Misophonia Youtube📽️
So a lot of the time, I find myself watching videos on mute because you never know when somebody's going to pull up with a dramatic lip smack, or coughing, sniffling, or worse - a surprise ASMR video showing up in your feed. Ick!!
But I've found something - I've made a breakthrough! The best misophonia channel on Youtube that I have ever found is Doctor Ali Mattu! He describes misophonia in such an accurate and detailed way. Not only that, I've watched his videos - no lip-smacking, no sharp S sounds, no wet-mouth-opening-into-an-inhale (if you know you know)
Here's a link to one of his videos:
youtube
Fun Fact: Misophonia is sometimes referred to as Selective Sound Sensitivity Syndrome.
ALSO I would just like to add that watching vent tiktoks may seem cringe but at long as it makes you feel better its perfectly fine💕
-Keep on feeling the love,

Name Etymology and Fenris
So Tevene is basically Latin, even with the borrowed Greek words. I'm a Classicist, so Fenris' sword having a proper name that sounds Latin-esque haa bugged the shit out of me. DA draws a lot on actual Greco-Roman myth and language (see: Corypheus' name being the Latinized Koruphaos, meaning Chorus Leader). But I think I figured it out.
Fenris' sword is named Lethendralis, right? Broken apart, it is Lethe+dralis (the n is there to make it sound right). Dralis breaks down further to dru+alis, making the name Lethe+dru+alis.
Lethe is the name of one of the Greek Underworld rivers, the river of Forgetting. In myth, drinking water from or submerging yourself in the river will cause all the memories to flow away from you.
Dru is the Greek word for tree.
Alis is a suffix (attached to end of a word) to make it into an adjective. In English, we use the derivative -al ending (think vital, lethal, mental).
So, putting it together, that would mean the name of the blade is "The tree next to Lethe". In myth there is, in fact, a cypress tree next to the river.
In terms of iconography for Fenris, specifically, Lethendralis is the tree while Fenris is the river whose memories have been carried away. This also further amplified by the fact that once you give him the Blade of Mercy, he uses that instead of Lethendralis - memories are being made to replace the lost ones.
Also, "Fenris" rightfully gets an association with Fenrir, the Norse wolf-monster. But since Tevinter is emphatically not Norse-inspired, I went looking for a Latin etmyology for his name as well and found one.
Fen+ris - "fen" comes from "fendere", or "to rend/tear" and "-ris" is just a suffix that makes it into a noun. Hence, Fenris' Latin etymology is "The one who rends".
As far as his original name, Leto, goes, that one catually belongs to a Greek goddess, the mother of Artemis and Apollo. This may also be revelant to Fenris' respite on Seheron (which itself might be a spin off the Greek word "semeron", meaning "field of blood"). Leto, once she got pregnant by Zeus, was cursed by Hera not to give birth on any land. Being an island which had not yet settled down, Delos offered to let Leto give birth there and escape Hera's ire. While not a clean one-to-one, Seheron also allowed Fenris to escape Danarius (a danarius, btw, is the lowest denomination of Roman coin). Hadriana, too, is the feminine form of Hadrian, a Roman emperor.
Hell, even "lyrium" is a Latinization of "lyra", which means "song" (so lyrium means "the singing [thing]").

okay so the way I can see this arc working is that Necrom revolves around saving Apocrpyha and Nirn as part of our deal with Hermaeus Mora, and that deal ends at the end of the chapter, but the other Princes that are colluding against him are still out to Cause Problems and achieve their goals, allowing future chapters to approach different Princes, while keeping a running connection to the events in Necrom ala the Triad Arc.
And speaking of which, we know Mora’s enemies are other Princes because Dralys pledged himself to more than one... this is Triad Arc 2: Electric Boogaloo, huh. I mean, it could be that Dralys was approached by multiple Princes who all have their own individual interest in Apocrypha but aren’t working together, and he just made deals with all of them to try and get the best outcome for himself but... I dunno, it feels like they’re trying to channel the Triad-era for the storytelling.
So far Peryite and Mephala seem the most directly involved from what we saw in the Scribes of Fate. The Matriarch with the Onyx Glyphic served Peryite while Valinna was after the Umber Glyphic and served Mephala, so those two are the strongest contenders imo.
Vaermina has an item tied to the dlc (the nightmare pillow) so there’s potential for her to be involved too... and maybe Meridia if ZOS are finally going to follow up on her? I somehow doubt it, because three enemy Princes + Hermaeus Mora is a pretty crowded stage already. Maybe we’ll get a hint on what’s going on with her, if anything, but I won’t hold out hope.

I posted this exact post on discord but I’m thinking about Drali. If you don’t know him, he’s my OC and part of the Kamino Guard, and a pretty integral part of his character is that his life is plagued by hilarity and tragedy.
His death was long and drawn out and painful, and he didn’t want to die so young, without enough experiences in the galaxy he so badly wanted to see. He’s never been in battle, other than the battle of Kamino. He’s never found someone who loved him romantically. He only got off of Kamino two times, each for only a day, the the second day was the day he died.
Drali spent his days surrounded by white walls and waves crashing against each other, and dreamt of a life that was more than this bc he’s a cringefail dreamer. He wanted to be remembered. He wanted to be loved and wanted that love to prove that he’s more than this.
And only when he’s dying does he realize that while he was constantly searching and dreaming of a different kind of love he lost tracks of all the ways he WAS loved. Love has been all around him the entire fucking time and that is so #cringefail. He loved his family! And his friends! And they loved him too! He was happy more often than not.
And… That’s enough.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that Drali did not die unhappy. Even though he achieved a total of 0 of the goals he set for himself.

So last year, I had my friend @whimsicalparadox do the visual design for a character in the Menagerie-verse, because I knew this character hit a lot of her aesthetic sweet spots: star and moon themed, abilities based on colors, and is guaranteed to be a problematic fave. She did an absolutely amazing job, and I've been itching to include her in some of the Menagerie content, but it kept getting pushed back.
Well that time is finally coming up, so I needed to do some samples to make sure I knew how to draw her well enough without having to constantly refer back to her character sheet. This is the one I liked the best, so I took a little each time to clean it up and render it.
