags, and said nothing.
Enjolras scanned her.
“Are you injured?”
“No,” Jeanette replied.
“But you’re sick, right?” Enjolras said, “That’s what I heard from the townsfolk.”
“Yes.” Jeanette’s cold gaze didn’t break.
“Sick with what?”
“No one knows.”
Enjolras sucked in a breath and slowly sighed it out. She had to do the right thing.
“How can we help?”
Jeanette had the decency to look surprised, but she quickly composed herself.
“If you have anything for pain, I would appreciate it. I have pains, all over my body. I also have a sensitive stomach. No dairy. No meat. I can rest here,” she gestured to the couch she sat upon, “If that’s alright – if I go down those stairs, I’m never making it back up.”
Enjolras sized her up.
“You’re small enough. I could carry you. Then you could have a shower and a real bed.”
“A shower? On a boat?” Jeanette’s eyebrow went up, “Quite the luxury vessel you have here.”
Enjolras chuckled.
“La Libera has its resources.”
“So I hear.”
Jeanette’s tone was loaded, but Enjolras ignored it, moving forward.
“Can I pick you up?”
The stairs were tricky, but Enjolras made it down with Jeanette in her arms and went into the bedroom on the right. It was a very round room, nestled into the prow of the yacht, centering a medium-sized bed. Enjolras set Jeanette down on the end.
“Do you need help cleaning up?”
“I don’t…” Jeanette’s icy facade suddenly cracked as she waved a tremulous hand, “I can’t, I have to lie down, I have to lie down.”
“Okay.” Enjolras backed off as Jeanette wincingly moved further onto the bed, finally lying down with a heavy sigh.
“I’ll bring you some painkillers,” Enjolras said, turning to leave.
“Oh, thank you,” Jeanette murmured, pressing the back of her hand to her forehead, “Thank you – what was your name?”
“Enjolras.”
“Thank you, Enjolras.”
When Enjolras returned with the bottle of pills, Jeanette was asleep. She tucked the bottle into Jeanette’s hand, and left.
There were fifteen others to take care of.
EJ x Teacher Reader on Valentines Day!
9:30 this morning, she's sitting at her podium in front of the class, talking about reading, and their upcoming writing assignment.
Her phone rings, it's the front desk, she answers, "Good morning, Ms. L/N, how are you?"
"I'm good, how are you, Carol"
"I'm doing good, sweetheart, hey, listen, there's a package down here for you, do you want someone to send it up to your classroom?"
"Can you please? That would be great."
She expects the pencils she had ordered, maybe her new Post It Notes. The custodian walks in holding the biggest Bouquet of roses she's ever seen in her life, "you can just set it on the table over there, thank you so much."
The custodian sets it on the oak wood table by the door, and she looks around the room with a confused expression on her face. She smiles, "who do we think its from?"
One girl from the back of the room speaks up, "it better be from Erik!"
"Should we investigate?"
The entire class erupts in a chorus of agreement. She walks over to the Bouquet and runs her thumb over the petal of a rose. She caresses the side of the vase, looking for the white card. She finds it on the side, tucked underneath white string. When she pulls it out, the company logo is in printed in a faded-black ink on the front.
To my heart, my soul, and my life's purpose
Happy Valentines Day. I spend every day with you looking forward to the next: the next kiss, the next adventure, the next obstacle life throws at us.
Thank you for being my rock, for keeping me grounded, and for sticking by my side when you were given every opportunity not to.
I fall more and more in love with you with every passing day.
Today, just like every, is yours
Yours forever,
Erik
"I'm not telling you all what that says, it is from Erik, though.
cookie run oc dump!!
So, since last October I've been working on an au called "Cookie Run: Underscore J". It's set in a cult where 24 cookies praise their god JJ Cookie. All of this started when JJ Cookie had lost their power, and they're using their followers for whatever they please. It gets all angsty and then cute and then back to angst because I feel like it / ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
eeeeh the lore isn't really developed other than it's a cult. I'm heavily inspired by Cotl and other media that dive into cult things :p Here's the logo idea I made a couple of weeks ago
Anyways, you came here for cookie run ocs, probably. Here's the smug laid-back InstaCrumb influencer, LJ (Love Juggler) Cookie!!!
I don't have a story for any of these cookies, so I'll just talk about them idkfbbrn...,,.
Yknow how insta's likes are little love hearts right? So,I decided to make him lovecore, the aesthetic with a bunch of hearts and such such. I could tint him more pink but I'm alright with this..
