#so there's this person on twitter who is like an infamous drama starter and got a whole forum shut down once #and they wrote this (different) book that's one of the greatest so bad it's good things i've ever read #a few great things that happen in that:#characters get in a car crash and flee on foot. later it's casually mentioned one character had both her legs amputated 'due to fractures'#the character pretending to be american by wearing maga hats that have spy gear built into them #the spy gear in question is an alarm that blares if someone lies in their vicinity #'stuff protocol ' said the queen. 'i'm getting hammered tonight'#the chapter where the prime minister is trying to watch the news so she keeps wandering into bars and tv shops and getting kicked out #the dragon that's casually described as 'about the size of 1000 elephants'#the dragon that's a 'dog dragon hybrid with a chihuahua body and a giant dragon head'#the dragon that's owner punched it in the face and only lets people approach if they 'do the iconic royal wave'#the characters being described as 'the short one' 'the guy with the beard' etc #but there being a lengthy detailed description of the characters in harry potter #'apparently a dragon had burnt essex to cinders in a matter of minutes'#anyways i found out they also wrote (a political parody of indiana jones???) for this book of kids short stories years ago #and you know. we needed to know #so it took me like 4 months to track this precious lost media down #which was very worth it because it turns out it's full of many other iconic gems like CELLAR HELL by Elizabeth Elgie (12)

Putting in my 2 cents about what animals (or I guess what dogs) Danny and Vlad would be

Danny definitely has guard dog in him, given his whole superhero thing, and I thought Akita with their thick coats would also fit in with his ice powers.

Vlad got the Silken Windhound which is a smaller, more lusciously furred borzoi (but he just tells everyone he's borzoi because he likes the connection to Russian royalty the breed has).

i get what u mean..!! im still trying to understand it too, but im happy to finally have a word that describes the feeling. i cant say for sure what will help u come to terms with your feelings, but i think its good to find people who will listen and take it seriously ^_^

#thank u for sharing your thoughts btw!! youre definitely not alone. a lot of things are starting to make sense for me now lol #i appreciate furry art and i think the community is fascinating but i dont see myself connected to it and i think this is probably why #i think.. there is definitely an overlap between therianthropy and the furry community and thats why they seem to go hand in hand #and im sure there are therians who also identify as furries. but the difference i think is somewhere in the approach #furries are more involved with costumes and characters but with therianthropy its like seeing an animal as part of you innately #like whenever i shake my foot i always somehow imagine it as a dog tail wagging.. and sometimes for a small moment my #mouth feels wider and full of sharp teeth when i yawn. its hard to describe but for me its like an out of body experience #i thought this just meant i have a doglike personality which. isnt wrong but well. i guess it runs a little deeper than that lol #this might also explain why ive been drawing the same dog creature for weeks and couldnt explain why #yapping #therian #art #doodles

Compiled here is almost every single design sketch I've done for this... AU? It's my nonsense, take it or leave it! The tag for it is "#The Great Detective's Animal Attorney", but the prefix is mostly for filtering, I just call it "Animal Attorney".

I must disclaim that this is not meant to "compete" with any other AUs or designs! They're all real and I hope my dognix can be friends with yours.

The below post has my designs for the Gavin brothers, Maya, Fransizka, Phoenix, Athena, Sholmes, Lord van Zieks, aaand a teeny Harebrayne. Sadly, no Apollo this time, all his art is doodles and I hit image limit anyways! Him and Trucy may get their own post soon, however!

These were all done with my non-dominant hand, and Athena was done on a Magma board, if that explains the anything.

The Gavins are the first ones I really did, and they're both caracals! I've kinda wanted to go back and change Klavier a bit in regards to an insane headcanon, but caracalvier is too iconic like this, I just can't do it

Putting Maya and Fran together, cause they're both kitties! If Maya was a specific breed, then I forgot, but Fransizka (and her dad, by extension) are both oriental longhairs. If I weren't presently injured, I'd draw a scrungly Manfred, but alas your mind's eye will have to do the work.

