Dreamtime
Dreamtime (The Dreaming) is the English term used to describe the mythology and spirituality of Indigenous Australians. It is a philosophy, worldview, cosmology, and way of life that explains how the world was created. Although people often associate dreams with Dreamtime, it encompasses much more than that.
The Dreaming is an expansive consciousness that deals with everything from the meaning of life to everything in between. Indigenous Australians differentiate between ordinary dreams and more spiritual ones associated with Dreamtime.
The myths of Dreamtime have been passed down orally for thousands of years and are conveyed through song, storytelling, dance, and art. These myths gave each individual wisdom and purpose. The Dreaming did not take place in the past but is always present in a parallel timeline that continues to nurture the earth. Time and place are infinite in Dreamtime. Indigenous Australians believe that their lives had already been predestined by the spiritual beings of Dreamtime and that it is their duty to live in accordance with those terms.
The Aboriginal Australians & the Land
Aboriginal Australians are made up of various indigenous groups that first arrived in Australia from Asia around 65,000 years ago. They inhabited mainland Australia and its many islands. Each group had its own unique language, traditions, and culture, including different gods and creation stories. Places in modern Australia are tied to specific Indigenous Australian groups; for example, Sydney is the home of the Eora nation, while Melbourne is home to the Wurundjeri people.
Knowledge is not freely available in Indigenous Australian culture and is based on age, gender, and clan membership. Some languages are only spoken by females, and vice versa. There are strict guidelines for everything, including religious ceremonies, land rights, and social relationships.
Indigenous Australians view themselves as custodians of the land rather than its owners. The land is an integral part of Dreamtime, with every aspect of the Australian land carrying signs of the ancestral beings and magic. The grey clouds, the emerald water of the lakes and rivers, and the redness of the dust and rocks all carry elemental qualities. The running waters of the stream remind us of the Rainbow Serpent, who created the streams with her burrowing body. The rock cairns signify the All-Father spirit, Baiame (Biame), who came down from the sky with his sacred law, while the bonfires are reminiscent of the original fire lit by the Sun Mother's hands, and a landslide may tell of a violent battle.
Although the whole land is sacred to Indigenous Australians, some parts are more special or powerful than others. These include Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), and the waters of Kununurra. These are some of the places where the energy of the ancestral spirits is more concentrated due to their association with Dreamtime stories.

The power of the land can be seen in the stories once told about the Nimbin Rocks in New South Wales. Supposedly, a high percentage of women who lived in the vicinity of the Nimbin Rocks suffered miscarriages. They approached an Aboriginal elder, who informed them that Nimbin Rocks was traditionally a male site and women were not supposed to visit. These women moved away from the proximity of the rocks and went on to have successful pregnancies.

The Grass so little has to do
The Grass so little has to do -- A Sphere of simple Green -- With only Butterflies to brood And Bees to entertain -- And stir all day to pretty Tunes The Breezes fetch along -- And hold the Sunshine in its lap And bow to everything -- And thread the Dews, all night, like Pearls -- And make itself so fine A Duchess were too common For such a noticing -- And even when it dies -- to pass In Odors so divine -- Like Lowly spices, lain to sleep -- Or Spikenards, perishing -- And then, in Sovereign Barns to dwell -- And dream the Days away, The Grass so little has to do I wish I were a Hay! by Emily Dickinson

Hi! I think your photos are so pretty and they remind me of a dream I had. I wanted to ask what camera you use (unless it’s just a phone) and also, I noticed your subjects seem pretty specific, so I wanted to ask why you like taking photos of those said specific subjects. Thanks!
Hey! Thank you 🐸 Really appreciate the feedback
I’ve mostly used two Nikons and sometimes phone cameras. If you wanna know the exact version of the Nikon you can click in the top right corner of a photo when you’re on tumblr in a browser.
I guess I used to feel the most alive while I was asleep and dreaming before. That felt more real to me than waking life. So one purpose of my blog was to connect that reality with my waking state. That’s the vibe I’ve been trying to connect with on the blog through my photos and art. And actually in the past year I’ve been starting to experience that reality in my waking state A LOT… especially with my boyfriend who I incidentally met through tumblr…

Hello. My name is Todd, but you can call me Squee if you want to. This is my JtHM sideblog, created with encouragement from one of my friends.
I’m not the smartest guy around, I’ll admit, but i want to share my thoughts on this comic with the wider fandom, especially since it means a lot to me. I hope you’ll stay for the ride.