Next up, EJ (Ethereal Jelly) Cookie!
She's Milky Way's older sister that protects her from the pesky little strangers that don't believe in JJ. She's one of JJ's students and she tags along with WJ Cookie to indoctrinate other cookies. She listens and does whatever JJ Cookie says, she can't be stopped when she's following JJ's orders. Blah blah shes also very kind to cookies shes close to aka WJ Cookie and her little sis MW Cookie
WJ Cookie design is still in the works so uh be patient¿¡
Here's her consept design drawings
There's also some wj heurgdb
have a good nap, byee!..
Com uma programação voltada ao debate da inovação e do empreendedorismo no ambiente universitário, a Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (Udesc) promoveu nesta quarta-feira, 28 de agosto, o 2º Encontro das Empresas Juniores da Udesc (EEJudesc). Cerca de 80 pessoas, entre estudantes, servidores da universidade e representantes de organizações públicas e privadas do estado, participaram do evento, que ocorreu no auditório do Centro de Ciências da Administração e Socioeconômicas (Esag), em Florianópolis. A agenda foi organizada pela coordenadoria de Cultura (CCult) da Udesc, vinculada à pró-reitoria de Extensão, Cultura e Comunidade (Proex), e contou com palestras e mesas-redondas sobre o papel da empresa júnior (EJ) na inserção no mercado de trabalho, o impacto destas iniciativas em Santa Catarina e como o engajamento na área social auxilia no desenvolvimento das EJs. Segundo a coordenadora de Cultura da universidade, Thais Lopes Nicolau, a programação buscou dar ênfase à realidade das empresas juniores na Udesc, “um olhar de fora para dentro”, do que vem sendo feito e quais oportunidades a instituição pode oferecer aos estudantes que participam das iniciativas. A ideia, conforme Thais, foi também complementar as discussões que serão realizadas a partir de quinta-feira, 29, no Encontro Nacional de Empresas Juniores (ENEJ 2024). “É uma oportunidade de troca entre os alunos, de aprender um com o outro, e se fortalecer dentro do que a Udesc possibilita de formação para os estudantes dentro dessa perspectiva empreendedora”, completa a coordenadora. O pró-reitor de Extensão, Cultura e Comunidade, Rodrigo Terezo, enfatiza que a atividade teve ainda o objetivo de evidenciar a atenção da Udesc às EJs. “A gente vê nas empresas juniores uma grande possibilidade para que os alunos se desenvolvam profissionalmente e pessoalmente. É uma maneira de trabalharmos a extensão universitária estando em contato direto com a sociedade, e isso é enriquecedor e transformador para os alunos”, avalia. Reflexões e apresentação de casos de sucesso Logo nas palestras de abertura, o encontro refletiu sobre a ideação de negócios e o papel da empresa júnior no mercado de trabalho, com falas de Salomão Eineck Júnior, representante do Orion Parque, e Fabiane Becker, da Fundação Certi. “Ficamos superfelizes com o convite porque a Certi é uma instituição de ensino de ciência e que está Brasil afora rodando e impulsionando o desenvolvimento do empreendedorismo nas universidades”, comenta a egressa da Udesc Esag e hoje analista de inovação e empreendedorismo da Fundação Certi, Fabiane Becker. Conforme a convidada, o objetivo de sua fala foi destacar o potencial das empresas juniores para o desenvolvimento da região e do país. “E explicar para os empreendedores que o que está acontecendo lá fora é exatamente o que eles conseguem fazer aqui dentro, e mostrar que esse conhecimento pode ser transformado em algo prático, em soluções inovadoras que impactem a realidade da vida das pessoas para promover desenvolvimento sustentável, ambiental e econômico”, salienta Fabiane. À tarde, o evento incluiu a palestra de Diego Henrique, representante da Federação das Empresas Juniores do Estado de Santa Catarina (Fejesce), e a mesa-redonda com Moacir Marafon, da Associação Catarinense de Tecnologia (Acate), André Manuel, integrante do Observatório de Inovação Social de Florianópolis (Obisf), e Milena de Mesquita Brandão, diretora de extensão do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Santa Catarina (Ifsc). Além das conferências, oito das 14 EJs ativas da universidade apresentaram casos de sucesso. Entre elas estava a Atrium Engenharia Júnior, iniciativa vinculada à Udesc Joinville que apresentou o projeto da reforma de uma quadra de esportes de uma escola pública do município, concluída este ano. De acordo com a estudante da 6ª fase de Engenharia Civil e presidenta da Atrium, Fernanda da Silva, o EEJudesc ajuda a estabelecer uma conexão ainda maior entre as EJs e a gestão da universidade.
