Umbrella ☔ (Sato Keigo- JO1)
Comfort/Fluff
Tumblr media
--------------
"Hey, I know it's out of the blue, but can I come over right now?"
She re-read Keigo's text before peeking out from under the fort of duvets and covers she had made for herself to look at the pouring rain and wild winds outside her window.
"How? It's practically a hurricane outside!" she replied.
Her phone vibrated again seconds later.
"I'm in the hurricane."
"What?!" She jumped up to look at the rain again, letting her blanket fall off her shoulders.
"Please?" he sent a sticker with a dog begging.
"Come quickly and be careful!"
"Thanks!"
She glanced around at her set up and briefly wondered how she could hide all of it before Keigo reached her apartment. She began to hastefully pick up some things but minutes later, her drenched boyfriend was buzzing the intercom.
"That was fast!" She exclaimed to herself aloud, much faster than she had hoped. She reluctantly dropped the items in her hands to press the button, letting him into the building.
A knock let her know that Keigo had reached in front of her apartment. She opened the door and he slipped inside like a tall wet cat.
"Hey, thanks for letting me in." He kissed her briefly then shivered slightly as pushed his wet bangs out of his eyes and kicked off his shoes putting down the large bag he was carrying. He was soaked to the bone but his smile was far too radiant and carefree for someone who was running around outside in a big storm.
She would be lying if she said that she wasn't happy to see her silly, lovable boyfriend but his timing tonight was awful.
"What were you doing outside in this weather?" She exclaimed worriedly while handing him a towel. He opened his mouth to answer but sneezed instead.
She huffed-talking would have to wait. "I ran a bath for you, get in it before you catch a cold!" She urged him towards the bathroom while pulling off his heavy wet coat.
"Thanks, you're the best." He chuckled, letting himself get led to the bathroom. He pushed back his bangs again and patted her head before going inside. She smiled wryly to herself as she put his coat on the rack before going to find him something to wear and another towel.
After picking out an old tracksuit he had given to her previously, she went back to the bathroom but before she could knock, Keigo opened the door again.
"Trying to sneak a peek?" Keigo grinned, leaning against the doorway, "You could have just asked you know." He tilted so that his shirtless body was closer to her. Rain water was slowly dripping down his chest and the steam produced by his body and the bath, practically made a haze around him, making it harder for her to think straight. The small smirk growing on his face let her know that he knew the effect he was having and was enjoying it.
"I got you some dry clothes and another towel Muscle Head." She blushed and avoided his gaze while forcefully thrusting the items into his hands.
"Thank you!" He smiled brightly at her reaction and re-adjusted against the frame to whisper in her ear. "Even though I don't know why you would cover your favourite art piece."
"Go bathe." She burned brighter and pushed him back in the bathroom. Keigo laughed but complied.
"I saw that smile! Don't hesitate if you change your mind!" He winked before closing the door and she rolled her eyes but her cheeks betrayed her.
She went to her living room, fanning herself to distract herself from how flustered his teasing had left her before remembering her earlier mission of packing up the most obvious signs of her storm set up. While she worked, the storm rose again in intensity and she hurriedly pulled her last curtain, while longing for a home with shutters.
By the time Keigo came out drying his hair with the towel, it just looked like a very cosy night in with lots of blankets. He smiled, letting the towel sit on his shoulders and slipped his arms around her.
"Sorry again for coming over like this." Keigo grinned sheepishly and pecked her lips. She looked down at his showing ankles that the tracksuit didn't reach and giggled before melting into his embrace.
"I won't press charges." She kissed him back with a small smile on her lips, "I guess you'll have to stay overnight now."
Keigo grinned wider against her lips "Oh no!" he mumbled, eyes twinkling with mischief as he stole another kiss.
"You could at least act like you have some remorse!" She giggled and squashed his cheeks. "So tell me, exactly why were you outside in the rain? Everyone knew that it was going to be a stormy night."
"Well..." He began with his face still smooched in her hands, "I was walking in the area after work and the storm came faster than I thought. I got caught in it and then I remembered that you live nearby." He scratched the back of his head and chuckled nervously.
Work? In this area? She looked at him questioningly and he tried to shrug it off while shifting nervously. She decided to let his shifty behaviour slide, after all, she was also withholding information tonight.
"How typical of you Sato Keigo. I told you to be careful of the weather today!" She ruffled his hair and let go of his face.
He stuck out his tongue and leaned in for another kiss when an extra loud clap of thunder made them both jump.
"Steady" Keigo's hands tightened around her waist to stop her from falling over.
"T-thanks." She blushed while trembling like a leaf. She sighed and looked at the window nervously. She had hoped to tell him about her fear of storms when she was ready but now she just felt backed into a corner by the tempest itself.
A flash of lightning made her move to cover her ears in anticipation of the next rumble of thunder, feeling all too exposed without her fort.
Keigo was faster than her and covered her ears for her."I've got you. It's my fault that you had to come out of your fort anyways."
So he had noticed it!
She looked up at him, surprised and he just smiled mutedly back at her.
Before she could say anything the thunder rumbled again and the wind made the lights flicker. She cowered even more but Keigo pulled her closer, letting her bury her face into his chest.
"Shhhh it's alright." He patted her back gently while she tried to calm herself down again, tears streaming down her face. "Just breathe with me."
He took a deep breath, held it for five seconds then let it out again. The sound of his steady heartbeat became a reassuring sound to focus on until she could join him in taking deep breaths.
He brought her back to her pile of blankets and sat down with her on his lap, wrapping her in many layers. He rested his chin on her head and began to sing Kimi no Mama for her in his beautiful voice to help her forget about being scared.
When a break in the storm came, he kissed her forehead and pulled his bag closer to them.
"Let's turn off the lights. I've brought some cool lamps instead."
"Lamps?" She mumbled weakly, while he shifted to take them out.
He pulled out two lamps from his bag. One that casts a soft but strong light and another that could change colour or have patterns. "That would be much better than flickering lights or darkness." He smiled gently and all she could only stare in amazement at how he seemed to have read her like an open book.
She glanced in the bag and she welled up with emotion when she saw the other items inside. They were all things that could be used to distract her. "Keigo..."
It was obvious that he had packed the bag and was outside in the rain for her.
"How did you know?" She leaned on his chest "and what if something had happened to you? Even a cold could be bad for you! You didn't need to come, I'm generally fine by myself... eventually." She mumbled and played with his hands, not daring to look at him directly.
Keigo shook his head "Nothing could have stopped me getting to you and I'm stronger than the rain you know!" He nudged her and patted her head gently. "I figured it out recently and I was trying to be quiet about it because you didn't seem to want me to know about it but I couldn't leave you to cower all night while knowing. You mean far too much to me." He shifted to watch her face, "I'm glad that you're worried about me but when I saw the blankets when I arrived, I knew that I had made the right decision. You always try to do everything by yourself but you can rely on me too. I'm always here for you."
She felt tears shaping once more in her eyes "Sorry for not letting you be there for me Keigo." She hugged him, "I was going to tell you at some point but I just found it too embarrassing to be this scared at this age and I figured that I had it in check so yeah..." She trailed off at the end.
Keigo kissed her temple and frowned "Did you think I would make fun of you for that?"
She shrugged and tightened her arms around him, taking in his scent and he held her tight too burying his face in her neck.
"I would never."
"I believe you."
They stayed like that for a while before he started blowing bubbles in her neck to make her laugh.
"Stop it!" She laughed, throwing herself back in his arms. He grinned and wiped the tears from her eyes for her. She grabbed his face and showered Keigo with kisses which he gave back eagerly. He stood up, lifting her with him, she wrapped her legs around his waist and he went to turn off the lights.
They bundled up together on the couch in the dim lights where he continued to show her his love for her and she replied.
Later he fed her favorite snacks and turned on a dvd player he had brought with him.
"You have everything in that bag but a change of clothes!" She teased before taking another bite "But I have to say that I'm surprised that Sho or Ren didn't stop you from going out."
"Maybe that was a part of my plan!" Keigo winked and she slapped his chest making him cackle. "I was too far out the door before I realised that I didn't have anything. Also, Sho probably would have stopped me if he knew but Shion and Junki helped me sneak out."
"Typical, they are the best partners in crime." She chucked and played with his top. "You might have to leave more clothes here."
"Let's go shopping tomorrow for some." He kissed her and she nodded. "I want some of your things in my apartment too." He rubbed her cheek with his thumb and she smiled.
"Why are you the sweetest thing that's ever happened to me?" She groaned while covered her eyes and Keigo chuckled before nuzzling his face in her neck.
"Because I'm your lemon candy." He smiled lopsidedly "Remember the lyrics? If it's raining, I'll be your umbrella so no more secrets? I want to know everything about you." He kissed her hand then her lips again.
"No more secrets." She confirmed "I love you too Gira." She kissed him back.
Another bolt of lightning struck and she flinched "I'm afraid that I'm not going to be much fun tonight." She sighed but he stroked her hair while his other hand stayed around her.
"That's okay, that's my job" He winked.
She let her hands slide around his strong back and closed her eyes. He kept her in his arms all night, telling her stories and pulling her closer whenever she jumped.