Scrooge McDuck in Australia in search of a shiny crocodile egg - The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck - Donald Duck and Joey the Kangaroo - Daddy Duck - Australia Day - Duckverse
Yes, I am late, because Australia Day is celebrated on the 26th of January, but for some reason I didn't get to finish it until now. However, since I'm currently in the spirit of Australia, I'm going to publish some drawings of our heroes related to that country.
By the way, Australia Day is celebrated because on that day, in 1788, the first fleet made landfall and raised the British flag under the command of Arthur Phillip and founded Sydney there. Admittedly, the first settlers were prisoners.
The first drawing I drew was related to The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and the comic "The Dreamtime Duck of the Never-Never", which was the seventh part of the cult album by Don Rosa and tells about Scrooge's trip to Australia and his many misadventures . Scrooge met the highwayman and saved the aborigine from that highwayman. That aborigine is called Jabiru the aborigine and he is a representative of the indigenous people who lived in Australia. Scrooge found a brilliantly decorated egg that was worth a fortune, yet hearing from Jabiru the dream stories, otherwise known as Dreamtales, which were painted in the cave, he gave up on it and moved on in search of greater riches. I drew Scrooge, Jabiru, and a bound highwayman in a cave that was painted with various images that foretell Scrooge's future (you can see the Money Bin and Scrooge's future family members Donald and Huey, Dewey, and Louie). By the way, I used painting motifs as used by Aboriginal people and as used by Don Rosa in his comics, but I combined them in my own ways. Yes, and music related to these drawings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLVPgNjQ5kg
The second drawing is a redraw from the Donald Duck classic short "Daddy Duck" from 1948, directed by Jack Hannah, where Donald adopts a baby kangaroo named Joey the Kangaroo. Although mischievous, that kangaroo still loved his adoptive father Donald, as he loved him, and in my opinion it is one of the few moments (at least as far as Jack Hannah is concerned) where Donald finally had a happy ending. Yes, I drew it, because after all, kangaroos live in Australia.
I hope you like these drawings and these ideas and feel free to like and reblog this! And happy belated Australia Day!

Dreamtime
In Dreamtime, where stories flow, Once we lived dreams, all aglow. But shadows crept, fears took flight, Turning dreams to endless night.
From joyful dreams to tangled fears, Lost in sadness, drowned in tears. Yet in the dark, a spark remains, We must reclaim our dreams' bright lanes.
To dream like kids with hearts so bold, Letting imaginations unfold. From dreams, new ideas arise, Turning dark into sunlit skies.
So let's dream again, hearts unbound, In Dreamtime's dance, where dreams abound. Where creativity shines so bright, And joy returns with morning light.

Little mouse is going to sleep
Tumblr media
Little mouse is going to put to sleep. He climbs into his little bed in his little house. It is, already, a night. So, it is a time for a little mouse to sleep. It is a moon behind the window. And stars.
Sky is dark. And everything is so mysterious and interesting. And little mouse is cover himself with blanket. And prepare for sleep. There is a clear air in the streets. Night fresh air. A day was hot and sunny. And night is little cold.
Little mouse is thinking about a dreams and sleep time. A calm and good dreamtime. Little mouse is shaking with his little tail. Maybe, it will be interesting dream, something. And, maybe, he is, already, dreaming, and see a dream. It is a joke. Not yet.
Little mouse sits comfortable in his little bed. And he hears how calm it is outside. So, all day he was running. And do a good useful things. And have a break, free time too. He spoke with his friends.  Grasshoppers, chicken, duckling, little owl. Mole came to his place as a guest. Hedgehog was running across his place. So, lots of things it was for a day.
And time by time, he checks his blanket. Air is fresh. And he is starting to sleep. And at the sky, stars go light, one by one. Moon is shining. Calm. And little mouse is also going to sleep. And, sometimes, he shakes with his little tail. Little mouse is sleeping in his little house. He has a little house at the tree. With little stairs. So, at last, little mouse is going to put himself into the bed! Little mouse is going to sleep!

I just had a nightmare where I reset my microwave by accident and all it would do was play Kesha songs.
Me: no NO I just want you to heat up this burrito I'M HUNGRY
The microwave: would you like to make a new playlist? See what's in you queue? Here's a song you might like.
Me: NO PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU *searching frantically through settings* WHERES THE OFF BUTTON
The microwave: *plays some mangled remix* I found this one on the internet from a playlist you clicked on one time
Me: *can't find the proper setting in the 5000 menu options* YOU AREN'T EVEN A MICROWAVE ANYMORE
The microwave: have you tried downloading the app?
I woke up crying, mad, and hungry. I think I might hate modern technology in my subconscious.
