“Oh Webby Darling."
Tumblr media
Since today is the third anniversary of the Last Adventure"I know a lot of people are probably going to get a bit gloomy and talk about the day Ducktales 2017 ended and how say how they still missed the show. Meanwhile I'm just here going to be a bit happy and positive and by saying that today is also Happy Canon Dad Scrooge Day.
I made this collage on my apps PicsArt and SoftPink since around the end of December 2021. I believe. But I finally feel it's the time to show it since it feels perfect for the anniversary for the Ducktales series finale.

Della: Why do you act like we are three years old?
Beakley, exasperated: WHY?!?
Beakley, pointing at Goldie: YOU TRIED TO HYJACK A CAR!
Beakley, pointing at Scrooge: YOU JUMPED 20 FEET OFF A CARPARK!
Beakley, pointing at Della: AND YOU ATE MULTIPLE DRIED LEAVES AND ROCKS OFF THE GROUND!
Beakely: AND YOU ASK ME WHY????

I drawn this based on this Draw your Squad! below the cut + some stuff from my own (like the 3 stools to get all the characters at their respective heights). The initial idea was from @thechaseofspades and here are some artists what did some really great art! @the-richest-duck , @justaboot , @secret-tester , @boingodigitalart , @alexcanine , @yeyeducks , @cookieruby , @ugogoi49 .

I rewatched “The Richest Duck in the World!” and noticed something new. It’s only a theory, but it could easily be true, and… oh my God.
Bradford Buzzard has been working with Scrooge for about two decades or more by this episode, right? He's the CEO of McDuck Enterprises. He can overule Scrooge on business decisions and has access to and knowledge of everything, including Falcon Island, the portion of money afforded to it and that it's used for magical defence. Scrooge took the time to remove that island from all maps because he was so desperate for nobody to ever be able to meddle there. This is as top-secret as it gets. But Bradford knows. Scrooge trusts him implicitly with ALL his money. That's a lot of trust!
So Bradford almost certainly knows about the Bombie. It's hard to imagine a conversation where Scrooge told him about Falcon Island and what resources it needed without telling him why it needed them; and never before this episode has the Bombie been released due to financial strain. Not even in Scrooge and his finances' lowest point, when he was blowing through savings to search for Della, resorting to draining the Money Bin, his personal store of sentimentally valuable coins. Not even with Bradford wanting more of McDuck Enterprises' money available so he can siphon it off for FOWL. There was always, always something less important than Falcon Island.
But then Louie - an inexperienced, physically weak and unskilled eleven-year-old - becomes the richest person on Earth. On his very first morning in this position, he has to compensate for his wasteful spending by taking money from the company and Bradford immediately suggests cutting funding to the Bombie's containment measures. That is the first thing he comes up with. And he agrees to it unhesitatingly without a word of warning. This is why the entire plot of the episode happens!
Even more dammingly, he has a button specifically to deactivate the magical security system on hand at that moment. Without it, the Bombie escapes in an instant. But how did such a button come to exist in the first place? Scrooge would never have asked for it. Nobody else knew anything about Falcon Island. Bradford must have made it and connected it to that magic himself. He saw that Louie was vulnerable and wasted no time engineering his fall, unleashing a lethal threat upon him that was, as far as anyone knew, absolutely unstoppable, yet in a manner indirect enough to deflect suspicion from him.
Bradford tried to murder Louie.

GIVE US THE BEHIND THE SCENES RECORDING FOOTAGE DISNEY, YOU COWARDS!
Because David Tennant probably had the MOST fun doing all those things with his voice, from the low mutterings of utmost suspicion to high shrieks of abject horror
Oh the questions i would ask if i ever got to meet him...

