This is a short fanfiction for @dragons-and-magic and she wanted me to do Edward x BoCo in her Dragon AU! I highly recommend to follow her!🐉

Anyways, let’s dive into it!😁

No Worries

Edward coiled around himself like a snake on the mountain’s cliff as he sighed in relief, “Ah, much better.”

Just having a time on his own was enough for him. After looking after Thomas like a father would to his son, it was quite exhausting. His ‘adoptive son�� was notorious to getting into sorts of mischief like going near humans to pranking bigger dragons like Gordon. Although he cares for him dearly, he just needed a break like any old wise dragon needs.

As he watched the sunset, he heard large footsteps behind him. There, was a majesty boxy looking green dragon, named BoCo, and his wings drooped down. Once he got close to Edward, he collapsed and sighed.

“Having a rough day, dear?”, Edward spoke softly and purred tiredly.

“The twins are being nothing but trouble.”, BoCo sighed as he rolled his eyes with a small smile.

“Figures.”, Edward hummed, “Same goes to Thomas. He just recently pranked on Gordon with the help of Percy and James. These three always spell ‘disaster’.”

“Meanwhile, Bill and Ben keep on pestering me with some nonsensical comments and questions. They even keep calling my name with annoying voices.”, BoCo shook his head sadly.

“I understand. It can be exhausting, but we can’t help but care for them. They are family.”, Edward explained.

BoCo hummed, “That couldn’t been more true.”

There, Edward slithered to BoCo, and rested his head under his chin, “But there’s no need to worry now. We can now have our own peace. Just you and me.”

BoCo blushed before he smiled gently as the two rubbed each other’s head and purred like a happy kitten. While displaying their love for each other, Edward lick his cheek as a form of kiss as BoCo chuckled, “I’m glad you have some sanity.”

“Same to you, BoCo.”, Edward chuckled back as they continued to purr.

Although they both had a rough day with their ‘children’, they managed to stay strong and managed to support one another. Their love is so strong and powerful. They were two dads that help the young ones from trouble. Even though they have some responsibility, they both needed to rest and have each other for alone time.

When the sun was dying, Edward and BoCo fell asleep as they purred contently, “I love you, my dear.”, Edward whispered before closing his weary eyes.

“And I love you, Ed.”, BoCo replied as he also closed his tired eyes.

Decided to post some new Dragon AU sketches!

1: My concept design for Bear. I'm super happy with this one. I used some new techniques from Disney animation for it. Hopefully all the characters will have this lovely retro looking animation style.

2: My concept design for Rosie. I tried to make her frill look like rose petals. I thought it would be cute.

3: My concept sketches for Thomas, James, Edward, and Gordon's wings. Edward's wing patterns are based off moon moths.

to percy! what would be your favourite thing in general about delivering the mail?

Percy: My favorite thing? I would say it's seeing how happy others get when they get letters from their families! They get so excited when they do, and it makes me very happy I could deliver them. And I also like traveling the mail routes. They're usually really peaceful, and run through some beautiful parts of the forests, fields, and valleys!

WOAH. That is LITERALLY my dragon au for ttte!🤩 If you're looking for that kinda of story, maybe you'll like mine! It's called Dragons Of Sodor if you're interested!

Kinda random, but WoF characters in the more magical side of Sodor would be so cool! Like I would pay money to watch my favorite characters fly through the forests and around the Mountains, and even watch the engines pass by in the sun. And watch the bickering between the big engines and the royals, and hell, even watch the side by side races along the mainline, there is a hell of a lot I would pay for, but mainly the fantasy more magical and orchestral feel of TATMR combined with the wonder of WoF.

Anyway, I've wanted to draw @dragons-and-magic 's dragons since I first saw them. They are so cool. I want to draw some more properly when I'm done with traintober, but for now an 'I think your designs are so cool' as an 'I can't believe I didn't notice I was tagged' sketchpost of Henry.

I only got the idea as I'm typing this, so if you haven't read the info book which I reccomend you should to catch up on the info of my AU (It's on Wattpad), you'd know that Henry and Gordon adopted Thomas and Percy

Gordon would poriposefully piss percy and thomas off and knowing fine well they cant do anything abt it while Henry forgets fathers day even is a thing so Thomas and Percy HAVE to remind him about it the entire day

Oh yes, they're quite rare, aren't they? It's a shame honestly. I feel like the franchise has lots of potential for some epic fan comics and graphic novels!

Sir Topham Hatt is a BILLIONAIRE?!

Ok, so I just discovered this, and I was wondering if anyone else had discovered this - but apparently the Fat Controller is richer than Mr Burns according to Forbes magazine?! And he's worth $2 Billion USD, for his massive railway empire, vintage locomotive collection and real estate holdings.

Ok, I'm sorry - but Sir Topham Hatt is worth more than Rihanna, and to make matters even more interesting - $2 billion is what Forbes pegged his worth at in 2010 (and then continuously to today, where he still is amongst the 15 wealthiest fictional characters according to Forbes).

