Announcement: A Wild DIPPLINSHIPPING HYPE WEEK appeared!

As you may know, the Indigo Disk DLC released on December 14th, 2023. In anticipation of the upcoming 1 year anniversary, we're banding together to celebrate the wonderful conclusion of the DLC storyline and all of the swoony & angsty moments of dipplinshipping as a whole!

This event and its prompts are based entirely on community ideas and voting. According to final responses, most dipplinshipping community members prefer to celebrate from Saturday, December 14th, 2024 (Indigo Disk Anniversary Date) to Friday, December 20th, 2024.

Event Guidelines:

Any art form is welcome. Whether you want to draw, paint, write, create music, or so on - we love and encourage it!

Participation is entirely up to the creator. While the official start and end dates of the celebration week are outlined, you are more than welcome to release submissions at your own pace and liking. If you only want to do 1 or 2 prompts, no worries! If you want to do all 7, have at it! Just make sure you're having fun. :)

Please mark your content accordingly and remain mindful of community safety and comfort. I plan to promote all content that is created for this event, but will not be promoting inappropriate themes (e.g., NSFW, violent/graphic content, inappropriate treatment of minors or pokemon, or any other related themes that may be questionable or discomforting). Off theme submissions will also not be promoted (e.g., OC shipping).

How do you make teams suited for double battles?

In earlier games I'd just take out one pokemon and then the other one without really any team synergy at all.

If the DLC "The Indigo Disk" focuses on double battles; what's the best thing to do? I'm so used to going in high level and just kinda steamrolling everything without thinking of team synergy at all.

My first thought was abomasnow and froslass that I caught, setting up snow to raise evasion assuming abilities are correct, and hoping blizzard hit.

Then there's flying pokemon with avoiding moves such as earthquake, and entry hazards such as spikes/toxic spikes, but not stealth rocks obviously, and sadly that's as in depth as my experience with double battles goes.

If it's at a high level, i very well might be screwed and now worry that I'll never finish the DLC because I'm not good at double battles.

that sounds like a very childish way of playing pokemon but yea I steamrolled some of the game with the ursaring I built for blissey raids without a second thought, lol.

I think the funniest thing that happened in my fight against Kieran in the Indigo Disk DLC was that I Tera-Fairyed on my dragon type when he sent out his Hydrapple, so after he gave his whole grand announcement about how he'll beat me and prove that he's changed, he immediately went for Fickle Beam on it and had no effect :x

Fun Bug I Found: If you have one of the opponent's Pokémon registered but not the other, the battle screen will still show the weaknesses of the unregistered Pokémon.

My team I used for Indigo Disk. There were some hurdles, but these guys did pretty great! Once I found the right strats, we had an easier time

icarus: this bitch knew i had a sun team and led politoad. took out my first sun setter, the wake, the ogre, everyone. he made me use my sixth pokemon (koraidon). nobody makes me use my sixth pokemon.