“É interessante ter esse espaço para que a gente possa trazer como a universidade consegue auxiliar as empresas juniores, e vice-versa, como que a empresa júnior pode agregar ainda mais para a universidade”, afirma. O que vem por aí Após a realização do encontro, a Proex dará andamento ao projeto para conquistar mais recursos para as EJs e estudantes. “Estamos trabalhando junto com a pró-reitoria de Planejamento para a reserva de recursos específicos para as empresas juniores, não só para que eles possam participar de eventos, mas para que consigam absorver alunos que estejam em vulnerabilidade social para participarem das empresas por meio de uma bolsa”, informa o pró-reitor Terezo. Atualmente, todos os acadêmicos que integram as empresas juniores atuam como voluntários, sem nenhuma forma de remuneração. Como organizações sem fins lucrativos, todo o valor arrecadado pelas EJs é utilizado na aquisição de produtos e serviços, como cursos, softwares e materiais. Conheça as empresas juniores da Udesc e entenda como elas funcionam. Terezo complementa destacando a dedicação dos servidores da Udesc para oferecer as condições adequadas para o crescimento das EJs. “Quanto mais alunos beberem dessa água, melhor para toda a sociedade, porque são recursos públicos. A sociedade tem uma expectativa muito grande em relação aos alunos que estão aqui, então usem, usufruam bastante dessa oportunidade”, finaliza. Mais informações sobre as empresas juniores podem ser obtidas nos centros de ensino ou com a Proex pelo e-mail [email protected]. Bueno, tal vez si tenga que ver con G. Más de lo que yo creo. La semana pasada me enojé porque no se hace un rato para que hagamos algo juntos y esta semana era martes y ya sabía que en todo el fin de semana no íbamos a tener ni medio plan juntos.
Estoy un poco cansada de los compromisos y las obligaciones. Creo que también el hecho de que el fin de semana nos toca ir si o si al departamento a hacer cosas, también me angustia. Mi papá está con que si quiero podemos ir mañana a la tarde, yo dudo.
No sé si quiero ir mañana. Mañana es mi día tranquilo. Me lo merezco.
A la mañana entrego lo de Q y me lo saco de encima por unos días.
Ojalá les guste lo que armé y lo cierren ahí y le den curso al tema del logo que dato no menor ya lo desarrollé, sin querer antes.
Violeta se baja , y se va algún lado. Cuando está conmigo estoy más tranquila en general me duermocuando ella viene y me ronronea.
Se nota lo tarde que es porque veo cada vez peor las letras y las palabras se convierten en un empastado que me cuesta distinguir letra por letra, no puedo enfocar.
En fin.
Veré si puedo continuar mi novela, y sino aquí estaré en un rato, de nuevo a ver si escribiendo vuelvo a mi eje y puedo dormir.
This week's post is not as I expected, but I am excited to do it anyway. I had to disassemble my first printer (from 2018) to make way for the new one that is coming, and it seems like a good time to remember everything I lived with it (and that people do not make my same mistakes) and all the changes I made. Photos 1-3: My first printer was a Prusa i3 clone, super cheap, which as you can expect ... It wasn't a big deal. The structure was made of plywood and that added a lot of vibrations (Z-wobble for those who understand more) to the prints. I tried everything: printing parts to decouple the Z-axis, changing it... But in the end the most effective thing was to reinforce the structure. In 2020, while the confinement due to covid, I participated with my Ender in a project to make equipment for the protection of health personnel, and I decided to fix the Prusa, at that time inoperative, to go faster. That's when I added the iron bars to reinforce the structure, which is what worked. I used 1.5 kg of filament a day making visors, whose photo is lost on my Instagram account. As you can see, I chose blue as the main color for the Prusa, just as for the Ender I have red, because I like to have them decorated uniformly. The new printer will also be red, so it seems that I chose well having red as the basis of my logo. And well, also comment that two of the rods that are seen in the structure are the Z-axe of the printer itself, which I changed them for trapezoidal spindles (no, it did not bring them before, just as I put the union between axes and motor because the one it brought was a piece of shabby plastic). Photos 4-5: Some improvements I made separately. The first is a tensioner for the Y axis (the one it brought did not work) and the second is a guide for the filament I designed. Since the printer had nowhere to leave the filament coil, I had the holder for the coil on a shelf above the printer, and