When she finally fell asleep, Keigo smiled softly at her peaceful face resting on his chest. He kissed her head and closed his eyes resting his head on hers.
They both rested peacefully knowing that they could better face whatever the future threw at them from now on.

➻ Genre: Some Fluff & Some Angst

Shogo sat watching Giselle on her balcony, downing her wine, seemingly upset. Her boyfriend of three years once again stood her up. This time though, it was deplorable. Her birthday was supposed to be a big celebration, surrounded by her friends and those she considered family. He growled under his breath, waiting for a miracle to happen, for Takashi to actually think of someone other than himself. Shogo and Elle had spent a lot of time together, going shopping, eating at her favorite restaurants, watching her favorite movies. She was the one person he wanted nothing more than to be with. Her boyfriend was treating her wrong, which irked his soul like no other, but he wasn't about to over step his boundaries. He felt there was a spark between them, but knew that Giselle was torn.
Misaki, Zin’s girlfriend looked over as she saw the sight. She walked out towards Giselle, placing a hand on her shoulder. She looked at Misaki with a half smile.
“Elle, you know you don’t have to take this from him.”
“Misa, he’s working, I can't condemn him for that.”
“Just like Valentine’s day right?”
Giselle took a sip, thinking of how Misa was right. He had avoided spending time with her on Valentine’s day. Blaming it on work, but on social media, was with his friends. Instead, Shogo spent the evening with her to make her feel better. She looked out seeing the lights illuminate the streets, annoyed by his lack of consideration once more. Just once, Giselle wanted him to match her energy. Misa developed a deep bond with Giselle when they met, due to Giselle being important to Shogo.
She looked over at Shogo. By all actions he was the one she should've picked. He acted more like her partner than Takeshi. She still remembered that day at the restaurant when Shogo and Takeshi got into it. They didn't know she was in the booth behind them.
“Takeshi, thank you for hearing me out. I just want to know why you keep Giselle when your actions scream you don't want her.”
The tapping stopped as Takeshi placed his phone down. “Iwata is it?”
“It’s Iwaya.”
“Right. Women like Giselle need to be in a relationship to feel like they have some meaning in their useless, mundane life. You see, I’m actually doing her a favor by keeping her; regardless if I ghost her.”
“Useless life? You pompous little prick. Giselle deserves better than this game your playing with her heart. She deserves the world and someone who would build theirs around her.”
“She's independent, so she'll survive.”
Shogo clinched his fists, he had a mind to drive his hand through Takeshi’s face, if it wouldn't hurt Giselle. “I hope one day you don’t realize how much of an asshole you are, so she can invest time into someone who truly cares about her!” His yell silenced the restaurant.
“I doubt she will. You see, even if our love is one-sided, she won't leave me; Giselle is too nice to ‘hurt me’,” he chuckled, “Now, why don't you two go prance your way back to the studio where you belong.” He picked his phone back up shooing them away.
Shogo stood up quickly, Zin pulling him back from making a mistake that could hurt his image. They left furious.
When Giselle came back to reality, she sighed. The pain she felt afterwards was worse than anything that had happened to her. She downed the last of her wine as she was going to make a change. Grabbing a box she went to her room throwing all of Takeshi’s items in it. Misa followed her slightly confused on what her friend had in mind.
“He said I was too nice, and my life is useless without him. I’ll show him.”
“Hell yes Elle!” Misa threw her glass down shattering it. “Shit. Sorry Elle, I got too wrapped up in the moment.” She grabbed a broom cleaning up her mess.
Giselle giggled, as she had other onlookers coming to see what the ruckus was. She focused on her task at hand though, filling up the box quickly. Shogo stood at the door leaning into the frame. He was glad she was making this decision, but wondered why the sudden change of heart with her. He overheard her tell Misa, word for word, what Takeshi said to him. Shogo never disclosed that tidbit of information, to try and protect Giselle of a broken heart.
Throwing the last article in the box, Giselle felt a slight weight lifting from her shoulders. It was well past time for her to cut ties, and start anew. She grabbed the box as Misa skipped besides her.
“Do you need a ride?” Shogo stopped her.
“Only if you don't mind, if not I can get a taxi or Uber.”
Zin grabbed Misaki’s hand as they decided to join. This was going to be a group effort. Giselle knew the code to his apartment, her plan was to drop it off as his house while he wasn’t there. Takeshi was supposed to be working, but she wasn’t prepared for what was to come.
Silently, they walked down the hall to his apartment, to not disturb the other residents. She typed in the code as the door unlocked, to sounds of moaning. Anger filled Giselle as her fists clinched tightly, turning her knuckles white. She slammed open his door seeing Takeshi on top of another woman. She grabbed the closest thing to her as she pelted it across the room hitting him in the back of the head. The girl screeched trying to cover up, rage coursing through Giselle's body.
“Seriously Takeshi?” Her yell startled everyone. “Your stuff is in the living room. You can play your stupid games with this broad.”
She shoved past everyone wanting to leave. She had feared this day would come, but wasn’t sure when or if she’d ever catch him in the act. Takeshi threw his legs over the side, rubbing his head. It was a surprise she didn’t crack his skull. He followed her outside trying to talk to her.
“Giselle, wait,” he grabbed her arm turning her around.
“I have nothing else to say to you, you’re not my problem anymore.”
He slammed her door, “Will you let me talk? I'm sorry.”
“Fuck off, you're only sorry you got caught. You have been the worst boyfriend. Cheating on me on my birthday? You showed you have no couth, many times, and I’m not lowering myself any longer to a tool like you. I deserve better than what you give me. Go back to her, she's more important.” She turned to Shogo, “Take me away from here please.”
“You’re making a big mistake! I won't take you back,” Takeshi was furious he lost Giselle.
“You don't have to worry about that, because that will never be up for discussion.”
After the long drive of silence, they arrived back at her apartment. Everyone was still there, but she proceeded to her room. She wanted to gather her emotions before she faced anyone; Misa included. She was right all along, but Giselle was living in the clouds. At this point, she didn't even know why. The breakup went a lot better, and she wasn't that hurt from it, so she didn't know why she was in the dumps about it. Shogo entered her room sitting at the foot of her bed. She turned her head slightly, not completely meeting eye contact with him.
“How did you know what he said about you, that day at the restaurant?”
“I was there, I was meeting a client for lunch when I heard the discussion. After you left, I called them and scheduled else where.”
Shogo dropped his head. The hateful words he tried to protect her from, inevitably found their way to her.
“I hope you aren't mad at me for not telling you.”
She smirked, “Why would I be mad at you? You tried to protect me, I can't be angry.”
He scooted closer to her, “But that was for naught, because you ended up hurt anyways.”
“You're not the one who hurt me. You've never hurt me, and I know you never will. This is just something I had to learn for myself. I'm better off without him anyways,” she stood up, “let's go. Everyone is about to leave.”
Shogo followed her out as Elle's apartment was emptying. He was stopped suddenly by her, confused on what she needed.
“Shogo, can you stay? I want to be around my best friend.”
He looked back at his friends as he ushered them to leave without him. He locked the door for the night as they relaxed on the couch. Giselle brought blankets and pillows for them, since they were having a night together. They only got through a full movie, before Elle passed out. Shogo laid in front of her covering her shoulders up, tucking her more in.
A smile formed on her lips as she looked at him, noticing he was almost hanging off the couch.
“Aren’t you afraid of falling?”
“I already have,” he nudged closer to her.
When Giselle woke up, she noticed the house being quiet.
Hmm. Did you really leave without saying goodbye Sho? She collected her thoughts walking through the house. Suddenly, she heard her keys jingle outside of the door. Right when she opened it, she saw a whole new Shogo. Sure, he was dressed the same with a snack hanging out his mouth, and his hand full of groceries, but he was different. The whole aura that surrounded him was enchanting. She rushed to help empty his hands, looking away suddenly. It was for sure written on her forehead how extremely gorgeous he was to her. She placed the groceries down before heading to the bathroom.
Giselle stood in front of the mirror as she was in complete shock, how she never noticed him before. She always looked at him, but not like that. The smile that he gave her, behind the snack, was burning through her mind, taking up space rent free. The cold water felt awesome, helping calm her down. She heard a light knock, followed by his sweet voice.
“Ellie, I’m gonna make you breakfast. That’s why I was gone, I hope I didn't upset you.”
Even the way he said her name had a nice ring to it now. She inhaled slowly opening the door.
“I’m not upset, was just curious where you were, that’s all.”
“Are you sure you’re okay? You seem kinda far off like something is bothering you.”
“I promise I'm fine Sho. Do you need help?”
He shook his head abruptly, “Nope that would make the point, of me making you breakfast, obsolete if I had your help. You can just keep me company.”
She smiled following him to the kitchen. Him being there made her feel better. Giselle sat at her bar watching him whip together her favorite, a sausage omelet. Hardly anyone knew that she loved them so much, she was impressed that he did. Shogo noticed her staring at him through his peripherals, he smirked as his back was to her.
“Are you going to ask me or not,” He broke her trance.
“Ask what?”
“How I knew.”