Curses of the ducktales family in my au:
Donald Duck: The curse of UnLuck and inturn, the curse of immortality aswell. The curse of the Sea, feeling a gravitational pull to it, only feeling completely at peace when there. The curse of Responsibility, forced to grow up faster than he was supposed to. This also caused him to take many in, practically having a army of unofficially adopted children.
Gladstone Gander: The curse of Luck, the curse of Immortality included.
Nancy Duck (cousin of Donald) and Gideon Mcduck (Scrooges half brother) : The curse of Distance, both having lost contact from their family due to physical and emotional distance.
Mary Duck: The curse of the Siren, destined to sing till her death.
Scrooge Mcduck: The curse of Fame, forced to be in the spotlight even if he hadn't shown his face in years.
Della Duck: The curse of a shadow, causing one to cover those close to her in her favour. The curse of the Sky, feeling a gravitational pull to it, feeling completely at peace when flying in her plane.
Fethry Duck: The curse of the Sea, feeling a gravitational pull to it, only feeling completely at peace when there, much like his cousins. This was broken however, when he was forced, trapped under by Scrooge - Fear is enough to break curses only if it's powerful enough to gain it's own magic.
Shamrock Gander: The curse of Luck abs Immortality, the curse was replicated when he was 'born', he's a clone of Gladstone and will eventually be in the care of Donald.
The Shamrocks a clone idea comes from "Furious Revenge" By Cursegirl on ao3, I recommend it, it's a good fic.

Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck Retrospective
Tumblr media
Hello all you happy people. I'm jake, I do reviews and in 2020, towards the start of this blog, I started a retrospective of the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and after a long hiatus and with help from my good friend kev, I finally finishe dit. I intended for this to be a post of ALL 12 chapters, but tumblr wouldn't let me do that so instead here's my previous compliation of the first 9 linked bellow followed by the final 3. It's a mild pain in the ass I know. ON the bright side I did go back and touch up a few chapters as I forgot to add a quote to king of the klondike and the final two chapters and for reasons lost to time quoted man down under for Dreamtime Duck of Never Never.
This also seems like the perfect place to announce a little something special for next year. Starting January 2025 Kev is using his patreons to continue the project: While the main 12 part story is done there's still a bunch of extra chapters Rosa did over his career, from the prequel published shortly before this story of Ducks Dimes and Destinies, to my personal faviorite Disney Duck Story and perfect epilogue to Barks Run as a whole, Dream of a LIfetime, to this story's direct sequel a letter from home and that story's unintetional prequel the old castle's secret. There's a lot more life and times to explore and you'll be seeing it all next year. THank you for reading and enjoy

It's clear I am VERY late to this post and I went through the reblogs and it all seems to be Vaguely Della-Related Angst and DuckFeels (woo-oo)
IT'S LITERALLY FROM THE FREAKING NEWS LIVESTREAM THING HE DID IN THE 87 CENT SOLUTION ASKJGHSL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And the actual line (probably edited for the out of context thing by Frank) is "Coins, if you're watching, I miss you very much" (note: it is said in a voice that sounds like he's on the verge of tears so... there were feels involved but only over a handful of loose change)
Out of context scrooge?
“If you can hear me, I miss you very much.”

