Can we agree Area Zero is the place in Pokemon ? The view is the best is SV for sure, the music so beautiful (thanks Toby Fox), and seeing all of the friends talking between them is perfect (especially Penny and Arven bickering).

Since I didn't finish the Artober at all, I've been thinking about posting some drawings of Scarlet/Violet, as I've been playing those in the last months a lot. Maybe slowly warm up again to the "arctober" drawings at some point...

i love paldean pokemon design but this gen has some of the worst shinies in the franchise. im unreasonably angry about ceruledge and armarouge like its literally just the eyes, i had to sit there for a minute looking at ceruledge and wondering if serebii had accidentially put the same image twice

so many of them preserve too many colors from the original form...for some of them, this works (imo), like the tinkaton line:

the pokemon looks the same but the hammer has changed colors, i think that's great. komala's shiny does the same with its log and its very fun (though i can understand being underwhelmed by it).

but on the other hand you have kilowattrel and scovillain-

the brightest, most iconic colors in the design are left completely unchanged, and only the darker secondary colors are swapped out. it leads to a really underwhelming shiny design that absolutely fails to stand out from the original.