She looked over at the window, knowing he could read her mind at this point. “I’m curious.”
“I know you like the back of my hand. I wouldn’t be your best friend if I didn’t know what you liked; or what makes you the saddest, but you choose to hold it in. I'm also observant and receptive of your emotions, and just hope that I'm never in the same room while your heart shatters.”
“Sho-"
“I mean that, it controls my mood. Your emotions controls my mood,” He placed a beautifully arranged omelet in front of her with a cup or coffee.
She slowly bit a piece as her taste buds were in full ecstasy at the moment. Giselle placed her fork down, trying to come up with the words to tell Shogo how she was feeling. Everything that she rehearsed in her mind, sounded so much better there. It wasn’t that she didn’t like him, she was just scared with everything that recently happened.
“Sho, I-"
“I didn’t tell you all this for you to feel pressured to say you like me back. I just wanted to let you know that you don’t have to look very far if you want someone who cares.”
He sat down with his own plate eating, glancing at his watch. It was getting close for him to have to leave, but for the first time, he was dreading going.
“If you have to leave Sho, you can. I don’t expect your life to be put on pause for what happened. I won’t mind, I might even take a nap.”
He smiled his half smile, nodding his head. He was going to finish his plate first. They ate in silence, before he stood up to excuse himself. Giselle jumped up wrapping her arms around him.
“Thank you Sho. You’re always the one to stay by my side.”
“Always. Now get some rest. Text me later if you need me,” He lightly cupped his hand around her face.
Giselle nodded sending him on his way. From the moment he left, she replayed his words in her head. Over and over like a record stuck on one song. Every time she tried to lay back down, he ran through her mind. Her phone went off seeing Misa’s notifications. She was bored at the studio and wanted Elle’s presence there.
At first it seemed like a bad idea, not wanting to bother or distract Shogo, but then again she noticed a difference when he wasn't around. Also, she would be there for Misa, not just to see him so it would be okay. Sure, it’d be a bonus, but she was going to do her part of their friendship. Giselle looked in the mirror, getting freshened up. Her clothes were waiting on her to make her final decision, as she stood wondering what he'd like her in. Misa sent another series of texts telling her to hurry up, just as she finished dressing. She grabbed her keys heading to the studio.
Their songs could be heard down the hallway, as her heart sped up. She got to the door as she froze, hand stopping just before she reached the handle. She was blocking the door as she couldn’t put it in motion to turn it. A hand placed on hers drew her back to reality.
“You okay Ellie?” Shogo was glistening from dancing so hard.
“Sho,” she brushed her hair behind her ear, “what a coincidence that you’re here.”
He grinned lowering his eyes in confusion. “Yeah this is kind of like my second home. You gonna come in?” He helped turn the handle as Misa pulled her in.
Shogo went back to formation as he chuckled. It was apparent that Giselle was becoming bashful around him, he thought it was cute.
“I’m glad I wasn’t bleeding out, it took you long enough Elle.”
Elle nodded not hearing what was said. Misa snapped in her face. “Misa, when did you know Zin was the one for you.”
“Hey whoa. You have to get your own, he’s mine.”
“What? No, I didn’t mean it like that, I don’t see Zin like that I promise.”
Misa was splitting at the side with how worked up Giselle seemed. “Relax, I know he’s not the one you’re inquiring about. It’s about Sho isn’t it?”
“I’m actually not sure. I just feel really different around him. Something has definitely changed between us, but we haven't done anything differently.”
“Maybe you’re finally letting him into your heart.”
Giselle looked over at Sho seeing him laughing with the others. His smile was quite calming to her.
“I guess. I also find it weird I'm not upset about ending things with Takeshi.”
“Elle, he was a tool. The one that's perfect for you, hasn't been able to keep his eyes off of you since you met.”
Shogo looked over at Elle. He did look at her in the most adorning way, but she was clouded by horrible decisions. Zin pushed him forward to talk to her, since they decided to take a break. He laid his head in her lap causing her to gasp. Elle placed her hand on his head, subconsciously stroking his hair.
“Are you planning on staring at me the entire time you’re here?”
A smirk curved Elle’s lips. He caught her glancing, even while dancing.
“If it’s an issue I can stop.”
He opened his eyes gazing into hers. “You do and I’ll never forgive you.”
A light shade of pink crept across her face. It took her so long to realize that her true love was disguised as her best friend. He never made her feel less about herself. If she ever needed him, he was there on a drop of the dime. With all the chaos that ever surrounded her, he was the peace. Shogo was her tranquility, simply put. Her eyes were wide open now, and she wasn't going to lose him.
There was a risk for them taking their friendship to a whole new level, but he was worth it. To her, he was worth everything.
“Can we talk after you guys are done?”
“Of course Ellie,” He raised up inches away from her face, “Where at?”
“My apartment.”
Shogo nodded as he returned to the group. Elle was nervous to talk to him about them and where they were going to go, but she felt it was necessary. She just hoped that what he said earlier, he meant it. Back home she had an elaborate plan to cook for him. Elle made spaghetti for him, since it was his favorite dish of hers, homemade garlic bread included. Just as she pulled out the bread, her door opened. Shogo looked refreshed, getting a shower in before coming to her.
“You can literally smell this down the hallway,” He smiled sitting down at the bar in front of her.
Elle smirked as she cut the bread. Her sauce was his favorite, and she had a way with the meatballs she made. He wasn't much on them, but hers was his favorite. Elle made his plate sitting it in front of him. He leaned over taking the fork as he dug in. Finally, she sat down to eat. The meal was quiet, but it gave her a chance to gather her thoughts.
“You okay Ellie?”
“Iwaya, I have to be honest. What’s on my mind is scarier than any thoughts that have crossed it,” she continued to look down.
By this time, she had his full attention. She got nervous as she looked up at Sho, feeling like a weight was about to be lifted off her shoulders.
“If whatever you’re thinking is causing you turmoil, you don't have to tell me right now.”
“You need to know Shogo, that when I go to bed, I think of you. When I wake, if I don't see a message from you, I get this weird feeling. I feel a sense of happiness when you are around me. You have always been my person and I'm sorry I haven't noticed before. I don't want to look past you any longer.”
He smiled turning their chairs to face each other. “Are you confessing to me?”
“I am but I'm scared. I'm scared of what might happen to us.”
“The only thing that will happen is we will work out what ever is headed our way. If you love me, and I know I love you, then nothing will go wrong,” He ran his thumbs along her cheeks trying to dry her trailing tears. “Ellie, I will never break your heart. And these tears you’re crying, I will dry up the best of my ability. All we can do is take it one day at a time.”
Elle placed her hand on his, intertwining their fingers. His touch was soft and gentle.
“I love you Iwaya.”
He placed an adorning kiss on her forehead, “I love you Giselle.”
They closed the space between them. She finally had the happiness she had been searching for, it was just hidden in plain sight all along.

kawaii yankee
mareo ran out the house, slinging his bag on his back and throwing his tie to the side, running towards the school. entering the school and running to his class, he sat down in the back next to the window.
the teacher came in once everyone was settled and introduced mareo as the new student, giving him awkward or fearful claps. "ah mareo, your last name is nishikawa?" the homeroom teacher said as everyone gasped and whispered about how he was the sibling of the infamous nishikawa brothers. his blonde hair is what threw them off. nobody in this class had dyed hair.
sighing and sitting back down for his first two classes, mareo took notes and paid attention in class, not wanting to give up the image his brothers had given the family. thank god for the help of hakaku getting him to be in class 2-B so their parents won't say anything and the class he's more comfortable with, 2-F.
"mareo, right? how come we've never heard of you until now? were you homeschooled?" one of the girls named kara asked, curious about his background and association with the family. "i'm adopted. they adopted me a few days ago." mareo replied as he laughed awkwardly, looking up to see all the girls that had surrounded them and teared up at his story. slipping away from the group of crying females, mareo went into the bathroom and opened up his jacket, messing his hair up to free it from its clean combed look.
exiting the bathroom, mareo made his way to the classroom. opening the door to the classroom, he smiled and nodded his head satisfied. "this is it." he said to himself as he made his way towards naoya, sneaking behind him.
"yo, what'd i miss?" he asked as he slung his arm around his best friend and sat next to him with his signature grin. grabbing his heart in surprise, naoya laughed and smacked mareo's back happily. "ma-kun! i thought you were never going to show. you finally escaped that good kid class?" he asked as the two watched the fight in front of them as if it was a usual day back at the orphanage. "well the teachers already know about my discomfort in being in smart class with them. i'll only attend the vital classes up there and then come down for the rest of the classes i need to 'take' to be in the same grade as the rest. it's stupid as shit. also, this fight is getting boring, i'm jumping in." mareo said as he finished the piece of jerky he stole from naoya's snack bag. getting up and going towards the circle, mareo entered and beat whoever was fighting, coming back to sit next to naoya who only laughed and high five his friend.
