Gynt is my next gen kid, daughter of Nomura and Draal the Deadly. She was unknowingly conceived before Draal’s unfortunate demise, adding to Nomura’s stress & grief. Fortunately she had the help of the troll market villagers to help bare the burden.

Gynt is a perfect blend of both her parents but has the spirit & personality of her father. Passionate, loyal and hot headed.

Broppy wedding!! I don’t remember who it was but someone mentioned that trolls probably do some ceremonial hair thing when they get married, and that’s all I could think about for the past month..

Trolls1 broppy is so special and important to me. I have brainworms (and they get more and more unhinged as we go) about them CONSTANTLY. Like:

First we have poppy making branch personalized invites to her parties even though he never comes. (She’s letting him know that he IS wanted among trolls.)

Branch KEEPS all of them!!!!!!! THAT IN ITSELF MAKES ME WANT TO THROW UP!

Kung Fu Panda 1 would’ve been a lot better if the villain was more complex like the second movie. This is not a unique take.

However.

It could have been a great story about a parent loving a toxic child. We see it in the reverse in majority and of course it makes sense. But I think it would have been really different to see that.

Show Shifu attempting to visit in jail and being turned away. Show sending letters not to receive any back. Yada yada yada.

I know Tai Lung betrayed the monastery and whatever. That is still vital and important and damaging. That part shouldn’t be erased. But many parents still love their children despite doing terrible things. There is an interesting story in that. And in turn I think it would’ve fleshed out Shifu as a character better too.

I’m high and thinking too hard about something that wouldn’t happen in a comedy focused movie. I also don’t think a movie about the “child” being the toxic one in the relationship would sell well. Oh well.

But still. You know. If I wrote it that’s the change I would make.