with the guidance I made sure it fell on the extruder. NASA technology, as you see. Photos 6-7: Here we enter electronics/electricity. First, a MOSFET that had to be put in at that time, because if you didn't put it the risk of the hot bed start a fire... Super safe everything. The second thing, as silly as it sounds, is that I put a switch on the printer. No, it did not bring one, the plug cables went directly to the power supply. There was one of the reasons why this printer was so cheap. Photos 8-9: The most observant people will have noticed that the printer does not have an extruder, since I did not use it after COVID, there came a time when I said "what if I transform it into a CNC machine?". And so I did, attaching a Dremel-style rotary tool to it. I think I only used it for the smiley face testing if it worked, but hey, I have fun adapting the hardware and software. Photo 10: And finally... We say goodbye. I plan to reuse all the components for other things, that's why it doesn't taste so bad to disassemble it, but I do have good memories spending hours with this printer. Of course, as much as I have learned with it, I strongly recommend with this type of technology to inform yourself well in advance and invest a little more to make sure you have something in conditions. En español:
El post de esta semana no es como esperaba, pero me hace ilusión hacerlo igualmente. He tenido que desmontar mi primera impresora (de 2018) para dar paso a la nueva que está por llegar, y me parece un buen momento para recordar todo lo que viví con ella (y que la gente no cometa mis mismos errores) y todos los cambios que le hice.
Fotos 1-3: Mi primera impresora fue una Prusa i3 clónica, super baratilla, que como podéis esperar… No era gran cosa. La estructura era de contrachapado y eso añadía muuuchas vibraciones (wobble para quien entienda más) a las impresiones. Probé de todo: a imprimir piezas para desacoplar el eje Z, a cambiárselo… Pero al final lo más efectivo fue reforzar la estructura.
En 2020, en pleno confinamiento por el covid, participé con mi Ender en un proyecto para hacer equipamiento para protección del personal sanitario, y decidí apañar la prusa, en ese momento inoperativa, para ir más rápido. Fue entonces cuando le añadí las barras de hierro para reforzar la estructura, que fue lo que funcionó. Gastaba 1,5 kg de filamento al día haciendo viseras, cuya foto está por ahí perdida en mi cuenta de Instagram.
Como podéis apreciar, elegí el azul como color principal para la Prusa, igual que para la Ender tengo el rojo, porque me gusta tenerlas decoradas uniformemente. La nueva impresora también será roja, así que parece que elegí bien teniendo el color rojo como base de mi logo. Y bueno, comentar también que dos de las varillas que se ven en la estructura son los propios ejes de la impresora, que se los cambié por husillos trapezoidales (no, no traía de antes, igual que le puse yo la unión entre ejes y motor porque la que traía era un trozo de plástico cutre).
Fotos 4-5: Algunas mejoras que hice aparte. La primera es un tensor para el eje Y (el que traía no funcionaba) y la segunda es una guía para el filamento que me diseñé. Como la impresora no tenía donde dejar la bobina de filamento, tenía el soporte para la bobina en una estantería sobre la impresora, y con la guía me aseguraba de que cayese sobre el extrusor. Tecnología de la NASA, vamos.
Fotos 6-7: Aquí entramos en electrónica/electricidad. Primero, un MOSFET que había que poner por aquel entonces, porque si no corrías el riesgo de que la cama caliente echase a arder… Super seguro todo. Lo segundo, por tonto que parezca, es que le puse un interruptor a la impresora. Porque no, no traía, los cables del enchufe iban directamente pelados a la fuente de alimentación. Por algo era tan barata esta impresora.
Fotos 8-9: Las personas más observadoras se habrán dado cuenta de que la impresora no tiene extrusor, y es que como no la usaba después de lo del COVID, llegó un momento en el que dije “¿y si la transformo en una máquina CNC?”. Y así lo hice, acoplándole una herramienta giratoria estilo Dremel. Creo que sólo la usé para la carita sonriente de prueba de si funcionaba, pero oye, ¿y lo bien que me lo pasé adaptando el hardware y el software?
Foto 10: Y finalmente… Decimos adiós. Pienso reaprovechar todos los componentes para otras cosas, por eso no me sabe tan mal desmontarla, pero sí que tengo buenos recuerdos echando horas con esta impresora. Eso sí, por mucho que haya aprendido con ella, recomiendo encarecidamente con este tipo de tecnologías informarse bien previamente e invertir un poquito más para asegurarse de tener algo en condiciones.