"a little slower than usual but still it was as expected. charge yourself to a hundred percent before you beat my speed, loser." naoya said as he whispered the last part quietly to the other who only grunted. "oi, who're you to be sitting next to boss, huh?" one of the kids asked as he got up in his face. sticking his foot out and pushing him back, mareo sighed as put his foot down. "because we've been best friends since we were little. also, he's better than me. speed, not so much." naoya said in a teasing tone. "mess with him and you'll be dealing with me." he finished off, just as the teacher entered and yelled at them.
"i left for a little bit and this is what i come back to?" souta yelled as the door slammed shut behind him and everyone scrambled to fix their desks and naoya shoved mareo into one of the cabinets, attempting to hide him from his brother. "i'll text you so you won't feel as lonely. now stay quiet." naoya said as he turned away and sat in his seat with a sad groan.
cursing mentally and slamming his head against the cabinet wall, mareo quickly covered his mouth to keep from gasping in shock, forgetting he was in hiding. pulling out his phone that read a message from naoya.
i'll kill you if you make any more noise. he's already suspicious about what we did before he came.
as the class ended and everyone in the classroom waited for satou to walk out, they scrambled to get mareo out from the cramped space. "oi, hurry and get him out of there!" everyone screamed out as they threw the desks and ripped open the cabinet door. crawling out and gasping for the cold air, everyone put ice cream towards his neck to cool him down.
"hey ma-kun. i guess you and i are going to be partners from now on. the old hag told me to partner with you for the job. here." naoya said as he showed the phone they were given by the orphanage, showing the profile of the people they were to assassinate. "well, there's no escaping it now. we'll do it on friday. i don't want to do it anytime soon." mareo said as the two of them grabbed the snacks from the lunch line, gaining the attention of the students that were in there.
noticing some people from his 2-B class were in the cafeteria, mareo quickly walked out and kept his head down before they caused problems and his brothers heard what the commotion was. "damn this school is so tight-knit." he groaned as he sat on one of the stair steps with naoya. "be quiet, you two are hurting my ears." a kid coming up the stairs said as the two stood up and threw their snacks down, grabbing the male by his collar. "say it again you dumbass." mareo said as he pushed the other guy up against the stair wall that was keeping him from being throw over so easily.
"calm your horses, i'm just trying to take a nap. the name's ruka. i'll keep your secret safe with me." ruka said as he released the grip on his collar. "also, you don't want the kids in your class to know right? then i'd hurry and get back so you won't get exposed. sounds like the girls are wondering what happened to the ikemen* in their class." eyes widening in realization, mareo snapped his head towards naoya who only panicked and started shoving some of the snacks in mareo's bag. "let's go. we gotta go. help me fix my clothes! am i bleeding?" he shrieked as ruka screamed at the same time as the other two. "oi, why do i have to help?"
screaming for everyone to clear the way, naoya, ruka, and mareo ran through the halls, shoving him into the bathroom to help him fix his clothes and gather his books. "see you tomorrow!" mareo shouted halfway up the stairs, running back to class 2-B.
making sure his hair looked good as he ran up the stairs to exit school since it was done, he bumped into someone and rubbed his head from the impact. "oi, look where you're going or step aside you fucking dumbass!" mareo yelled as he looked up and gasped, covering his mouth before turning to run back down the stairs.
sprinting into the classroom, naoya raised a brow as he saw mareo return and smack everyone out the way to hide behind a cabinet. that was until he heard the angry footsteps and the classroom door slam open. it felt like naoya turned his head in slow motion as he looked over to see who was at the door before his eyes widened and he jumped up to smash the cabinet against mareo in an attempt to hide him. out of all people it had to be him.
nishikawa souta.
"where is he?" souta asked as he walked over calmly and sat in the chair next to the stand, waiting for an answer from the wall of boys in front of him who looked side to side or at the ground. "hm?" souta questioned again, raising his brow as he stood up and smacked the podium.
praying quietly that he wouldn't get caught, mareo shrunk himself the best he could. suddenly seeing a bright light, mareo opened his eyes to take a small peek and was met with the face of satou who only gave him a smile that had sinister intent hidden behind it. "yo, ototo.* i didn't know you were also in my class. how come i didn't see you until now? hm?" he asked as he grabbed the other by the ear to yank him out from the small space he was in. yelling in pain, mareo tapped satou's hand repeatedly.
after being released from his iron grip, mareo sighed as he explained everything to his brother who only hummed and leaned against the railing of the rooftop. "so, hakaku nii-chan helped you be enrolled in both classes? does benjiro nii know about this?" satou asked as he squatted down in curiosity. shaking his head no, mareo looked at the ground and shifted the weight on his feet. "i'm sorry about earlier. i didn't realize it was you, satou-san." he said as he looked down with a slight mumble. "san? i'm your older brother idiot. older brother. call me ani or nii-chan. something like that." satou said as he stood up and stretched. "come on, let's go home. i also expect to see you in class tomorrow. no funny shit." following satou out and rolling his eyes. "this is my former yankee intuition but i know that you rolled your eyes. do you want the shit smacked out of you?" satou questioned as the two of them walked back to the house, ignoring everyone who was whispering about them.
as they entered the house, their mom greeted them with a smile before turning away to finish cooking the food she had in the pan she brought over. putting his shoes away neatly, mareo stormed into his room, irritated over the school day and how when he thought he was free he gained a mission and also needed to fix his arm he didn't know he busted during his fight at the harbor.
"dammit. this is so much bullshit," mareo grumbled as he changed into sweatpants and started to get to work on his arm. hearing a knock on his door, mareo quickly scrambled to cover up his robotic table and attached his arm. "come in!" he said as he stood up and tried to make himself look normal by grabbing one of his mangas and jumping on the bed, opening to a random page in the book.
entering the room and closing the door, hakaku sat down in the chair at mareo's desk and looked at him. "well, how was it? also did your arm function properly at school today?" he asked as the other closed his book and rolled to look at his brother. "it was fine because benjiro nii-chan is first class and then english was second. still don't understand why i have to attend school when i'm clearly already way ahead than the others." mareo said as hakaku laughed. "for you, it's all about being around kids your age and getting the socialization skills you need."
"that's dumb as shit. i would rather be a hikikomori instead." mareo groaned out as he grabbed his rilakumma plush and squeezed it. "it's me tatsuya with benjiro and souta. we wanted to come hang out with the two of you! you can't be having fun without us!" he shouted as the door was kicked open and a bunch of snacks was brought in. "let's have a hang-out party in mareo's room from now on. it's so big!" tatsuya said with excitement as everyone found a spot in the youngest's room and got comfortable. hakaku shook his head and told mareo they would have their one on one talk later when everyone was asleep.
"hello..nii-chans." mareo struggled to get out, letting the weird taste of that word settle in his mouth. it would take a bit longer for him to get used to it in plural settings instead of one on one like he does with hakaku despite his five days of living in that house. "so i heard that it was your first day of school today. what was it like? tell us!" tatsuya said with excitement as he nudged the younger with his foot, messing up his bed sheet just a tiny bit from his movement.
"school was fun in a way. i get to have benjiro nii-chan when i'm with 2-B and i also get souta nii when i'm in 2-F. FUCK. i mean uh. it's fine. it'll be a while before i can get used to that rich kid school. i also hate the kids in my homeroom. they're ugly and annoying hags. why do they want to know about my relationship that badly? it's not like i was birthed and kept away because i'm the charm and baby of this family." mareo complained as he took a sip of his juice while the others gave each other a knowing look.
"hakaku, he takes after you!" tatsuya laughed as the other retaliated and threw an eraser at the other's head. "shut up, you player." he retorted while everyone laughed. noticing natsu at the door frame, mareo smiled at him and nodded. lifting his hand up to urge him inside, natsu scoffed and rolled his eyes as he walked off with a burning rage inside of him. feeling awkward after their silent conversation, mareo turned his attention back to his other brothers who were playing rock paper scissors to decide who would go first in truth or dare.
who would've known that playing truth or dare with his brothers would collide with meeting naoya who could only laugh at his best friend's appearance. mareo looked way too good as a female. everyone stared at him in awe as he walked down the street and entered the host club with tatsuya who only introduced him as someone who wanted to give the club a trial before deciding on whether or not he wanted to work there.
looking back at his brothers with a worried look on his face, they cheered him on with a terribly hidden laugh, following him in minutes later. as his brothers excluding natsu sat at one of the big booths, they watched as mareo did the hostess job better than the other hostesses, instantly having the best customers ripped away from the top hostesses. "he's good at this job, isn't he?" tatsuya hummed out as the others nodded in agreement.
walking in and yelling with a loud voice, a rowdy group of guys came in and studied the girls, choosing girls they found to their tastes or were just pretty in general. mareo sighed as he saw them walk over to him, sliding into the booth seats next to him on both sides or taking a seat in front of him. "wow you're a pretty girl! when did you arrive?" the group leader asked with a loud voice as he roughly grabbed the other's chin. "please let go of my face." mareo asked softly, using his feminine voice.
souta watched as mareo's face was grabbed roughly and got ready to get up, only to be stopped by benjiro who grabbed his forearm and shook his head. "we'll wait to see if it gets bad. don't want to risk everyone and everything in here. what if mareo and the others get injured because we acted rashly?" the oldest said as souta sat down and bit his nails in worry. they were going to get it if they let anything happen to the boy. after watching mareo host them for over twenty minutes and have his face grabbed, being groped, and berated. "is there nothing we can do? he's literally being abused in front of us and we're like the others, watching in fear." souta said in frustration as he ran his hands through his hair.