Something I Noticed In The Episode ‘McMystery At McDuck Manor’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok. As shown in the episode ‘McMystery At McDuck Manor!’, Scrooge McDuck’s enemies like Flintheart Glomgold and Ma Beagle seemed to respect Duckworth but despise Ms. Beakley. So, I’ll be going over my thoughts on why Scrooge’s enemies seem to respect Duckworth but don’t hold that same respect for Beakley. Also, Spoiler Alert for the DuckTales (2017) TV series. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think that the reason why Scrooge’s enemies respect Duckworth but hate Beakley might come down to when Scrooge hired them. After all, Duckworth was hired by Scrooge long before Della was lost in space considering that, as shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’, Duckworth worked for Scrooge while Della was still a kid. And Beakley was probably hired by Scrooge after Della was lost in space since, as shown in the episode ‘Nothing Can Stop Della Duck!’, Della was surprised that Duckworth was dead and that Beakley replaced him, Duckworth’s death probably came shortly after Scrooge’s niece Della was lost in space. And Duckworth’s death happening so soon after Della’s disappearance was also pointed out by @sprklboo in their TBH The Extent Of The Abuse And Isolation That Bradford Enacted Towards Scrooge Is Not Talked About Enough post. And that means that Duckworth’s death along with Della’s disappearance probably caused Scrooge to become deeply isolated from the people around him. Also, I think that isolation not only caused Scrooge to push away his loved ones but also his enemies too. So, And, while Beakley was, as shown in the episode ‘Woo-oo!’, more than willing to help Scrooge connect with his loved ones, I doubt she would’ve been willing to let him interact with his enemies again which I’ll be elaborating on in my next point. Speaking of which…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As shown in the episode ‘Woo-oo!’, Scrooge seemed so isolated by Duckworth’s death as well as Della’s disappearance that he didn’t want to talk to his great nephews at first. And if Scrooge was so isolated that he didn’t want to talk to his great nephews, he certainly wouldn’t have wanted to interact with his enemies either. That’s probably one of the reasons why Scrooge hired Beakley. He probably wanted her to make sure that his enemies left him alone. And Beakley was probably more than happy to oblige given all the trauma that Scrooge was put through and also the fact that, as shown in the episode ‘Woo-oo!’, Beakley has a no-nonsense attitude and wasn’t impressed with Scrooge trying to back to adventuring. And considering Beakley’s no-nonsense attitude and that she, as shown in the episode ‘From The Confidential Casefiles Of Agent 22!’, used to work as a spy, I think that Beakley was so strict with security that her effort to keep Scrooge’s enemies away from him came off as more frustrating to said enemies than anything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But while Beakley was able to keep Scrooge’s enemies away, she didn’t seem to be able to reunite him with his family as well. I think that one of the reasons for that is because Beakley isn’t exactly much of a social butterfly as shown in the episode ‘Friendship Hates Magic!’ where Beakley seemed out of her depth at first when it came to making friends with other people like Launchpad. And I think that’s because, given the fact that she, as I pointed out earlier, had a no-nonsense attitude and that she was a spy who worked for SHUSH, she probably didn’t have much time to make friends and probably had to constantly fight to keep the world safe from villains which probably means that Beakley was more used to being surrounded by enemies than by friends. So, Beakley probably wasn’t all that well-equipped to help Scrooge reunite with his family since she didn’t know much about forming close bonds with other people herself. And that’s probably one of the reasons why Bradford Buzzard didn’t try to get rid of Beakley despite the fact that, as stated in the episode ‘The Last Adventure! Part 3: Tale’s End…’, Bradford told Scrooge’s niece Della about the Spear Of Selene thus ensuring Della’s disappearance and that, as @yoshimickster pointed out in their …so…yeah…Bradford killed Duckworth didn’t he? post, he probably killed Duckworth too since he did show a picture of Scrooge mourning Duckworth as he was going over how he tried to isolate Scrooge. Given that, as shown in the episode ‘Woo-oo!’, both Bradford and Beakley worked for Scrooge and also that, as shown in the episode ‘Last Christmas!’, both of them attended Scrooge’s Christmas party, Bradford probably learned about Beakley’s lack of social skills at some point. Speaking of Bradford…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think that isolating Scrooge from both his friends and enemies was all part of Bradford’s plan to get Scrooge to give up on adventuring. After all, as stated in the episode ‘The Most Dangerous Game…Night!’, Scrooge gets really competitive when he’s trying to beat an enemy. So, Scrooge gets a real thrill out of taking down his enemies. And that’s probably why Bradford tried to isolate Scrooge from not only his loved ones but his enemies too in order to get him to give up on adventuring. Also, I think that another reason why Bradford didn’t try to get rid of Beakley is because her skills as a spy would be able to keep Scrooge’s enemies away from him. After all, as shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’, Bradford and Beakley were both members of SHUSH. So, Bradford probably knew about Beakley’s skills.
Well, that’s all for this post.
See you all next time.

After the successful mission of defeating Lunaris, the McDuck clan and their friends can celebrate their victory by making up for years of lost time.
So everything’s good. Right?
Unknown to Duckburg’s resident heroes, a new villain with a grudge against them is lurking within the shadows, figuratively and literally. Covered from head to toe in a black cloak, this enemy refers to themself as the Phantom Blot.
Scrooge, Donald, Della, and their family have to stand together once again to fight off another threat against their loved ones. Unfortunately, underneath the mask is someone who they thought they could trust.
As the suspect list grows among eccentric employees, black sheep relatives, and bumbling superheroes….the enemy within is working fast to tear this family apart once again!
How can our fearless birds put a stop to the Phantom Blot’s vendetta when no one is safe…and everyone is a suspect!?
NOTE: This is a storyline I created for a canon divergent AU of Ducktales 2017 that takes places after season 2. I am not sure if I will ever write this story.
For now, please enjoy these Suspect Posters I made on Picsart! 😊