Phoenix is a puppy dog! Very very nearly made him a hyena... But I couldn't. I couldn't reconcile it with Ryunosuke. I have a Yeenix in the back, for any interested parties

LASTLY for my main-series designs is Athena! She's a seal. I don't think I had a specific reason besides not being able to get ears to fit with that ponytail... Might change her to a sea lion, though!

AAAAND TGAA BONUSES... Aka the Barokorn Cinematic Universe

Sholmes is a lion (with his sad little low testosterone mane)! He was easily the hardest, as I went back and forth... Alot. He was a pigeon at first! I contemplated rabbit..? But I tried to steer away from the mascot designs, generally. I'm happy with the decision of lion, however, mostly cause it gives him fun symbolism with the whole Professor thing.

The van Zieks-es are unicorns, and Bunnybrain is a pony! I could go more in-depth, buuut that's kinda spoilery

Ryunosuke and Kazuma (not pictured) are both puppy dogs, and I think I settled on bunny for Susato?? To make her pops a bunny also? I also have some sketches of her as a sugar glider, but I don't really like most of their art 👎 so there's a couple gaps here

If anyone wants to (??!?!?!!) you can use these designs for pretty much anything you want (and feel free to extrapolate upon the rest of their designs, most of these are very limited), just make sure to tag me, partially for credit, but also because I'd just REAAAALLY want to see... They are my babies, my world, I think I might break down into tears (/pos) BUT ANYWAYS I LOVE YOU ALL. I'm feeling a lot more confident in my training with Rory than I ever did with Mav, which is really cool, and the single best thing I started doing this time around was Rory Appreciation Time.

Allocating mindful screen-free time to be silly with Rory helped me avoid the puppy blues, creates a lot of levity, diffuses tension, and helps me learn more about what she finds rewarding. It's been really cool to see.

#dogblr #about aurora #rory appreciation time #i had dedicated snuggle time for mav but it wasnt as intentional #most of my intentional time for mav was training #and thats awesome!#but rory needs a lot more lightness and affection than mav did #rory appreciation time lasts about 5 mins at a time #we kinda go based on the vibe #sometimes its full body snuggles sometimes it's ridiculous playing that leads to zoomies #we do it at least 2x a day but usually 4x (before work at lunch and once or twice before bed)#it has helped rory immensely #her training sticks better when interactions are overwhelmingly positive #even bad training sessions are easily overshadowed by all the fun rory appreciation time sessions #anyway highly recommend mindful silly time with your dogs

hosting a small halloween party kind of thing before we all go to the halloween event at the local amusement park!!

so here is the little snack n drink menu:

- baked brie w some of the leftover pastry dough i made, maybe w fig or raspberry spread? not sure yet

- a mostly pantry charcuterie board w a couple rly solid aldi cheeses + meats, autumn fruits (i got pears, apples, + pomegranate), salty olive-y briney things, nuts, jams, + chocolate

- i have brown butter miso toffee pretzel chocolate chip cookie dough in the freezer i’ll bake too for somethin sweet (they r rly good, my favorite recipe ive ever made)

- my mom’s go-to simple party appetizer for my entire childhood was dates wrapped in thick cut bacon and this group of ppl rly loved this last time i made it haha so i’ll make some again

- a bright slime-green apple-y cocktail for the festive color mostly but also bc we have sooo much midori to use up LOL

- and a non alcoholic drink w a homemade blackberry syrup for the brilliant purple color, blood oranges, + sparkling water ? not sure if it’ll be any good we will find out hahaha

#honestly i love hosting #it gives me something to DO i feel a billion percent less awkward bc i am tending to people #the only thing that worries me is my sweet but excitable dog #he just adores guests and his enthusiasm is hard to match 😭😭#he’s got a powerful full-body tail wag that can clear a coffee table in a single swipe #he has no concept that not every person can reciprocate that level of enthusiasm lmfaooo #how to tell your labrador not everybody loves 80lbs of hot breath + hair #he’s a good boy tho lol i made him some frozen food puzzles to do so he’s not breathing down everyone’s necks lolll #personal
