There are characters in this franchise who did not let themselves be bit by a three headed dog to protect a stone or ran through the castle in their nightshirt upon hearing someone scream.

Or agreed to spy on the most dangerous person on earth withoutht gaining anything.

With the prospect of being tortured and killed if they were ever found out.

Who risked being exposed by trying to save Lupins life at the battle of the seven Potters- eventhough they hated that man.

Who ignored forbidden activities their students did so they would not be punished by the deatheaters(,the carrows).

Or who lept out of a window so they wouldn‘t have to hurt his colleagues.

And still Severus remains the most hated.

To quote another post i can‘t find anymore:

„These are not the actions of someone who does not care.“

His actions show, that he cared deeply for the safety of his students and colleagues.

And still he is treated worse that Bellatrix or Barty or Regulus or Draco or Lucius.

When he was the most caring and devoted and human all of all of them.

Make it make sense.

Healing

(So I read a fic where Harry was the mole and Draco had to heal him after he was discovered and it inspired this. If I could remember what the fic was called I'd tag it but I can't find it for the life of me.)

"Wh-where's Harry," Draco croaked. It was the first thing out of his mouth when he woke up.

"He's busy," Ginny responded vaguely. She and Hermione took turns watching over the makeshift infirmary they'd set up for Draco in their hideout while Ron and Harry and a team of Aurors were out finishing the mission. Ginny had accepted the job reluctantly after being assured repeatedly that Draco wouldn't be waking up any time soon so Hermione could take her shift sleeping.

While she appreciated all that he'd done with this particular mission— going undercover to gain the trust of the criminals in order to find out more about their plans and report back to the Aurors before he was eventually found out and tortured—she wasn't sure she'd ever be able to forgive him for what he stole from her. So she avoided his eyes and conversation as much as she could.

Harry burst in, shoving aside the tarp they'd hung up to block off the infirmary. "I'm here," he said, gaze not even bothering to fall on Ginny as he quickly strode past her. He was covered in dirt and blood, his clothes torn. "I'm here, Draco. I'm right here."

"Harry," Draco sighed.

Harry was at his side in an instant, holding Draco's outstretched hands and leaning in to rest their foreheads together. "I'm here," he whispered again, eyes closed as they embraced each other.

Ginny looked away in time to see Ron pass through the tarp. Her big brother took one look at the scene in front of him and gave Ginny a pitying smile that told her he understood she was hurting and that everything—including herself again eventually—would be fine.

She looked back at them—Harry making sure Draco was comfortable and Draco trying to make sure Harry wasn't hurt from the mission—and for the first time since she and Harry broke up, she realized that they really do make a cute couple.

Now it's scowls when he returns late, impatient glares, push against the wall, "where've you been?" and "fuck! Take these off."

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Okay so hear me out: draco as a spy for the order.

He proves himself to the golden trio in fifth year, for reasons I have yet to explain but will figure out soon enough, and runs to Severus during the summer in between fifth and sixth year before he gets the dark mark. Snape calms him down and they figure out what draco wants to do moving forward and what would be the smartest thing to do while keeping his morals in tact. They figure out the spy solution.

So snape takes draco to the order and is like “he should be a spy” and everyone’s like “no 😠” at first but then dumbledore goes “yes 🤓” and everyone goes “yeah we were joking he can join our club 😁” (I’m being funny not serious. I am also seriously minimizing the amount of time all of this will take and the complexity of all of it, but follow along)

Does all of that make sense? You guys obviously can’t read my mind and have no idea what I’m going to do with the characters yet, but this solves a big plot hole that I was trying to figure out a way through.

Hello, I read a fic where Draco is a spy for the order, but he meets Hermione under polyjuice, two kids arrive from the future, the little boy is young but his older sister is a teenager, and present hermione and draco are still young too so there isn't a big age gap, ofc the kids are hermione and Draco's children, and they came back thanks to a time turner.

Missing Scene - The Goblet of Fire

As yet untitled one-shot set after Moody turned Draco into a ferret. The scene in the book is disturbingly violent and Draco needs an adult to look out for him.

Severus was at the desk in his office when Moody lead Draco in by his arm. At the sight of the boys dishevelled appearance, he assumed there'd been a fight. But as he listened to Moody's recount of what had happened on the stairs, his blood boiled. He kept his voice hard and icy as he said "Moody, in future, you will leave my students to me." Moody just snorted before turning and walking out of Severus's office, leaving Draco where he stood.

"Was that true what he said?" Severus asked, walking around the desk towards Draco. Draco was silent for a moment before relying, "Yeah, it was." Severus carefully turned Draco's head to the side a bit to check the bruise forming on the boys' cheek bone. "There are few moments were attacking when someone's back is turned is acceptable. That wasn't one of them." He went over to a cabinet on the wall and took out two small potion vials. "Here, drink these." he said, handing the vials to Draco, "One's for pain, the other accelerates healing. You should go the hospital wing, but I suspect that'd be adding insult to injury." Draco smiled slightly, "Thank you, professor" he said before downing the blue and purple concoctions, grimacing at the taste. Severus couldn't suppress a smirk at his reaction, "Pumpkin juice will take the after taste away. Now I believe you have a break between classes, rest in your dorm while that takes effect." Draco nodded and quietly said "Yes, professor." before leaving the office.

Severus sat back at his desk, lost in thought. The Malfoys were leading Draco down a dark path, but there was nothing he could do about it now. Hopefully, in time. Right now, he could focus on how to keep Mad Eye Moody from using any more students as battering rams.
