Sis is not eating with us so mum just prep a one pot meal of Pork Ribs Noodles Soup (排骨汤面) with pieces of bean curd rolls, stuffed eggplant and fish balls. There is also lettuce which is blanched into the hot soup flavoured with dried scallops. Mum used flat yellow noodles to better soak up the broth.

Dinner is three different affairs with each eating his/her own meal. Sis had Sweet & Sour Pork Rice (咕噜肉饭) with an added fried egg. Mum went with the Singapore Fried Noodles (星洲米粉) with shrimps, char siu, bean sprouts, egg and vegetable. Both packed meals came from the Tze Char (煮炒) stall.

I went to the Economy Rice (菜饭) stall to choose my own dishes. Picked a portion of okra & dried chilli stir-fry, crispy ikan bilis (dried anchovies) & crunchy peanuts with something that resembled a much redder version of the sweet & sour pork which I found enjoyable.
