Another from the list of polls I've been wanting to start, this time about your favorite "Watson" or sidekick character in a detective or mystery related piece of media! They can be an adaptation of John Watson or an entirely different character who fills that role, so long as they have a Sherlock-type partner they work with to complete that dynamic.

I can't possibly cover every Watson type character, especially since Tumblr polls only give me 12 options, so I've filled out some on the top of my mind or ones that are more famous, and then there's the "Other" option to support any favorites not on the list.

There's several John Watson adaptations where he's pretty close to the book canon, so I haven't listed all separately here, mostly just ones where there's a more distinct change (modernization, etc.) or he has more focus.

I was in a random department store a couple of days ago and saw a few items that had cute little designs of bees on them (plates, blanket covers, picnic basket, etc.) and immediately went "ooh, Sherlock and Joan would love these" then took pictures of it just in case so you're in good company don't worry 😂

I know I’m obsessed with elementary bc I’m sitting in a cute diner right now and I’m thinking about how Sherlock and Joan would sit somewhere like this and discuss a case

3 more days to go! This has been fascinating to watch the spread between the different Watson adaptations and also fans of some other Watson figures in the comments and tags! Special shoutout to Totomaru Isshiki as a character I love but whom I didn't have space to add to this poll, I still adore you, Toto. ❤️ And it's been so fun seeing all the Gus fans come out to support our boy! Best Sherlock/Watson Meet-cute

As expected Lucy!Watson slayed like the queen she is. There's also something warming seeing that both of the Watsons of color doing well when both of the actors faced a fair share of racism from their fandoms.

Since we all like our ships around here, I figured I'd poll which Meet-cute is the best favorite. None of our Sherlock-Watson duos had the same introduction, so I thought this would be fun.