mareo got irritated after being groped for so long, he opened up one of the whiskey bottles and took a long swig from it. wiping his mouth and letting out a deep groan, mareo set the tray on the table and slammed the whiskey bottle next to it. he was pissed off in more ways than one. first with natsu hurting his feelings and treating him like he was a piece of shit, the stupid truth or dare game, the dare he was given, on top of other things. "you know, i'm tired of this bullshit. because i'm so fucking pretty, everyone thinks they can get with me or even touch me. but hey you assholes. did you know? i'm not that fucking easy nor do i like people like you." mareo said with a growl as he picked up the whiskey bottle and drank from it again.
getting up and ripping the bottle from his hand, the gangsters looked at him up and down, challenging him. "what'd you say bitch? hah!" one of them said as he raised his hand and smacked mareo. rubbing his cheek and glaring at the guy, mareo steeled himself and made sure his wig was tight on his head. "come at me you fuckers!" he said with his real voice, fighting them off and flipping the table in anger. as mareo fought off the leader, climbing on top of him and continuing to beat him up, mareo let all his anger out. venting and yelling everything that irritated him.
before coming back to his senses and standing up, storming off and letting his feet take him anywhere. "damn this family." he grumbled as he entered a burger place and ignored all the stares he got. as he went up to the counter and ordered two of everything on the menu, he went to choose a seat and threw his phone on the table. leaning his head back in frustration, mareo stared at the ceiling and closed his eyes, waiting for his food order to be called.
opening his eyes once he heard a person next to him, mareo looked over to see that they were placing his order in front of them with some taking photos of his face and calling him pretty. "thanks." he mumbled out as he sat up and grabbed his phone, opening up one of the burgers and eating it as he saw the many messages he received. rolling his eyes, he focused on his food and ate while staring into space.
running around and looking in every nook and cranny, the other four nishikawa brothers ran around looking for mareo in panic. "have you found him?" tatsuya asked the others as they gathered once again. "fuck. i can't believe you guys lost him." natsu said as he came from behind, panting heavily. "i ran all the way here because you said he ran off." natsu complained once more.
apologizing and agreeing to run around some more, they all split up and natsu entered a burger joint. looking around and spotting the familiar phone from across the room, he stormed up to the younger and grabbed his wrist. looking up at him in shock, mareo gulped the last fry he had and stared with wide eyes. "damn you. the nii-chans were looking for you and you're busy enjoying a burger. let's go!" natsu growled out as he dragged the other along.
"my wrist hurts. let go!" mareo yelled out as natsu let go after dragging him somewhere where it was just them on the path. "why are you dressed like that? don't get the wrong idea either. i'm just here to make sure mom and dad don't lose their baby." natsu said as he looked away, not wanting to admit he was actually worried and pissed off at his brothers.
coughing awkwardly and looking at the ground, mareo steeled himself as he let the words leave his mouth. "thanks. i know that i suddenly came into your family's lives without a warning and have probably flipped everything upside down. i also get that you hate me because i've probably taken away the title of being the youngest from you and whatever else it was. hate me as much as you want or pretend to be my loving brother for show. i want to apologize so you'll know i will do my best to stay out of your way."
natsu shrugged his shoulders as he sat on the bench across from the male who was squatting. "no big deal. it's nice to have someone years younger in the house. all our stories are either the same or we just talk about random things. so to have a high schooler has refreshed the air. nothing i can say about the hating you part though." natsu replied just as the others ran up and shouted for them.
"you found him. where was he? are you guys okay?" benjiro questioned as mareo grunted. "we're fine. he was eating near jiro's place." natsu said as he leaned back. "must've pissed him off to the extreme in order for him to run away from you guys. don't forget he's a high school student. not someone who can be buddy-buddy with a bunch of mid-twenty-year-olds." natsu continued, earning frustrated and embarrassed breaths from the others.
"well, let's go home. the high schooler needs to get some sort of rest for tomorrow." everyone agreed and apologized to the young male who only brushed it off and was more excited than anything to get home.
coming down and greeting his brothers, mareo sat in his chair and blindly picked up a piece of toast, biting into it without spreading jam or chocolate spread on it. "i hope you like the food mareo. we tried japanese food mixed with the usual western food. we're not sure where your tastes lie but we'll do our best to figure out your taste soon!" his mom said as the male only nodded and thanked her in his sleepy state.
"ohiogozaimasu. ohio mareo." hakaku said as mareo only nodded and made a mountain on his plate, shocking everyone at the table at how high it was. "oi, can you eat that much?" natsu asked in shock as mareo blinked with his big eyes, shoving bread in his mouth. clearing their throats and continuing their conversation, everyone talked about their plans for the day as mareo cleared his plate and thanked for the food, getting up to go change.
walking underneath one of the bridges on his way to school, mareo scratched the back of his head and yawned. only to stop once he spotted a floral shirt in front of him. "please move. i would like to get to school on time." he said as he rubbed his eyes.
"hah? this is supposed to be the strongest yankee from shimane?" one of the delinquents asked as mareo sighed. this was becoming depressing. everyone wanted shimane but knew it was his territory and the orphanage he came from. "so, what is it?" mareo asked as he looked at the two groups that surrounded him.
hearing car doors slam, mareo and the others looked over to see a bunch of men in suits running over and going into their formation, making a walkway for someone to come through. "nishikawa mareo, i am here to make a deal." a man in a suit said, showing his badge to be a police badge, causing the two groups of delinquents to run away. "ah. my early morning fighting exercise is gone now." mareo said as he watched the others run away. "so, what is it? i was stopped happily along my way to school." mareo asked as he stared back at the older gentleman.
"we would like you to come back with us and train our officers. we'll keep you under protection in our secret labs to upgrade your powers and anything else you need. of course, we will keep your identity a secret and have already talked to your orphanage. your mother from there gave us permission while saying- and i quote 'he's the best we've had in this orphanage. but i wouldn't try anything funny if you value your lives and want to do good for the country' end quote." he said as mareo sighed and messed up his hair. "if head mama says that and is okay with letting me go then fine. but naoya gets to come along too. he's my partner and deserves to at least get fair training and another place to stay if he doesn't want to go to his old hag's house. you must also live up to your promise and not be pains in the ass. also allow the two of us to train whenever we want. meaning 24/7 access. if we are ever used in the wrong way and for personal greed, there will be more than one murder case on your dead hands. we can start after i do my request mission. ah, which reminds me. you know what we do already, right? then don't say anything to your police chief. i'll help you with cases if needed too. naoya and i are who the okami run to for help now huh." mareo said as he turned to walk off, raising a hand to wave goodbye. "oh we can start later today if that makes you feel better. but listen to head mama's words. because her words are truth."

Sick
Shiroiwa Ruki-JO1 /Original female
Tumblr media
****************
"Ruki? I've let myself in! I've got some things for you!" She called out as soon as she opened the door.
A groan came from somewhere deeper in the flat and she followed the sound to his bedroom where she found him half slumped on his bed, sweaty and barely awake.
"Oh no." Shosei had called her earlier to tell her to pick some things up from the pharmacy for Ruki, so she knew he was under the weather but he was much worse than she had thought. She whispered a silent thank you to Shosei for looking out for him.
Ruki moaned again as he tried to sit up, but it was taking a lot of effort so she assisted him.
"Easy there." She helped him put his back to rest against the bed.
His unfocused eyes looked up at her as she checked his temperature. A fever: no surprise there.
He tugged weakly at her arm. "Go, I don't want-" He spoke brokenly, as if he was struggling to stay awake "I don't want you sick too."
She smiled gently at him and placed her hand on his.
"No Ruki, I'm staying. When I was ill, you took great care of me. Let me do the same for you." He hesitated for a bit but when he realised that he would just be wasting his energy by insisting, he gave in.
"I love you." He mumbled and she kissed his head.
"First, let's get you comfortable and get rid of some of this sweat."
He nodded weakly in agreement and she went to find a basin and a rag to wipe him down. She blushed slightly while rummaging through his drawers to find him better clothes. Apart from accidental looks, she hadn't seen him as undressed as he would have to be to get wiped down properly, so her task made her a bit unsettled.
She placed the items next to him nervously and went to get some warm water.
Ruki had only managed to unzip his hoodie and was breathing heavily by the time she came back over to his side. Seeing him like that made her focus immediately, forgetting her earlier thoughts. "It's okay Ruki, I'll continue."
She helped him push off his hoodie and saw that his top underneath was sticking to his sweat. He would definitely be needing the re-hydration drinks she had brought with her.
She pulled his top over his head and he shivered as the colder air hit his weakened body. She wet the rag and started wiping his back. He moaned in relief and flopped on to her, making her have to fight to push him to sit up again but in the end he ended up half leaning on her and the bed. He gasped and groaned every time the rag came into contact with his skin, taking away some of the unbearable discomfort at every wipe and tried to resist just curling up in her lap.