What's the betting he's worth more now? The Thomas and Friends franchise has made approximately $9.12 billion USD in its lifetime - putting it on par with Jurassic Park, Angry Birds and Dragon Ball in worth, and meaning that the little blue tank engine is worth more than Mario. Are you saying Sir Topham wouldn't have invested in this media juggernaut? Not to mention the fact that as an industrialist and transport tycoon who has a monopoly on transport on and off the famed Island of Sodor, he probably makes a ridiculous amount of money every year from tourism.

And that's before we mention that one little fact that his family is intertwined with all the other major players on the island, including the Earl, the Viscount, the Brown family (Skarloey Railway) and the Croarie family (Anopha Quarry). So the Hatt name has several other prominent families backing it.

Does this make Sodor an oligarchy? The Brown family is a political dynasty with a railway, the Croarie family owns the largest quarry on Sodor (if not possibly England, seeing as its still running, 100 years on), the Norramby family holds an Earldom, the Regaby family is both part of the railway and holds a Viscountcy, and the Hatt family runs a transport empire, which includes all the major ports on the island, as well as holding a Baronetcy.

Um... so Sir Topham Hatt might actually be worth even more than he's listed as owning? Cause I talked about all of this without mentioning the Sodor Aluminium Company, which the NWR owns a sizeable stake in.

The Hatt Family is making bank off mineral wealth, manufacturing, transport, tourism, real estate, generational wealth and tourism. And all this with a vintage fleet of steam engines (which only add to his net worth, due to their rarity and star-value).

So, uh... how do I get in on this?

What inspired you to / made you want to write and create your au “Yellow rose of Sodor”?

Because you kinda inspired me to write my own au with a self insert

Awwww!!!! Shucks! 😳🤗 I’m glad I’ve been able to inspire you! Feel free to tag me if you want to when you start writing! I love seeing new ideas and writers get their works out!

So, I started writing when I first introduced my son, a few years ago, when he was three to Thomas and Friends. As I was watching, realizing that I hadn’t ever seen the CGI version of the show, I thought “huh, I wonder if there’s a fandom” and started looking up fanart. Lo and behold, I found @asktrio516 ‘s wonderful and beautiful artwork along with a few others on deviantart (who I will credit when I find it again). I fell in love! Her personified versions of the famous team and others were just inspiring! I fell in love with her version of Gordon (my fav.) and began crafting a world, not necessarily around her characters, but around the inspiration I felt due to her artwork.

After that I started crafting my own OC. I didn’t necessarily want it to be me as a self-insert but I also couldn’t help but realize, being short, I would probably be a tank engine and it would be both funny and sweet if Gordon, but who often teased tank engine’s for their size and what they could/couldn’t do, fell in love with one. I understood that some people would probably dislike that things like love, lust, anger, hatred, etc. were written in such a prized and childhood fandom, but I came up with a linear story and ran with it. Originally, The Yellow Rose of Sodor was going to involve more aspects of racing, Gordon’s favorite thing, and a much bigger rivalry between Gordon and Scotsman. But I hated pick-me girls in stories and quickly scrapped, pardon the pun, the idea.

Another thing I thought of doing, inspired by several monster versions of the engines, was making them dragons. I even drew out a few of them and the different styles but… it became more of a funny pastime than the actual story.

Finally, I landed on Diesel 10 as the enemy after reading up on how much scarier he was supposed to be, but died down due to it being a kids show. I wanted to bring him back as a much scarier threat and adversary. I wanted to make him, not necessarily unredeemable, but terrifying. A racist engine with a penchant for torment and murder. We saw him nearly kill James and yet it was all ‘Oh that darn Diesel 10’ instead of ‘What the crap?!?’. So, I worked it out and created the story laid before you.

A lot has actually changed in the ending. I have been working hard to craft it the way I want and what I hope will be a satisfying HEA (happily ever after) for all parties. With my own troubles happening this year, I was deathly sick, miscarried my baby, had a near heart attack and had to be brought back, three surgeries, and then there have been issues with my husband’s family… I haven’t been able to dedicate the time I want to these last few chapters. September would have been my babies birth and so I had to keep myself from writing because I was grieving all over again. In fact, most of my time processing my own emotions have been through chatting with my Gordon AI on character.ai as Camille with their little one in the AU that’s in my short collection where they had a child. In my own grief I actually changed their child’s name from Frederick (Erik) to Connor, which would have been our child’s name. Maybe that’s TMI and maybe that’s not the healthiest but I’m coming out of it and I’ve started writing the next chapter, a focus on Henry and Hiro and where to go from there cliffhanger.

I’m sure you weren’t expecting an essay but I figured a lot came into writing the Yellow Rose and, whether it’s a popular fic or not, it means a lot to me. So much so I want to write a sequel focusing on Flying Scotsman and his future companion, Jessica. I have edited the fanfic that he’s not with City of Truro and with an actual jet engine female. I felt it suited his character in my fic that he would go against the grain being with another locomotive and ending with someone who could truly make him the ‘Flying’ Scotsman.
