I realized I haven’t posted much art in awhile! Here’s some older but fun TWST nonsense :D

theres a relatively small scene in grian's episode 4 of secret life where he's caving and accidentally breaks a stalactite that hits him in the face and he expresses a large amount of grief over losing silly hearts. later in the episode he crawls home after nearly starving in the mines and finds scar in his egg to which he sorta chases him out and then decides to go try to make friends and regretfully goes to his neighbour who's also not got really any friends.

i drew a small comic about it in November but there are a few parallels there between secret life and double life. first of all, grian reveals that they're bonded at the end of the first episode by dropping a stalactite on scars head at which point they share the damage and scar realizes they're soulmates. additionally, a smaller piece, many double life pairs were incredibly concerned about starving because of how much food they were constantly using because it was so easy to lose hearts and kill both yourself and your partner. then there's the grian chasing scar out of his flammable newly built base, this time without the jellie pandas

the premise of my mini comic what the idea that in getting hit in the head with the stalactite c!grian sort of flashed back to double life and then with all the time to ruminate in it as he was crawling back from the mines he realized it was kind of messed up what he did to scar back then and was going to try to make friends with him again (all the art I've seen of grian asking scar to be friends again with a bouquet of sunflowers genuinely breaks my heart a little bit each time with all the parallels between that and 3rd life-)

Anyways this is just solidifying my headcanon that the Desert of Doom is just fucking weird like that and makes multiple people see the same mirage at once and in quick succession because what the fuck was up with that.

I wasn't sure if you wanted fandom specific ones so here's just a collection of some of my all time favourites. These aren't one's that I've linked on this blog before, just because I already have given those appreciation posts and I have SO MANY FICS and authors that I love. Anyways, all of these are /reader - and most have mature tags, so just be mindful : )

BG3:

[Ongoing!] Hellish Rebuke by @bludazey is an Ascended!Astarion fic that answers the open ended state we left Tav and Astarion in. It's dark and filled with drama in such an addicting way I am literallly almost falling off my chair waiting to see what happens in it! Everyone within it is characterised well and the lore put into our MC makes choices a much more 3 dimensional thing as they are not a blank slate like the ingame Tav! [Complete!] Aleatory by @avas-poltergeist is a prequel fic for a durge run centering Astarion x Durge and it's a fic that knows the tone it should take and executes it perfectly. I especially love how it doesn't hold your hand through it's narrative and doesn't treat it's reader as if they are stupid. Some actions, feelings and thoughts are almost done as if they are environmental storytelling and I am a SUCKER for it. Also I just adore the durge being a halfling- they are characterised perfectly. Transformers:

[Complete!] Gravity by @shinyportalsandthings - ohhh my god I dont even what to say. This fic is a Starscream fic and wheeew boi it can be hard to make the gremlin a compelling romance but this fic blows it out the park. The dialogue is witty and natural- I adore the scale of it because it's not a "let's end the millions of years long war" it's just a "let's go be happy" - UGHHH It's just so fun, redeemed Starscream I love you. ((More reccomendations for Transformers are on my metal dune, found here!)) Misc:

(Doom (2016)): [Complete] Rip And Tear (Into My Ass) by Goremungunder is one of two inspirations for my entire writing style. It's a Doomslayer insert fic and it's just perfect in every way. Such an enjoyable read and an excellent fic for a x reader tag that doesn't get much attention. I think about this fic at least once a month and have read through it like 5 times pls give it some love its amazing.

(League of Legends) [Complete - I believe- but set to ongoing] Dream a Little Dream by OrangeCrushCrushCrush is just hilarious and at the end of each chapter even features some art made by the author! All of their work is enjoyable to read, even without knowledge on the world or a pre-existing like for the character. I mean, the second half of this fic is centered around Yorick Mori- a character in League I had literally NEVER touched- but then I read this and mained top lane for like 4 months after.

I think I could actually go on forever, but I'll stop here for now. Thank you for the question Star! I really love getting to go through my bookmarks and deciding what I want to reread XD

Only Scar can survive Grian long enough on his own

3rd life - Grian killed him

Double life - Grian died therefore killing Scar

Limited life - Grian killed him

Compare that to Joel just straight up dying one episode in being Grian's task buddy

Most of the south land members died because of Grian or with him around

Let's not even talk about the bad boys

And it just so happens both Scar and Grian don't have teammates in SL

All I'm saying is that they should team up again

I feel like they'd get along really well due to how friendly they are, well Desert Flannel may have some commentary but the girl means good she's just rough on the edges.

When it comes to going to the 1.8 area of the wilderness, Ulu doesn't even go past the border. It's too cold for an old flame like her, she says, and the crew had to get the heaviest clothes they could to go there. Except Ezra, he's used to the cold.

The others had to drop their heavy clothes when going to the 1.5 wilderness area because Lord knows it's hot. It's a nice change but they have to get used to it or else they'll get sick. Desert Flannel caught the deadliest flu by going in her usual clothes and Spathodea got scared.

Avgust sweats a lot there but he has his summer clothes on, and Windsong may be quick to get used to the heat because of her multiple travels for research, but Vila might have a harder time at the beginning.

Let's do a special mention to Spathodea for looking like a wet dog trembling after insisting to go in her i0 outfit.