"Ruki, what are you doing?" She gently nudged him, "Are you falling asleep?"
"Sorry...it's so comfy." He looked at her with heavy lids and a slight smile that told her that he was at least getting some relief from it all. She shook her head and tried to bite back a small smile of her own before putting a new top over his head. She rubbed his back for awhile, letting him getting warmer again and his breathing even out.
"It's okay but try to stay awake if you can, I need to do the bottom half now." He nodded and she moved to unbuckle his belt and he lay down so that she could pull off his jeans easily. As she wiped his legs, she made him prop up and passed him a drink so that he could have enough energy to stand up to pull up his pants by himself.
When he was finished, she helped him sit down on the edge of his bed. The world was still spinning around him, so he buried his head in her torso and she rubbed his back gently.
"I'll make you something light to eat. You can have it later." She piped up when she felt his head getting heavier. "I'll be right back." She kissed his head and tried to put him to lie down but he held onto her tighter.
"Don't leave me. " He pouted.
"Wasn't it you who was telling me to leave earlier Bubu? I'll be right back." She chuckled but she stroked his hair.
He blushed and snuggled up even more. "I'll be lonely."
"But you need to lie down Ruki." She insisted but he shook his head.
"I bought a futon recently, it's in the living room, could I watch you from there?" He pleaded, tilting his head so that she could see the pleas in his eyes as well. He was too cute to fight him.
"Okay, let's do that." She agreed, reasoning to herself that at least he would still be laying down.
She helped him to stumble to the living room where she put him to sit on a chair to take some medicine while she set out the futon. When it was set up, he lay down, angled in a way that he could see her in the kitchen. She got to work making food for him and humming while she worked.
Somehow Ruki managed to stay awake until she was finished so, she decided to feed him.
He propped himself up when she sat down next to him with the food and opened his mouth before she had even picked up the spoon, making her chuckle again.
Once he was finished, she put a cold patch on his forehead and gave him water before putting him to lie down. They decided to stay in the living room because there was enough space for them to lie down next to each other comfortably. She patted the top of the covers until he fell asleep before getting ready for sleep herself.
****************
Late next morning, Ruki looked a lot better. She put a hand on his forehead and breathed out in relief. His fever seemed to be mostly gone.
Apart from when he woke up disoriented and overheated in the night, requiring her help once again, he slept soundly enough to recover fast.
"Good morning Beautiful." He mumbled, when she removed her hand from his forehead. "Am free from affliction?"
"Why are you talking like that?" She laughed and brushed his hair. "I think so."
He grinned and rubbed his eyes as she pulled out the thermometer to check.
"All clear!" She declared happily. "Just make sure you eat well and stay warm today to be on the safe side. How are you feeling?"
Ruki stretched and winced when he lifted his arm. "Still heavy and sluggish but much better."
She nodded "That's normal. I'll go get your medicine."
"Okay Doctor." He smirked and she got up to get it and some water.
Ruki was staring at her with a lopsided grin when she came back.
"What?" She handed them to him and got under the covers again.
"Nothing, just thinking that my doctor looks extra hot today in my T-shirt." He winked before taking the medicine and she blushed.
"There was nothing else to wear! You're definitely better." She huffed but leaned on him and he put an arm around her.
"I can't wait to be able to thank you properly." He nuzzled her cheek.
"Let's order brunch and just stay here like this."
"You need to have a shower and freshen up properly now that you can see straight Bubu." She said even though she snuggled up to him to his delight. "But I'm looking forward to your thank you."
Ruki nodded but then blushed. "I'm sorry you had to see me in such a state last night. Thank you for being there for me."
She kissed his cheek and played with his fingers. "I'll always be here for you Ruki. I love you."
He smiled and held her hand tighter. "I love you too."

kawaii yankee
"ah, everything has finally been set up. here, put this on natsu." benjiro said with a smile as the soon to no longer be the youngest grunted and took it, not bothering to put it on compared to the others. natsu didn't understand what made their parents decide to bring home another kid all of a sudden. watching all his siblings bustle about and finish the preparations, natsu sat on the couch and started playing games on his phone.
as tatsuya yelled that their parents had arrived from the window, the five of them gathered with excitement as natsu put his hands in his pocket and stood behind them.
entering in the house with his new parents, mareo lugged in some of the suitcases he had with the help of the adults who were happy to introduce him to his other siblings. jumping at the sound of the confetti poppers they had, mareo looked with wide eyes in surprise. "thank you.." he muttered as he was ushered to the table where there was a bunch of food and a big cake in the middle.
sitting down, mareo looked around awkwardly as he held his smile and laughed at whatever the others were laughing at. "let me introduce us to you! i'm hakaku the second oldest. alright, you're next!" hakaku said as he pointed at benjiro to introduce himself. "hi i'm benjiro, the oldest and a model. hakaku forgot to mention that he is an engineer." he said as he smacked hakaku upside his head. "third-born tatsuya at your service. i work as a host and own a host club." he said cheerfully as he gave a small nod towards the young boy who only nodded silently. "my name is souta and i'm fourth born. i'll be your math teacher and maybe even your barista at the cafe a few shops down from the school." he hummed out as he served food to mareo first, giving him the best pieces and food pairings. "natsu. like the anime character. natsu." he said, not giving any more description. "ah, natsu is a part of the swim and tennis team at his college. star player in both sports." their mom said as everyone nodded in agreement. "it's my turn, huh..i'm mareo. now nishikawa mareo. second year in high school, from shimane prefecture, and seventeen." he said with a smile as everyone froze in shock at his age besides the parents who were happily feeding him fruit.
"that means he has a ten-year age difference with benjiro!" tatsuya said with a laugh as benjiro kicked him in annoyance. natsu had gotten up and left the table with two plates of food, going to his room. "i don't see the need for having another sibling in the house but whatever, it's your decision." he yelled out as mareo looked down and fidgeted with his hands. he could definitely feel the hate in his words and felt bad. not even he knew what made the couple next to him choose him when there were so many others in that orphanage.
as mareo was shown to his room with all his bags, he sat on his bed and looked out the window with a sigh. he wasn't even adopted into a delinquent family like everyone including himself thought he would. instead, he was adopted into an extremely rich family that had five other sons and were very proper. even in the car on the way here he was told about the family's history and how they are where they're at today. they even told him that they get good grades and are very proper with no bad manners allowed. mareo had to fill the role of being the top student. he had to be a quiet kid who got straight grades and was shooting to be a doctor.
sighing mareo slid to the ground and started unpacking all his luggage, setting up a place so he could fix his body parts when needed since he no longer had a lab for any of his equipment. hiding his weapons and files inside the closet, covering it up with the loads of clothes he had, mareo sighed as he mentally cursed himself for having so much stuff. shoving his many phones into one of the drawers of the desk, mareo smiled contently after seeing how his roomed turned out to his taste with record vinyls on the wall in one corner, boxing gloves and decor to match on another, his large marshall speaker he got the second he was taken away from the orphanage by the nishikawa couple who had forced him to buy whatever he wanted on the mini shopping spree they had.
connecting his phone and blasting music, mareo let the music fill up his room as he hung his door sign, singing along to the music that was playing. opening the message that popped up on his phone from one of his friends that he made in middle school, the male cursed as he made sure to use one of his other phones to play the music as he took his main one and shoved it into his pocket, climbing out through the window quietly as he made his escape towards his friend. though he didn't know the area well, he was sure he was going to be fine as his friend had moved to tokyo way before him.
running as fast as he can towards the hikari docks, mareo pushed past a crowd of people until he made it and called out for his friend. "oi, naoya! where are you?" he yelled out as he walked around cautiously looking in every corner for him. spotting him in the corner with blood on his face, mareo ran over to his longtime friend in utter shock at how he looked. "sorry, they got me from behind. they took my phone and everything. i don't know where they went." naoya said as the other nodded and looked around before helping the other up with a soft sigh. "don't get beaten up before the first day of school dumbass. i need you to be there with me so we can take over the school and go to cat cafes." mareo said as he punched the other on the top of the head as they slowly made their way out of the warehouse.
"yo osashiburi*. i'm here to clean up all you shimane punks and rule chugoku*." the leader of the opposite gang said as mareo tilted his head in confusion. "huh? who are you?" he asked as everyone almost fell over in shock. "you don't remember me? two years ago when i came to shimane* and you beat the hell out of my guys. you were wearing matching rilakumma* shirts!" the old guy said as mareo dropped naoya and scratched his head. "i never got to leave the orphanage at that time because i got in trouble for trying to skip mandatory chores. well, i don't know who you fought but oh well." he said as he fought them one by one, giving a final punch to the leader and groaning.
laughing and walking with naoya to his house, the two teased each other to no end as they did their handshake and agreed to see each other at the school gates in a few days.
walking back home and stopping to get himself a drink from the vending machine. touching the corner of his lip, mareo sat down and sighed, debating on how he could cover up his injuries before returning back to the house. hearing people look at him and whisper about how a boy like him had such a cute face but got injured in the process.
finishing his soda and going back home, mareo cursed at how dark it was and how he was going to be quiet when entering. climbing in through the window once again, mareo closed his window and noticed the silence that had filled his room. "well, nothing i can do about it now." he said as he opened his room door and made his way downstairs, looking for the first aid kit.
after finding the kit, mareo sat in the living room as he tended to the wounds on his face the best he can. sighing and wincing in slight pain from the cut on his cheek he had received from their dirty play of using a knife. "that hurts." he hissed out as he removed the cotton pad that absorbed isopropyl alcohol from his cheek.
"nice to see that you returned home." hakaku said, causing mareo to jump and fall off the couch. "ouch..it's not like i ran away in the first place." mareo said as he got back up onto the couch and resumed his attempt at treating his wounds. laughing, hakaku sat next to mareo and took the bandaid from his hands to place it on himself, helping the young boy.
"so, tell me. how did you get those injuries and a busted arm?" hakaku asked as he treated the other. wincing in pain from the slight pressure the other forcefully applied, mareo smacked his hand in understanding of what he meant.
"i went to save my friend. then they played dirty and cut my cheek. they also hit me with a 4x4 plank." mareo sighed, realizing how fast he got caught. "don't worry i won't tell your secret to anyone. i already noticed it when i entered your room and turned off the speaker. it was becoming bedtime for our parents. tatsuya also left for work." hakaku hummed out as he finished bandaging the wounds on his face. nodding, mareo looked at the ground.
"don't feel bad. i understand you want to keep it a secret but it was kind of obvious. you had all that tech laying around including a manual given to you by your manufacturers about how the cyborg body works. since you have me and i'm an engineer, i'll help you fix your body when needed." hakaku said with a smile as he ruffled the other's hair and cleaned up the first aid kit before sending him off to bed to prepare for tomorrow's activities.
waking up and rolling out of bed, mareo walked downstairs in his pajamas, being greeted by everyone except natsu. "come eat breakfast mareo. there's a whole feast made- what happened to your face?" benjiro asked as mareo froze and stuttered to get out a sentence. "i fell down the stairs when i went to visit my friend who was at the orphanage with me. ah don't worry i fell at the park we were at. i'm fine though." he quickly let out as he sat down and started eating.
hakaku looked over at the male and chuckled at how cute he looked with his messy bedhead and large amount of food he was eating. "he's still a growing boy." he mumbled as he ate his own meal, excited to hang out with his interesting brother he had met just yesterday. "mareo, we have to go get your books and school supplies later on so get ready to go when you're done eating and we can go. we might even be able to run into benjiro and souta if we're lucky." hakaku said as tatsuya nodded in agreement. "if you run into those two, you'll be lucky enough to at least have a cheat sheet for their classes."
mareo got dressed after eating and smiled as he looked at his outfit choice of a simple white bape shirt with black jeans and a black bucket hat to match. making sure the chain on his pants was fixed and not dangling to get dirty, he made his way downstairs and met up with hakaku and was surprised to see souta standing in the entryway waiting for him. "souta came home early so he could help you get the books for both his and benjiro's classes. benjiro has to go take some photos for a clothing brand." hakaku said as he ushered two out once all of them had their shoes on. offering to drive, souta got in the drivers seat and drove them to a shopping district where they could buy school supplies and books for mareo.

Daisy part five | EXILE TRIBE
“So..you got pregnant after Kanou left and never told him until today?” Kenta questioned after listening to Fenty explain everything as they sat on her living room couch. Nodding her head slowly, she sipped on her mug that held her tea in it. “Yeah..Haruto gets the basis of it but doesn’t really understand. Neither do the other two. They were just born naturally, you know? I got pregnant naturally.”
Nodding his head, he hummed and leaned back against the couch to look up at the ceiling. “Well, they’re lucky to have someone like you. Though some of the choices you make aren’t too...kid friendly.” Kenta teased as he looked over at the female who glared at him after choking on her tea.
“So much for wanting to meet the kids.” She grunted as she turned away with a slight huff. Sitting up quickly, Kenta turned to the female and clapped his hands together as he begged her to meet the trio. “No, no, no. I’m sorry Fenty. Please let me meet your kids! They seem so cute!” He whined as he tried getting her attention.
Excited to meet the kids, Kenta sat up and cleared his throat as he shook his leg excitedly. Seeing them walk out towards him with utmost caution made his heart melt. “Mom, can we go back? We don’t wanna be out here..” Zeyu and Haruto said in unison as she smiled softly and held one hand for either of them to grab onto as she carried the youngest who slowly started drifting off.
Ignoring the extremely attractive male next to her was proving to be hard for Fenty, especially with the way he was dressed. Chewing on her lip and finally giving in after a while, the female turned and grabbed his face before placing a quick kiss on his lips. “About damn time.” She grunted as she stood up, leaving the shocked male on the couch as she went to go get her kids.
——————
“It’s okay my little bears. He won’t hurt you because mommy is here. So is auntie and uncle. You know where to find them.” She said with a smile of reassurance as she placed down Ming Rui and let them all wander off into their own spots on the large couch. Eyes shining brightly, Kenta watched the three in awe as they played with their toys.
“They’re so cute! Oh my. Hi boys, my name is Kenta! I’m a friend of your mom.” He said with excitement as he slid down onto the floor to play with the trio. Smiling at Kenta’s interaction with them, she took some pictures and slipped away into the kitchen to have her peace and quiet.
Sipping on her water, she scrolled through her phone to keep herself occupied. Hearing the sounds of cheering and video games, the mother shook her head with a slight laugh as she placed her cup down and continued going through her social media. “Ah, so that’s where this leads to..” Kenta said softly as he stood in front of the female who only looked up at him with a smile.
“Well hello Mister Kamiya, surprised to see you tap out this early.” She teased as the male raised a brow with a slight curve in his mouth. “You make being a bad boy really hard, you know. Especially when you have kids.” He replied back as he sat on the bar stool to watch the female with interest. Chuckling softly and shaking her head, the female turned away to put more liquid in her glass.
“I guess so, because I have never seen you or Kanou act the way he did and you are now.” She hummed as she leaned against the counter. Watching the man in front of her gulp, her face showed a little smirk before returning to normal as she watched him stutter for words. “Please don’t do this to me..I-I don’t want  to do anything I’ll regret.” He mumbled as she chuckled softly. “So you texting me is something you’ll regret doing?” She asked as she walked past him with a slight tap on his shoulder as she went to go play with her kids.
Following after her quickly, he kept quiet and smiled once he saw the female playing with them, using their toys. “Haruto! You can’t attack me like that!” She squealed as the oldest of them all jumped on her from behind. Laughing, she fought off the kids as they kept coming back for more, loving the way their mom reacts everytime.
Joining in, Kenta picked Zeyu and Ming Rui up in both of his arms before running around the house with them, a soft smile on his face as he felt himself being drowned in their screams of happiness and excitement.
------------
After finally putting the kids to sleep, the two rested on the couch with a sigh. “Wow, tonight was possibly one of the best nights of my life. I have never had as much fun as I did tonight.” Kenta breathed out with a smile as he stared into the eyes of the female who turned to him.
“I’m glad, it’s not everyday my kids see someone new they can hang out with. So it’s a nice change of pace if you know what I mean.” She hummed out as she rested her head against the back of the couch. Nodding his head, the male scooted closer to the female and pulled her in his lap, letting his adrenaline and inner conscious kick in. “K-Kenta, what are you-” Getting her quiet, he slammed his lips onto hers and held her closely, not wanting to let go.
Pulling away after a while and staring at her breathlessly, the male started to speak. “You knew it was me, didn’t you? Putting all those notes in your locker and the food and the things you missed whenever you were out?” He whispered out, eyes shaking with curiosity. Nodding her head, she placed her hands on his shoulder. “I knew the entire time, but I didn’t want to open up yet because of my boys.” Nodding his head in understanding and looking away, he felt a bit hurt but he chose not to show it entirely.
Lifting his chin up to face her using a finger, Fenty smiled at the other softly and leaned down for another kiss. As the two locked lips, Kenta pushed the female on her back slowly, kissing her with love.
-----------
The next day, the siblings walked next to their mom as they chatted excitedly, wanting to know if they were going to be able to go to the arcade tonight with their uncle. “Haruto, you chose last time! Let me choose!” Zeyu said with a pout as he stomped his way to the room he was going to be in. Smacking the back of his head and stopping in their tracks, Fenty and Haruto glared at Zeyu. ‘Throw a fit and I will fuck you up in front of everybody.”
As they walked into the classroom, Fenty dragged Haruto by the ear up the stairs to the back of the classroom. Whining and tapping his mother’s hand to let go of his ear. “It hurts mom! Let go!” The boy whined loudly as he smacked his mom’s hand to finally release him.
Releasing his ear and making them sit in their assigned order, Fenty threw her bag on the table and sat down herself, waiting for her friends to walk in and class to start. “Don’t be so harsh on them, Fenty. They’re just kids.” Glaring at her  best friend, Fenty flicked her off as she turned to wipe Ming Rui’s face with a napkin from his snack. “They still need to learn, Lashae.” Fenty groaned back as she took a bite of Ming Rui’s honeybun.
Class never ended up happening with the teacher popping in just to say that it was going to be free period. As the trio of best friends talked with each other, a tall figure appeared next to Fenty and the noise of the three boys increased in excitement. “Kenta! You go here with mama?” Ming Rui questioned as he sat up taller and stuck his arms out.
Picking up the young boy and throwing him over his shoulder, he hummed back in response and pretend to throw the boy on the ground, slipping his hand underneath his head so he didn’t hit it. “Kenta, be careful! He’s precious you know.” Fenty scolded as she taught Haruto and Zeyu how to do their homework. “I know, I know. I’m not going to injure any of them.” Kenta huffed back as he grunted when his glasses got knocked off of his face.
-----------
As everyone except Kenta, his friends, Fenty, and the kids left the classroom, Fenty was busy scolding the trio as they Goofed around and almost injured themselves, Kenta watching with a smile. “Mou, I’m so jealous of you Fenty. You have kids already, got several bags, and don’t give a fuck about what others say to you.”
“Well, Kenta. You can stop by whenever and play with them whenever you want. They seem to love having you around the house.” Fenty replied as she tinted a light pink from the taller’s action of pushing her hair behind her ear. “K-Kenta..” She stuttered out, causing him to chuckle.
Looking to see if the kids were paying attention, Kenta quickly grabbed the other’s chin roughly and placed a kiss on hers. Pulling away as fast as possible, Kenta towered over the female and smirked at her reaction, whispering in her ear. “You look so cute when you’re flustered. Makes me want to tell the boys to call me daddy.” Pushing his face away, Fenty blushed a deeper shade of red while trying to look away from the man who’s face was made into a cocky one.
“You’re lucky they all have a switch, or else you would have had to made them watch what that tongue can do.” Fenty smirked back, causing the other to scoff playfully and pretend to ignore the younger as he played with the kids.
----------
“Kanou, aren’t you pissed off that Kenta is basically flirting and stealing your girl?” Ryuta asked as he watched the two discreetly. Turning to look at the two, Kanou balled his hand into a fist, looking at the ground. He should be there playing with his kid- kids.
Getting up and pulling the female to the side, Kanou glared at her with the same eyes Kenta gave her when he kissed her. “Let me meet them, please.” He begged the female as he started to break down slowly. “Fine. One chance. From me. Come. And don’t touch Kenta either.” She grunted as she turned away and put on her brightest face for her kids to see as they waited for her with worry.
“Boys, I need you to listen...meet your father..the one I told you about. You have th- two fathers.”

Daisy part four| EXILE TRIBE
“What do you mean, Kanou? What did you do?” Ryuta questioned as the look of concern grew on everyone’s faces. Kanou looked around at all the men surrounding him, sighing heavily. “I..left her behind. It was in the fourth grade. I-I left her and came back..only for the first year of high school. I don’t know what happened to her after I left. But I know the last words I said to her ripped her to pieces. And when she wants revenge..she won’t stop for anyone.” He choked out as he fiddled with his fingers.
Everyone stayed silent for a while, fully processing everything that happened. “Sorry Kanou..we didn’t know that’s what happened.” Shohei mumbled out as they dispersed slowly to the bell.
---------------
Leaving the school grounds, the boys walked and chatted in small groups, doing their own thing. “Fenty, if you don’t come back here right now, I’m kicking your ass!” A familiar voice screamed out as three bodies ran after one another.
Quickly moving aside, the males watched as the trio ran past them, the male coming in second and the sibling in third.
“What the fuck just happened?”
-------------
Night had arrived and everyone was living the night life, except for Fenty. Sitting on her couch and waiting for her little ones to come out. Haruto, Ming Rui, and Zeyu all argued as they came out of their rooms and fixed their clothes (outfits linked in next post or below). “Mom! Zeyu keeps bullying me!” Ming Rui whined as he ran over to the female who only laughed.
Standing up and fixing her son’s clothes as well as hers, she turned to face the trio. “Zeyu, stop bullying your little brother. You three are going to have a connection forever because you never know when it’ll be just the three of you. Okay? Also, Haruto. You’re the oldest so you should protect the youngers and vice versa. Protect each other.” Fenty scolded as she ruffled each of their hairs.
Nodding their heads and looking at the floor, a chuckle escaped from their mom’s lips as she watched their faces. “So, boys. Where are we going tonight?” Quickly looking up, the three all shouted out their answers and smiled widely.
Nodding her head, she grabbed her phone and purse with a smile. “Okay, let’s go.”
-----------
The pub grill was no place for a mother with three kids but she couldn’t help it. Her kids loved eating there ever since they were born. This time was no different as they requested a large table for them to eat at. “Where’s auntie and uncle at? I thought they were here already!” Zeyu whined, wanting to see his favourite aunt and uncle. Sitting in her chair with a raised brow, she smiled and leaned closer to the boy. “What did I say about being patient?” She questioned as the child pouted.
“Mou Fenty, don’t be so rough with him. He’s still a boy.” Lashae chuckled out as she took her seat next to the youngest. Sitting next to the oldest and the middle,  Yuto laughed as he listened to their nerf war stories. “Haruto, what do you want to eat?” Fenty asked as she signaled that the waiter was waiting to take his order. “The largest dinner meal set you have please!” He said with a wide smile.
Laughing and talking with each other, the group sat at the table while listening to each other’s stories and sharing stories with each other.
----------
A familiar laughter echoed through the slightly empty pub as the males sat on the other side of the restaurant in the corner. Standing up after finishing their meal, a group of the males went over to pay, bumping into the only female Alan had a problem with. “Interesting to see you here miss Fenty.” Kenta said with a soft smile, turning towards the female who only chuckled back in response. “Well, the k- group wanted to come out so I agreed.” She giggled back as she took her card and walked off with a wave.
Watching her walk off, Kenta smiled slightly, a light blush appearing on his face. Quickly paying for their meal, Kenta scurried back to the table with the others and giggled at his hand, staring at the little slip she left him.
“Kenta, what are you laughing at?” Ryuta asked as he gave up trying to study his friend. Quickly looking up and shoving the slip into his pocket, he shook his head. “N-Nothing. Why?” He asked as he tried to act normal. “Because you’re laughing at your hand stupid.” Mandy said as he leaned back in his chair.
Unable to say anything, he looked away in red embarrassment as the others started making fun of him. “L-Leave me alone! You’d understand if she was someone you thought was so perfect and appeared everywhere you went!” He whined out as he hit his hands on the table.
---------
Leaving the restaurant, Fenty sat with her friends and her kids as she watched them eat ice cream, fighting over the best flavour with the two adults. Laughing, Fenty recorded the whole argument. “Lashae, leave my baby alone. He did nothing to you.” She breathed out as she tried to stop herself from laughing and pissing her pants.
“Fenty, who are they?” Kanou asked as he stopped at their table, his anger slowly rising. Looking up, Fenty stared at the male with a slight chuckle as she looked back at the three boys who inched closer to Lashae and Yuto. “None of your business, Kanou. Damn sure you didn’t want to know anyways.” She snarled back as she grabbed her phone and started scrolling through it.
Snatching her phone and glaring at her, Kanou’s anger went through the roof as he barked back. “Answer me!” Standing up after slamming her hand on the table, she grabbed the male by the collar. “Don’t you fucking start with me now. You don’t need and/or deserve to know!” She yelled back as she pushed him, his friends grabbing him to stand him up.
“M-Mom, what’s going on?” Haruto questioned as they peeked out from behind the twins. Looking at the boy, Fenty shook her head and smiled softly. “Nothing, bear. You three go back home with auntie and uncle, okay? I will follow soon after I’m done. Go!” The female said sternly as Lashae and Yuto nodded, grabbing their hands and running to the house as fast as possible.
“Oi, Kanou. This isn’t the place nor the time for you to be acting like this!” Naoto said as he stepped forward to grab the younger by his shoulder. “Leave me alone! I want to talk with her about this!” He growled as he curled his hand into a fist. “Kanou-”
Grabbing the male by his collar, Fenty dragged him to a safer spot, the others in tow several feet away as they watched with caution as the two sat down face to face.
“Answer me, Fenty. Who are those three boys?” Kanou said as calmly as possible. Tsking and looking away, Fenty crossed her arms as she tried to ignore the male in front of her who stared her down. “Y-Yours...” The female mumbled quietly as she continued to stare into space, listening to the sound of the male falling out the chair in shock.
“Wait...n-no..no..I don’t believe that! Which one is mine, Fenty!” Kanou yelled as he slammed his fist on the table. “Haruto is yours! Haruto! What else do you want to hear you fucking asshole?!” Fenty shouted back, tears slowly coming down her face. “Haruto..you mean..you were pregnant with him when I left..?” Kanou mumbled shakily as the others stuttered in shock.
Wiping her tears and standing up, the female grabbed her phone and walked away, not wanting to continue talking to the male any longer. “Fenty..I..”
---------
Kenta chased after the female, wanting to comfort her and feeling bad for  what his friend did.
“Miss Fenty, wait!” Kenta called out as he used his long legs to chase after her. Stopping in her tracks, the female turned to look back at who called her name as she wiped her tears. “Ah, Kenta. How can I help you?”
